I think my blog title is really funny because like. I'm categorically not a Stella apologist. She's canonically an abusive monster, and I fully recognize that. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that she's anything other than a horrible person, or theorize about how maybe she's a good mother when I know that would make no sense from a doylist perspective.

what I DO think, however, is that Stella deserved better. She, as one of the only notable female characters in the show and the only female antagonist, deserves to be a complex and well thought out character, rather than swinging between a laughing stock and tool for punishment in service of her male counterpart. She, and female characters in general, deserve to have their emotions taken seriously by the narrative and not be reduced to cartoonishly dumb, eternally evil tropes. I mean, "I like tormenting you"? Seriously?

So I'm not a Stella apologist in the traditional sense– I'm not apologizing for her, I'm apologizing to her. And hopefully with my rewrite, I'll be able to give her some justice.

Something I cannot wait to see is blitz actually meeting Stella. Him seeing how Stolas had been living for so long, giving further context to why he desperately clung to him. But more than that blitz immediately being like "you did this to him? [Sent striker] [everything else] fucking DIE BITCH!" And Stolas is forced to intervene because "THAT'S VIA'S MOTHER we can't KILL HER!!" It'll be such a fun dynamic to bear witness to.

Ngl, I think my only real wish for the series is that at some point Aaravos and Stella have some sort of bonding moment.

The only two Startouch creatures that we really see on screen, one of which is a jailed war criminal and the other a tiny thieving gremlin.

What would be more adorable to see than our beloved touch starved elf snuggling with a cheeky little cuddle monkey? And I mean, just imagine all the mischief they could get into with each other.

Hello! Would you be able to share a little about Duchess?? 💜

Thank you for sending an ask! (Ask is referencing WIP Tag Game post.)

So Duchess is the fic that became a fic after me musing on it in this post. Essentially, soft dark!mob!Steve Rogers blackmailing a rich heiress' family into an arranged marriage. She loathes him, and makes no secret of it, but as they spend more time together, she starts to like him more, and wonder about why a man like him would do something like this.

'Duchess' is Steve's nickname for the Reader; she is old-money rich, while he is from very meager background. At first, she thinks it's to make fun of her, but it starts to feel different after a while, everything starts to feel different... And turns out that some things she thought were very much crystal clear are not so simple at all...

Enemies to lovers (sort of), forced proximity, eventual romance and smut.

"I want you to feel at home here." "Bold words from a man who kidnapped me." "I didn't kidnap you." "But hey, at least I get to choose the wallpaper of my prison cell. How generous of you, my darling husband."

It's very much in progress but it's going to be written!
