Okay, hear me out!
In the Season Two trailer, when we get this shot:
Tumblr media
I guess some folks are theorizing that Blitz is protecting Stolas from Andrealphus, because he is icy, and the ground is icy, too.
But I have another theory!
I personally can’t see Stolas cowering helplessly to Andrealphus. He’s a lesser goetia, having only the rank of marquis, if I’m remembering correctly. Therefore, wouldn’t Stolas be more powerful than him, and why would he be cowering under that circumstance?
But you know who probably IS more powerful than Stolas, and who else casts a spiky shadow?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This guy!
My personal theory is that Blitz is defending Stolas from his very own father! Because, well, Paimon MUST have power greater than Stolas, and if anyone could strip Stolas of his rank (notice he’s not wearing a crown in the first shot!), certainly it would be Paimon. And I could see Stolas cowering to Paimon, and doing nothing to defend himself from him!
That would also make Blitz one crazy, or brave, motherf*cker, to protect Stolas in that moment. (My Stolitz loving heart says that such a heroic act would only be done by someone who ~loves him~, because I can’t see any other motivation for Blitz to take on Paimon, lol. But that is subject for another post!)
So, IS it Paimon that they’re fighting in the trailer? Am I right? Am I wrong? I dunno, but I can’t wait for the episodes to come out to see if my theory is correct or not!

I think this is gonna be a meeting of the higher rankings of hell like the Goetias and Seven deadly sins due to us only seeing the royal/rulers of hell.
And also this can't be overlords cause we've already seen overlord meeting in Hazbin so this is most likely gonna be a meeting between the higher ups.
But what is the meeting about? I think it's possibly with the situation of Stolas and Blitz which could be why Satan is saying the "You're a disgrace" or whatever cause he finds out that Stolas is in love with an imp or he's saying this to Asmodeus.
Who knows? BUT IM SO PUMPED UP FOR THE NEW EPISODES!

so I noticed something in this shot from the trailer
Tumblr media
We’ve never scene Stolas in this outfit his normal clothes are red but I’m almost positive that’s not what he’s wearing in this shot because if you look at either version of this outfit it’s pretty clear it’s not that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because even without the cape the shirt he is wearing has red sleeves and no white or gold accents. I do think an argument could be made that he is wearing his apology tour fit since that does include a red long sleeve top without accents but here’s why I don’t think he is:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the first picture Stolas is wearing black pants and the shirt is low cut to show of his slutty chest feathers. The second shot his pants look much closer to what he wore prior to his booty shorts/romper phase, also the shirt has a turtle neck. When I first noticed this I was like oh cool new Stolas fit love that.but then I realized:
Stolas is not wearing a cape here this is important because capes are typically a sign of royalty and his lack of a cape could signify that he has been cast out be the Goetia family. This theory is further backed up by the fact that blitzø is protecting him from a threat and as far as I can see he is not being bound by belssed ropes so there is no reason for him not to be using his powers unless he DOSENT HAVE THEM ANYMORE because he was cast out of the family. Anyways I’ve seen a lot of people talk about how he will probably be cast out of the goetia family and lose his powers, but I haven’t seen anyone mention this so I thought I’d put it out there as some added evidence to this theory.

For a while now, it seems that the most popular, or at least most VOCAL, theory about the ‘Goetia Trial’ that we’ve gotten hints towards is that this is Stolas’s and Stella’s divorce hearings and/or a custody battle over Octavia. With Stella’s and Andrealphus’s ‘evil plan’ being to somehow turn Octavia against Stolas.
The thing is, as I brought up in my theory post on how Season 2 (and Stolitz) is going to end, I think it’s far more likely that the trial is actually all about Andrealphus and Stella dragging Stolas up on all the ‘less than legal’ shit he’s been doing in an attempt to get him stripped of his position and power as a Prince.
For one, the whole ‘custody battle’ theory feels particularly head-scratching when we consider that neither Stella nor Andrealphus have been shown to really care all that much about Octavia, certainly where their scheming is concerned. Stella cares nothing for the inheritance and just wants Stolas dead while Andrealphus seems to not give a crap about Stolas and is looking to do a straight power-grab. Now while some people might envision their plan as looking to manipulate Octavia as some kind of ‘puppet heir’, I think that is missing some very KEY details:
For one, it’s clear in Western Energy that Andrealphus specifically wants to AVOID Octavia inheriting everything from Stolas, otherwise he wouldn’t have convinced Stella to call off the hit on Stolas.
And even more substantially, the whole idea of a ‘custody battle’ kind of MISSES a very key detail of how much the show has stressed that Octavia is NOT A CHILD ANYMORE.
That was the point of Loo Loo Land, the point of Seeing Stars and Stolas himself even says as much in his argument with Stella in The Circus. In fact, going off the timeline that the show has implied with a number of episodes set on Earth, Octavia actually HAS to be at least eighteen at this point. As in, given that Octavia’s age being seventeen was revealed in pre-series promotional material, we kind of have to assume she’s seventeen in Loo Loo Land. Then we have Spring Broken (March), The Harvest Moon Festival (September), Unhappy Campers (July) (this is actually shown on a flyer for Millie’s show) and now Apology Tour being set on Halloween (October), meaning that we are over a year and a half AT LEAST since Loo Loo Land.
Heck, if the present-day portions of The Circus (and by extension, Ozzie’s and Queen Bee) take place prior to Halloween that year, then it’s possible that Octavia could have just turned NINETEEN as of Apology Tour.
The point being that it makes little sense for there to be some big ‘custody battle’ over Octavia, especially if Andrealphus is out for a power-grab on Stolas’s assets. Sure maybe they could manipulate Octavia, but at the same time Stella and Andrealphus would have no actual power over Octavia, meaning that she could shut them out anytime she wanted, AND would have all the power and resources to ensure there would be nothing they could do about it.
Instead, as I brought up in my previous theory post, I think it’s FAR more likely that Andrealphus’s and Stella’s plan is actually to drag Stolas up on all the questionably legal stuff he’s been doing in an attempt to get him stripped of his power and status as a Prince. Most notably bringing up the whole ‘loaning his grimoire to an IMP’ thing, which is something I have to imagine the other Goetia would take some BIG fucking issue with.
For one, I think this makes WAY more sense as a power-grab for Andrealphus. Because Stolas being found incompetent and unworthy of his position and being stripped of his power and status could likely ALSO invalidate Octavia as a viable heir to his position. Meaning that everything Stolas has would go to Stella instead, who in turn would almost certainly pass off all that power and responsibility to Andrealphus.
More than any of that though, I think this option makes WAY more sense THEMATICALLY. Because it effectively puts Stolas’s turbulent and dysfunctional relationship with Blitzo in center stage as the source of the conflict. Which in turn has Stolas having to recognize all the problems HE brought to their relationship that everyone has been complaining about ‘not being addressed’.
As the finale of the season, I think it makes perfect sense that the Trial would force Stolas to confront, and own up to the many mistakes he’s made, to his peers, to Octavia, and to Blitzo. Which in turn would be the perfect resolution to where he started this season in The Circus.
Finally, as I brought up in the theory post, I think it’s very possible we could see Stolas abdicate his position and allow Octavia to inherit everything. For one, it’s been brought up twice this season that Octavia is by now fully capable of inheriting Stolas’s position. We’ve also seen Octavia be just as interested in and passionate about celestial studies as Stolas.
Tumblr media
And then we have this rather interesting shot from the trailer of Octavia catching a falling mote of purple light, which could definitely represent, or at least hint at, Stolas leaving his power to her.
All in all, I think this whole fixation on the Goetia trial being a divorce hearing/custody battle feels a bit too much like headcanon-fixation and dramawanking rather than something more based on what the story has been actually showing and telling.

Holy. Fucking. Shit.
SEASON 2 TRAILER BITCHES
I'm absolutely loosing my mind! I actually woke up to my phone blowing up about it. And I've spent the last few hours rewatching it and trying to break it down. So I'm going to share my thoughts!
Ive organized all the clips into the separate episodes I believe they are from, so lets start with The Full Moon. Here's my theory about how I think these clips line up and what the episode will be about!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So to start, I'm confident these clips with Vassago and Andrealphus take place in this episode. Probably the first part asking where Stolas is being near the very beginning of the episode. The shot of Andrealphus I'm not sure of though. (I'd like to mention how much I love how his tail comes up and makes it clear he is in fact a peacock)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next we have these clips of Blizø and Stolas. Stolas is evidently frustrated. While this could very likely be in the later half, I have a feeling this is early in the episode, probably when Blitzø shows up for their full moon meeting. I'm guessing this is where Stolas dumps on Blitzø that he wants to actually be loved. The shot of the flower would also make sense to be in this scene as they are in the garden.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I believe this form we see attack Stolas and Blitzø is Vassago. This is tricky as far as where it goes, but I'm going to place it here as Blitzø is in his signature outfit here like he was in the last scene. Stolas has changed though
Tumblr media
Here's where we start to see Blitzø in his outfit specific outfit. I think this is later that day or the next day, him planning to go back to see Stolas and properly express that he indeed loves him. Here I think he is telling Moxxie that he is not going to be working that day and literally dumping the work load on Mox.
Tumblr media
I looove these clips! My guess to whats happening here is that Blitzø goes to Fizz looking for help, one of them has the idea to bring a gift to Stolas, Fizz takes Blitzø into this part of the palace with a bunch of Ozzies creations. He pulls out the absurdity large toy as an idea. Eventually they end up deciding on the "Dankee" candle, which Blitzø brings to Stolas. I also love that it looks like he scaled the wall up to the balcony while dragging this comically large candle in a sack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's the part we've all been dreading waiting for... The crystal. I think here is where Stolas gives it to him, and express' how much he hates the transactional deal they have going on. Blitzø completely takes it the wrong way, thinking Stolas is giving it to him as a way to tell him to fuck off.
Here Blitzø also says the "You fucks think you can do this every time" which is alluding to again that Blitzø has experience and possibility was involved with another royal at some point. I know this isnt a new theory, but I think Vassago is a very likely candidate as its very convenient to have this line and Vassago introduced in (presumably) the same episode. This could also just be referring to higher class demons in general, such as Verosika
Tumblr media
These next few clips I believe all take place in The Full Moon as well, but I'm not confident on their placement. The shot of Octavia maybe not, but her line what was over it, saying how Stolas doesn't love her or Stella, only Blitzø, is most likely near in this episode though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For these 3, I think they are during the Stolitz duet, either in the very beginning or ending of the episode (I seem to remember it being said the episode will open with it, but I might be imagining that)
In the part where the images of Blitzø shatter, it's the one closest to Stolas first and then makes its way out, it's also the one closest to him where Blitzø looks the happiest and as they get further he looks more upset/distressed.
The sequence of Blitzø and Stolas' silhouettes could also be almost anywhere but makes sense during the duet. I love the detail of Blitzø's tattoo showing as a heart as a child and as an adult its a broken heart (it's hard to see in these screen shots cause Tumblr decided to nuke the quality)
In the part where Stolas is singing with the celestial imagery he is again wearing a red turtle neck under his cape which bares a resemblance to the one hes wearing when Blitzø is protecting him. I'm not sure if this means anything, but fells worth pointing out.
Again I am sorry for the shit photo quality, and possible bad grammar and spelling. I currently have the posts for the rest of the episodes nearly done so expect those in the next few hours ♡ Id love to hear any other ideas or theories about the upcoming episodes, or anything I missed/got wrong!

Theory on the End of Season 2... and also Stolitz
Tumblr media
So here are my current theories on the ‘Goetia Trial’ we see hinted at in the trailer and the fallout it might have in the episode Mastermind and probably Sinsmas since I wouldn't be surprised if we have a two-parter situation.
To start, I think it’s safe to assume that the trial as a whole is setup by Stella and Andrealphus as a ploy to strip Stolas of his power, titles and status as a Goetia. Of course, Stella just wants to hurt Stolas while for Andrealphus it’s an actual power-play for all that Stolas has.
Specifically, the trial takes the form of Andrealphus and Stella dragging Stolas up on all the dirty and questionable things Stolas has been involved with over the course of the show. Things like the destruction of Loo Loo Land (given Mammon’s apparent presence at the trial), inadvertently letting a bunch of humans find out about Hell, and MOST importantly of all: Loaning his Grimoire to an IMP.
Like this is something I really haven’t seen discussed but frankly feels like a BIG FUCKING DEAL when you actually thing about it. We’ve heard Stolas comment a few times that his loaning of the Grimoire to Blitzo isn’t exactly legal, and I think it’s easy to imagine the other Goetia taking MAJOR issue with it if they ever found out.
Stolas having a seedy affair with an imp and divorcing his wife might be scandalous but that’s about it, particularly given that he already has an heir in Octavia. But letting that imp TAKE and even USE his Goetic Grimoire? The very SYMBOL and very likely SOURCE of his power as a Goetia? Yeah, I think that’s something Stolas’ peers are going to take some big fucking issue with. Which of course is precisely what Andrealphus and Stella are counting on.
Now of course there will be a proverbial spanner in the works of this plan in the form of Blitzo and the rest of I.M.P. who will doubtlessly be doing something to try and help Stolas.
Tumblr media
However, I think the BIGGER spanner will wind up being VASSAGO. Specifically, him stepping in to help Stolas as his advocate, as we see him in the trailer seeming to speak out for Stolas against Andrealphus.
As an aside, I wouldn’t be surprised if the trailer clips of I.M.P. suddenly being hunted down and Blitzo saying they need to go on the run are actually Blitzo and co. being hauled in by the authorities as material witnesses or even accessories for Stolas’ trial.
Now as to how the trial plays out, I do actually think things wind up being ruled in our heroes’ favor. Or at the very least, NOT in Andrealphus’s and Stella’s. Mostly through a good deal of legal loopholes, technicalities and a bit of truth-fudging, likely with the help of Vassago.
For example, this could be where Blitzo NOT using the Grimoire anymore and instead having an entirely legal means of accessing the human world, plus being under Asmodeus’s jurisdiction, could come into play. Perhaps with Stolas and even Asmodeus himself fudging the numbers a bit as to just how long Blitzo has been using the crystal.
Another possibility could be it being brought up/revealed that Blitzo has never actually used the Grimoire HIMSELF. This of course would lead to major developments and reveals concerning LOONA and her oddly prodigious talent with magic. Perhaps she turns out to be the lost/illegitimate/bastard daughter of a Goetia…?
One other possibility that feels both plausible and could have major ramifications going forward is Stolas getting around the scheming of his ex-wife and brother-in-law by abdicating his position of ‘Prince’ and thereby passing his titles, powers and all else that he has to Octavia, and also paying off the chekhov’s gun of Octavia being old enough to inherit her father’s position.
Like imagine if this takes the form of Stolas admitting his faults and failings in a big speech, both as a father to Octavia… and in his relationship with Blitzo. Essentially being the big conclusion to Stolas’ arc this season of owning up to his mistakes. Though potentially also (seemingly) putting an end to his relationship with Blitzo, through essentially stating that there was no way the two of them were ever going to work together. Something that Blitzo, after all the personal reflection he’s been forced to do over the last few episodes, finds it hard to argue with.
This in turn satisfies the Goetia court. Possibly to the point of not even punishing Stolas, out of respect for the dignity and grace in which he admitted and owned up to his mistakes and failings. Meanwhile, the court would very much LIKE to punish Blitzo and co. for the their unlawful use of ancient demon magic, but I.M.P. now being under Asmodeus’s jurisdiction means that’s out of their hands. Bonus points if there is some ‘Ozzie must met out some punishment on I.M.P.’ point, which he does… in the form of a whole lot of high-paying contract work on Earth.
Which of course infuriates Stella and Andrealphus. Stella because Stolas isn’t stripped of his status as a Goetia/isn’t punished/isn’t dead, and Andrealphus because he didn’t actually get the power and status he was gunning for. They probably also pitch a fit about it and get mocked by the court for treating the trial as a power-play for their own benefit (perhaps this is where Satan’s “You’re a disgrace” line from the trailer comes in if he’s the one presiding over the trial?)
Tumblr media
This in turn leads us to the final wrinkle of the episode: Stolas and Blitzo having a final conversation at the former’s house… only to be interrupted by an ambush from an infuriated Andrealphus and possibly Stella as well, hence the clip we see of the former. And with Stolas having already passed most if not all of his power to Octavia, he’s pretty much helpless.
Tumblr media
Which leads us to this shot of Blitzo futilely trying to protect Stolas as the shadow of a giant claw prepares to crush them both.
And as I outlined here, I think this is where someone else jumps in to save the pair. Possibly Octavia, possibly Loona, Moxxie and Millie, possibly Vassago, or some combination of all of them.
This is where I think the final proverbial nail in the coffin for Stolitz comes in. Because for Blitzo, this whole trial has been framed as his chance to make things right with Stolas. A chance to show Stolas that he really does care about him and them being together through being able to HELP Stolas in a time where he needs it the most.
But throughout the trial, Blitzo simply hasn’t been able to help Stolas. It’s not Blitzo who’s been able to support, advise and help Stolas, but instead people like Octavia, Asmodeus or perhaps most notably, VASSAGO. As in, Vassago is introduced to the story as essentially representing Blitzo would want to be for Stolas, but CAN’T. And of course, all the things Stolas would want in a partner.
And all this comes to a head during Andrealphus’s attack; with Blitzo desperately trying to help and protect Stolas… but simply can’t.
Only for Vassago to swoop in with big, heroic, rescue-romance fashion to save Stolas, and just to add insult to injury, Blitzo himself.
So when it becomes clear that Stolas and Vassago are about to, or at least very soon to, hook up, Blitzo can only recognize that there is nothing he can, or should do to stop this. That Stolas has found someone who can make him happy, unlike himself. And that this is something Blitzo can accept and even be happy for Stolas for it. Bonus points if Vassago is actually friendly and respectful to Blitzo, if only because he means a lot to Stolas and Vassago respects that.
Thus, Blitzo and Stolas have what is by all rights, a final conversation where they are able to put their relationship to rest and part on good terms. A mutual acknowledgement that what they had together was never going to work and that this is for the best.
Perhaps there is a hopeful note that they may still be seeing each other around as friends, particularly if Loona and Octavia are clearly hitting it off at this point. Maybe when Stolas comments on how their daughters seem to be getting along, Blitzo replies with something like ‘Yeah, maybe they can do better than we did…’, only to do a comedic ‘Not like THAT!’ verbal-backspace when Stolas gives him a raised eyebrow.
And with that, Season 2 ends with Blitzo’s and Stolas’ relationship definitively over.
…For now. XD
