Who has got their meditation game this on point? 🕉 Who can behave this way in real-life situations? - - Sometimes others are angry, or their anger is close to their surface, and so their dealings with us are presented through thinly veiled states of anger, despite their best intent and even their conscious intents. The subconscious is angry, and so it snarls right through the intent that can only ever veil the subconscious energies. Because those deeper energies are the more powerful force, the nastiness shows, the quickness to frustration, the antagonism of others that is really the antagonism toward themselves. - - The hardest part of these situations is not responding to them in kind, from our own angry subconscious energies that recognize themselves in the ways of others and erupt out of our depths to meet them. Read more... - - - As the photo hints, Bicycle Day is not really a day for celebrating bicycles. Actually, it commemorates the day that Sandoz-employed chemist Albert Hoffman stumbled upon the powerful effects of LSD while studying a cure for migraines. He was riding home on his bicycle, as was his way, when things began getting *quite* weird. The incredibly curious mind-altering experience sent him down a path of nobly studying various other drugs now referred to as "psychedelics," but in a professional laboratory setting. (This includes "magic" mushrooms, as he was among the first [THE first?] to synthesize their psychoactive ingredient psilocin/psilocybin and mass produce it chemically prior to federal schedulings). It's impossible to measure how much Hoffman's discovery altered the course of our cultural history - how art and innovation and music changed as a direct and then indirect result, cascading across decades forevermore. Even the most tight-laced, straight edge has encountered some aspect of the psychedelic experience somewhere, in comic books, rock/electronica music, movies, and even inventions. Hoffman called LSD "My Problem Child," and didn't like how it escaped professional study into a nascent public not prepared for the gravity of what it had to offer them. 78 years since his accidental discovery, our society and government are finally mature enough to study it again. Haha, I ran AngelFire websites that looked like this between 4th and 6th grade. - - - I was a super-early adopter of the internet, thanks to my school giving me and only two other students free computers.
