He May Be An Idiot, But He's Your Idiot.

It’s been two years since you last saw, let alone even spoke, to Denki Kaminari. Your last interaction with him wasn’t the best. You had just started your second year of college and had grown tired of beating around the bus and never putting a label on your relationship with him. In high school, his silly and carefree personality endeared you, but as you aged you began wondering if he’d ever mature.

Your fight, if you could call it that, left an ache in your chest that you still felt to this day. You’ll admit that you miss him, his silly jokes that’d make you laugh until you couldn’t breath, the way he held you under the moonlight while you stared at the stars together. You miss the way he made you feel, but you couldn’t continue waiting for him to man up, so you left. Said your goodbyes to your friends, packed your bags and left town.

Now it’s two years later, you finished college and came back to the city you left behind. You’re standing in the kitchen of your new apartment, trying to decide if you want to cook or order take out when your phone vibrates on the counter. You aren’t expecting anything important, the only people who know you’re back are Mina and Jirou, who both swore they wouldn’t say anything until you’re ready but you wouldn’t be surprised if Mina accidentally let it slip.

You’re not exactly hiding, and you doubt Denki even remembers the last time you talked. Which is why you’re surprised to see Denki’s contact staring back at you when you unlock your phone.

You didn’t think he still had your number, nor that you still had his. His contact name is the same as before and it makes you snort with laughter when you remember why he chose it.

“I’m just saying, I would totally be Pikachu if I was a Pokémon!” He laughed loudly from his place on the park bench.

“Based on what exactly?” You laughed with him, utterly amused by his antics.

“Oh my god, weren’t you listening!? I’d be Pikachu because of the dream I had!” He defended himself with a playful glare at you.

“What dream?” You genuinely had no idea what he was talking about, but his smile made your stomach flutter, and you never wanted his laugh to end.

That had been one of your favorite memories from high school, it still makes you laugh now. You glance down at your phone again, your last text to him being left on read still and you sigh. You typed out a text and had just barely pressed send when a message from Denki popped up that made you pause.

After agreeing to meet up and go to dinner with him, you changed into something warmer and left your apartment.

“Hey, you look good.” You hear his voice as you approach the outside of the noodle shop causing you to look up at him.

“Oh thanks, so do you.” You smile at each other before the silence turns awkward again.

“So, did you -”

“I missed you - “

The both of you go to speak at the same time, two different sentences leaving each of your mouths and you stare at him once you register his words.

“What?”

“Shit, fuck I’m so sorry. That’s not- fuck this isn’t how I wanted this to go.” He panics and begins rambling while you stand there, mouth agape just watching him.

“Shit can we -”

“I missed you too.”

Now it’s his turn to stare at you in shock as he processes your words.

“What?”

You both stand there in silence for a few minutes trying to process what just happened before he sighs deeply.

“Let’s get some food and talk.” He speaks and tilts his head towards the noodle shop, you nod and wonder when he got so mature. You assume he’s freaking out internally, like you are, but the way he seems to be handling it is a shock to you. Maybe that’s your fault for assuming he wouldn’t change since you last saw him.

You walk into the shop together, order and he pays like he said he would. You talk a bit while you eat, just small talk and catching up. The deeper conversation comes when you’re walking through the park together like you did when you were teenagers. It’s been an hour or so now, he still has his silly and carefree personality that you loved so much but he knows when to be serious and reel in the jokes.

Currently you’re sitting next to each other on a park bench silently watching the stars, your hands are close together, one move and your fingers would be interlaced.

“I want to thank you.” He speaks after a few minutes.

“For what?” You ask.

“This might sound weird but, I want to thank you for leaving. If you didn’t break my heart back then I wouldn’t have gotten the push I needed to get my act together.” His words feel like a punch to that ache in your chest from before.

“Denks -” You try to speak but he holds up a hand.

“No it’s not a bad thing. You left and at that moment I swore that if you ever came back, I’d do anything to prove that I’ve changed, that I’ve become the kind of man you’d want to be with.” He explains.

“Denki you were always the type of man I want to be with, I never wanted you to change. I just wanted you to meet me halfway.” You lace your fingers through his while turning to face him, he’s already looking at you.

“I love that you’re silly. Your jokes make me laugh until I can’t breathe, I love the way you hold me, I love the way you make me feel. I love you Denki Kaminari. I just needed you to be as serious about me as I am about you.” He’s staring at you wide eyed and you feel your cheeks heat up at your own confession.

“Oh.”

“I hope that’s not a bad ‘oh’ you’re saying.” You try to joke and lighten the mood. He’s still staring at you and it makes you nervous, until he’s leaning in and kissing you. He kisses you for a few seconds before pulling away quickly.

“Shit sorry I should’ve asked first.” You laugh loudly as he panics.

“Pikachu, I choose you.” You say and he’s pulling you in for another kiss with a smile on his face.

He may have changed some but at heart he’s still the same Denki. He’s still your Denki.

Not Sad, Just Blue, Like His Hair.

You weren’t sad, just feeling sort of blue. Why were you feeling blue? It felt the entire weight of the world was on your shoulders, and to top it off, period cramps fucking suck. So here you are, curled in a ball underneath the comfort of your blankets and hiding from the world. Your eyes are closed and you’re hoping to take a nap, until the vibrations from your phone pull you from your thoughts and you nearly scream in frustration.

It’s a text from Tomura, his contact name makes you laugh lightly before you groan again at the pain in your stomach.

After your brief conversation with him, you roll over and attempt to sleep. You’re not sure how long you lay there for, or if you even slept, but at some point you feel a hand shaking your shoulder. Opening your eyes, you’re greeted with the sight of Tomura kneeling beside your bed. Black sweater on with the hood pulled over his head and he’s staring at you. Groaning, you try to pull the blanket over your head again but his hands stop you.

“None of that, c’mon I brought you snacks and shit.” He whispers, voice rough like he hasn’t used it in a few hours. He pulls the blanket away and sets the plastic store bag, likely filled with your favorite snacks, on your nightstand.

“How did you get in?” Your voice cracks part way through the sentence and you scoot over to make room for him to climb in bed with you, which he does.

“I climbed in through the window.” He slides the blanket over the both of you once he’s settled and you snuggle into his arms trying to steal his warmth.

“Really?” You hide your face in his chest and he snorts.

“No dumbass, I used the spare key you gave me.” His chest rumbles with a laugh and you shove his shoulder playfully.

“Fuck off I’m in pain be nice to me.” He shakes his head and wraps both his arms around you.

“When am I ever nice to you?” You shove him again and he simply holds you tighter.

“I’m taking a nap.” He hums at your words.

“I’ll be here.” Your eyes close again and press your ear against his chest.

“Thanks Tomu.” And with that you fall asleep to him rubbing soothing circles on your back and the sound of his heart beating.

Hi everyone! I want to say thank you for the 100 followers, at first I didn’t think it was much but as Kitty so wonderfully put it, “100 people in a room all saying they like your stuff” is actually a lot more than I think. So thank you Kitty for that visual.

And thank you Kisa and Cam for also saying I should do this event. It’s my first event so there will probably be some mess ups and stuff but I think I have a general grasp of it (thank you to Ari for that.)

So without further ado, Welcome To The Library!

How it works;

You tell me any character from MHA/KPDH/Blue Lock/JJK, a few things about your relationship with that character (platonic or romantic), and whether you want angst/fluff/comfort/silly etc.

What you’ll get;

I’ll recommend a book or comic that I think you’ll like based off what you give me. You can give a one sentence plot point but I’d like to have a majority of the creative liberty.

You can ask for up to three recommendations.

Other info;

Recommendations will be given from 15th of August to 30th of August. Any asks for recommendations after that date will not be answered. And please be patient, I do have other things going on outside of Tumblr.

Katsuki would never admit it to you, and he has a hard time admitting it to himself. But the way you look at him after one of your fights, that hint of fear in your eyes, the shaky timbre of your voice, it tears him apart inside.

He hates it because he knows why you do it. Because when you're looking at him like that, you're not seeing him, you're seeing your ex. The guy who ruined you in the worst way possible. Katsuki knows he's not him, but that look in your eyes, it makes him feel like he is.

You haven't spoken to him today and you slept in the guest room last night. Breakfast was quiet, Izuku had already left for UA by the time you came down to eat. And when Katsuki tried to kiss your forehead bye the way he does every morning, you flinched and his heart shattered.

How did you both get here? What did you even fight about? It all seems so stupid now. Katsuki just wants his wife back, he just wants you.

He sighs heavily, looking down at all the people walking through the streets from his position on a random rooftop that he settled on during the last part of his patrol. One leg hanging over the ledge and the other knee is bent, elbow resting on it, chin in his hand.

His phone buzzes in his pocket, the usual 4:30pm message from Izuku letting Katsuki know that he's heading to the agency so they can go home together when Katsuki's patrol is over. Normally Katsuki would text back, ask Izuku what he wants for dinner, talk about you for a bit, before ending his patrol and heading back. But the sound of somebody calling for help reaches his ears, and his hero instincts kick in.

He's blasting off towards the noise before his brain can catch up. He reaches the scene and from there it's a blur. He doesn't remember anything until he sees your face glaring at him in the hospital.

"H-hey my love." He speaks, voice shaky and vision fuzzy. He's bleeding from a stab wound, likely has a concussion and several broken bones, but his only concern is that he gets to see you. That he gets to apologize for the stupid fight he can't even remember.

You glare at him harder, hiding your fear behind a mask of anger. You were coming back from break when you got the news about a villain attack and collapsing building. An influx of injured civilians and some heroes too. You didn't know Katsuki was one of them until they wheeled him in on a stretcher.

"Ari, we need you in OR 2." A colleague calls to you, your gaze leaves Katsuki to give her a nod before glaring at your idiotic husband again.

"I-I'm-" He tries to speak but you cut him offf.

"You better not die on me, or I swear I'll kill your ass, you hear me?" You point an accusing finger at him, and he laughs.

"I promise." He swears. You nod, take a few steps and look back to him.

"Good."

The next few hours pass in a blur. You've lost count of how many stitches you've done. Your thoughts keep flitting to Katsuki. Somebody told you Izuku arrived not too long after you left Katsuki, you've been itching to see both of them.

You lean against the wall just outside Katsuki's room, you want to go in, so fucking badly, but your brain keeps stopping you. What if he doesn't want to see me? What if he's still upset about our fight? What if he hates me and decides to leave me? These are just some of the thoughts running through your head.

"Hey dumbass, you gonna stay standing out there or are ya gonna come in and yell at me for being stupid on the job?" Katsuki's voice calls through the door and you laugh through the tears that had gathered in your eyes.

He's bandaged and sitting up in bed, Izuku sits in the chair besides the bed and they both look at you expectantly when you open the door. Shuffling in, you stand awkwardly by the bed. Hands wringing together nervously, you still feel like you shouldn't be here.

But then Katsuki speaks.

"I'm sorry, it was a stupid fight. You weren't ready to talk, and I shouldn't have pushed you. I'm not him. I won't hurt you or get angry with you over stupid shit. You don't have to be afraid of me. I love you. We'll fight, it's normal, we're married. Married couples fight, but what's important is that you know I'm not leaving. I'm still here, I will always be here, because I love you, because I'm not him." By the time he's done with his speech the tears are falling from your eyes and you sniffle.

"C'mere Ari baby." He reaches for you with the arm that's not in a cast and you climb into the bed with him.

"You're a fucking idiot." You say with a glare.

"Mhm I know, tell me all about it." He smirks as you settle in bed with him and Izuku laughs.

"Yay wife and Kacchan are happy again." Izuku cheers from his spot which makes you and Katsuki laugh.

"We're okay?" Your voice is muffled from where you have your face hidden in Katsuki's chest.

"Yeah love, we're okay." He presses a kiss to your head and you smile.

"You're still an idiot."

"Yeah, but I'm your idiot."

You snort, Izuku laughs, and Katsuki just sighs.

Katsuki isn't him. He'll never be him. Because he's better than your ex. You'll fight and argue, but at the end of the day, you communicate and you fix things. Because you love each other.

as a means of apologizing, i have decided to listen to the voices (kisa, kitty, and cam) who have told me to do an event for 100 followers

so i shall be doing that

i’m gonna take what kitty said and take a couple days to think about some things i could do and then make a cutesy event post and go from there

in the meantime i have also started the next update for L.O.V.E so that will also be coming within the next week or so

as an incentive for that, have this little piece;

“Today marks the halfway point of your two month project. It also marks two weeks since you last spoke to Shigs, you’ve barely streamed in that time. You haven’t seen much of the girls or your brother. i’m not going to make a cutie event post just yet because i want to see something first.

i know 100 isn’t a lot in terms of well, anything really, but it’s a milestone to me and i want to celebrate it so

if i did an event (still figuring out exactly what i’d do, probably something simple like smaus or one shots/drabbles etc.) would anybody actually send in an ask for it??

and if i did an event what type of things would you guys want to see???

again this is a big IF because i do want to celebrate 100 followers and i feel like this would also help me get back into writing so i can continue working on L.O.V.E and get that finished.

i just seriously have no clue what i would do.

How to enter:

For this event, it's going to be really simple. You will send me a few lines about you and any MHA character. It can be platonic or romantic. But do be reasonable here, don't send me anything about Eri and tell me it's romantic because I'll skin you alive and suck your blood.
