quick shimeji help post

hello!

i'm not the best at code or troubleshooting, so i'm afraid that i can't personally help with most shimeji issues people are facing

please make sure to unzip your shimejis, and remove them from the Pack folder they're in. then place them in the "img" folder of the shimeji program.

please also make sure you aren't keeping the shimeji program folder somewhere like your downloads folder, as the location can mess with the program's functioning. try your desktop or documents instead.

hiiii i bought your kris and susie shimejis today and they're so cute!!! i'm just having trouble getting them both to work at the same time even though i've followed like all the guides i can find >_< if it's not too much trouble could you maybe make your own guide so i can figure out what exactly i'm doing wrong? sorry for bugging you and tysm in advance ^_^

i truthfully am not the best expert on shimeji, so i can't guarantee this will work for you.

i saw a comment someone posted elsewhere saying they used "the shortcut method" to get them working.

i believe the shortcut method is described in this faq video

how did you get so good at pixel art...

being an artist outside of pixel art is a plus

ive been observing pixel art i like (aka deltarune) and watching how animations n whatnot are done

using aseprite also is a big help cuz it has a "pixel perfect" brush option that prevents double lines (i really like it)

editing an existing character's sprites is a lot easier than conjuring up one yourself, as well
