i’ve heard a lot of people say “don’t reach out to your friends first and see how many people will remain in your life. those are your true friends” and i get it. it sucks and it’s tiring constantly being the one to message first, to initiate hang outs but don’t take this so literally. some friendships require initiation. i have lost touch with so many people who genuinely cared about me and wanted me in their life because i stopped reaching out. it’s a hard pill to swallow but honestly some people just suck at it and it doesn’t mean they don’t love and value you. i’ve reconnected with some people over the past few months and it’s crazy how genuinely happy they are to see me and how engaged they are in the conversation. i just think sometimes we’re too harsh on each other & too quick to emphasize other peoples flaws and remove them from our lives but then we’ll all be alone and what’s the point of life then!!!!

what if we get a dream sequence where ed is longing for what could have happened, what should have happened. like, we see the same few beats of him on the dock, calling out for stede and looking increasingly concerned. but then the brush behind him rustles, and stede actually stumbles out into view.

and ed’s face breaks out into the most relieved, beautiful smile, and there’s this very dreamy sequence of them breathing each other’s names and running to each other. they of course hug each other tightly, maybe even kiss, before ed murmurs something like, “was worried for a second. thought i’d lost you.”

only for stede to go “oh, no. you’ll never ever lose me.”

...and then ed wakes up in the gutted darkness of the captain’s quarters. alone.

Obsessed with the way Evadne's relationship with Apollo is described. Obsessed with the way Apollo was especially gentle with her because she was sheltered, hidden away and hadn't had any sort of experience with love prior to Apollo (and due to it being described as her 'first learning Aphrodite's joy' through Apollo', it was probably her first time even being attracted to someone). Obsessed with the way when she runs away, she stops in a violet patch to give birth. Y'know, violets, very famously the flower so strongly associated with Aphrodite that they were used in love potions? Those violets. Obsessed with the way that when Apollo realised his lover was going to have to deliver their child alone, he sent BOTH the goddess of childbirth and ALL THREE OF THE FATES to help and support her. Obsessed with the way that Apollo sends snakes to feed his baby honey straight from their fangs because Evadne abandons their son out of straight primal fear when her stepfather finds her and how the description of that honey is 'sweet venom' [ἰός] of the bees and is DEFINITELY a poetic pair/pun with [ἴον] aka violets and that every single thing about this relationship, conception and birth is a complete and utter fairytale down to Evadne's insanely overprotective stepfather having an immediate change of heart when he learned Evadne's child was an actual, legitimate Son of Apollo and the babe, after being cared for by his dad's honey-fanged snake buddies, was found perfectly healthy five days later swaddled in a blanket of violets (y'know the flowers so strongly associated with Aphrodite that they were used for lo-) and they called him Iamus aka Boy of the Violets which is AAAAAARRRR I AM GNAWING AT MY ENCLOSURE

Iamus was made of love. Everything about him was surrounded by deep and profound love and like, let's not even talk about his whole Thing of when he came of age and was like "I need to find out what my purpose is" and he literally had a Disney Protagonist moment where he ran out into the wilds and was like "Father!! Grandfather!! My favorite thing on the internet is when South Park fans make in depth, character driven posts about any character (especially the main four) and just type out the most interesting well written things about said character.

Speaking of which, can people talk about The New kid, since the multiverse is canon and the games could be seen as another universe where everything is just the same except some new kid with time bending powers and who is basically a friend magnet moved to South Park and immediately becomes the most op person in context to the games the kids play. Like, I think no one talks about The New Kid and how they can be stand in for the players oc or just be the base for the players oc, (if your oc is basically the new kid with extra steps, like mine) gets misgendered by almost everyone in town in the first game depending on their gender and pronouns in the second game(FBW), and is essentially kinda hated by their friends because they followed their instructions and was just wanted to make some friends and have fun. Also went through some weird traumatizing stuff that probably messed with their brain. Also their backstory is so.. interesting and not great for a child, not knowing why they moved around so much then finding out their parents were trying to hide them from the government and making sure they at least got a normal life?!

They are such an interesting character to me and I really like thinking about how so many things might have happened or episodes could have happened or changed just because The New Kid is there and probably would be that type of person to insert themselves into conflicts because they could, and their friends probably would drag them into said conflict without warning.

Also I based my oc off of The New Kid and want to talk about him, and they are my favorite characters. Top tier of my personal ocs who I use a lot in different stories.

Gotcha day lick mat 🥰 We've had my little gremlin girl for TWO YEARS!!!! I am constantly amazed at how far she's come. Here's the obligatory long, rambling progress post. 😂

In the past year, Emma has stopped taking her anxiety medication, started having visitors to the house again, become ever more enthusiastic about training time, gotten increasingly opinionated, and also gotten SO much cuddlier. 💜

The only time she's fear panted had been with vet visits - and only occasional shaking periods. I think those have only happened during fireworks or big storms, maybe a time or two with people over. She's been so brave with visitors & gone up to sniff new people, even taken treats from them too! Honestly, having friends over again has gone even better than I expected - I really think the nice long time to settle in with us before helped with that.

It's a huge joy to watch how interested & excited Emma gets with enrichment & training - even brand new things are less scary, bc she's learned to expect good things from us, even if it's new. She's more confident with other family members besides me now too - Jack gets snuggles nearly as much, she tried new enrichment with just him there last earlier this week, and she'll stomp on Arte when excited for dinner. 😂 While Joel is still bottom of the list for her, she's much more comfortable with him & has even cuddled him a time or two!

One other interesting development has been her resilience to not being babied so much. I can scold her, I can hold her back from lunging at a cat, I can tell her no cuddles & shoo her back if I need to, and her feelings don't really get hurt the same way Spring's do. She'll pout some, but no shaking, no major upset, etc. She's really become a bit more independent from me over the past year! Only a bit 😂 but hey, progress!

And finally before I shut up, her reactivity has really improved as well! She's much more tolerant of the cats cuddling me, even Shilo. She handled the new kitten addition pretty well, and her food guarding has improved some too. She often still needs the extra reassurance of my presence to relax & enjoy a high value chew or enrichment, but then she's fine.

I'll shut up now, but I'm SO fucking proud of my baby dog. She's so brave, so funny, and so loving. I can't wait to see where the next year takes us. 💙💜

Way to Dawn and X-blade Particle effects comparison

I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this yet, but I was recently watching a BBS play through when I noticed- Hey. The particle effects for the X-blade looked REALLY similar to Riku’s Way to Dawn. Like. Pretty much EXACTLY THE SAME, besides the color as they are fading.

I’ll post some images here for comparison

I can’t be the only one who finds that really really weird, no?

The end part of the animations does have some differences, but really only in color. Even the shape they form as they fade away is exact.

Anyways, yeah. That’s that. It’s pretty odd in my opinion. I also don’t think any other keyblades share these effects, either, but if anyone else finds anything then please post it lol

I had originally posted this in a discord server I’m in, and a few of the people there (including myself) theorized that it could be related to how the X-blade isn’t truly the final form of it’s“X-blade series”. That it’s like the “Way to Dawn” of its respective line, not having arrived at its final evolution yet, still on the path to get there. That’s just one interpretation, but I do quite like it.

What do you guys think?
