you say we're just friends, but friends don't...
synopsis. in which your so-called friends do things that make you wonder if they're really just your friends after all.
ft. itoshi sae, itoshi rin, michael kaiser, seishiro nagi. 1.8k wc.
content warning. gn!reader- however, reader wears lip gloss in nagi's fic.

𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐒𝐇𝐈 𝐒𝐀𝐄
you had practically dragged sae into helping you bake rin’s birthday cake, countering his reluctance with incessant nagging until he finally gave in (only after you pointed out that rin was his beloved younger brother).
currently, you were working your arm muscles as you mixed the cake batter by hand like your life depended on it. across from you, sae leaned lazily against the counter, whipping the cream with an electric mixer, which you thought was unfair, considering he was a professional athlete.
his sleeves were pushed up to his elbows, exposing his toned forearms, and his auburn hair was slightly messy.
“how’s it going?” you asked between pants, nodding toward the bowl of fluffy whipped cream he was cradling easily in one arm.
sae set the bowl down on the counter before turning to the sink and washing his hands.
“it’s done, you just need to check the taste.” he said plainly, wiping his hands with the ridiculously floral apron tied around his waist.
you hummed, abandoning your whisk to step beside him, scanning the counter for a spoon, or a spatula, or anything you could taste-test with.
before you could reach for one, sae nonchalantly dipped a clean finger into the whipped cream and held it out toward your lips with a blank expression on his face.
“here. taste it.”
your eyebrows shot up in surprise, hesitating for a split second. but he seemed so normal, bored, about it that you felt ashamed for assuming he meant anything more with his action.
you scolded yourself internally for reading too much into it, and leaned forward, taking his finger into your mouth and licking the sweet cream off with a drag of your tongue.
it was delicious– airy and light. “this is perfect, sae.” you pulled back with a satisfied hum, smiling. your tongue darted out to lick the lingering frosting off your lips.
you could clearly see his adam’s apple bob slightly as he tried to keep his collected demeanor in check. you were just about to tease him, but he did not give you the chance.
without breaking eye contact, he brought that same finger to his own lips and licked it clean, his tongue flicking lightly against the tip of his finger, where your mouth had been moments before.
you swore your soul left your body. once you saw his poorly concealed smirk, you realized that that was one-hundred percent intentional, he absolutely did that on purpose to fluster you.
“mmm, sweet.” he mused casually, rinsing his hands again. “rin’ll like this. thanks.”
you could only stand there, cheeks burning hot as you gripped onto the edge of the countertop.
“if you like me, just say it, you idiot…” you muttered under your breath, so low you were sure that he couldn’t have heard it.
but of course, he did.
he shot you a sly glance over his shoulder, a rare smile on his mouth.
“my birthday’s in a month.”
𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐒𝐇𝐈 𝐑𝐈𝐍
you were mid-rant, waving your hands animatedly as you walked alongside rin through the park, venting about the gossip and rumours circulating around you both in school.
he responded in his usual way, with occasional hums, slight nods, and an unreadable expression that made you question if he was even listening. he did not seem to be as bothered as you had expected.
the wind was very strong today. it whipped your hair across your face every few seconds, and with your hands full, you were left awkwardly huffing and puffing it out of the way while talking.
“like, can you– huffff– believe it?” you complained, blowing sharply at a particularly stubborn strand. “hufff– people actually think we’re hufff– secretly dating or something.”
you were too caught up in your rambling to notice the faint smile tugging at the corner of rin’s lips. he found it cute, the way your cheeks puffed and your lips puckered every time you tried (and failed) to blow your hair away.
you went on, oblivious, “seriously, just because– hufff– we’re together a lot, does not mean that we’re—”
your body went rigid before you could even finish your sentence. rin had reached over, without hesitation, and swept the strands aside with gentle fingers, tucking them carefully behind your ear.
his knuckles lingered against your cheek for a second longer than it should have, as if savoring the contact, before pulling away and resumed his impassive demeanor.
“there, perfect.” he murmured, and you could only hope he couldn’t hear your heart’s pounding. “you can continue where you left off.”
you gawked at him, hastily glancing around to make sure nobody was there to witness the… platonic gesture. you half-expected to see your whole class hiding behind a tree. you two would never beat the allegations then.
“rin, what the hell–!” you blurted. “be careful next time! what if somebody saw that??”
rin merely stared at you, as if he was admiring art, then tore his gaze away and looked off into the distance like the clouds were suddenly the most interesting thing in the world.
you barely had time to process his look before his voice cut through yet again.
“are you implying you want a ‘next time’?” he asked smoothly, throwing you a side-glance. your mouth opened, then closed, then opened again. you could only curse under your breath, feeling your face burn hotter by the second. this man was dangerously quick with his words.
“that’s not what I meant– you know what i meant…the rumours…” you mumbled, focusing intently on your feet. as you walked, your fingers lightly brushed against his. you told yourself it was accidental, you told yourself not to look at him or you’d regret it. but you looked up anyway.
“rumours, huh.” rin let out a soft scoff. he shifted closer, deliberately matching your pace so that your hands would keep touching ‘accidentally’. his teal eyes locked onto yours as he spoke softly.
“i’m trying to make it so they’re not rumours anymore.”
𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐄𝐋 𝐊𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐑
the couch was too wide for his excuse to make any sense.
you stood there awkwardly, clutching your popcorn bowl, eyeing the spacious couch that was not completely taken over by your so-called friend. kaiser lounged across it like the self-proclaimed emperor he was, his legs outstretched arrogantly and his arms folded behind his head on the armrest.
and naturally, he had the audacity to pat his thigh with that infuriatingly cocky grin of his.
“there’s nowhere to sit,” he said with faux innocence.
you sighed, setting the bowl down on the coffee table and giving him an unimpressed stare. “maybe because you’re taking up the whole couch?”
still, you found yourself settling down onto his lap with an exaggerated huff. though your heart was already racing. truth was, this situation– which shouldn’t really occur between friends– had already happened before, and you’d invited him over tonight hoping it would happen again. and judging by his grin, you had a feeling he was well aware.
a startled gasp was drawn from your lips as kaiser’s arms snaked around your waist like it was normal. you met his not-very-innocent smile with wide eyes.
“michael—!” you scolded, cheeks burning, but you made no effort to remove his arms.
“what?” he smirked, pinching your cheek gently. “feeling comfortable? i know this seat’s the best in the house.”
you grumbled softly before shifting to lie fully across him, and you felt his arms tighten around you with satisfaction. leaning up, you brought your lips close to his ears, and let your voice drop to a whisper.
“... you’re being ridiculous,” you murmured, your voice tickling his ear and sending a shiver down his spine. “don’t get used to this.”
with a little smirk of your own, you tucked yourself back onto him, pressing your heated against his chest as you turned your attention to the tv.
kaiser chuckled lowly, running a hand through his bi-coloured hair. his gaze flicked towards you, then back to the tv, where a steamy kiss scene was now playing out.
“were you trying to seduce me just now?” he asked casually.
you said nothing, stubbornly pretending to be absorbed in the movie, but your silence gave you away. kaiser’s grin only grew.
he didn’t need an answer.
after all, with your heartbeat drumming so wildly against his chest, you might as well have been shouting it.
𝐒𝐄𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐎 𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐈
you sipped leisurely on the caramel latte you’d just bought, settling into an empty table while waiting for nagi to pick up his order. just as you leaned down for another sip, you were startled by a sudden presence at your back.
without asking, nagi leaned down over your shoulder and stole a sip from your straw, his half-lidded eyes locking onto yours as he did.
“s-seishiro!” you yelped, snatching your cup away from his mouth. warmth bloomed across the apples of your cheeks as you stared embarrassedly at the straw where nagi’s lips had lingered a few seconds ago.
does he not realize you two had just indirectly kissed?!
“mm,” he hummed lowily, licking his lips. “tastes like strawberry.”
you blinked at him in confusion. as he slumped iinto the seat across from yours, you furrowed your brows and held your drink protectively. “i… don’t know what you’re talking about. it’s caramel-flavoured.”
“huh…?” nagi tilted his head, propping his chin on his palm, gazing at you as if you weren’t the one making sense. “i wasn’t talking about the drink. i meant you taste like strawberry.”
oh.
your brain short-circuited. it hit you belatedly– you had applied strawberry-scented lip gloss before coming here. and now you could see the faint sheen left on his lips from the gloss residue on the straw.
before you could recover, you noticed nagi wasn’t looking at you directly, but at your lips. your heart was betraying you, thumping in a pace that wouldn’t be normal for someone supposedly just sharing a drink with a friend.
why was he looking at your lips?? no, worse, why were you looking at his??
you thought you caught the ghost of a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth, but you didn’t stick around to confirm it. you stood abruptly from your seat.
“i’m going to quickly grab a new straw, i’ll be right ba–” before you could escape, nagi’s hand firmly caught your wrist, preventing you from leaving.
“don’t,” he said simply, shrugging like it was no big deal. “line’s too long.”
that was a half-assed excuse and he knows it– you could easily ask for a straw at the counter.
“besides,” he added with a lazy blink, “it’s not that big of a deal.”
you hesitated before sinking back into your seat. “...okay… i guess.” your gaze drifted to the top of the straw, glossy with a shine you hadn’t cared about a minute ago, but now couldn’t stop noticing.
indirect kiss, indirect kiss, indirect kiss.
nagi leaned back in his chair, a little smile on his lips as he watched you bring the straw back into your mouth.
and despite your brain screaming otherwise, you took another sip.

Rin's cheeks are soft and squishy, a trait that never changed since the day he was born. Sae used to tease him about this, but not that Rin minded.
As he got older he forgot about how perfect his cheeks were until...
"Rin can I bite your cheeks?"
To say he was surprised by your request would have been an understatement. He was baffled and disgusted.
"No."
After begging him for over 10 minutes, he relents.
"Fine, but if you go hard I'll bite you ten-times as hard."
"Deal!"
The regret of his decision filled his body as you inched closer to his face. He was fully expecting you to rip his face off. Until he felt you gently teeth his cheeks.
He would've told you to stop a few seconds ago, but he just can't help but... LIKE IT??
By the time you've done what you've needed to do, his face is scrunched up like an angry cat. He looks at you, and he thinks to himself before looking back at you.
"Did you enjoy yourself?"
"Yeah! Your cheeks are so soft, looks like you never really got rid off the baby fat.", you tease him by pinching his cheek. Rin gives you a glare, but doesn't stop you.
"You don't mind if I do this often?", you ask.
Rin scoffs. "Do whatever. Not like I'd care."
He means yes.

“𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐞”
a/n: miss cath pls never stop slaying with your ideas ❤️
alternated between son, daughter, and unnamed kid
ft. isagi yoichi, itoshi rin, nagi seishiro, mikage reo, chigiri hyoma, karasu tabito, bachira meguru, kaiser michael, shidou ryusei, itoshi sae, ness alexis
isagi yoichi
you and isagi set up the test all excited, hyping up your toddler like, “he’s gonna share, he’s the sweetest!”
you hand out the cookies – two for baby, one for you, and nothing for isagi.
your son blinks at the cookies, blinks at isagi, and then immediately places one of his cookies into isagi’s hand without a second thought. like zero hesitation. it’s instinct.
isagi’s entire soul leaves his body.
he’s tearing up. you’re tearing up. even the baby is grinning all proud.
“yoichi, are you crying?”
“n-no, i mean yes, look at our kid! he’s already a team player!!!”
he talks about it for weeks. won’t stop showing everyone the video.
itoshi rin
you had to beg rin to do the trend bc he doesn’t see the point.
“she’s obviously gonna pick you. you’re her favorite.” (he says it so flatly too.)
but he finally agrees.
you hand out the cookies, rin sits there quietly with his empty plate.
your kid... stares. she stares so hard at rin.
lips quivering, eyes watering.
and then she starts sobbing 😭
full-blown meltdown.
“no cookie for dada???” she sobs.
rin freezes. doesn’t know what to do. ends up just picking the kid up and cradling her like, “it’s okay. i don’t need a cookie. don’t cry. please.”
you’re dying laughing while filming it.
rin’s just muttering to the baby like, “you’re too sensitive... you get that from your mom.”
nagi seishiro
honestly, nagi didn’t even realize what was happening.
you gave him an empty plate and he just sat there like “oh. guess i’m last.”
meanwhile your kid is eyeing both cookies in front of her like it’s the biggest decision of her life.
she picks up both cookies.
and you’re thinking like awww is she gonna share?
NOPE.
she gives both cookies to you.
nagi: 😐
you: 😭
baby: 🥰✨
nagi just shrugs and lays down with his head in your lap like, “that’s fine. you’re gonna share with me anyway, right?”
(and you do. bc he looks too cute and pathetic.)
mikage reo
reo is SO cocky before you even start.
“our kid loves me too much to leave me with nothing. you’ll see.”
you’re like okay big shot let’s find out.
you hand out the cookies and reo instantly starts pouting dramatically.
your kid is just chilling. happily munching his cookie. not even looking at reo.
reo fake whines, “what about daddy? daddy’s hungry tooooo~”
your toddler LAUNCHES a cookie at him like it’s a grenade.
(he meant to share. he just has zero hand-eye coordination lol.)
reo catches it mid-air and gasps like he just got proposed to.
acts like he won an oscar.
“i’d like to thank my beautiful child for believing in me...”
you’re laughing so hard you’re snorting.
chigiri hyoma
chigiri’s super chill about it, just giving you a soft smile when he sees you have a cookie and he doesn’t.
your kid IMMEDIATELY notices tho.
like she didn’t even take a bite yet – she sees dad’s empty plate and her little eyebrows furrow all concerned.
then she hands over a cookie to chigiri with this very solemn, serious face. like it’s a ceremony.
chigiri plays along, accepts it with both hands like she gave him sacred treasure.
bows his head a little like he’s receiving a medal.
you’re sitting there like why are they both so dramatic LMAO.
cutest thing ever though. you post the video and it goes viral.
karasu tabito
karasu would try to cheat at first.
tries to sneak a sad face at the kid to guilt-trip them.
your kid sees through it IMMEDIATELY.
literally points at him and goes, “faker.” 😭
karasu gasps so loud, clutches his chest like he’s been mortally wounded.
“baby girl, how could you betray me like this?”
ends up stealing one of the cookies off your plate and running away like a gremlin.
your toddler thinks it’s hilarious and chases after him.
the video is just pure chaos.
bachira meguru
oh this one’s instant.
bachira pouts exaggeratedly, making big sad eyes.
your kid just grins all mischievous and feeds him the cookie.
like literally sticks it into his mouth with his chubby little hands.
bachira starts laughing mid-bite, which makes your toddler giggle uncontrollably, which makes you laugh too.
it’s just a big spiral of giggles and crumbs everywhere.
the purest, happiest family vibes.
kaiser michael
“what do you mean i don’t get a cookie? i’m the man of the family.”
very offended before you even start.
you roll your eyes and hand out the plates.
your kid, chaotic little gremlin, takes all the cookies.
and gives both to you.
kaiser looks so betrayed.
he’s like “how dare you choose her over me??? i thought we had something special???”
meanwhile your kid is giggling like “mommy’s the best!” and clinging to your leg.
kaiser acts all hurt and sulky for five minutes until you shove a cookie in his mouth and give him a kiss.
then he’s fine again lol.
shidou ryusei
shidou immediately makes a huge scene when he doesn’t get a cookie.
“hey! what is this injustice?!”
your kid’s like 😐 and just stares at him.
shidou tries to work his charm, all “come on, buddy. daddy’s hungry tooooo~”
he literally hands over both cookies at the same time and walks off like, “there, done.”
shidou’s left standing there stunned.
“wait... what? that’s it? no big speech, no big drama? nothing?”
you’re dying, while your son just shrugs and starts playing with his toys, clearly satisfied with his cookie diplomacy.
shidou still insists on making it dramatic though, waving his cookie around like a trophy and making “victory” noises.
“i may have gotten no cookies, but i’m still the king of this house!”
your kid rolls his eyes.
itoshi sae
sae... is too smooth for this. he’s lowkey a little smug about the whole thing.
“you’re really going to give me nothing? i’m offended, darling.”
you hand out the cookies, and your kid looks at the cookies... then looks at you, then at sae, and just gives you one of her cookies without question.
sae’s left there with no cookie.
he’s watching it all happen, like in slow motion.
you’re trying so hard not to laugh while sae just... blinks.
“... i see. so this is how it is.”
your kid grins proudly, as if she solved some big mystery.
sae stares at you with a look like, i’m not even mad. i’m just disappointed.
“well, at least i know who the real favorite is.”
you’re like, babe, you’re still the most handsome, you know that right?
he just grumbles, looking away.
you’re dying and your kid is straight-up chilling in the background.
ness alexis
ness is not okay with not getting a cookie.
he pretends to be all chill, but you can see the twitch in his eye as he watches your kid get two cookies and you get one.
the kid doesn’t even hesitate.
she just looks at you, then hands both cookies over to you.
ness looks like he’s been betrayed.
“this… this is unacceptable.”
he dramatically holds his hand out like please, just one.
your kid just shrugs and plops back down to continue playing.
“you’re not gonna share?” ness asks in the most dramatic voice possible.
she looks at him, then looks at you, and just turns back to playing with her toys like she's already moved on.
ness? absolutely dying on the inside.
he keeps glancing at the cookies like he’s waiting for a miracle.
finally, he sighs and snatches one of your cookies, slumping dramatically on the couch like, “fine, i’ll settle for this one.”
your kid gives him the most unimpressed look.
“that’s not a cookie for you. that’s a cookie for mom.”
ness: 😭 “you’re not wrong...”

DAYDREAMING, WITH MY CHIN IN THE PALM OF MY HANDS — ITOSHI RIN
౨ৎ — sure, rin may be an asshole, but for some reason he offered to help tutor you in your worst subject, english. so maybe he’s not as bad as you thought. maybe he’s actually someone you could find yourself falling for.
itoshi rin x fem!reader. fluff, high school au/no blue lock au, pining, the long awaited part 2 of “it’s impossible to ignore you” :3 ahh i loved writing this omg reader and rin r everything to meeee!! pls enjoy xx
word count. 6.3k

“Rin is going to tutor you?” your friend, Akemi, asks with her jaw on the floor. “The same Rin who rejects girls by saying he doesn’t have time for them?”
You nod sheepishly, just as surprised as she is. “He knows if I fail one more exam, I’ll have to retake the class during summer. And he offered to help me. Still, I won’t do it if you don’t want me to.”
Her eyes widen as she takes a bite of her beef rice bowl. “Why would I not want my best friend to get help from the best English speaker in our grade? I don’t want you to fail!”
“But he broke your heart just yesterday!”
Akemi sighs, waving her hand dismissively. “Yeah, he did. And he sucks for that. But I guess I was more infatuated with him than in love. I mean—what’s his favorite color anyway?”
You shrug.
“I don’t know either. Someone in love should probably have known at least that,” she giggles. “You don’t need to turn down a great opportunity on my account.”
Giving her a grateful look, you mumble, “I really do want to pass English. Do you think he can actually help?”
“If he can’t, who can?”
“The Tooth Fairy? Maybe if I find a tooth to put under my pillow…”
She makes a face. “First off, that’s gross. Second, I think the Tooth Fairy only gives you money, not a passing grade.”
You groan, placing your head in your hands with an exaggerated movement.
Akemi simply laughs at your dramatics. “Oh, come on. Studying won’t be that bad. When’s your first tutoring session, anyway?”
“It was supposed to be now,” you reply, twirling a strand of hair as you glance away to avoid her incredulous stare. “But I just couldn’t start without making sure you were okay with it first! I asked Rin if we could postpone…”
“Y/N!” she exclaims, practically slamming down her bowl of rice onto the cafeteria table. “That’s so stupid of you! And sweet. Very sweet. You’re the best friend ever. But you could’ve been at least three times more knowledgeable about English by now!”
You give her a sideways look. “Three times? Don’t you give Rin too much credit?”
Akemi raises her brow at you. “Have you ever paid attention to him speaking English? Three times better in one session is the minimum. Go text Rin and reschedule for after school.”
“But—”
“No buts,” she says sternly.
“But,” you continue in an exaggerated tone, “he has soccer practice after school.”
“Tell him you’ll wait for him then,” Akemi offers as if it’s the most obvious solution in the world. “You are the one who cancelled your lunch session at the last minute, after all. It’s the canceller’s duty to reschedule.”
“That’s not even a word.”
She glares at you.
You sigh in resignation, holding your hands up as you swallow the last bite of your food. “You’re right. I have English with him next period. Apparently. I’ll ask him if he can tutor me this evening when I see him.”
Akemi nods in satisfaction, giving you a wide grin and a thumbs up. “Good luck, Y/N. I know you’ll ace the next test!”
Exchanging a small smile, you nod in determination. “I will definitely pass. The next exam will be mine!”
At least, you hope so. That is what Rin told you, after all, and soon it’d be time to see if he lives up to that promise.
Half of you expects Rin to say no, that he’s too busy to tutor you tonight and it’s totally your loss for cancelling on him in the first place. But to your surprise, he simply nods.
That’s how you find yourself sitting on the bleachers as you watch Rin playing soccer at his after school club.
Oddly enough, it seems you aren’t the only one.
“Oh, my god! Rin is so good,” the girl to your left, a few rows away from you swoons.
“Yeah, he’s totally in charge on the field,” says another in a similar, dreamy tone. “So intense!”
A guy sitting next to them snorts, folding his hands over his arms. “Too intense. All he cares about is soccer and winning. Nothing else.”
You raise your brow, looking over at the group with your peripheral vision. There was no doubt in your mind that the guy had a crush on one of the girls he was with, but she was too hopelessly infatuated with Rin to notice.
The classic highschool love triangle.
Sort of. Maybe it’s more of a broken love line.
As the sun begins to set, the coach ends the practice and tells everyone to keep up the good work before dismissing them.
You silently watch Rin down a bottle of water before grabbing a clean towel to wipe his face and neck. Seeing as the practice was over and it would likely be time for your tutoring session soon, you make your way down to the field.
“Not another one of Rin’s secret admirers,” one of his teammates groans to another. “I’ve seen enough rejections this week to last a lifetime.”
If Rin can hear them (which, given he’s only three feet away, there’s no doubt that he can’t), he chooses to ignore them completely. Instead, he saunters over to you and nods in greeting.
“Give me a minute to change, then we can go,” he says, brushing his hair out of his face with his fingers. “Wait for me by the door.”
From the corner of your eye, you see his teammates’ jaws drop as Rin begins to walk away to clean himself up.
“Is he willingly…speaking to a girl?” whispers one with a bleached blonde streak in his fringe.
Another shivers, a horrified look on his face. “I feel like the world just turned upside down.”
You stifle a laugh at their dramatics. The concept of Rin willingly interacting with someone of the opposite sex shouldn’t be that revolutionary. But, you have met Rin, after all. His stoic and uncaring persona did run rampant at times. Perhaps their shock isn’t so misplaced.
Much to your pleasure, you don’t have to wait long for Rin to finish up in the locker rooms. The outfit he changed into is a casual one—a simple crew neck and black joggers—but he somehow manages to look fully put-together.
He comes up to you and you wave, finally allowing yourself to smile. “Hi, Rin.”
“Hey,” he says, slinging his backpack over his shoulder. “Ready?”
You nod, walking side-by-side with him as you skip over to the school library. It’s not open for too much longer, but it should be enough for you to get a good hour of tutoring in.
“How was practice?” you ask conversationally as you make your way down the hall.
Rin shrugs. “Nothing special.”
You huff to yourself, glad to see he was as chipper as ever. And to think you two almost had a moment after that train ride… It must’ve been your delusions talking.
As he enters the library, he finds a table for you to sit at near the back, away from the librarian and remaining students so as to not disrupt them with your talking.
“The last test we had in the class was about reading comprehension, right?” asks Rin, pulling out a children’s picture book written in English and handing it over to you. “Is your issue that you don’t know the words, or you don’t understand the meaning?”
“Of course I know the words!” you cry indignantly, proving yourself by reading a random page of the book and translating them out loud in Japanese. “Back when all we did were vocabulary tests in the previous years, I aced those. It’s the…putting it together I don’t get.”
He nods as if he expected it. “I figured you would know how to translate it. You are in the advanced English class, after all,” he says dryly.
“Somehow,” you murmur.
“Knowing how to translate each word to Japanese is different from understanding it in English.”
“That’s what the hard part is,” you agree miserably.
Rin snorts, “Then maybe you shouldn’t have done Advanced English. You would’ve done just fine in the normal classes. This is the only teacher who actually cares about our conversational and comprehension skills.”
“But I always take the advanced classes!”
“How’s that working out for you?”
You glare at him. “Well, it’d be better if my English tutor was actually helpful!”
He rolls his eyes. “I’m getting there. I have to gauge how bad you are before I know where you need help.”
You heave a sigh, unable to argue with his logic.
Rin searches something on his phone before showing it to you. “Here, can you read that?”
Nodding slowly, you say the title in Japanese, “Analysis of relative gene expression data using real-time quantitative—”
“In English,” interrupts Rin exasperatedly.
You frown. “But… I don’t know how to pronounce it.”
“It doesn’t matter. Just try.”
Try and make a fool of yourself? No thanks.
You shake your head stubbornly.
Rin pinches the bridge of his nose and exhales loudly. “Okay. Well, you can theoretically translate a research paper, but you don’t know how those words go together. And you can’t make sense of it in English.”
“Sounds accurate,” you sniff.
“All that knowledge about vocabulary and grammar won’t do you any good if you can’t understand the source language,” he comments, deadpan but not rude.
“Well, how do we fix it, doctor?” you say sarcastically.
He huffs, taking his phone back from you in one swift motion. “We put you through the most intensive training regimen I know. Watching English movies.”
Your next tutoring session is at Rin’s house.
It’s a nice house, but rather empty. There are pictures of him, his parents, and someone you assume to be his brother scattered throughout the hallways, but no one else is home. When Rin opens the door, he doesn’t even have to greet anyone or introduce you to his parents before bringing you to his room.
The session starts with Rin going over some grammar and sentence structures from an earlier class (one that you definitely slept through), and segues into you reading another children’s book. This time, he demands you read it in English and give him a summary about what it’s about instead of translating each word into Japanese.
“The larger context is more important than each individual word. Even if you don’t know a few words, you should still be able to understand what’s going on,” he says, already sounding impatient. But really, you think that’s just the perpetual tone of his voice.
This time, you dutifully listen. You had to put your trust in Rin’s tutoring skills if you wanted a chance to pass the class.
As you read through the picture book with a giant elephant on the cover, your brows furrow in confusion. You aren’t sure if you’re just complete ass at reading English, or if the story was genuinely this bizarre.
“Rin,” you say hesitantly.
“Hm?”
“Is this really about an elephant finding a small planet on a speck on a clover? And no one believes him because they can’t see it? Until they… Yopp?”
Rin nods, looking thoroughly impressed. “So you can understand some English.”
“I don’t think half of the words in this book are even real!”
“Exactly why it’s a perfect way to force you to focus on the context over translations,” he retorts.
You can’t help but laugh at the absurdity. Still, it did help you find some confidence in your comprehension skills. If you can read English on a paper, maybe understanding it audibly isn’t so far out of reach.
Turning the TV in his room in, Rin lazily turns to you. “Time to start the intensive part. Let’s watch a movie in English. I’ll keep the Japanese subtitles on for a bit, but then change it to English subtitles only.”
You bite your lip, fiddling nervously with a thread on your sleeve. “I don’t know… That sounds a lot harder than reading a picture book meant for five year olds.”
“We can pause when you need to and go slow.”
Reluctantly, you nod. “What are we going to watch?”
“The Conjuring.”
“What’s that about?”
“You’ll see.”
Rin sits on one side of his bed, gesturing for you to join him. Your cheeks begin to burn at the implication of joining him in bed, but the butterflies instantly turn into dust the moment he so obviously scoots away to put the most distance he possibly can between you two.
As you blink at him questioningly, he simply explains, “My TV is better than the one in the living room. I’m not trying to…”
“Yeah. I know.”
“Yeah,” he finishes awkwardly.
The moment the movie comes onto the screen, your eyes widen with dread. It’s dark, and eerie, and you immediately know what this is.
“A horror movie?!” you cry indignantly. “I did not sign up for this.”
“The plotlines in American horror movies are relatively simple,” insists Rin. “It should be easier for you to follow compared to a drama.”
You squint at his explanation, taking a pillow from his bed and hugging it close to your chest. “That sounds like baloney.”
He snorts in amusement, eyeing the way you are clutching his pillow in a death grip. “Why? Are you scared?”
“No!”
Rin sighs, “I’ll keep the lights on.”
You pause before muttering, “Thanks.”
The movie starts and you immediately regret all your life choices. Is Rin trying to help you pass your English class, or is he secretly trying to torture you?
Rin really is an asshole…
It doesn’t take a genius to feel the sense of suspense and unease in the film, even if you didn’t fully understand what the actors were saying. You knew there was some demonic supernatural shit going on and you immediately hated it.
Rin extends his leg and you can’t help but yelp at the sudden movement.
Your head snaps to his, eyes wide and alert.
“I was just getting a cramp,” he says with a hint of laughter in his voice.
Of course, you were scared out of your mind and he was laughing. What do all the girls even see in him?
You huff, sinking deeper into his bed and allowing his pillow to block more and more of your vision. In your fear-clouded haze, you vaguely notice Rin offering you another one of his pillows to hold. Those fluffy feathers would certainly be enough to fend off any evil spirits.
During a particularly intense part, you find yourself abandoning the pillows and creeping over to Rin’s side of the bed, too scared to register how you grabbed his arm and buried your face in it.
“I’m going to turn off the subtitles now,” he says, but you don’t let go of him as he reaches for the remote to change the settings. He glances over at you, his lip curled up. “Do you need a break?”
“No.” You shake your head fervently. “Let’s get this over with as soon as possible.”
He shrugs and resumes the movie, almost unfazed as you attach yourself back onto his side.
This isn’t something you’re used to doing when you watch a movie with someone. In fact, you’re normally perfectly content sitting in your own personal space. But this movie was terrifying and you were willing to use anything that provided some source of comfort.
Besides, it doesn’t seem like Rin minds… Knowing him, he would’ve shoved you off the bed or told you to move if he got too uncomfortable. Plus, this situation is all his fault anyway.
To your surprise, you understand some of the phrases the actors are saying despite having only English subtitles. Though, it comes at your own demise as you grow even more scared at the movie.
You yelp as a jumpscare scene occurs, hiding your face behind your hair and pressing your cheek against Rin’s arm.
A stifled laugh comes from beside you and you’re about to tell him off for finding enjoyment from your misery when he casually brushes your hair back behind your ear. The words on the tip of your tongue instantly become nothing but a forgotten whisper as your stomach flip-flops about ten times in the span of five seconds.
The gentleness of his touch still burns your face. You look up at him, confused.
“You can’t watch when your eyes are covered,” he says with his attention already back to the movie.
You huff in annoyance. Trying to read Rin is harder than English.
For a moment, you’re tempted to put on a brave face and pull away, but you catch Rin looking over at you once more. This time his gaze is covert, as if he doesn’t want to be noticed. But it’s there. Though his expression is neutral, his eyes are bright as they burn into yours. When he sees you staring back, this time he doesn’t attempt to look away.
Okay, so maybe you could understand why he had girls always swooning over him.
The intensity of his gaze almost makes your cheeks flush. Almost.
Luckily for you, a sudden and loud noise from the movie jolts your mind away from…whatever that moment was.
As the movie comes to an end and the plot is left unresolved, you are still as unsettled as you were when the movie first started. That is to say, Rin really screwed you over by making you watch this.
“I officially hate you,” you proclaim as he turns the television off.
“Again?” He raises his brow. “Why now?”
“Because, what kind of asshole makes someone watch a horror movie that will traumatize them for the rest of their lives?!”
“It’s just The Conjuring.”
You glare at him but he pays it no mind.
“If you’re scared, that must mean you understood it,” he says smugly.
“It’s not difficult to understand when there’s creepy music and dark shadows and everyone sounds slightly insane!”
“See, it’s all about context.”
“I hate you.”
“Do you?” he challenges.
You sigh, “No. Well, maybe temporarily because there is no way in hell I’m going to be able to sleep tonight.”
Rin fixes the pillows on his bed as you get off. “Are you really that scared?”
“Yes! Do you think I’m faking this for dramatic effect?” you ask, incredulous.
“No, but it’s just a movie. You don’t need to be scared once it stops playing.”
“Tell that to my brain.”
Rin snorts and you fold your arms over your chest, looking out the window and wincing once you notice just how dark it is.
“The sun’s already down?” you say with a small voice. “Maybe I should ask my mom to pick me up…”
“Don’t you live nearby?”
You nod, toying with a strand of your hair nervously. “Yes, but a demon can still get me within the ten minutes it takes to get home.”
Rin shakes his head but grabs a jacket as you begin to pack your belongings. “I’ll walk you home, then.”
You pause as you’re shoving your pencil case into your book bag. “You will?”
“Better than having someone come all the way here just to escort you,” he says dryly, leading you out the door. “And…I guess it might be slightly my fault you’re scared.”
“Slightly?” you retort. “It’s definitely all your fault.”
“That’s a funny way of saying ‘thanks for the tutoring session, Rin.’”
You pull a face, crinkling your nose as you repeat monotonously, “Thanks for the tutoring session, Rin.”
He rolls his eyes but there’s a softness to his movements. “Yeah. Sure. You really are improving, you know?”
Begrudgingly, you nod. When he wasn’t making you read weird books and watch scary movies, he was surprisingly patient explaining concepts like participles and tenses. That part was certainly easier for you than trying to read and comprehend in English, so you were glad he pushed you to do that as well. Though today, it may have cost your sanity.
“I guess I should be more genuine,” you say guiltily. “I really am thankful for your help. I know you could be doing lots of other things with your time. Like, practicing more soccer or…watching scary movies. Or… Actually, I don’t know what else you do in your free time.”
He shrugs. “That’s about it, really. I play horror games, too, I guess.”
“With friends?”
“Does it seem like I make friends?” asks Rin in amusement.
You shake your head sheepishly. “Your brother, then?”
He frowns at the mention of his brother, his bright eyes growing dimmer. “No. Definitely not with him. Alone. I play alone. I like it better that way.”
Sensing that you accidentally overstepped on a touchy subject, you clear your throat and look away. “Well, that’s fun too.”
After a few moments of awkward silence as you walk down the poorly lit street, Rin offers, “Sorry.”
You spare him a questioning glance.
“For snapping,” he continues with an annoyed exhale. “We’re not on good terms. My older brother and I.”
You nod in understanding, lightly bumping your shoulder against his. “I could tell. I’m sorry for bringing him up.”
Rin waves you off. “It’s whatever.”
It’s definitely not whatever, but okay, you say to yourself.
The two of you continue walking down the street, turning the corner in silence, but this time it’s not awkward or uncomfortable. Just a neutral calmness. That is, until you hear the sudden ring of a bicycle bell and jump in fear.
Rin coughs to hide a laugh.
“I don’t even want to hear it from you!” you sniff, haughtily crossing your arms and walking ahead of him. “You’re the one to blame for my jitters. How will I ever sleep tonight?”
He raises his hands in surrender. “I know, didn’t I say I’m sorry already?”
“A sorry isn’t enough,” you say with a humph. “How will you atone?”
“You sound crazy,” he says, but humors you nonetheless. “I’ll send you funny cat videos until you fall asleep.”
Your ears perk at the offer. “You drive a hard bargain. Fine.”
“I don’t have your number.”
Rin hands you his phone and you swiftly add yourself as a contact.
“Did you really add yourself as ‘Rin’s Worst Nightmare, devil emoji, devil emoji’?”
You nod proudly.
“Just remember you said it, not me,” he smirked. “What will my name be on your phone?”
“Probably something like, ‘Number One Pain in my Ass.’”
“Creative,” he drawls.
You stick your tongue out at him.
Your walk continues and soon enough, you see the outside of your house come into view. There’s a light visible through the window and you thank the stars you won’t be coming home to a creepy, dark house.
“This is my stop,” you announce with a smile. “Thanks for walking me home.”
“Yeah. I guess I did owe you for scaring you shitless.”
You laugh in acknowledgment. The movie was scary, but at least there were moments you could get your mind off it. “And don’t forget you still owe me cat videos!”
Rin nods. “I’ll send them after I get ready for bed. Try to get some rest now.”
“You too, Rin.”
“How are your tutoring sessions coming along?” asks Akemi, laying down with her head hanging off your bed.
It’s Friday night after school and Rin told you that he would be too busy to tutor you tonight, which makes it the perfect time to catch up with your friend.
“Good, actually.”
“Why do you sound so surprised?” she laughs.
“I thought he would change his mind and leave me to dry,” you reply with a giggle. “Rin’s offer was so sudden, you know? I was partly expecting him to take it back.”
“That does seem like something he’d do to most people,” Akemi agrees, then shoots you a devilish grin. “But not to you. He must like you.”
You shake your head in denial. “There’s no way that’s the case.”
“But what if it was?” she asks, wiggling her eyebrows. “Would you be happy? Maybe you even like him back?”
Groaning, you throw a pillow at her face to stop her incessant questioning.
There’s simply no way Rin liked you. He was just slightly nicer to you because he thought you were someone who is actually worth his time. Whatever that means.
And there’s an even less chance you like him!
Rin has his caring moments, you will give him that, but most times he’s arrogant, emotionally unavailable, and ruthless. Somehow, those qualities suit him…
You catch yourself, shaking your head feverishly at the thought.
There’s no way you could be developing a crush on Rin.
So why do you feel yourself getting butterflies as you think about your next tutoring session?
This session is at your house this time.
You’ve had a handful of meetings in the library over the past few weeks, but Rin decided it was time for another intensive training session— Meaning, it was time for you to watch another movie.
“It won’t be horror this time,” he assures you, tone only slightly mocking. “I think you’ve gotten decent enough that you can graduate to a more confusing genre.”
“Like romance?” you say excitedly. If Rin forced you to watch a scary movie that gave you nightmares for two weeks straight, then you could force him to sit through some romance movies you know he would hate.
Heaving a sigh, he begrudgingly shrugs. “Student’s choice. Also, it’s your house. I don’t know what movies or streaming services you have.”
“So you’ll watch 10 Things I Hate About You with me?”
“It can’t be a movie you’ve already seen,” Rin says, folding his arms as he leans back on your couch. “The point is to try to piece together the plot and what the characters are saying, not recite something you’ve seen a million times.”
You pout, sitting on the opposite end of the sofa. “But it’s a good movie…”
“We’ll watch it another time. After you pass the exam.”
After you pass? So Rin’s implying he wants to keep hanging out with you even after these tutoring sessions are over? Your cheeks flush at the thought.
As you scroll through numerous streaming sites, you finally find a title that sounds familiar.
“My friend told me this one is good! How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” you point out eagerly.
“You must like the number ten,” he comments.
“You’ll love it too after this!”
Rin stifles a chuckle, and you realize you’ve been hearing him semi-laugh more often lately. The ruthless ice prince does have a fun side to him. He is still, after all, just a high school guy in your grade. And you hate to admit that it fills you with some sense of pleasure knowing you’re the only one in school who has likely ever heard that noise come out of Rin’s mouth.
“Since it’s my first time watching too, we can compare our summaries after.”
You groan, almost forgetting that this was a tutoring session and not just a movie night with a friend. “Compare summaries? What’s next, do I have to cite my sources?”
He rolls his eyes at you. “Keep it up and I’ll say yes, you do.”
Immediately, you shut your lips, desperately wanting to avoid as much outside-of-school work as possible.
“This is so cheesy,” complains Rin as the two of you watch the movie in silence, both invested in the plot. “He has a bet, she has an ulterior motive, they’re going to fall in love while using each other, the reveal is going to split them apart, then they’re going to make up somehow and then the movie will end. I don’t even need to finish it to know.”
You glare at him, eyes fixed on the screen as Andie exchanges a touching conversation with Ben’s mother. “Spoilers, much?”
“I’m not spoiling, it’s an educated guess.”
“Keep it to yourself,” you demand playfully, sticking your tongue out. “Some of us like to be surprised.”
He exhales loudly but turns his attention back to the TV.
The rest of the movie passes by peacefully until you get to a certain scene where the main characters have their obligatory romantic kiss. The kiss is slow and playful, and the scene is so intimate you almost have to look away.
Bashfully, you take your eyes off the screen and see Rin following suit, the apples of his cheeks colored a faint pink.
He looks rather cute.
Your mind starts to wander, picturing you and Rin sharing a kiss like the one on screen and you find your throat getting dry. Would his lips be soft or chapped? They look soft. Would he be the type to hold your chin, your cheek, or your jaw as he kisses you? Maybe even the back of your neck, if you were lucky. You wanted to find out…
Slapping your hands to your face, you silently tell yourself to snap out of it.
He looks over at you, alarmed. “Did you just hit yourself?”
“I thought I felt a fly.”
“On both cheeks?”
“A fly on one side and a mosquito on the other.”
Rin’s brows shoot up before he shakes his head, knowing sometimes, it’s better not to question your logic. “Okay.”
Slowly, the scene escalates from a couple of gentle kisses to the characters taking each other’s shirts off.
Your eyes widen as your gaze is forced away once again.
“Hey. What the hell is this rated?” Rin coughs, his voice strangled. “Aren’t your parents home?”
Through your embarrassment, you glance at him in surprise. Did he really sound flustered just then? So Rin really does have the capacity to feel normal human emotions after all.
“Um, PG-13, I t-think,” you stammer, painfully aware of the actors continuing to make out topless on the television. “My parents are gone for the weekend, anyway.”
“Oh.”
It’s not until the scene is over that you and Rin both let out a sigh of relief, as if the tension could finally escape your bodies. You sink into the cushions, glad that you and Rin decided to sit on opposite sides of the couch. Otherwise, you would’ve been even more aware of his presence and curious about his kiss.
Neither are good things to focus on.
When the movie ends, you wipe away a stray tear at the conclusion. Of course, Rin was right about the entire plot, but that didn’t make it any less amazing.
“So, what’s your rating?” you ask once the credits finish rolling.
“For a movie that’s not horror, maybe a four.”
“Damn, tough crowd,” you say with a tsk. “I loved it! I would give it at least an eight.”
“You’re too generous,” retorts Rin. “What’s your summary?”
You rattle off the happenings of the movie from start to finish, even going so far as to talk about your favorite moments.
When you finish talking, Rin nods, looking pleased with himself. “So you understand. We didn’t even use Japanese subtitles.”
“You’re right!” you exclaim, eyes full of excitement as you exchanged glances with him. “I’m definitely ready for the exam! I feel so much more confident in English comprehension already.”
“Told you you’d pass with me as your tutor.”
“I haven’t passed yet!”
“But you will,” he says, his tone overly-confident. He would be insufferably arrogant if he didn’t have the skills to back it up. Luckily for him, he did. “Soon, I won’t need to tutor you anymore.”
A barely-there frown crosses your face at the reminder.
Would there be no reason to see each other outside of school once you passed the class?
Something about that unsettles you.
Minutes of silence pass before Rin waves his hand in front of your face. “Hello?”
You swallow, forcing a smile. You don’t need to be thinking about that right now. “Sorry, I just spaced out there.”
“I can tell,” he says, somewhat amused. “It is getting late, maybe you need some sleep.”
That isn’t the case, but you nod in agreement.
“I’ll head home, then,” Rin states, standing up and slipping his jacket on. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
You wave, walking him to your door and watching him walk away. “See you! And thanks for the help.”
He looks back briefly, raising his hand in acknowledgment and even that single shared glance is enough to send jitters through your body.
Closing the door, you rest your head back and groan. There’s no point in lying to yourself anymore. Not after you literally fantasized about making out with him while he was sitting right next to you.
You have a crush on Rin. And you are so screwed.
“Rin! I passed! Look, look!” you exclaim, holding your test paper out excitedly.
Class just ended and the teacher handed you your text back with a swift, “Nice job.” That might’ve been the best compliment you received in this class all year.
Naturally, the first person you wanted to show it off to was the one who helped you get the grade in the first place, Rin.
He pauses at your desk, peering closely at the grade on your test and nodding once. His lips are turned up in the slightest smile and he ruffles the top of your head.
“You did it,” he says.
You smooth down your hair, trying not to pay too much attention to how nice and warm his hand was. “All thanks to you.”
“I know.” Rin begins to walk to his next class and you follow along, bouncing on the balls of your feet nervously. “You did good too, I suppose”
“Gee, thanks,” you remark dryly. Still, an excited cheer comes out of you. “I don’t need to stay after graduation! How great is that?”
“You can enjoy your summer before we are thrown into adulthood.”
“I know!” you chirp. “And I really couldn’t have done it without you. Hey, how about… Never mind.”
Rin pauses, hanging around the hallway instead of entering his next lesson. He lifts an eyebrow in question. “How about what?”
The words get stuck in your throat as you open your mouth, your nerves getting the better of you. You aren’t someone who finds it easy to confess, and you know Rin’s track record with confessions isn't exactly great.
Yet, you want to ride the momentum of this excitement and ask. It’s now or never.
You take a deep breath before you ask, “How about I treat you to some dinner this Saturday? You know— As a thank you for your help.”
You can barely look Rin in the eye as he stares at you, cheeks dusted pink.
“I told you before we started you don’t need to give me anything in return,” he insists.
Immediately, your face falls. Of course, he would say no. At least he sugarcoated it for you instead of his typical cutthroat rejections…
“But, we can still get dinner this Saturday.”
You lift your head in surprise.
“It’ll be my treat, though.”
You blink. “Like a…? As in a…?”
Rin’s brows furrow at your nonsensical mutterings. “A what?”
“A…”
“Can you say it already?”
“A date?” you blurt.
He snorts, shaking his head in amusement. “Now, was that so hard to say?”
You pout at his teasing, sticking your lower lip out as he chuckles. “Hey. Don’t be mean.”
“Sorry,” he amends, though his smirk tells you he’s not actually sorry. “The answer is yes.”
“Huh?”
“It’s a date.”
“Really?!” you ask, unable to contain your excitement. Before he can even reply, you bounce closer to him, throwing your arms around his waist as giving him a hug.
He stiffens for a moment before slowly returning your embrace. Rin’s hand rests on the small of your back and you want nothing more than to stay like this.
Until the bell rings and snaps some sense into you.
You jolt at the sudden ring and Rin coughs to hiss his embarrassment at the public display of affection.
“Oh, shit! I’m late. So late,” you cry, holding the strap of your book bag and spinning around frantically. “Bye, Rin! Let’s talk about our date after school!”
“I’ll see you after practice then,” he calls out as you run off. “We can plan it while I walk you home.”
Your cheeks heat up and you feel thankful he can’t see the embarrassment evident in your expression. Who knew Rin could be smooth like that? Saying he’ll take you out on a date and walk you home today so casually?
It’s another side of him you want to get to know more about.
There are times he can be an asshole, and honest to the point of being uncaring. But he’s also surprisingly nice at times. And even patient. You hope the next layer for you to unravel, which is perhaps the most exciting of all, is to learn how Rin is as a boyfriend.
You giggle to yourself at the thought. Would he be teasing and mean? Or doting and affectionate? Maybe a bit of both.
Shaking your head, you stop yourself from fantasizing. It’s just one date, that doesn’t mean he’s your boyfriend yet. But you’re in no rush. The most fun part is the journey it takes to get there.

“slut!” ──★ ˙🍓 ̟

it was disgusting, absolutely, disgusting how rin itoshi felt about you.
all warm and fuzzy and peaceful; ugh, it filled him with pure dread, thinking back to it. so tender and vulnerable under your gaze, mind flustered and woozy from your continuous giggles and twiddling fingers and anxious glances— as if you were scared of him.
really, he’s more scared of you. like a spider, caught between a screaming child— with no escape and a simple groan of weary resignation to utter death. however, unlike the spiders, he wasn’t going to give up. not without a fight against your stupid flushed cheeks that made rin’s stomach flutter. he needed to throw up, of course.
it was so much worse because you were such good friends— childhood friends, at that. so it wasn’t as simple as just ignoring you, his mother wouldn’t allow that. rin would rather die than go against his mother.
“do i have something on my face?” okay, so yes, his only way to fight was a “try not to blink” game with an, oblivious, you— except it was, really, just him staring at you, menacingly. and, yes, it was at a social gathering, in public, with other people all around you. all to intimidate you, obviously.
“what— no.” unbelievable, he thought. you weren’t even going to try and hide your defeat. how could he expect anything more from someone so lukewarm.
“why are you looking at me like that, then?” you ask, head tilting to the side in genuine confusion, a drink in your hand that was long forgotten when you started your conversation with rin.
“we’re fighting.”
“we are?”
“yes.”
used to his antics, you simply nod, taking a sip of your glass of wine— eyes never leaving his. oh, so now you’re joining in? this was totally unfair, rin thought, you had a clear advantage with that gaze of yours. making him sick to his stomach, but unable to look anywhere else. at this point, he’s losing.
“why are we fighting, may i ask?”
“need to prove something.”
“to who?”
“myself.”
so, you stand there. under his watchful gaze, that’s only, really, focusing on your face. it was odd how, completely, unawkward you were, letting him analyse you. catching his gaze, you notice a pattern in his looks; going from your hair, trailing down to your left eye, then the other one, landing on your lips and nose and cheeks— and every small characteristic on your face. you, only, just realised how close he was— your neck having to crane up to look at him, which immediately creates a flush onto your ears.
with that, your looker nods to himself, slowly moving his gaze to the food on the bar. and, that was it.
but, as rin walked to the food, everyone else noticed the blush adorning his cheeks. this was bad.

thinking about men who honestly adore the good girls. it’s not like they don’t like a bit of brattiness here and there, but they love how easy you make things for them, looking up at them with adoration and submission.
you’re so pretty like this, your legs spread open for him as he slides his cock in and out of your eager hole with your pretty whimpers and whines sending butterflies through his stomach. he loves that you can give up control around him, that you feel safe and comfortable with him.
“y’so pretty..” he mutters in adoration, his hand grazing over your neck and down to your chest like he’s admiring a piece of art, “such a good girl, taking me so well.”
he loves praising you, telling you how pretty you look, how good you’re being for him. he especially loves the way your pussy clenches around his cock every time he spills a gentle praise from his lips. he knows exactly what it does to you.
he’ll never leave you hanging, either. no, he couldn’t do that when the one thing he loves most when it comes to sex with you was the way you came undone beneath him. the way you cry out his name and pull him closer makes his cock throb against your walls, his own white pleasure hitting him.
“you’re always such a good girl f’me.”, he says with a soft smile, rubbing gentle circles on your bare skin as you come down from you high, shying away as he praises you for the millionth time tonight. just the way you liked.

i hate mischaracterizing characters, so for anyone who wants these, here are some facts/implied info about characters:
isagi is a loner and often skips out on parties and social events. this is because of how shy and awkward he is around other people and loud environments. (light novel, implied in the manga)
it’s impossible for nagi to hate anyone. even if someone is constantly making him work hard or taking his phone and games away, he is always calm and a pacifist. (egoist bible, implied in the manga)
rin is extremely kind and emotional under his stoic and emo exterior. he gives foreign tourists extremely detailed directions and is implied to be a good captain. (light novel, implied in the manga)
rin is also academically stupid in everything other than english. this is because he’s dead set on being a soccer player and therefore sees no point in any class other than english. (light novel)
karasu loves anything he finds special. he thinks that even rin and isagi are mediocre even though their blue lock’s number one, but he had a childhood crush on the only person he found special, a girl named marissa. (egoist bible)
sae doesn’t realize that he’s rude or has any malicious intent when he’s being an asshole. he just says what’s on his mind, no matter how mean or blunt. it’s confirmed that he does have friends, so he’s probably not always like this. (egoist bible, manga)

ZOOOO CUTE
Notes: I got inspired by @neeeooon work about the blue lock boys as the zodiac's from Fruits Basket. Shoutout to them hehe. I also wanted to write something for Reo and Nagi after that traumatic chapter huhu. Enjoy!
"Hmm...it's really cold today. Maybe some hot chocolate drink would be good."
You muttered to yourself, looking down at your grumbling belly. It had been a few hours since you had your breakfast, so you decided to head to the cafeteria to get atleast some snacks and beverages.
The moment you entered the kitchen, you were bombarded with a shocking image.
There was a sloth hanging itself on one of the chairs, snoring away and under said chair was a lion cub, also slumbering away, laying on his back, exposing his tummy.
"What the..."
What the hell? Were you high or something? This must be a dream right?
Rubbing your eyes, you were proven to be wrong as the sloth and lion cub were still there.
And then you were panicking. Where did these two come from?! From your knowledge, lion cubs are never separated from their pride since it is dangerous for them. Meanwhile, sloths are usually in the trees.
Well, there were trees surrounding the facility, but you are sure that there are no lions or sloths living in them. In fact, the two animals are not even native to Japan!
So why are there two wild animals just chilling in the Blue Lock Cafeteria?!
Looking closely, you notice that the sloth has fluffy white fur that was pretty long and was dragging itself on the chair, causing wild hair to fly.
Thats gotta be a hassle to clean.
The lion, meanwhile, has a pretty purple coat. One that made you side eye. Lions are NOT purple as far as you knew.
'Did they escape from a zoo somewhere? That's the only explanation...Aww, the poor cub, maybe it was forced to die its fur for the sake of people's entertainment. How cruel!'
You found yourself slowly approaching the two animals. A little wary, knowing that even if you are larger than them, they are still wide animals that can possibly hurt you.
Seeing as the sloth is starting to wake up, you backed off from the animal. You knew that their sharp claws are their main weapon and if not handled well, can dig deep in your skin and injure you.
"Hey, little buddy... sorry to interrupt your sleep. But I think you and your friend got lost your way in here."
"Y/n-chan...? Help us..."
The sloth spoke or rather whined, raising its arms as if asking you to pick it up.
Wait...spoke?
'Haha right...spoke. I'm definitely dreaming...This isn't some Disney movie...right?'
"Y/n-chan...! Me and Nagi can explain-"
The purple lion cub woke up, and trudged its way to your legs, standing on its hind legs before grabbing your own, nails gently clawing at your pants.
"Oh my god! WHAT THE HELL?!"
"So let me get this straight...the reason Hakuho is a private school is because...their students are cursed to turn into random animals?!"
You felt like the world just lied to you, as you looked at the sloth and lion or rather - Nagi and Reo, respectively. They just explained to you the reason as to why they became talking animals.
Supposedly, there are some people who are cursed to turn into animals whenever they feel certain emotions. With Nagi, it was hunger, and Reo's was nervousness.
"Yeah...it can get pretty wild."
"Right...so when Nagi gets too hungry and you get too nervous, you turn into animals..?"
"Yep...its a hassle...I was just about to eat too..."
Nagi sighed, looking down at the neatly folded clothes beside you. You found their clothes lying about in another part of the cafeteria, where they transformed.
"Wait...if Nagi was so hungry he turned into a sloth. What got you so nervohs to turn into one as well, Reo?"
The lion looked shy for a second, clearing his throat before speaking.
"I...well, it was the first time any of us transformed! So when Nagi turned into one and I heard your footsteps, I couldn't help it."
"Oh..."
Then a chuckle left your mouth as you started to scratch a spot beside Reo's ears, which amde the cub purr.
'So cute!'
"So, how do you guys turn back? You do know you both have a shared practice with the rest later with Ego-san, right?"
"..."
"..."
"AWW you both are so cute! Too bad you both can't play~"
Charles pat the two, his tone so condescending that it pissed of the Reo, who scratched at his hand, which of course made the French yelp in pain.
"Rude!"
"Get your filthy hands off the fur! We're not your pets."
Reo sassed, yet he nor Nagi would only just roll and purr when you run your hands through them. They had favouritism, and they know. But do they care? Nah.
"Just when I thought this lazy asshole could not get anymore useless."
Barou commented as he sneered at the sloth who was just plopped like a starfish on your lap, enjoying the attention you gave him.
"Shut up, king. Continue being jealous I get to rest while being with Y/n-chan..."
"HAH!? SAY THAT TO MY FACE YOU-"
"Barou-san...please don't fight and head off to the field before Ego-san gets mad."
You interfered, hugging sloth Nagi, who hugged you back with his long arms. Barou sighed at that, knowing that he can never say no to you.
"Bleh..."
Nagi stuck his tongue at the king wannabe before turning to you, with an innocent face, which translated well on his sloth form's face making you smile brighter, patting the sloth's head even more.
The players were definitely shocked to see two of their competitors incapacitated for the practice due to their...odd predicament. However, seeing as Ego seemed to already know of this, they were given an excuse to not participate the practice because according to his words:
"You two idiots will only destroy the balls with your claws. Blue Lock does not have enough budget for that bullshit."
Yeah...he could have said it more nicely.
But the only good side was that they got to spend their time with you! And they capitalized it hard. Nagi was clinging to you, arms and legs wrapped around your neck and waist. While Reo was on your lap, wagging his tail happily at the attention.
This, of course pissed off all the players who got to see the position those two were at.
"Bastards. They're enjoying this too much." Barou rolled his eyes.
"Pfft, Nagi got you good though earlier." Isagi chuckled, which only made the Ubers' player even more mad, cursing at the ravenette striker.
"They're kinda cute, though. Can't say the same when they're in their human form." Niko shrugged, which made a certain lion cub glare at him. Welp, not like he cared about a premature predator that can't even roar like a man.
"If I was an animal, I'd probably be a phoenix." Otoya smirked mischievously, to which Karasu only rolled his eyes.
"Nah, you'd fit being a rat better, asshole."
"Hey!"
"Pfft, that is so mean! The rats don't deserve such comparison." Bachira laughed to which made the albino haired striker even more mad.
"Hah?! Oi blondie-"
"The rat has to be Kaiser. His hair alone says it all." Lorenzo mocked, which made the New Gen 11 Striker walk up to him.
"Say it to my face, you creep."
The chaos continued until you did something that made everyone's jaw dropped simultaneously, like they practiced it.
"You both are so cute...!" You squealed at the two players turned animals, who unintentionally made cute faces at you.
Not finding the strength to hold back anymore, you leaned down and gave the both of them kisses on the forehead and cheeks. You are not the most affectionate person there is, but when it comes to animals, you most certainly melt for their cuteness.
Lion Reo and Sloth Nagi were no exception to this.
And needless to say, no one was happy about this other than you.
"This is going to give me a heart attack." Yukimiya fixed his cracked glasses.
"Hello, darkness, my old friend... I come to talk with you again." Otoya started singing like some cringe emo edgelord.
"Ugh, you're so annoying, Otoya. Shut your mouth for once." Chigiri rolled his eyes and pushed the boy's head away.
"Google, How do you turn into an animal?" Bachira asked seriously on his phone.
"If there is a god out there, please turn those two back to normal as soon as possible." Shidou muttered on his knees on the field to which Rin just blinked at before kicking his side, making the blonde fall face first on the grass.
"This is just chaos... I wish I was in their position. Maybe I'd finally have peace on my life." Hiori said, looking at the content Reo and Nagi, who was blushing and enjoying the attention you gave them.
What an interesting Monday after all.
ADDITIONAL TIME:

"You guys are so damn immature." Rin rolled his eyes at the explosion that happened on Twitter because of the chains of post from the others.
"Its called being truthful, Rin-rin." Shidou laughed, typing his own response.
"You guys couldn't even do it on a private account?" Yukimiya asked, to which Otoya just pat his back.
"We're men! When you say something, you have to own up to it!"
"Don't hate me cause you ain't me, losers." Reo, who already turned back into his human form stuck his tongue out.
We are so back gais AHHHH Fun fact: I chose sloth and lion because theyre Nagi and Reo's fav animals respectively.

Itoshi Rin x Reader !
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
"Always Been You"
When Sae left, everyone else left too.
Teammates, classmates, even the teachers who used to brag about having "the Itoshi brothers" at their school... they all stopped caring once the older Itoshi disappeared overseas. Rin never talked about it, but you could see it in his eyes — that heavy, bitter loneliness he tried to hide under layers of coldness.
But you stayed.
Even when he shut down, even when the smiles you used to know disappeared completely from his face — you stayed.
You stayed when he barely spoke.
You stayed when he trained for hours.
You stayed when the only thing he seemed to care about was surpassing Sae.
You stayed because somewhere between all those years of running after him on the playground and trading snacks after soccer practice, Rin had become a part of you. He was stubborn and cold and sometimes frustrating beyond belief, but he was also Rin — your Rinnie.
And you weren't going to give up on him.
High school came and went in a blur of exams and training camps. Rin's name started to spread — the "prodigy little brother of Sae," the "future of Japanese soccer" — and you watched him grow taller, sharper, more distant from everyone else.
Everyone except you.
Somehow, even when the rest of the world saw Itoshi Rin as untouchable, you could still see the boy who isn't good at calligraphy, the boy who liked owls, the boy who never quite forgave his brother for leaving.
Still, things changed in ways you couldn't control. You weren't just "childhood friends" anymore. Not to you, at least.
Your heart started beating differently around him. Faster. Louder.
It was in the small things — the way your chest tightened when Rin grabbed your wrist to drag you to practice like he used to when you were kids. The way you caught yourself staring at him longer than you should. The way you smiled without meaning to when he mumbled your name under his breath, like a secret only meant for you.
You never told him. Of course you didn’t.
Because Rin had enough to deal with.
Because Rin probably didn't feel the same.
Because if you lost him too, you weren’t sure you could handle it.
So you buried it. Just like you always did.
One winter afternoon, you found him at the empty soccer field where he always practiced when he needed to be alone. Snow flurries danced through the cold air, coating the ground in a thin sheet of white. You tightened your scarf around your neck and made your way over to him, your boots crunching softly in the snow.
He didn't look up when you approached, just kept juggling the ball with mechanical precision, like he was trying to erase every thought from his mind except soccer.
"Rin," you called softly.
He caught the ball under his foot and finally turned to look at you. His hair was damp with sweat despite the freezing weather, his breath puffing out in little white clouds.
"You'll get sick," you said, frowning as you reached into your bag. You pulled out a thermos and held it out to him. "Here."
Rin stared at the thermos for a moment before taking it wordlessly. His gloved fingers brushed yours — a fleeting touch, but enough to make your heart stutter.
"It's hot chocolate," you added, feeling oddly shy. "You used to like it."
"I still do," he muttered, almost too quiet to hear.
You stood there in silence for a moment, watching as he took a small sip. His expression softened ever so slightly — barely noticeable to anyone else, but you caught it. You always did.
"You didn’t have to come," he said after a while, his voice low.
"I wanted to," you replied simply. "I always will."
Rin's fingers tightened around the thermos.
"You’re always doing that," he said, almost accusingly. "Staying."
You blinked. "Of course. Why wouldn't I?"
He didn't answer right away. His gaze dropped to the snow at his feet, his jaw clenching like he was fighting himself.
"Everyone else leaves," he finally said, so quietly you barely caught it. "You don't."
You stepped closer, close enough that you could see the small flecks of snow caught in his dark lashes.
"I’m not everyone else, Rin," you whispered. "And I'm not going anywhere."
The air between you crackled with something unspoken. Something heavy and aching and real.
Slowly, Rin lifted his head to look at you. Really look at you.
For a moment, you saw something raw in his eyes — fear, longing, hope — all tangled together in a way that made your chest ache.
And then, so slowly it felt like the world might stop spinning, he reached out and brushed a stray snowflake from your hair. His fingers lingered against your cheek, tentative, almost trembling.
"You idiot," he muttered, voice rough. "You stayed too long."
Your heart hammered against your ribs. "Rin—"
Before you could finish, he leaned down and pressed his forehead against yours. Not a kiss. Not yet. Just a quiet, desperate kind of closeness, like he was trying to memorize the feeling of you.
"I don't know how to do this," he confessed, the words a broken whisper against your skin. "But if you stay... I'll figure it out."
You closed your eyes, breathing him in — the cold, the faint scent of his shampoo, the undeniable warmth of him.
"I'll stay," you promised, voice shaking. "As long as it takes."
When you finally opened your eyes, Rin was already looking at you like you hung the stars.
And for the first time in a long, long time, Rin smiled.
A small, broken, beautiful smile — just for you.
Slowly. Carefully. Like you had all the time in the world, he leaned in and pressed his lips to your forehead.
Not a kiss fueled by desperation.
Not a goodbye kiss.
But a beginning.
A slow, burning beginning.
Just the way it was always meant to be.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Rin is kinda ooc here.. I don't actually know if he likes hot chocolate or not, but lets just say he likes it for this oneshot heheh. Thank you sm for reading!! Feel free to request more :))

hihi can i request how the media would react if they found out the bllk boys were married (itoshi brothers, kaiser, and whoever else you want)
ty, have a good day/night
“#𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐲𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐬𝐬”
a/n: this is a whole new idea and i love it! also thank you, have a good day/night as well!!!
a/n #2: who let them get married (and how do i get that lucky)
ft. itoshi rin, itoshi sae, kaiser michael, isagi yoichi, bachira meguru, mikage reo, nagi seishiro, karasu tabito
itoshi rin
the world stops spinning when it leaks that rin married you. nobody can compute it. no one.
he’s trending #1 globally with hashtags like #rinwifereveal #iceprincetaken.
confused fans everywhere are asking the real questions: “how did he propose if he only speaks in death threats?”
old clips of rin ignoring interviewers go viral again: “this man?? THIS MAN found a WIFE???”
his agency posts a really dry statement like: “itoshi rin is married. he will continue his professional activities as usual.”
the comments are gold – you getting praised like some mythological heroine: “if you married rin itoshi and lived to tell the tale, you deserve a national holiday.”
when asked about you at a press conference, rin’s response is peak rin: “it’s none of your business.”
but people notice he wears his wedding ring 24/7 and once smiled (barely) when someone said “your wife,” and fans LOST it.
you are now officially worshiped as the woman who melted the glacier.
itoshi sae
the media genuinely thinks it’s a typo when they find out sae married you. like itoshi sae??? able to love someone other than a soccer ball??? there’s no way he had the social skills for marriage.
headlines are so petty: “itoshi sae ties the knot: sources unsure if he even likes people.”
the sports tabloids zoom into old clips of him smirking mid-match like: “he must’ve been thinking about his wife 🫢”
memes explode overnight: “you: babe, can you smile for the wedding pics? sae: raises one eyebrow slightly”
your first public sighting together is chaotic. he’s pushing a grocery cart with a dead-eyed look while you’re happily picking snacks.
paparazzi snap a blurry photo, and boom: “breaking: itoshi sae domesticated.”
he literally never posts you (for privacy reasons), but when you post a picture of him cuddling you while half-asleep, fans combust: “WAIT he’s a softie for her ONLY???? iconic behavior.”
kaiser michael
he announces your marriage like a mic drop. the german media especially loses their minds.
posts a wedding photo with you on instagram, captioned: “still undefeated. married the hottest woman alive.”
media outlets around the world are scrambling to write articles fast enough.
magazines call you "the only trophy kaiser cares about.”
he does interviews where he says stuff like: “yeah, she’s my best win yet.”
every fan either: 1) cries about losing their delusions, or 2) makes memes of you carrying kaiser bridal-style after his matches.
during games, opponents will yell at him: “your wife’s watching, pretty boy!”
and kaiser just smirks, scores, and points to you in the stands like he’s in a movie.
you literally make him even cockier. he’s insufferable. but also hot about it.
isagi yoichi
the media basically short-circuits when they find out you’re married to him. like, nice boy next door isagi? married already???
they treat it like a scandal: “in today’s shocking development, yoichi isagi – japan’s golden boy – is officially off the market. hearts across the world have shattered.”
twitter is in absolute shambles: “NO WAY isagi’s MARRIED. i thought he was married to FOOTBALL 😭”
and you? you’re just living your best life, chilling while isagi is out here holding your hand proudly at press events like you’re his MVP.
he’s answering interviews all starry-eyed: “yeah! i love my wife! she’s the real reason i win games.”
you even get your own nickname in the press: "japan’s first lady of football.”
whenever you post a picture together, comments are like: “she’s the real endgame. we lost, but we lost to a queen 😭👑”
bachira meguru
everyone immediately falls in love with you, too. like, duh. you’re the perfect match for chaotic sunshine incarnate.
bachira’s announcement? just a pic of you both wearing matching crocs, captioned: “leveled up 💍🎮💖”
every comment is crying about how cute it is.
fans imagine the proposal like: “if i score 3 goals today, will you marry me? 😜”
he makes finger hearts at you from the field. sometimes he even dabs after scoring because you dared him to.
sports anchors have to explain “dab celebrations” on national TV now because of you two.
people call you “his player 2” and it’s so iconic that a brand tries to sponsor you both for matching gamer jerseys.
mikage reo
the media is CONVINCED it was some sort of billionaire merger. tabloids lose their minds speculating about your “secret heiress” identity.
but really? you’re just you. you married reo because he’s a clingy, golden retriever boy that genuinely loves you and treats you well.
he’s so defensive about it in interviews: “it’s not about money!! she’s literally perfect, end of discussion.”
still, fans are clowning: “reo mikage gave up his entire inheritance for his wife. love wins 😭”
reo keeps trying to pretend your life together is “normal” but then slips up like: “yeah, we took the jet to brunch lol.”
you constantly remind him not to flex, but it’s a losing battle. he just loves spoiling you too much.
he wears his wedding ring loudly like it’s a flex on single people.
nagi seishiro
no one is surprised. like, yeah. obviously nagi would get married to his first love.
he reposts a wedding pic you posted because he can’t be bothered making his own announcement.
interviewers ask, “what made you want to settle down?” and he goes: “she’s comfy. i love her.”
fans sob at the simplicity: “nagi just EXISTED and found true love while i’m out here struggling 😭”
you are considered the ultimate cozy queen by the fanbase.
nagi refers to you as “home” and it’s so casually romantic that everyone melts.
he basically just plays games, cuddles you, and naps, living the dream.
karasu tabito
he trolls the entire internet with your marriage reveal.
he posts: “sorry ladies, taken for life 💍🤪” with the hashtag #wifedup.
every comment is roasting him: “you????? married?????? how???”
no one believes him. not until you both post matching wedding rings with the caption: “teamwork makes the dream work 🫶”
sports reporters really don't know if it’s real or just karasu being karasu.
but it doesn’t change the fact that you and karasu become an iconic couple overnight.
karasu’s new favorite hobby is pretending to be a “wife guy” on twitter for clout. like he’ll fake cry on twitter about missing “the single life” while literally posting pictures of you two cuddling under captions like: “can’t go out tonight, gotta watch kdramas with my wife 💔”
fans call you "the MVP who finally fouled karasu’s heart.”
somehow you two are both chaotic and goals at the same time.
though media outlets are still confused whether to take him seriously because karasu’s like a walking clickbait article: “is he joking? is he not? find out on the next episode of karasu being karasu.”

spilled coffee & stolen hearts
chapter 8: eyes on the prize itoshi!
you’d always heard people say that rin itoshi was a monster on the field, but seeing it in person? yeah, that was something else.
from the second the match started, he was locked in — sharp movements, precise passes, and a level of control that had the crowd going wild. it was like he was everywhere at once, shutting down the other team before they could even think about scoring.
but in between all of that — between the tackles and the laser-focused footwork — you swore you caught him glancing your way.
the first time, you thought you imagined it.
the second time, you figured he was just scanning the stands.
but by the fourth time — when his eyes flicked toward you for a split second before turning back to the ball — you knew it wasn’t random.
it wasn’t like he smiled or anything (you weren’t sure rin even knew how to smile), but there was something there. like he was checking — just making sure you were still watching.
“he’s good, huh?” someone beside you said, clearly noticing how your gaze never strayed from him.
“yeah,” you muttered, eyes locked on rin as he weaved through defenders like it was nothing. “he’s insane.”
and maybe it was just your imagination, but you swore you saw the corner of rin’s mouth twitch upward before he sent the ball flying into the back of the net.

note: thank you so much for the request!! ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ ) it means a lot to me and i hope you like this!! <3 first time writing rin and it's nerve-wracking

rin itoshi didn’t know how to ask the question. it was so intimate, too intimate— and you, surely, weren’t going to ask him first. it didn’t seem that way anyway.
he tried to give you a hint in any way he could.
rin started hanging out with your younger cousins more often, and, genuinely, took care of them whenever he could. he started sending you those cute baby tiktoks you like— the ones that start with ‘what my baby eats in a day’. he, even, went as far as lingering, longer than necessary, at the baby clothes when both of you went shopping.
but even after everything rin, so obviously, did— you never noticed.
the last thing he could do was ask you, straight up. and, even though, you’ve been married for years, rin still became flustered at, even, the idea of doing so. out of timidity, he let the question sit at the back of his mind, always humming but never singing.
until, that one morning.
you were awake, rin could tell from your fluttering lashes and frown that reacted to the sunlight blaring into the bedroom. your hand, naturally, trailed to his, finding it on top of the covers. during the summer, rin tended to move away from you in bed— for your sake. you, once, told him that you hated the feeling of sweaty skin, and from that day on he stirred away from you whenever it got hot. so when you finally did awake, he was the first thing you looked for.
“let’s have a baby.”
the words spilled from his mouth quicker than his thoughts. he couldn’t help it. you looked so calm and tranquil and he’s wanted it for so long and you made his mind all foggy and jumbled up.
rin started panicking at your silence— his palms became sweaty, which he knows you, immediately, noticed, and he couldn’t move his gaze away from you. your eyes were still closed, but at rin’s words there was the smallest hint of a smile. rin hoped— no, prayed it was the good kind of smile.
“you want a baby, with me?” did you think he was joking? your tone of voice sounded like you did.
“i’m being serious.” his frown deepened, trying to figure out what you were thinking, “i want a baby with you,” your eyes peeled open at that seal of affirmation, looking up at rin, who was already gazing at you, pleadingly.
too shocked to say anything, you simply nodded. rin, on the other hand, had the slightest trace of a smile on his face.
you only find out years later, but that’s the happiest rin’s ever felt.
