Tbh it's a stress I would have regardless of anyone asking me about it, I'm probably the biggest one rushing and guilting myself on it. Which might contribute to some of the burnout I had...

My complaints are more about people who are demanding "more content daddy" or asking me if I'm dead or asking on every single post I make where it is... Wondering when it's coming back is completely reasonable, it's been a long time! but there's definitely a line haha

my editor also keeps randomly scheduling me and then saying "oh, btw you're scheduled to return in 3 weeks. Is that alright?" And I have to keep saying no, that's not alright??? And then dealing with that process...

I could write an essay about all the reasons it's not back yet, but that doesn't help me feel any less pressured, and it doesn't help you all get the rest of the comic any faster...

As of right now I'm scheduled to and trying to return october 21. No official announcement yet cause I have to do a lot of work in that time, but it's my official goal at least. When we get closer I'll be able to say for sure whether it's coming back on that date!

In other news, I think my dad keeps watching WW84 when it comes on tv because he thinks Max Lord is compelling, but he won’t just outright say Pedro acted his heart out and almost saved that trash fire singlehandedly…

another thing I hope they change for the show is the bloater flashback. there is, again, no way that Joel "massacred an entire hospital" Miller just moved on from Ellie almost getting her head ripped off. there is just no way. I talked to my sister about it and sure, you could say maybe he doesn't want to baby her since they've already started drifting and she's 16 now, but there was barely ANY emotion after that. just "that was too close"??? your daughter almost died, my guy. give some emotion to that, please. it just felt like he was on a normal patrol that happened to run into a bloater, not Ellie (the kid he traveled the country with and has basically adopted) almost dying to a bloater

I've never seen the Lex calling Lena Ace thing but that's from Gilmore Girls. One of the main character's college boyfriends called her that. So that would probably be my "Lee" that's all I could think about, and that's weird.

You gotta read and watch some old books and films that aren’t 100% modern politically correct. I’m not saying you should agree with everything in them but you need to learn where genres came from to understand what those genres are doing today and where media deconstructing old tropes is coming from.

Also, more often than you might think, they’re not actually promoting bigotry so much as “didn’t consider all the implications of something” or just used words that were polite then but considered offensive now.
