we legit just had someone DM us asking why we "chose to be a system"... I don't even know how to respond to this, it doesn't seem like they are trying to be malicious, mean, or rude?? They sent it as an anon and used an anon tag we haven't seen before, and it was just that question. has anyone had this happen before, and how do you handle it?

i don't believe we've received an ask like that before but we'd recommend just deleting it or blocking the anon. It may not seem mean but it's very endogenic kind of question, suggesting you chose to be a system. It could potentially invite endos over to your blog if they see that one of your asks / anons is asking those kinds of things. Though if you feel like you're comfortable and able to handle any potential endos then you could try educate them / answer the question by saying that you cannot chose to be a system , it really depends

The 'two wolves' meme phrase joke whatever you call it was invented by a white american missionary, originally about the Inuit but changed to generic indigenous north american when he got into legal trouble with them. the point of the phrase was to make indigenous people look like ignorant savages in need of civilizing white christianity. among other things, Im sure, i'm no expert of the many racist things we've done to indigenous americans. anyways.

It is racist. It is a corruption and appropriation of genericized indigenous american religion. please do not use that phrase here. Or anywhere else, imo, it's not funny when you have to explain you're pretending to be an american indian and that you have some religious experience about fictotypes or something when you don't even practice that non existent religion.

been thinking very hard about demons and the possession trope and how it connects to plurality.

as a sys with a lot of nonhuman parts i LOVE reading things about demons "possessing" humans and living in said humans brain because thats exactly how walk ins felt for us.

not the ones that make it seem scary and awful, but the ones that show the demon becoming close and helping the human.
