•Kraken•

Age: Human equivalent to late 40s to early 50s

Pronouns: He/They

Sexuality: Gay

Given his name he’s supposed to have the ability to transform into a kraken like alt mode (but I have no idea how to draw that yet, so just remember this detail)

Their capsule landed somewhere in ocean near the city and they’ve been mostly living/hiding in the waters ever since

Sometimes during the night, they sneak onto the surface to gather fuel

He ended up befriending a human girl named Marina Cho one afternoon after scaring away her bullies at the city docks

She introduced them to her father and the three of them have been a happy little family in secret from the public

He has a older sister, but he has no idea where she is (Cuz I’m still trying to figure out a design for her)

•Marina Cho•

Age: 16

Pronouns: She/Her

Sexuality: Aroace

Ethnicity: Half Korean, half American

She wears a shell charm necklace that her father gave her for good luck

Her parents are divorced and she is living with her father

She’s not really good at socializing and she finds it difficult to make friends with others

Because of this, she gets picked on constantly by a group of boys in her class

One day when they bothering her at the docks, a giant kraken like robot emerged from the ocean, scaring the boys away and checking to see if she was alright

Extra detail notes for them so far:

Kraken is supposed to be based off a Caribbean Reef Octopus. So, he has the ability to change the pinks of his color scheme to an aqua green color, before camouflaging into his surroundings. Which is how he wasn’t founded out until recently

Marina and Kraken’s dynamic were inspired by role reversal dynamic of Ariel and Ursula from The Little Mermaid

Kraken has the octopus form like Ursula, but instead being antagonistic and wanting to harm Marina, he’s instead like Triton and is a basically a caring father towards her

Kraken’s sister has the mermaid form like Triton, but she places herself on a pedestal above Kraken (and she will react harshly to finding out he’s in love with a human and caring for another one as his daughter)

Marina’s necklace is a reference to Ursula’s necklace

For the established time line, Jun and the others learn about Kraken during the events of Season 2, aka the Metal Cardbot Awareness

When they first learn about him, he and Marina’s father have been together for a year

Jun and the others first learned about Kraken on the internet from interviews Vera and her team were doing. No one believed Marina’s bullies at first because of how absurd the story was, but with the Metal Cardbot Awareness, the story becomes relevant again

Marina knows about the Metal Breath because of Kraken, but she’s afraid of losing them, due to who ever wears the Metal Breath basically owns that Cardbot until that user is no longer around

You guys do realize that married couples can experience unplanned pregnancies, right?

Or, that maybe Millie is worried about how having a baby could affect her job?

Shit, maybe she’s worried that she won’t be a good parent if she does decide to keep it because of her own family issues

I could even go as far to say that maybe she’s worried if she does decide to keep the baby, something could go wrong and the baby ends dying during the pregnancy

And I’m just saying all of this without knowing what Moxxie’s point of view is going to be like
