I never actually used my scout all that often, and in my own playthrough I didn’t lose it into the Eye, either. But a little while ago my friend @starryeyedmagpie was playing, and the Little Scout was his everytool. When he got to this moment, he sent his scout ahead of him just like he always did, the trusty tool that kept him safe all through his journey…

And this time, it didn’t come back.

It struck him hard, and as I watched him fumble forward into the unknown missing a piece of himself, I just had to try and illustrate it. Both the ways that our experience of this amazing game is shaped by how we approach it, and specifically the sense of loss that I only got to experience secondhand.

"Rude Awakening"

This one has some history... This is a redraw of my first every Outer Wilds comic!

I remember back when I created the first one... My boyfriend really enjoyed the game, so I decided to watch a full playthrough of it (Thank you Antoine Daniel)... fell in love, started deep diving into the lore, started making a few drawings... and a little bit after, I drew the first version of this comic.

3 years later, I looked at it again and... yeaaaaah it didn't age well. Hatchy and Slate had flat faces, their eyes too close togethet, their mouths were weird, they looked sooo stiff...

So yeah! I felt the need to draw it again!

This is a pretty recent comic though. I might post older ones here with time.
