hi guys here is your DAILY REMINDER!!!! that the only people mephone4 has ever felt love or kindness from except for MePad were not real!!! And now MePad hates him!!! And he doesnt know about social context and struggles saying "sorry" so when he tried to explain himself he just made everyone hate him more!!! And then before he could even do anything about it they all died or just vanished out of existence in front of his eyes!!! And Cobs is saying "i forgive you" and MePhone4 now feels that he's done something bad!!! Now hes being told or implied that running away and saving himself was the wrong thing to do!!! you guys ever can’t tell if you kin a character or need them more? damien’s been rotting my brain recently.

(excuse my projecting for a little) he’s aware of so much of the injustice in the magical world; and he’s passionate about it. but everyone keeps mistaking his passion for justice as anger. the world, the environment he’s in frightens him. the injustice he’s witnessed time and time again, towards the people he cares about the most is exhausting and frustrating. he burns with the desire to help all the people this magical society keeps pushing aside.

but all people will ever see is that he’s “angry”.

but that’s not all it is! he wants change. he wants to believe in something, he wants to believe in people, he wants to have some trust in the systems he’s under but because he wants it so badly he’s “aggressive”. he’s “hostile”. he’s “grumpy”. they even say he has a “bad attitude”.

nobody wants to work with him because he keeps getting “angry”.

so now he’s growing more and more isolated. he looks to his left and to his right and no one seems to care as much as he does. everyone at the top just sees him as some kind of number or statistic. his fellow numbers think he’s insane for caring so much.

but why does everyone care so little?? people are hurt?? people are being silenced, people are ignored, lives are being destroyed — at the worst of it people are dying. and no one is doing anything about it! is he really insane for wanting life to be easier for everyone when it literally has no reason to be this difficult??

is that not enough reason to be upset? doesn’t he have a right to be angry??

you know what fine. he can’t control how people feel right? nothing’s gained from sitting around and feeling sorry for yourself so he picks himself up and charges towards the society he aims for. he keeps his record spotless, he achieves everything he needs to, he breaks himself in half so that his friends, family, future generations will be a step closer to something easier. he can honour those before him who got him this far and pass the baton to those who come next.

then one watery fucking twink. with no aspirations. with his pessimistic, apathetic, nihilism, fucks up his pristine plans.

he can feel everything he put into this, crash and burn in his hands (at the hands of a water elemental no less). how could he have been so careless?? how did he let this slip?? he held everything together so well before and this guy ruined it without a second thought.

he didn’t care. he was willing to let everything go to ruin. he left everybody for themselves - he didn’t believe in any sort of community or empowerment, hell he probably had some hatred to all those people damien was trying so hard to fucking help. pretentious douchebag — kody thought he was better than everybody else.

so yes. he’s angry.

he hates the stereotypes. he hates the relentless teasing. he hates the whispers and the side eyes when the fire elemental shows even an ounce of irritation.

but he was finally giving in. he was finally falling right into the hands of what he wanted to avoid. to the injustice he frowned upon.

you happy now? yes, he is fucking angry. why the hell aren’t you?

My Top 5 Favorite Plot Twists from The Legend of Zelda series

*Beware of spoilers for the following games: The Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword and A Link Between Worlds

5) The Mask is Alive - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Majora's Mask has always been applauded as one of the darkest games in the series along with Twilight Princess. The story follows Link as he finds himself trapped in the land of Termina after being robbed by the Skull Kid - who takes his Ocarina and "gets rid" of his precious horse, Epona. Throughout the game, you are told that Skull Kid changed after stealing the evil relic known as the Majora's Mask from the Happy Mask Salesman and with it, has caused catastrophes around the four regions surrounding Termina. During the final confrontation atop the Clock Tower to stop the moon from falling, Link calls upon the Four Giants to halt the moon crash. There is a momentary celebration between characters Tatl and Tael, where Tael explains that Skull Kid is not to be blamed. While Tatl and Tael go back and forth about this argument of whether or not Skull Kid should be held responsible, Majora interrupts, saying "He had far too many weaknesses to use my power." it's then that Majora detaches itself from Skull Kid's face, refusing to admit defeat and challenging Link to face him inside the Moon. Not only confirming that Skull Kid wasn't entirely to blame for his actions, but that Majora's mask itself, is sentient.

4) The King of Red Lions (and Tetra's True Identity) - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Wind Waker is one of those Zelda games that got hit with - what I like to call - the "Pokemon Effect". Where a game is subjected to heavy backlash upon release but is heralded as a true treasure in later years. Despite the initial hatred for its cartoon art style and repetitive gameplay, Wind Waker is and has always been one of my favorite Zelda games in terms of lore. Wind Waker takes place in the Adult Era of the Timeline. Which - if you really follow the Official Timeline - is after the events of Ocarina of Time, where adult Link defeats Ganon and he is sealed in the Sacred Realm, thanks to Zelda and the Sages. After this, Zelda sends Link back in time to live out his childhood, essentially removing him from that timeline. But as stated in the intro cutscene of Wind Waker, Ganon eventually returns to resume its dark design and the Hero of Time is nowhere to be found. As a last ditch effort, the Gods flood Hyrule to seal Ganon and the Triforce. The Wind Waker follows Link - not a reincarnation of the previous one - but a Successor, who sails across the sea to save his world from the Resurrected King of Evil, Ganondorf. Accompanying him on this journey is his talking boat, the King of Red Lions. We know nearly nothing about the King of Red Lions up until after revisiting Hyrule Castle below the depths of the sea. It's at this moment that we are hit with two pretty big plot twists. Rewinding a bit to the start of Link's journey, we met Tetra - the leader of a fearsome pirate group who is somewhat responsible for luring a big bird to our peaceful island and causing our sister, Aryll, to get kidnapped. She's this arrogant, pretty bossy, little girl who we grow pretty close with as our journey continues. Now - we're revisiting Hyrule Castle after learning that Tetra's weird necklace resonated with Ganondorf's Triforce of Power, it's here that we learn the reason why. Tetra is none other than Princess Zelda and The King of Red Lions - is the former King of Hyrule.

3) Midna is the Twilight Princess - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Twilight Princess was the first game I've ever seen completed, it was a core memory for me watching my father defeat Zant and Ganondorf at the wee age of 7 years old. It goes without saying that Twilight Princess is one of the most praised games in the series and every emo furry kid's utopia. If you're an older fan of the series, you probably recall seeing Wolf Link AMVs to Evanescence songs. The Golden ages. Anyways. This game follows Link (haha who would've guessed) - Descendant of the Hero of Time - as he journeys across the land of Hyrule, that has been shrouded in the amber saturation filter of Twilight. Accompanying him this time is the little Imp - Midna. Who we meet as a wolf while imprisoned. She says we can be useful on her quest to find the missing pieces of her headpiece, the Twili's ancient relic - The Fused Shadow. After partnering up with Midna, completing the pieces of the Fused Shadow, we learn that we need to go on yet another wild goose chase to collect the Fragments of The Mirror of Twilight. The Mirror of Twilight is the sole link between Hyrule and the Twilight Realm, and Zant has destroyed it. But because he isn't the true ruler of the Twilight Realm, it split into fragments instead of being destroyed entirely. The former Sages apologize to Midna, for it's because of their careless actions that Ganon was able to spread darkness to her world and that Zant is able to distort the land of Hyrule. They ask for her forgiveness, referring to her as the "Twilight Princess"

2) Ravio is Link's Lorulean Counterpart - The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

A Link Between Worlds, released for the Nintendo 3DS was one of the Zelda games that was heavily swept under the rug, overshadowed by Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask 3D Remakes. This game is set many years after A Link to the Past, this time, Link's goal is to save Zelda after she's been nabbed by an evil sorcerer named Yuga who plans on using Zelda's power, along with the power of the Seven Sages to resurrect Ganon. Yuga is from the land of Lorule, a world parallel to Hyrule that is only accessible through rifts. Link cannot travel through these rifts without the help of the magical bracelet that he gets from Ravio, a silly - albeit, very strange guy. Donning a purple bunny hood that covers most of his face, Ravio hails from unknown origin, and turns our house into his pop-up storefront. Throughout the game, we rely on the items from Ravio's shop to complete dungeons, with the sole rule that we rent them from him (but they can later be purchased for permanent use). Ravio is one of those characters where at first glance, you write him off as someone with little to no importance in the game's overall plot. That is until towards the end of the game. After freeing the seven sages, we finally go to save Zelda, only to be confronted by Hilda - The Princess of Lorule and Zelda's Lorulean Counterpart, who's been guiding us for most of our journey. She tells us that she's been deceiving us from the very beginning to get in possession of our Triforce of Courage to help resurrect Ganon. But we are interrupted by Ravio stampeding in and halting the tension, unmasking himself to be Link's Lorulean Counterpart.

1) Ghirahim is the Spirit Within Demise's Sword - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Chronologically, Skyward Sword is the first game in the series' timeline, taking place before the birth of Hyrule Kingdom. The plot follows Link and Zelda, childhood friends and residents of a floating island above the clouds called Skyloft. The people of Skyloft follow a tradition where the students of the academy, use their large bird mounts - Loftwings, to race head to head and snag handkerchief from the leading Loftwing's foot. After this ceremony, the winner gets time alone with the maiden assuming the role of the Goddess Hylia, who is played by Zelda this year. Link, of course, smashes the competition and gets that oh so precious time alone with Zelda, Link gets a pretty cool sailcloth from Zelda and the two go Loftwing riding together. But unfortunately disaster strikes and Zelda is swept below the clouds by a dark tornado. Guided by the strange spirit within a sword named Fi, Link goes below the clouds and encounters Ghirahim, the servant of evil responsible for the dark tornado. Ghirahim is a reoccurring enemy throughout the game, as his goal is to use Zelda's Goddess powers to resurrect his Master. Near the end of the game, Link swats through an entire army of monsters to stop Ghirahim from performing his resurrection ritual. When Link gets there he must face Ghirahim a final time in his shiny "obsidian"-like look. After defeat, Ghirahim laughs, telling Link that regardless, his plan has succeeded and the end of the world is nigh as his Master has returned. Another reoccurring enemy, The Imprisoned, rises up from its seal and assumes its true form - The Demon King, Demise. Ghirahim welcomes Demise on his return to the world and is then hoisted into the air, allowing Demise to painfully pull his blade from Ghirahim's chest and absorb his power into his large dark version of the Master Sword.

That concludes my list, my friends. And before you ask "what about the Sheik reveal", I purposefully refrained from putting that on the list, as it's kinda spoiled for you in a different media "Super Smash Bros". I'd like you guys to tell me what are your personal picks for Zelda plot twists, I know Zelda has a lot so I'm curious. I really did a lot of senseless yapping in this post but I hope it was a nice breeze of comedic relief nonetheless. Until next time. May the Goddess Smile Upon You. 💛

Just a heads up, this is going to be a VERY long post. VERY VERY long. Hopefully anyone reading has enough patience 💗

Btw I am not going to be comparing the songs visuals, because if we were to do that the WE would very easily win every single one. I will also not be mentioning Candyman, as it is placed pretty weirdly. This is simply a comparison of the two cast recordings, West End, and Broadway. There are some other songs you won’t see mentioned, like A Little Me, Charlie, you & I, and The Amazing Fantastical History of Mr. Willy Wonka, either because it’s pretty self explanatory, or because there’s nothing to really compare it too. The random is so small so this very long ramble is prob gona go nowhere lmfao 

First off; 

Almost Nearly Perfect/Willy Wonka! Willy Wonka! 

Yeah this one goes to ANP. WWWW is good for telling the story, and showing the dynamic between Wonka (in disguise at this point) and Charlie, but takes away from the bonding time of Charlie and his family. ANP is also far better at introducing the character of Charlie, and showing that no matter how poor he is, he finds enjoyment in all the little things, while also showing his infatuation with Wonka. 

A Letter from Charlie bucket 

I’m bouta be rlly honest, I dont know for this one. They’re both very similar, besides the fact that Charlie’s father is dead in the Broadway, so I’m gona call this one a tie. 

More of him to Love

Again, more or less the same. This one’s probably a tie too. Although I will mention I actually do prefer the dynamic between Augustus and his mother in the Broadway, even with WE being arguably the superior version. 

When Veruca Says 

Ah yes, one of the most iconic original songs of this musical. Personally I find the Broadway more enjoyable to listen to (specifically because of the Russian accents lmfao) but honestly, the girl as Veruca in the WE recording did arguably better at showing Veruca’s extreme personality. Gotta love Emma Pfaeffle tho. 

Queen of Pop/ The Double Bubble Duchess

Oh my god this is a hard one. They’re both SO CATCHY OH MY GOD. And the actresses are so fucking talented it’s crazy. Although I listen to Queen of Pop more frequently, TDBD is arguably more impressive specifically since Violet is played by a child in this version. So yeah there’s things like that to consider. I enjoy listening to both though.

What could possibly go wrong?/ It’s Teavee Time! 

Yeah this one obviously goes to WE. Mike is easily my favorite character in all adaptations of Catcf, which is why I personally prefer Teavee Time, because it does a great job at introducing Mikes character. WCPGW is funny and all, but it barely tells us anything about Mike. A very common problem with the musical (in both versions) is that they focus more on Mikes mother (this was mainly a problem in the broadway bc she was played by Jackie Hoffman who’s a legend). That’s js my opinion tho.

If your Mother/Father were here 

This one’s actually a lot different from each other, hence Charlie’s father being dead in the Broadway version, so the meaning of the song is sort of shifted. As much as I adore the dead dad ballet sequence in the Broadway, I think the message of If your Mother were here is a little more intriguing, because while IYFWH is reminiscing of a dead husband/father, IYMWH features both the parents and seems to be saying that because of the Buckets family/social situation, it’s very easy for Mr and Mrs Bucket to feel incredibly distant from each other. That’s all I will say about that 

I’ve got a Golden Ticket/ Doncha Pinch me Charlie

I’m going to be so honest I’m not really a fan of either songs, but if I had to choose it would be Doncha Pinch Me Charlie, because it gives Charlie the same spotlight that the other golden ticket winners did in my opinion.

It must be believed to be seen 

Friendly reminder this is NOT about visuals. I actually prefer the Broadway version of the this number. Maybe it’s because of my love for Christian Borle, but for some reason the way he sings it just feels more smooth to me. Also, in the West End, there was like… no backing from the ensemble which I personally enjoyed that aspect of the Broadway a lot, especially the harmonies. I also find the timing of some of the things in the WE (reminder I’m referring to the cast albums) version of this song to be a little bit weirder? If anyone wants further evaluation I can give it, but for now I don’t think I need to. In the end it’s js a certain something about the Broadway that makes it sound better to me ears if yk what I mean. 

Strike that, reverse it 

I think this song does a great job in both musicals!!!! I don’t really have a preference for this one honestly, I feel like both do a very good job at expressing the dynamics between the characters, and Christian Borle and Douglas Hodge both do a great job with this song. Although I’m not a fan of listening to songs with dialogue constantly being interchanged with the music, I think these shows did a very good job with it, and I do actually enjoy this song a lot!!

I do not wanna express my opinion on the placement of Pure Imagination in both versions rn bc I don’t want this post to end up being WAY too long (it alr is but I’m doing what I can, okay? Also yes this means I wont be discussing any of the ending songs bc uhhhh I js don’t rlly feel like it rn. I’ve alr expressed my opinions on a lot of the ending songs before as well) 

Auf Wiedersehen Augustus Gloop

I mean… I’m not really a fan of the way this is done in either version, so I don’t rlly know what to put here, but something I will say that doesn’t rlly have anything to do with my preference is that the little lines Augustus has in this song in the WE has me even more convinced that Augustus barley did anything wrong. 

Juicy/ When Willy met Oompa

Juicy is better I don’t even feel like this needs discussion at all. 

Verucas Nutcracker Sweet 

Okay. Attack me all you want but…. I actually prefer the Broadway. Like storytelling and visually wise I prefer West End, but idk there’s js something about the Broadways more menacing tone that I actually sorta like. I do think tearing Veruca apart was a weird addition, but i don’t really hate it. I mean, Violet  supposedly gets her limbs sold to her fans in the WE version and I don’t ever hear ppl talk abt how dark that is. 

Vidiots

The catchiest song in both versions. One of the best songs in the show. It’s literally so funky I love this song so much you don’t even know. The Broadway actually did pretty great with this one visually in comparison to their other sets. I do prefer the lyrics of this song in the WE, bc it sorta has more of a point, but I like the key Broadway did it in a lot, I think I prefer it higher. Ik it doesn’t change much but there’s smth about it.

This gets extremely long, so I'll put it under a Read More.

Firstly, my starter, Orchid! My parents got him for me when I was 11 as a gift, because I had expressed interest in the Ralts line. This made them very excited, because up until that point I had been seriously averse to any Pokémon. So my dad flew to Hoenn and adopted Orchid from a Ralts litter his friend's Kirlia had, and then gave him to me! I love Orchid so much, and I'd never give him up for anything in the world.

Now, there's Scarlet! She-

...Yes, that's her. I found her wandering about in the outskirts near Medali. Her coloration intrigued me, so I caught her to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with her. Fortunately, she was completely healthy, and now she doesn't want to leave, haha! She also came with a little surprise, which is...

Chili, her daughter! A couple days after I took Scarlet in, she laid an egg out of nowhere! Seems like she had been expecting! Well, that egg hatched into the adorable Ralts that is Chili! She's the sweetest... :)

Tybalt's turn! I found him at Glaseado Mountain and he wanted to put up a fight, so Orchid fought him and won. After that, I guess he admired Orchid's moves, because he wanted to tag along with us! And how could I say no? :)

Now, Prim and Blizzard were sort of a package deal, kinda? I was on the Blueberry Academy exchange program, and figured I should try to step out of my comfort zone and catch another Pokémon species. I was told Solosis was fitting for beginners, so I found one in the Terarium, but this little guy had a Milcery buddy who kept following me after I caught him. So I caught her too, because why separate them?

Widow I also found in the Terarium! She was in a cave in the Tropical Biome, all alone... she helped me find my way out of the cave, but I could tell she didn't want me to go... so I offered to let her come with us, and she was happy to do so. :)

I got Han from @pokestudentjune! I am not quite fond of Water-types, but Han is an exception, because he's just so adorable! I love this little messy-haired Quaxly!

And finally, Moon the Hatterene. I don't bring him up enough, since I've been busy in Galar and all, but I met him when I was in some sort of cave with Mai. I felt like we were being watched, and sure enough, it was a little Hatenna following us! Mai begged me to catch the little guy, so I did, despite not being fond of the Hatenna line. I've warmed up to Moon as of now, he's a very gentle guy if you aren't too loud.

Those are all my Pokémon's origin stories! I could go into more detail, but this post is already so so long... thank you for asking me this! :)

wow more on my game over au. anyways in the au i decided to give mephone4 a lot of physical injuries and situational issues so i can delve more into his character. in the original show MePhone4 desperately needs other people for his horrendous mental state but pushes everyone away and chooses not to get help due to him being afraid of showing vulnerability, but in this au he doesn't even have the choice to NOT very dependant on other people, seeing as hes lost 98％ of his memory, doesn't know anyone or his surroundings and just generally.doesnt know, is half blind, cant stand or walk by himself due to his leg injury etc he relies on other people a lot more than he would in the og universe. and this reliance makes him feel like a burden and insecure which just makes him need them more. so yeah after that yap paragraph heres the actual art its oj helping mephone walk

well. that was one hell of a year. pretty shit but somehow you all (my most dearest mutuals and friends on tumblr) made it better. i'll be honest i didn't think i'd actually get this recognised on this damn hellsite but here i am with (idk how many followers on my edit blog which i kinda abandoned) followers. wow.
