Apologies to Minthara and Bhaal and everybody else who wants me to conquer the world via the Absolute, but an illithid empire is simply not my aesthetic. It's nifty, but not for me.

I am open to other apocalypse/world domination plans, however. Just with more subtlety, and less amphibious, without all the brain matter and chitin.

As someone who doesn't really pay attention to the Oilers in the regular season, do you guys also have a subset of fans who constantly want to trade your star players for no apparent reason?

I feel like McDavid hasn't been super noticeable in this series apart from Game 2. Are the village idiots calling for his head on a spike, or are your fans normal?

given that pokemon is currently the most popular media franchise of all time, there's a distinct possibility that in the modern era there exist more visual depictions of pikachu than there are of jesus christ

#like as far as im aware there aren't mass produced bible trading cards #or over 1000 episodes of a show where jesus appears in nearly every episode #or jesus bedsheets and backpacks and socks and graphic tees and video games #there are quite a few jesus figurines #but i'm not quite sure of the scale of them #especially relative to the sheer scale of capitalist mass production and consumption that the pokemon franchise is emblematic of #honestly? good for the little electric rat. he deserves it #turtle hall of fame

I sometimes casually play Pokémon Go. Really just dropping by catching a few Pokémon do this or that and just have fun.

Anyway today is/was a Litwick Community Day. Earlier I took a breather from a big task and booted up the game. As the area filled up with tons of Litwick I thought to myself how fun it would be if I managed to catch a shiny today. And in that same moment the Litwick I picked first… turned out to be a shiny! I managed to catch another shiny a few moments later. Kinda happy I got them. And since the first one is male I named him Ingo.

I know it’s a random tidbit but since Litwick is probably Ingo’s starter I felt like sharing this one. Either way I love my two smol shiny Litwicks to bits and I’m very happy.

I always enjoy having a cool favorite character in Pokémon. Every time I start appreciate their Pokémon even more than I already had. Now I’m a even bigger Litwick and evolution enjoyer.

Anon I’m so happy you got two shinies!!! It’s always such a great feeling when you click on a Pokémon you want on the map, and you find out it’s a shiny!! And Ingo is such a great name for it!!

Appreciating submas definitely made me more invested in litwick day too for the same reasons haha. I’ve been gone all weekend at a big event (which is why I’ve been inactive) and had a lot of fun today catching litwick too!

fuckin. i thought i was done with the "agonizing over career choices" part of job hunting when i submitted a resume, but out of goddamn nowhere another apprenticeship opportunity has fallen right into my lap. with applications closing tomorrow. so now on this day when i am so very exhausted i have been launched straight into the incredibly stressful business of asking myself what i want. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

#like idfk man #on the one hand this new path offers a lot of opportunity for growth and learning in a lot of areas #as opposed to the government job i already applied for #and it's full time rather than part time #like a real career start job as opposed to a trade #but on the other hand something is telling me that private sector + engineering-adjacent work + salary = will 1000% be expected to work #outside of contracted hours to get projects done on time #which i am Not about #fuck crunch time all the homies hate crunch time i just wanna do good and constructive work for a certain number of hours and then leave #but also that may just be sleep deprived paranoia and it's not like i can ASK someone if this is the case #not expecting an honest and unbiased answer at any rate #aaaaaaa i'm so tired :(
