i’m not saying this is healthy or good, but i do think there’s something comforting to mac about having someone like dennis in his life who “hates him” and still talks to him, lives with him, shares a bed with him, etc. it’s so unlike his parents who mostly just ignore him no matter what he does

mac is the guy that picks out all the m&ms from a bag of trail mix—meanwhile, dennis is sits next to him scowling and shoving raisins and nuts into his mouth to prove a point.

love the fact that Mac has always weighed more than Dennis, and specifically in s13 when he's in really good shape and Dennis is still (seemingly) anemic, we see in "The Gang Escapes" that Mac is still scared of getting scratched by him and does get scratched, but he never hurts him back.

Even though we later see him picking up and carrying Dennis like he weighs NOTHING, he never uses this against him or protects himself.
