30 days Abs & Ass Fitness Challenges. Gyms are still closed and some of use are siting way more than we had before. All this sitting causes secretary spread (when you ass spreads as wide as the chair) and can cause atrophy in the glutes and hamstrings. This can lead to bad poster and hip issues… worst of all a flat ass! As far as Abdominals go who doesn’t like a narrower strong waist to support great posture? I sure do! Now that we are getting well into spring and summer its time to shed the lay of cookie, chips and ice cream that is covering our 6 packs. How will do i do this challenge you ask? You may choose to do the Abs month only or Ass (and legs) month only or do them both. In the perfect world you do them all together back to back with short rest (20-30 seconds) between each set and exercise. Ultimately if you get all the exercises done on that day you’re GOLDEN! so if you need a longer break or do the abs in the morning and Ass (legs) in the afternoon that is great! Just get it done in the day. If you have injuries please use modifications. I will highlight modifications to do in order to get the same (or similar) muscle activation. Success looks different for everyone. The important part is that you are doing it and challenging yourself! That is how you gain strength for your daily activites and perkier and peachy ass and stronger core. We did it!!!! Day 30 of TLC’s 30 day fitness challenge: to do 150 minutes of moderate to hard exercise a week (definitely try to break a sweat) for 30 days. 🏃 🧘‍♀️ 🚲 . . Now who knew a world pandemic would be thrown in the mix, and we DEFINITELY got thrown off our movement goals- but actually found the more we made them a priority, the better we felt physically and emotionally. . . ✨✨✨And just to remind you of the original these health facts that kickstarted this: A 2018 study by the CDC and the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System showed that Kentucky was the least-healthy state, with 32.4% fitting the physical inactivity criteria (no additional activity outside of jobs in a 30-day timespan). The CDC and NHS show that adults are supposed to get at least 150 minutes of exercise each week through various modalities, such as running, yoga, hiking, biking, etc. People who exercise regularly are at a 30-50% lower risk of depression, dementia, early death, type II diabetes, colon cancer, stroke and coronary heart disease. They also have a 68% lower chance of hip fracture and 83% lower risk of osteoarthritis. . . GETTING HEALTHY FOR YOU IS SO REWARDING!💪 150 minutes of exercise each week. The start of a new challenge
A little over a week ago, I decided that I was done with being consistently inconsistent.
Exercise is something I have to work at. It’s not easy for me to do it. For a long time, pretty much from age 15, I have been large, fat, even obese. I have lost, I have gained, I’ve dieted, I’ve gorged, I’ve been motivated, I’ve hated every second, I’ve exercised for love, to keep a marriage, to make myself attractive. Most of the time, exercise hasn’t actually been about making me feel good. Let’s face it, most of the time exercise sucks!
I have been inspired by a footy friend who’s just completed 1,000 days of daily exercise, in a row. Yep, 1,000 days! He’s done sessions with a hangover, sessions injured, but every day for a 1,000 days, for a minimum of 20 minutes, he’s exercised.
My challenge will be a bit shorter, I’m starting with every day for 30 days. What I want to make clear here, is that my weight is not the ultimate end goal, it’s a benefit of what I’m doing by moving every day. The main goal is to be consistent.
So the normal bit. I work full time shift work in the city, and travel by train. This takes up a minimum of 10 hours a day. I live in a country town, so have to travel to the gym. I lead a moderately social life on weekends, so spend a lot of time driving around. I like to travel, and I’m about to embark on my second football season as a Junior first aid officer.
This little blog will be a tracking of my workouts only. Food is not on the agenda here. I will share my workouts, and how I felt, my struggles and my learning. I’m using workouts from previous Personal Trainer sessions, circuits from my taekwondo days of almost two years ago, and fitness apps (free ones).
The photos are above, my challenge starting weight is 108.10kg and my starting waist measurement is 111cm. This was done on March

30 day coaching victory!! 💪🦁👍So proud of her determination- when she first approached me with her challenges- (Diastasis) separation of the abdominal wall/ back pain and weight gain- no matter how much she exercised on fitness apps and did caloric deficit- she wasn’t losing inches. 1.
