It feels like this needs more clarification but basically it’s impossible for a situationship to stay a situationship if the terms are clarified . So you have to go out of ur way to be like “what the fuck are we” (in any situation ever….. this isn’t necessarily just ab romantic situationships) and then they could be like “I like u but I can’t go forward bc x” “I never liked u like that actually” “I secretly hate u and I don’t consider u a friend” and then u have their emotions in no uncertain terms and u go from there. The ideal window of time is for the admission of feelings . Not necessarily just for dating purposes. If someone does not elucidate their position w respect to u within a certain period of time then they have passed their ideal window

I'm sorry do you know how crazy Wukong and MK are. MK after listening to Azure's skewed history, that had MK saying "But Monkey King is a hero he wouldn't just..." "You saw it with your own eyes! His betrayal, his brutality, he took the only friends I had from me!". And even after MK was becoming slowly more and more convinced that Wukong was the "bad guy", he still lost his shit after Azure wouldn't give Monkey King back to him. Like, he did not care. He just wanted his mentor back. There was no waiting, MK just immediately destroyed everything around him. Like I'm telling you MK is going to destroy the world for Wukong or because of Wukong. It's so over.
