this is from a fame au that's not even really a wip yet. it's basically a bunch of snippets that will hopefully end up turning into a fic.

“This is all your fault.” Regulus hisses. “How is this my fault?” “You laughed.” “I laughed?” James asks with a laugh. “Yes! Your stupid, loud, distracting laugh made everyone look at us… No, not at us, they looked at you. Then they looked at me and thought we were an us. And they took pictures of us, but we aren’t an us. And now we’re on Twitter as an us and everyone thinks we’re an us, but we are not an us and this is all. your. fault.” Regulus rants getting more and more frustrated.    “You think my laugh is distracting?” James asks. “I… what?” Regulus huffs. “You said I have a stupid, loud, distracting laugh. Do I distract you, Reggie?” James smiles.   “You… that is not a good thing.”   “Are you sure?” James smirks. “Yes.” Regulus hisses and James’ smirks grows. “Stop it.” Regulus snaps. “Stop what… Distracting you?” Regulus seethes. “Right, sorry. You were talking about how we’re not an us. Which is rather confusing because if we’re a we how are we not an us?”

just rewatched interstellar in imax and now i can’t stop thinking of jegulus in space; james and harry finding the hidden nasa base. james regulus and sirius on the endeavor, going to the planets that sent back positive data, but then things go wrong, leaving them with having to choose between two different planets as their last visit. remus having been one of the twelve people to be sent on the lazarus missions but his data being cut off a couple years beforehand for unexplained reasons. sirius wanting to go to remus’ because he’s been in love with him all these years and the data is good, but regulus refusing for the sake of the mission and because he claims sirius’ opinion is biased. james sacrificing himself into the black hole to save regulus and sirius’ life, waking up on the space station harry had a part in creating, eventually finding his way back to the brothers on remus’ planet as soon as he’s able to and forming the colony and living happily ever after
