Not sure if anyone remembers Nimbus, but I changed him a bit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ you know the drill. Been thinkin on him.

He’s a ‘sooty’ variation of a Kymagryph; a bit of a smaller breed from a far more southern region. The former owner of the Asheweaver estate had bought him from poachers as a kit.

Nimbus is the first and only known Kymagryph raised in captivity. There was an attempt to make him accustomed to being ridden or even a glorified messenger pigeon. This was kind of backburnered for a time and since then the former Dr. Asheweaver had met his fate. Sylvaine along with her team have elected to taking care of Nimbus.

Since he’d spent too long poorly raised in captivity Sylvaine found that he couldn’t properly integrate himself into any of the Kymagryph flocks further up north of the island. They were far bigger and the males were particularly aggressive towards Nimbus, hence the nasty scars on his head. He didn’t seem interested in leaving Tattered Wing either though, making his own nest in the fjords, staying close to the estate. He still takes long flights however, retuning after a few months and sometimes bringing ‘gifts’.

He holds some form of deep respect for Sylvaine, which makes her wonder if he has imprinted on her in some way. He minds her above anyone else. Some of the people of Marrowtide like to say that Nimbus is ‘the eyes of the harpy woman that lives on Tattered Wing’, believing that Sylvaine possesses Nimbus’s body on his flights. She finds this amusing if anything.

Drew Sylvaine for size reference. I guess he’d be measure in heads like a horse.

One year for your bday she got tickets to see your favorite band together and you swore right then to marry her.

It’s so cute for any of your mutuals friends to see you together because Aubrey always wears her basketball shorts while you wear your long black dresses or tight corsets. The contrast is too sweet.

You make the big, strong Paige Bueckers nervous because you’re just that pretty to her she wasn’t used to that before you but that’s her normal now and she couldn’t be more content.

She’s actually your designated picture taker. Anytime you need new instagram pictures you know who to ask. 

Even though you’re an overall quiet person she can tell when you’re ready to have a conversation.

She memorized all your favorite song lyrics from your favorite rock and punk artists so that she can reference them to you.

If you see something cute in pink at the store it’s instantly Azzi’s gift.

“Thank you princess this is so cute” she would say

“You paint her nails black and pink sometimes for a little something different. Especially when you know she’s gonna in front of cameras.

Everyone has to know she’s yours.

You guys definitely did a little launch with like holding hands or with your hair together.

essentially, flashheart had a secret affair with a kittypet, who then had freddy (rusty basically), who he only got to meet once before being forced to be apart from them. freddy grew up not being fully aware he’s got clan blood. one day, his neighbor, cripp (smudge basically), tells him their other friend, the fat lazy barn cat batty, went out in the woods on her own several times. freddy, his curiosity piqued, ventures out in the woods that night to explore. he runs into batty, and then runs int flashheart out on patrol. flashheart miraculously recognizes him, and insists he come to the camp with him. freddy ultimately decides to do so, with batty eavesdropping in a tree lol

flashheart escorts freddy to camp, meanwhile cripp assumes he was kidnapped and/or worse, killed, by them. in a panic he runs away from the area. so, when freddy makes it to camp, it’s immediately met with distaste. a few discrimination gets thrown at him, all while flashheart does his best to convince everyone to let him stay with them. compromising a challenge freddy must pass in order to prove himself capable. lightningpaw (ivan obv lol) takes on the challenge, beats him up a little, but ultimately gets outsmarted by freddy, who wins. the clan reluctantly respects their leader, flashheart’s, decision to let him stay.

so yeah, freddy ends up making friends with the other apprentices. he still deals with hurtful comments and treatment, but he eventually gains respect overtime. also batty joins the clan eventually too, but she insists on keeping her name

unfortunately, across the forest, thunderclan has been having issues with shadowclan, who become more and more corrupt by the day. especially in the midst of leaf-fall when many are starting to starve and prey is driven away. a particular purple-ish red shadowclan apprentice wishes to catch something big for her family at first, but then falls into a rabbit hole of a trying to understand the suspiciously malicious connection between her higher up clanmates and something to do with thunderclan.

spoiler alert. shadowclan rulers suck, and thunderclan’s deputy is secretly working against his own clan (ric). they want to take over both clans and territories, and maybe dominate the other 2 in the process. freddy gradually learns of this when their deputy is revealed. scarlett(paw?)’s parents are also manipulated into contributing to that, and they do not like her sneaking off and jeopardizing the plan
