Getting mad at trans men for calling what they experience 'misogyny' because it's "appropriating women's struggles" or something INSTEAD of getting mad that there isn't proper language available for most trans men to express their experiences is transphobic

So for one they are smaller, skinnier, lighter. Because they're built for speed as opposed to strength, and more miscle means they'd have more weight to pull which would make them slower or tire out faster. Objectively speaking.

As for the reason I think Ahkal tekes should be common kelpie horses. Put simply, I think that a kelpie, at its core, is meant to be fast. I think that's one of it's key (nonmagical) features. Why? Well because you gotta drown and pound kill your victim before they have a chance to escape (humans are... smarter than they look). And while carrying extra weight wouldn't be a problem for a kelpie (will explain in next paragraph), the muscle mass is still there and it can get in the way, especially making short/abrupt turns.

And the reason I'm disregarding strength as a factor in this is because ancient lore states that kelpies have, quote "the strength of at least 10 horses and the stamina of many more" (from historic-uk.com)

There are many other horse breeds that fit this bill, so as the final deciding factor I am simply looking at appearances. The Ahkal teke appeared to be the skinniest, and lightest, you can see bone definition, but not in an unhealthy way. Sort of similar to how a whippet dog or an ibizan hound is a very skinny dog. And I think this is an important visual feature because in my opinion kelpies should look incredibly starved and malnourished as a default, even if they are kept well fed.
