"No, no I'm not far," he reassured her having turned on his sirens and grill lights to get around much faster. He was relieved that she was not hurt but as she claimed she might need to see a doctor. Theo couldn't hear anything else for a moment, just Violet's voice as she tried to explain. A man. Had to do something to her to let her escape.

Oh. Someone was going to die tonight he was going to make sure of it. His mind jumping far beyond a bloodied lizard's tail. He imagined for a moment what he was going to do to 'the man' who had done 'something' to his daughter. He only really refocused when someone blared their horn at him as he crossed an intersection at speed. Coming back into focus while his heart well and truly ached with worry and sadness for what he thought had just happened to her!

"I'll take you home," he promised her, oh he was not going to let anyone near Violet for a long while and he knew it. His poor daughter! Of course he was unaware that his mind had gone far beyond what had actually happened, worry was his default emotion after all.

"It'll be alright, Violet. I promise you. I'll be there real soon," his voice choked a little in his upset for her. She had been through so very much as it was and now this! "I'm on the street now, just... stay where you are I'll find you." His tyres screeched to a halt outside the bookshop, to a few startled horns around him before he jumped out of the car to go into the shop and look for Violet.

Violet nodded before realising that her dad couldn't see her over the phone. "I'm staying here," she then assured him with a sniffle, "I- I'll stay on the phone. Are you... are you far?" She was terrified, she wanted to be with her dad, and she wanted to be back home. What if one of the mobster realised she wasn't in room 5 anymore, and decided to look for her? What if they could use a ritual to track her down? There was George's ritual, but what if it didn't work? Panic started to tighten her chest.

There was a customer not to far from her, so Violet carefully stepped away and hid in the theology section -which was empty. Still sobbing, she did as her dad instructed and checked herself for injuries. Nothing. "I'm not hurt," she said after a minute of silence, "but... I think I need to see a doctor." And Violet still really didn't want to see a doctor, or get anywhere near a hospital. But what if she was sick because of the ritual?

"There was a man, he... he helped me escape. But he had to use a rit-..." What if someone still heard her? "He had to do something to me, so the others wouldn't see me and..." And she had put his blood in her mouth. She gagged at the memory. "But right now I just... I just want to be home." A new sob broke her lips, and she slid down on the floor.
