We live in a world that limits us from truly becoming who we want to be. These limitations are based on experiences of others, their failures and their own faith and confidence. Only to impose ceilings on our own goals, growth, and happiness. It’s starts with a “tgif” is one of the biggest express to heard when I was younger. And I adopted that expression only to feel temporary relief and happiness and to feel down and depressed on Monday. But I adopted that because I heard it in an elevator full of people with down faces. This is just one example. It’s when we actually realize that we are run by our external environment. The magic lies in our internal environment and thought process and the state we are in at all times. This gives birth to having the balls the courage to embark on a self transformation journey the first workout and the first chapter or one of the first chapter in my book! After almost 1500 strategy sessions, over 20 years in the coaching space, in a variety of disciplines, and public speaking, key note speaking and presenting to the marines and the army I have found one of the most common deeply rooted problems is lack of self belief. This stems from many factors for which I will discuss at another time. But something as simple as getting started on a fitness journey and a self transformation journey most people don’t hold that belief and confidence in themselves. Now I understand that some of us definitely have legitimate weight to lose and while thats relatively and arguably made popular by media/ the biggest loser.. etc.. but it’s has also created an obsession with the weight scale. The truth based on science after 20 years of professional coaching women on how to transform their body is that weight scale is the biggest lie for the majority of us. Things to look out for as a metric of health, fitness, wellness, looking and feeling good are below- Q. Are you dropping more body fat, belly fat, and Toning up? Q. Are you getting stronger weekly and monthly? Q. Are you doing your strength training weekly? If you are you are probably building more muscle and toning up? Muscle weighs more so that can off set the scale a little... Q. Did you have a big meal? Did you drink a lot of water? Q. Are your skinny jeans 👖 fitting better? Q. And granted there can be some hormonal issues but even then weight is not the best way to assess your wellbeing and your transformation. 1. I almost quit at age 25 when competing in martial arts and ready to hand in my uniform to my Sensei and he called me out on my bull shit and my fear of losing. Thankfully I had his support and I believed in him and went back the next day and became a gold medalist and a black belt! 2. I have injured my back multiple times in natural bodybuilding training and has to re-start again and re-build my self. But each time I learned a valuable lesson and deepening my commitment to my self and my journey. The universe has a strange way to teach us lessons! 3. I have faces challenges as a professional coach- 18 years going now not only with fighting the lack of education and the trends and false information on social media but also to grow as a person as a coach and as a business that empowers people. 3. I still get frustrated many times and have to work on my journaling and my rituals to keep me grounded and focused on my truth and my commitment! 4. Moral of the story- is you are committed- no matter what happens, what you don’t have or have, what you don’t know or know, you will find a way! That’s the power of commitment!
