he’s also the type to leave you notes everywhere. you’ll open your locker, and boom: "i hope your day is as perfect as your smile. also, pls drink water. - yoichi 🩵"

or you’ll find random sticky notes around the house with stuff like: "you're cuter than my dog. and that’s saying a lot." ( i hc he's a dog person, fight me 🫠 )

bachira is a walking ball of chaos, and it only gets worse when he’s in love. he makes you weird handmade crafts—like a necklace with your initials carved into a random rock he found because “the vibes were immaculate.”

he’s also the king of grand gestures. once, he showed up outside your window in the middle of the night blasting your favorite song from a boombox. and no, he didn’t think it through—he got yelled at by your neighbors, but he swears it was worth it.

Hear me out so much, Husk, Cherri, or Vox with reader who does ballet... I do ballet myself and that shit is soohohohoho fucking awesome and painful at the same time, like doing a split while doing a backbend too, not even like a half assed split no no no no no. A perfectly aligned split. I've had so much moments where I thought my legs would just... *pop* like a doll's. BUT ENOUGH OF MY RANTING.

remember to take breaks and drink enough water, you don't have to rush anything. take good care of yourself, make sure you have healthy habits and treat yourself to something today, like going out to a great restaurant! idk but just make sure you treat yourself to something nice today, Chiharu :3

You know Husk’s response to our flexibility is a resounding ‘what the fuck’ and this is my first time ever trying out Cherri! And hey, I won’t write Cherri or Vox, I’ll write both!

Husk

Husk is a sweetheart when it comes to being your boyfriend, trust me. He’s caring, he may be a bit rough with his advice but he only does so in order to protect you. He’s skilled with people and he is happy to help comfort you. His patience is high… but even Husk himself is anxious at getting to see your beloved hobby

Ballet. Well, Husk isn’t against it. He always thought it was such an old hobby. That ballet dancers don’t really exist anymore but then again, he won’t express his thoughts outloud and he gives you thumbs up when watching your practices. It’s very impressive and he isn’t against being at every single practice to performance

You know Husk is freaked out by how flexible you are. Back bends whilst doing full on splits. Satan’s fuck, he is cringing at how a human body can do that but at the same time, he’s so impressed that he just can’t bring himself to hate what he is looking at

Husk is in complete and utter awe when he can review your practice performances. Ballet may be a bit disturbing to him, due to how much it stretches the body’s limits, but it’s also so beautiful, graceful and majestic

Husk can’t pull his eyes off you and he falls into a deep state of enamour. You’re so beautiful, even more than you already are, as you dance. He couldn’t even believe it was possible 

Husk is quite protective over you, like I said before, so when you land on your ankle badly, he is rushing onto the stage to check it and carry you out to make sure you’ll heal well. He won’t let you practice or stretch or practice your flexibility until you are doing better

Cherri Bomb

Cherri Bomb is an energetic, supportive and joyful girlfriend. One that doesn’t mind getting a bit destructive and carefree with her partner and encouraging them to have more fun with her but has a soft spot. Of course, however, you know she will take your hobby seriously and help you or watch you for you, it’s actually fun to her as well

Cherri actually finds your ballet passion ‘precious and cute’. Something she is all for since it’s such a simple, innocent, harmless favourite activity. She likes making bombs to make things explode, you love to explode the competition and grace the dancefloor stage with your beauty and poise

Cherri may seem like she isn’t much of a dancer, maybe more of a rapper but seriously, she actually is and it’s canon that she is a very skilled dancer so there is no doubt that she is either passing down her own skills in dancing, training you more or dancing with you. She will dance ballet with you and practice two-dancer ballet with you

Cherri will blow up a hole in the wall at your practice ballrooms or your performance ballrooms to make it and she refuses to let anybody else try take care of you if you’re hurt so suspect her to get into a fight, in a crime of protective passion. She wants you happy and safe, she’ll fight for that

Cherri is actually quite fine with how flexible you are and how your warm-up stretching can really stretch out your limbs. The way you lift your leg up until it’s completely vertical and both your pelvis and the underneath of your thigh is visible. She is impressed and asks if you can teach her how to be so flexible. She isn’t as disturbed as the other two, she likes it

Cherri, just like Husk and Vox, falls into a complete and utter admiration at being able to watch you perform and dance. The soothing gentle music has her head dancing as well and her single eye basically widening, she’s more in love now then ever

“Hey-ya, bubblegum. Did’ya have fun on ‘dat stage? I had fun recordin’ it! You looked amazin’, you’ll win this tournament. No problem! Of course, babe, I’ll be in the front row!”

Vox

Vox is a busy man and can be a bit arrogant at times, but he is actually quite a good boyfriend. He gives off good advice and support, he is protective with his power and he is the type to spoil his lover. When he is around, he’d doting, he’s a bit overbearing but because he cares and he makes sure you’ll always feel loved and comfortable with him

Vox is actually quite supportive but he is the voice of reason. He won’t tolerate you overdoing yourself in your precious little hobby, he will encourage to dance ballet but if you go too far, he will step in and correct your behaviours. However, that doesn’t often happen so you can dance all you want at the big practice ballroom he hired out for you and/or dancing with you

Vox isn’t sure how to feel about seeing how flexible you are… it’s pretty hot but at the same time, it’s disturbing. You’re on the floor and you’re stretching your pushed-back leg over your back so much that you’re almost in a wheel-shape with your body. He’s amazed, he is already cheering you on, he’s recording it to brag about he can’t help but feel aroused

Vox, everytime he attends your passionate hobby’s practice and performance events, records it on his phone or on his own face so he can both watch it back to admire you and to show the other Vees that he is the boyfriend of the best ballet dancer in Hell. He sometimes forgets to record it since you look so… incredible

Vox is protective, extremely protective. You’re smaller, you’re weaker. You’re less wealthy and less well off. You require constant guarding to ensure you’ll be able to make it to the next day. If you even slightly land on your ankle awkwardly, he is stomping up to the stage and taking you away so he can check up on you

You know Vox almost drops the camera he is using to record you every professional dance on the stage and he can’t stop thinking about how unbelievably beautiful you look, how you’re as silly and velvety like a swan with your every spin and flex. He takes a few seconds to snap out of his awe over you

“Come now, sweetheart. You’ve done more than enough, that dance can again-kill everybody in this room and you made all those amateurs look pathetic. I want to reward you for this. Don’t you worry, I’ll be at the final performance“

ybc musical costume in-depth analysis! 💥🎸🎱

hi! I'm jordan, the costume designer (and also an actor and co-writer) of "the young blood chronicles" musical! i posted this on instagram, but i thought it might be cool to post it here too!

my initial role in “the young blood chronicles” musical was costume design, which, as a fashion enthusiast, i was incredibly excited about. i spent about a month curating a huge pinterest board collection and creating individual moodboards. the show takes place in 2013, but i wanted to take inspiration from both pre and post-hiatus fall out boy looks! here’s an in-depth look :’)

patrick’s main inspo was his “soul punk” era, which lives distinctly in the hiatus. i wanted something that would remind us that years had passed since the last time the band had made music together; something cool and trendy, but a little too dressed up for a long day in the studio. even when not onstage, ybc patrick is performing. clothes can give you power and he knows that. the yellow sunglasses were our way of getting around patrick’s glowing yellow eyes from the music videos, but i really love how it makes it seem like he has a mask on. it makes the end of “miss missing you” even more heartbreaking.

pete’s main inspo came from both his early clandestine drops as well as his more androgynous looks (both pre & post-hiatus). pete really cares about fashion, but he still has a chill la vibe. 2013 pete could often veer more edgy, but i chose to move in a different direction in order to better distinguish pete and patrick’s styles. unless you’re a vixen or patrick, you don’t get a leather jacket! sorry pete! to me, pete’s fashion has always felt so current while still being forward-thinking. ybc pete’s outfit could be from 2006 or 2024 and that was very purposeful!

andy’s looks are mostly pulled from more recent years, but band tees never go out of style. the mesh top under the tee alludes to his tattoos, which make up the extent of his stage looks these days since he typically does shows without a shirt on. celia had this mesh top in her closet and i love the colors on her (it’s the only source of color in the heaven outfits!). andy’s outfit is maybe the simplest of the four on paper, but i think it’s sick. it’s laid back, but super specific and grounded. it makes me want to start wearing basketball shorts.

joe’s looks are pulled from both pre-hiatus and early post-hiatus looks! striped sweaters & cargo pants are things he’s worn before, so i'm lucky i had them in my closet (especially since i wasn’t originally joe!). joe, especially in recent years, really likes wearing dark colors onstage, but, similar to how i avoided leather jackets for pete, i wanted to very clearly differentiate the boys from the vixens. any black piece of clothing on any of the boys had to be broken up with a design or pattern. no all black outfits! sorry joe!

the goal with the heaven outfits was to make the exact same outfits in all white. i wanted the exact same silhouettes as before. i’d say we were pretty successful! we got really lucky when it came to finding these costume pieces.

my vixens! these costumes were a lot more nebulous throughout the process. many of the costume pieces came from the actors’ own wardrobes. it was really important to me that each vixen had her own distinct style. baylee’s vixen (whom she named blair) has a more feminine style, her main costume piece being a lacy leotard. she's sweet with an edge. ava’s vixen is second-in-command & her outfit really screams that. the lingerie top is so killer. alexa’s vixen is almost a mix of baylee’s & ava’s in terms of style. the outfit is sweet, but edgy with the ripped tights & lingerie-style top. lauren’s vixen is a little more utilitarian, actually dressed in a way that makes sense for kidnapping four people. she’s more sporty than the others, but her combat boots are incredibly threatening. hbic is all that and more. her outfit is simple, but powerful. she is terrifying.

tiffany had to feel a bit like an outsider. she’s wearing the vixen clothes, but her jacket has some color on it. it’s a little too big on her. the other vixens really live in & embody their clothes, but for tiffany, it's a bit more like a costume.

here’s how i describe the angels: 1) the hottest girls at the ren faire & 2) like that picture of the angel guiding the two kids that every latine family has in their house. they almost feel out of place; so incredibly fluid in a show that is mostly made up of harsh lines. texture and layers were really the name of the game here, but the angels still have an edge to them. to quote fob: “…angels choking on their halos, get them drunk on rose water. see how dirty i can get them, pullin' out their fragile teeth & clip their tiny wings.”

+ i made pete’s bass machete and tiffany’s/joe’s guitar axe! i don’t have much to say about them, but i loved getting to utilize my cosplay foam skills.

this was my first time ever costuming a show and it was such a dream. the entire cast was so willing to experiment with me and it was such a joy to revisit aspects of 2013 fashion, which i remember from my preteen years, but never got to truly participate in! :’)

Modding

There are two projects I'm working on in the modding department (+another 4-5 in my head).

The one I'm wrapping up right now and preparing to share for a beta, pics and publishing. You might have seen it in a bunch of Vio's pictures, because I have it laying around for a while: The pearl necklace Vio wears... well, quite often lately! Same style and different colors (Yes Vio has also the earrings, but they work for her earshape and I'm too lazy to fix them to work for every shape).

Second one is a posepack focused on sweet and happy couple times, inspired by a photo Boro sent me with the comment: "It would be perfect for old Violad!"

I started collecting other pics and inspo (always a bit vintagey, because that's ma jam). I've finished the MF poses, working on retargetting for FMB. And maybe for MMB for ma fella Les. But I already feel my energy about it dropping down to the pit, so I'll probably won't do many retargets. For this one is still too early for the testing and taking pic phase, but come back in [REDACTED]!

Writing

I dunno, maybe some day I'll share it with the world, but for now I don't really see a point in doing it and I'm not completely convinced about it, it will probably need a bunch of serious hardcore revisions, so I'm keeping it all in my dungeon. Anyway, I've left in a hiatus the Dead Inside version of the nuggets (even if after rereading it yesterday in my mega hangovered state I still like it A LOT!) and I'm fully invested in the Little Talks AU. Well, I like the idea of Vio, Roy and Vlad growing up together, knowing each other before everything went horribly wrong. And, even if I still don't know if I'll share it I can give little peaks on it:

Violet grabs a box from Elroy's room, then enters the room Vlad used when he came to visit. Still the same, as he left it the last time, three years before. She sits on the bed, opening the box of old photos, neatly ordered by year.  Elroy will kill her if she doesn't put them back in their exact order.  It doesn't matter. Her eyes are caught by the closet, where Vlad places his clothes in a precise order as soon as he arrives, every time.  Maybe… She stands up.  Opens it. An old shirt he might have forgotten.  Or might have left for the next visit.  A visit that now might or might not even happen.  She cloaks herself with his shirt. She hides herself under his sheet. And starts looking at the images of them.  Some of them, she has already seen. Elroy was more than glad of showing off when he was proud of something.  Many others, he has kept them for himself. In a few of them Elroy was in, but mostly they showed her and Vlad through the years. Some of them, taken in moments when she thought they were alone. As children, teenagers, in their early twenties. Then nothing, anymore. Three years when they didn't see each other at all.  “And now it could be forever,” she whispers.  Violet closes her eyes, covering her head with the blankets. It's egoistic. And maybe cruel. But if they can truly use cyberware to bring someone back from death, at least she'll see him again. And she will have a chance to make up for her mistakes.  Get back to where they were.  And be happy.

but since i’m taking it easy atm, i thought why not give these arts another shot. esp bc i only recently realized that dredd an’ fear' are those two guys i really loved in the game, i played as a child at my aunt’s bf house all those years ago. i had no idea that it was connected to judge dredd movie *the old one* an’ even less so, that it had smth to do with comics at all. 

*kinda crazy how many of these fundamentally ‘my’ things had re-found me years down the line. an’ everything makes such a shocking amount of sense too. the sort, that kid brew could do nothing important or super fun with. but adult brew knows how to enjoy it properly. it literally aged like fine wine for me.*

but oh, dredd an’ fear, i feel like one of those cases, where writers are kinda low-key afraid to expand on certain possibilities, bc many of them have the exact same problem with batman an’ scarecrow. my main theory, is that it’s not even ‘this would have been too gay’ sort of hold up, but that men are historically afraid of intimacy, esp between each other. doesn’t even have to be romantic stuff. just general intimacy. smth that you can reach only in that specific context, with those specific characters. but that’s just a theory! like, there are many other things, that make it impossible. as well, as the fact, that i can’t say that judge dredd is super rich when it comes to delivering an emotional punch. even if sometimes, it does this fairly effectivly.

but anyhow, i love the idea of dredd being forced to deal with the undead creature, who is fixated on him, simply bc he’s the only man, who has ever survived him. i mean, there was that one child, who also wasn’t scared of judge fear an’ didn’t die from a heart attack like anyone else, but fear threw him out of the window in fit of rage, so technically he still killed him lol. i also love the implication, that dredd can in fact feel afraid, but considering how emotionally stunted he is, perhaps, that’s what kinda saves him. what he might see tho, is another question as fear’s ‘face’ is supposed to project a person's deepest terror an’ nightmare right at his victim, stopping their heart as result. i love the idea of dredd being able to see fear’s actual face. be it a nightmarefuel, which was shown to us a couple of times, or his actual face. the one, that he seems to be very keen on hiding.

in short, i see so many opportunities to expand on both characters via their interactions with each other. esp since we barely know anything about fear at all. to me, he always feels like jonathan crane’s distant, alt dimension cousin. bc man, do they have quite a few similarities. i mean, if fear’s name was truly stanley kramer *this bit is unconfirmed, but i keep this as my personal hc* then you can’t tell me, that this wasn’t intentional. like, crane … kramer. both are thin, fugly, obsessed with fear an’ that one guy, who sends them to asylum / prison, cuz he's not afraid of them.

an' oh, by old men yaoi, i mean actually that. dredd ages in real time. so even, if he doesn't look it, he's 80 smth. an' judge fear is either around the same age, or maybe even way older. not that it matters for him, since he's literally an evil undead zombie ghost thing.

as for arts themselves, they are mostly based on judge dredd vs death game, less so on the comics. i really love how dredd have to navigate sewers in order to find fear. this is also the coolest level too.

but i think, that real culprit of my inspo was this,

i love how fear being low-key villainously poetic here. an' in the beginning of the level, he says 'dredd. i can smell your fear, dredd'. with what he can smell it with is a mystery. but he has way more lines directed at dredd vs mortis or fire, which is kinda curious. i guess, bc fear does like to talk big an' generally to run his mouth, even if in way lesser extend than judge death.)

I'm assuming it's Astarion based on your posts, but I *need* to get this idea out of my brain please I must share it. So Halsin is an elf druid right? and he has a bear wild shape form right? WELL. Imagine he has a halfway form, like just the ears, tail, and claws of a bear, but he still has to sleep through the winter, so he's hibernating, and the reader is still sleeping next to him at night but they go out and hunt and explore and stuff during the day, and after a few days of this, one morning comes and Halsin won't. let. go. And the reader is giggling and trying to get him to stop cuddling them so that they can go do stuff, but Halsin, still not awake, is just mumbling that "they're warm" and "they need to stay with him, please?" and the reader just folds and sleepy morning snuggling and shenanigans ensue.

I love your art a lot, and I've always wondered, how do you choose your colours?(both in art in general and in character design). Can you explain/show us your process?

first of all Thank you 😊😊😊 i think the way i colour is my biggest strength as an artist and im glad other people agree

second... its kind of hard to explain? its not the sort of thing you can just make a tutorial for, you have to actually study colours (think of an artist or comic or show or game you love the look of and try to match how they use colour! just like how you can take inspo from an art style in terms of anatomy or linework etc, you can take inspo for colours!) and basic colour theory (ik a lot of artists act like "colour theory" is some sort of Scary Concept but its literally not... calm down... its ~Hughueue~...) but i can try list some things i keep in mind while working! please bear in mind a lot of this is assuming youre a digital artist but a lot of it is either universal or has traditional equivalents

so first of all, during actual polished full colour illustrations, i dont use pure black or white. you mightve seen something like this during my timelapses. i think for a full colour, using pure greys can look flat and often clash against the rest of the colours so i use a combination of these palettes. in order to make it less monochrome, i usually mix two; eg, id use blue for dark colours and cyan for lights, or pink for darks and yellow for lights. it depends on the palette of the drawing though! and for regular doodles i can just use greyscale

while planning out colours (like if im designing a character, or doing the colour thumbs for a bg) i make sure to keep checking my values (how light or dark a colour is), its important for the values to be comprehensible, although if its like... a blue and a pink, you can get away with the values being similar since theyre so different they likely wont blend together (unless someone in the audience has a really specific form of colour blindness in which case... sorry) but for colours like brown and red, its more important that they dont blend together if they touch. you can check your values by making a layer on top of your colours filled with greyscale and setting it to a layer mode, either "hue" "saturation" or "colour", theyll give the same results

it is very important you dont use a hue/saturation/luminosity adjustment layer for this, because this doesnt take into account how saturation and hue effects its relative values. see how the colour layer made the same shade of blue darker than h/s/l, while the opposite is true of the yellow? thats because blue is seen as darker than yellow due to how our eyes process light, and the colour layer considers that, while h/s/l doesnt and goes purely off of how both those colours have the same saturation and luminosity despite their different hues. TLDR: USE A COLOUR LAYER AND NOT H/S/L TO CHECK YOUR VALUES! i made the same mistake for probably years... dont be like me... learn from my mistakes

onto the colours themselves, the main thing i encourage everyone to do is SIMPLIFY YOUR PALETTES!!! you do NOT need 7 shades of pastel cyan! your character designs will feel so much more cohesive if you try to stick to three or four main colours (keep in mind the 70/20/10 rule (although thats less a "rule" than a "suggestion") and try to think of the colour harmonies above) and if you notice any shades are too similar, you can try and make them the same exact shade. that might be too complicated over text, so heres an example

which do you think is most effective? the one on the right, right? i agree, but if you dont, then think about how youd be the one colouring it in. do you want to be a comic artist? an animator? could you imagine trying to keep track of the near identical pastel pinks every single time you draw this character? believe me, simplifying your palettes is as much for your benefit as the audience's

while i mostly gave examples for character designs, you can also use this for backgrounds and props. if theres a red building close to the foreground, and you need to use another red, see if you can make it the same red. itll make the palette seem more cohesive, like its an environment that belongs together. for this, the dull blue-grey of the vending machine was also used for the road, the pipe, and the buildings in the distance

last thing i can think of is colour correction. while not a substitute for decent base colours, they can give a little extra Oomph. its like adding a filter to a photo, if the original sucked you wont salvage anything but it can be the finishing touch you need to take it from good to great. i usually plan out my colour correction after the colour thumbs stage but dont be afraid to do some last minute tweaks after the piece is otherwise finished. the exact colour corrections i use differ from drawing to drawing, but typically i use a gradient map (either on normal or colour) set to around 25-50% opacity, and then tweak with colour balance and tone curves as i see fit. for this drawing, this was my layer setup. nothing too complicated since the colours were mostly good anyway

it probably wouldnt help to show what they actually looked like if you dont already understand how these adjustment layers work so just play around with them until you understand, its way more helpful to learn with your hands than copying tutorials in my opinion (especially with tone curves, sometimes hearing people actually describe them is way more confusing than it needs to be...)

but basically my goal was i wanted things to look soft and pink to fit the vibe of a romantic spring picnic date

while here, my goal was for the top panel to seem green and sickly, borderline nuclear since it was the setting of two supermutants fighting to the death, while the bottom panel was supposed to feel warmer and more inviting, it was a normal italian restaurant and the part you were supposed to find offputting was the kids who were covered in their own blood. youll notice i still kept this in mind with the base colours, since the top panel was mostly neutral colours that worked well with the sickly greens, and the bottom panel was almost all warm tones to begin with. you dont want to rely on your colour correction to carry the mood, you work WITH it. it is a tool, and not a crutch

i think those are the main things i keep in mind while colouring, but really the most important thing i can tell you is to STUDY! study artists you like, study colour theory. it doesnt need to be scary, and you dont have to get a PHD in it or anything, but even just the basics can be so helpful! good luck 🫡

Getting back on my lore kick today. Inspo made me revisit the Swarm Disaster chapter due to some intrigue that I had. Its primarily about Xipe, and the unique circumstances that potentially crafted their existence. THEY did not play by the book in terms of ascension methods we heard thus far.

Just to add some extra sauce on why this also caught my attention? The Penacony chapter, practically the chapter with a struggle that revealed that Ena's still active in a degree within Xipe talked on these subjects. While they can only work on footnotes of still existing knowledge, the Simulated Universe helped give a more intimate picture in how 'devoured' isn't quite what happened.

Gonna be a bit of along post! So I'ma read more this in the meantime.

What I want to propose that this isn't an unnaturally normal situation of a mortal being ascending to Aeon-hood. Rather, there was a plan for their creation and Ena the Order stands at the centerfold of all these events.

What caught my intrigue was Ena's initial introduction, how by embracing Destruction is the Sim Universe protocol, you'd come to see how stringent their MO is.

Now as we've seen in the Penacony chapter this would fall in line. Intensive, destructive desires that would pose a threat is something it'd actively stop. In fact, this exact phenomenon described is what happened once the Nameless began to truly brace a stance against Sunday/Order forces.

This is virtually the equivalent of what happens to your free will. Clockwork deals with tuning the soul, and in kind, Ena's influence can completely lock that aspect if you don't have the means of counteracting this. So, this brings me a level of intrigue if they were actively this critical in trying to maintain a particular level of balance, their behaviors we've come to learn in the Swarm Disaster arc exercises a certain level of will beyond the Primum Mobile restriction, that will to actively plan.

We have multiple examples here in how Ena wanted to work in orchestrating a cosmic scale event. However, their way of exuding control to influence these matters are HIGHLY limited to the realm of their Aeonic jurisdiction. So it leads to a matter where we can come to see there's a realm of social activity amidst Aeon kind. Not to mention, knowledge of their specialties given how Ena comes to describe Qlipoth.

Now it begs the question as to how they've come to make this possible? If the Swarm Disaster could've been an orchestrated approach, exactly where did Ena manage to find the appropriate help? It's known as Qlipoth will be a future brand of assistant, but in order to transmute, you need materials. In this case, the path of Propagation and Tayzzyronth's concepts.

Despite being the aspect of Order, the most chaotic help agreed to join in their pursuits.

Aha was that drawn help. They have a thriving MO for joy and in that joy, chaos is exactly within that ballpark. Through the Swarm Disaster chapter, you'll come to see just how often pulls, tugs and influences are made by Aha's hand and through the push of their followers. They're the cause as to why a Self-Annihilator found itself in the Lepismat system with their ranks.

Self Annihilators (in most cases) are locked into this constant loop of their most resolved moment. It becomes futility, yet nonetheless given repetition as the aspect of purpose is what helps them persist despite being at the borders of non-existence. In short, this was someone that Aha found fitting to begin the wars that would come to complete these conditions, and in kind, lead to Tayzzyronth's ascent.

Now the universally wide chaos (66.6% of it was decimated in this amber eras long plight) was terrible, but also essential for this growing plan that Ena wanted to enact. The above involving Qlipoth? There needed to be a critical threshold met I believe, enough to where it'd even bring a union of Aeons and the gaze of the Equilibrium prepared to make their move. In short? This would be the prime moment that Xipe's birth would come to be.

For the materials known as 'Ena' and 'Tayzzyronth', Aeons of Order and Propagation would be two essential ingredients for what plays out as the hidden truth. We actively come to witness what transpires once they subdue and begin to dismantle the Propagation Aeon. There's some particulars to actively keep an eye upon.

That mention of puzzle pieces, a core part of Xipe's design being birthed here speaks for itself. Interestingly, whatever it was that was the attraction factor, didn't look to be the lead concept of Propagation itself. There's a second concept, likely the one that assisted this transformation process in Harmony that was used in means of reforging these pieces of Aeons into a new form entirely.

What this tells me is that there's an intent behind Xipe's birth, something we may be far off from knowing, but this information itself heavily opens a new can of worms. It's not merely transcendent will alone that can create Aeons, Qlipoth can utilize a forging process to help bring them into being. The fact 'assimilation' is a method alone always reflected that such an angle was possible.

the wing of a butterfly brushed my cheek, stopped me from starting to cross the street.

astoria was on her morning walk through her hometown in denmark, when on her way home, the wing of a monarch butterfly brushed against her cheek, completely stopping her from the beginning of her crossing the street in front of her. she had just been getting coffee after an hour or two flight back from london before she needed to rush off into her denmark recording studio for her band, venus' new album, but, the butterfly brushing her cheek completely distracted her. 

so you bumped right into me, actualisation of a theory maybe, baby, then you said sorry, i said the same. 

startled by the butterfly, astoria and a cute boy just bumped right into each other. stepping back in shock and hoping that the person she bumped into wouldn't be mad, she apologised. yet, it turned out, the boy was thinking the exact same thing and, seemed to also be very apologetic for the incident. 

"sorry!" they both said at the same time as the actualisation of what just happened hit the both of them 

"i should have watched where i was going i..." 

spilled my coffee, "oh, what a shame", said you'd buy one in exchange for my number and name. 

"...oh, what a shame, i am again, so sorry for spilling my coffee on you!" astoria was flustered as she tried to fix her clumsy and fatigued mistake as the boy ended all her worries 

"don't worry about it, i'll buy you a new one, in exchange for your number and name..." the boy was very clearly slick as astoria chuckled, nodding her head 

"...oh, thank you so much and, of course, you can!" astoria smiled as she and the boy started to walk back in direction of the coffee shop that she had just left before the two of them collided with one another 

writing down her name and number on a napkin that she managed to still have in her hand from the other coffee, she handed it over to the boy who smiled brightly, his gorgeous blue eyes sparkling. 

looking down at the name and number on the napkin, the boy smiled, "hello, astoria, that's a lovely name for a very gorgeous girl. i'm mick, and honestly, don't worry about the coffee stain, i wore a black shirt for a reason, clearly!" mick giggled as astoria gulped, her eyes wide as she nodded her head, not sure whether she had already fallen in love with the man in front of her or if she was still horrified that she bumped into him all because of a butterfly

"hmm, yeah, clearly!" astoria hummed out as she gulped, trying to keep her composure as the two made it back to the coffee shop 

after telling mick her order, he ordered it for her whilst astoria sat herself down in a far-off booth after recognising that just like her, the reaction he was getting from people around him. clearly meaning that like her, he had some sort of fame and recognition to his name, she knew that he'd want some privacy and turns out that she would also need it too. 

the duo then got to talking with each other and found out a lot about one another. like they both were born in the place that wasn't their 'home country' (mick being a swiss born german and astoria being a greek born dane), they both come from very influential and loved families (mick being the son of f1 legend michael schumacher and astoria being the daughter of a famous opera singer) and they both drove mercedes cars.

the moment astoria finished her coffee, she was sort of sad that she'd have to be parting ways with her new friend, having to catch another flight but this time to london. it seemed as if mick thought the same thing before quickly coming up with a compromise to make the farewell a lot happier. 

"...how about on friday at 6pm, i take you out on a date, on me, to make up for us having to leave in the next couple of seconds, you to switzerland and me back to london for the british grand prix?" mick smiles as astoria's face lights up in excitement as she nods her head 

"you've got my number, schumacher, you know what to do," astoria, in a moment of confidence, winked and gave the blondie a kiss on the cheek, completely rendering him speechless as he was then left nodding his head 

"uh-huh..." he mutters out as the two part ways, both of them smiling like high school kids as they both almost happily skip to their cars before going on about the rest of their highly busy days slightly happier than how they started them

one date turned to two, then four, then ten. "hello" turned to "never leave my mind again".

since mick asked astoria on that first date, it quickly turned to a second, then a fourth and then tenth. shortly after the tenth but in between the sixth and the seventh, was when mick fully knew that he was falling head over heels in love with astoria and astoria was falling head over heels with mick. on the tenth date however was when mick finally popped the question and that was when astoria really felt like maybe, that butterfly incident wasn't something that she wished hadn't happened when this is what she got in return. 

"...this was a lot of fun, mick. i really did enjoy it, but, my one question is. how...how do you continue coming up with all these amazing date nights?" astoria smiled brightly as she and mick walked alongside each other, hands clasped together, which they had upgraded to very quickly, on their second date 

mick smiled, his eyes looking at the ground as he blushed, "i...i just, i guess i just know what you like?" he said it as though it was a question which made astoria laugh which made mick giggle 

"well, you clearly do as all these dates have included all of my favourite things that i did as a kid or a young teenager back in denmark. you're either a stalker, which i doubt or you just really have a spiritual connection with me and we're like, soulmates, that were destined to meet," astoria smiled contently as mick smiled too as he stopped the both of them in the middle of the road as it started to rain, which made the both of them laugh at how cliche this was looking 

"i know this may seem cliche now that it's raining but, i...i really do like you astoria and, i don't just like you, i love you. it...it's as though we really are soulmates that were destined to meet and, i'm glad we did on that day that you spilt your coffee all over me because you got distracted by a butterfly's wing brushing your cheek *giggles*. i've honestly never felt the way i feel around you, like any other girl i may have just been named alongside. you...you make me feel safe and happy all the time. we're both considered as famous people yet, you don't use that to blackmail or use it against me when last-minute, we're not able to meet up because you know exactly what last-minute meetings and being an f1 driver like that are like. you don't get mad at me just because i was seen, god-forbid, with another person in a magazine, originally published at the very beginning of my racing career but republished just to get clicks and create drama. you don't care about the way i act or that i take my job very seriously. you don't care because you know me and have gotten to know me as just mick, not f1 driver mick or 'michael schumacher's kid'. i bloody love you astoria and i really would love it if you could never leave my mind again and be my girlfriend?" mick smiled shyly as astoria smiled brightly as she nodded her head and giggled 

sighing loudly, mick smiled happily as he picked up his new girlfriend making her squeal, "oh am i so glad you said yes!" he breathed out as he spun the both of them around as they chuckled 

"my love, this is cute and all but, now we're soaking wet from the swiss rain and we're still three blocks away from your car..." astoria trailed off, hating that she ruined the moment as mick giggled, shaking himself off like he was a dog, making astoria squeal 

"...and?" he jokingly retorted back as if it wasn't a problem which made the both of them giggle hysterically as they didn't bother to get out of the rain 

sometimes i sit in bed and think if that butterfly never made me spill that drink would you have found your way to me?

astoria and mick had just come back to their hotel room after their wedding ceremony and were still celebrating but not in the way some people may have been thinking they were. mick was pretty much fully asleep, his arm softly draped around his wife's chest as she was fully sat up, leaning against the headrest as she was heavily thinking. 

clearly bothered that he wasn't cuddling his wife and sleeping with her, mick woke up and grumbled, "what are you thinking about love?" astoria chuckled at her husband's grumble as she smiled brightly 

"us..." she trailed off as mick sat up as well, now fully awake as he shook his head in confusion at the fact that no context was given 

"...context please babe, what do you mean you're thinking about us?" mick spoke slowly as astoria giggled, caressing her husband's cheek 

"the fact that if it wasn't for that butterfly that made me spill my drink, would you still have met me? would we be laying here, together, right now, married as mr and mrs schumacher?" astoria explained as that really made mick think, would they be married right now if it weren't for that butterfly? 

"well, that...that's actually a good question..." mick trailed off as he yawned and astoria giggled as she leaned on her husband, her eyes drooping as she also began to feel tired 

the schumachers, after really thinking about how they met, found themselves falling asleep within moments as they slept and dreamt of their first meeting all over again as it was just that, a dream. 

was it fate or the work of the theory clearly? you and i were meant to be so, the universe helped bring you to me and i'm thankful every night for that pretty butterfly!

all the time, mick and i are asked how we met and we always smile and laugh because, truthfully, the way we met was absolutely something you'd either read in a book or watch in a movie. so, the reason why we don't say it is because we genuinely think that people outside our families and f1 family won't believe us. but, here we are, here i am, finally explaining to you all how mick and i met. so, one day, in the year 2019, the day mick and i ended up meeting, i was walking back from buying myself a coffee because i had just come back from flying to london for a recording session with one of my bandmates to then have to fly to denmark to record with the other two but, was distracted by a beautiful monarch butterfly that brushed its wing against my cheek which caused me to forget to cross the street and bump into mick, spilling my coffee all over him. and, i know what you're thinking, and i honestly always think the same thing too but, i'm glad it happened because i am in absolute love with my husband and we were truly destined to meet and marry because we are literally soulmates. and yes, i also wrote a song about mick and i meeting called "butterfly effect (demo)" and whether it'll be rerecorded to be sung for me and the girls, i don't know yet but, i am releasing the demo edition everywhere this weekend which is something i'm so excited about so if you want to hear the song about the story of mick and i meeting, you will be very soon and both mick and i are very excited for you all to hear it!

newcomer here but what's the deal with edward creel? he's never mentioned in the show, right?

HELLO AND WELCOME, ANON!!! Fantastic question, I'm always so happy to see people getting interested in the Edward stuff! :DD And also, I'm still going to answer all of this here (and I'm going to talk about TFS too, because that's something I don't talk about in the video because it was made pre-TFS), but I do also have a youtube video with a basic explanation of Edward! So, Edward Creel is not verbally mentioned in the show- but he IS in the show! Like, the name "Edward Creel," does very much appear in the show, on our screens. You can see it in the Indianapolis Gazette article about the Creel murders when Nancy and Robin are reading the articles in the library:

(it's also clearer if you go and watch netflix in HD on your phone & zoom in- unfortunately, in order to screenshot it, I have to use google chrome on PC & netflix caps the quality on google chrome specifically because of chrome's ability to bypass their anti-screenshot stuff, hence why the screenshot looks fairly blurry, but it's actually much, much clearer on the screen when you watch the show at a higher quality. That's why I'm able to accurately read the papers even though my screenshots are blurry/almost illegible sometimes-it's because I'm actually reading them off of the HD version on my phone most of the time.) Basically, there's three different news articles about the Creel murders that we see during that Nancy and Robin library scene- the Roane Daily Citizen, the Indianapolis Gazette, and the Weekly Watcher. The Roane Daily Citizen is too far away for us to read any of it, unfortunately, so we don't know what's in there. But then, when it comes to the Indianapolis Gazette, we can read it & see that it talks about Edward Creel- and it also says that Edward's father is Victor, his sister is Virginia, and his mother is Alice. And then in the Weekly Watcher, Edward Creel is absent, and instead, it talks about Henry Creel, his sister, Alice, his father, Victor, and his mother, Virginia. So, not only do we have the Edward vs Henry thing in these papers, but Virginia and Alice's roles in the family have been swapped (and there's a ton of other differences too, like Victor's age changing, and the fact that according to the Edward paper, the Creels lived in Hawkins for two years and moved there in 1959, whereas with Henry, the Creels moved there in 1959, and lived there very briefly prior to the murders- you can check out posts like this post, this post, and this post for more information regarding the differences between the Edward paper vs the Henry paper)! And while you might be thinking that Edward's name in the paper is just a typo, keep in mind that: a.) The ST team is so insanely meticulous about props (the duffers had to personally approve the *shape of el's bloodstains on her gown during NINA*) and you can go and read some of the alternate versions of the articles that didn't make it into the show- so, they put enough time and effort and thought into it to have multiple, extremely detailed custom articles & to go through multiple interactions of it. b.) There's tons of other "Edward" references outside of the paper- the name "Edward" is bolded on the S4 movie inspo board, Eddie "Edward" Munson is constantly delivering Edward Creel subtext (if you want an easy rundown of how Eddie Munson delivers Edward Creel subtext, I talk about it in that Edward Creel youtube video), as well as 9324737984 other things that I’ve posted about! and c.) Some of the newspaper articles in The First Shadow also align with the Edward articles- like I talked about in this post, we get a glimpse of an article that seems to talk about Virginia as the daughter of the Creel family and Alice as the mother, the exact same family dynamic that's present in Edward's newspaper, but not in Henry's paper.

So, to answer your main question/"what's the deal with Edward Creel?"- we don't entirely know what his deal is in-universe, but some options are that Edward might be Henry's naturally-occurring alternate timeline counterpart, like a Twinner, he might be some sort of long-lost twin, he might also be the result of some sort of lab experiment/cloning experiment- or Henry might be the result of that, after all, basically everything happened to Edward first- he moved to Hawkins two years before Henry did, and his Creel murders happened a few days before Henry’s Creel murders. So, sometimes it feels like Edward might be the original Creel boy, but who knows!

However, regardless of his still-mysterious origins, I do also think that he’s likely Vecna (and then there’s also all of the weird Brenner is Vecna stuff/the idea of a Brenner-Edward or Brenner-Henry merge like the merge in The Fly, but that’s a whole big topic for another time), because as mentioned earlier, I think that Eddie “Edward” Munson is being used to deliver subtext about Edward Creel, and one of Eddie Munson’s main things is that because he’s the DM for the Hellfire DND game, he “is” Vecna because he plays as Vecna in the DND game- but Eddie Munson isn’t the “real,” Vecna, instead, I think that Eddie “Edward” Munson “being” the fictional Vecna in DND is delivering the subtext that Edward Creel is the real Vecna. But this is also another topic that I go through in that video I linked, so there’s a lengthier explanation of this there.

And now, this also all ties to Mike/the Wheelers (and if you’ve seen stuff talking about “The Creelers,” floating around, this is what that’s referring to), because I think that Karen Wheeler is a Creel- but not Alice Creel.

Instead, I think she’s Virginia Creel- but not Henry’s mother, Virginia, instead, I think she’s Edward’s sister, Virginia. You can check out this post, this post, this post, and this post for more information regarding Virginia and Karen, but long story short, we don’t know what happened to the daughter version of Virginia from the Edward timeline- we have no idea if she died, we don’t know how old she was, we don’t even know her hair colour or eye colour. There’s so much room there for Karen to be that daughter version of Virginia, without the issues that are present when it comes to the idea of her being Alice- issues like Alice’s eye colour not being the same as Karen’s eye colour (but Karen’s eye colour IS the same as Mother Virginia Creel’s eye colour, and Daughter Virginia may also have had those same brown eyes/this may be another point in favour of Karen being Daughter Virginia), or Alice’s death.

This would also mean that Edward Creel is Mike’s uncle- and it may explain the weird connection that exists between Vecna and the Wheelers (his whole thing with Nancy & showing her the vision of her family), because if Edward is Vecna, Karen is Daughter Virginia, then Holly, Nancy, and Mike are all Vecna’s nieces/nephew.

And then, there’s also The First Shadow’s Edward references and the fact that "Henry" in TFS keeps having to remind himself that his name is Henry (he keeps repeating "I'm normal, I'm Henry Creel"), and is two years older than he should be (TFS Henry is 14, whereas in-show Henry is 12 according to the Weekly Watcher), which then aligns suspiciously well with Edward having moved to Hawkins two years before Henry/possibly being two years older that Henry (we never get a confirmed age for Edward), especially considering the Edward references in TFS, such as a song about a guy named Edward being referenced right before Walter asks TFS "Henry" who he is. I've got a lot of other posts about Edward and TFS in my TFS post list, too! But yeah! I hope that's a helpful little rundown for you, Anon, there's so much stuff I didn't include because there's just so much to dig through regarding Edward and I didn't want to overwhelm you with all of it at once, but you can also check out my list of Edward posts for further reading,
