the person in the portrait is orchid ketch, egret's mom. she was killed by the minotaur about 15 years prior. this was also the moment egret decided she was going to kill every Bad Person ever. (which is obviously a deeply flawed concept at it's core, but i don't think you could convince her of that... yet.)

another intention behind this piece was a bit more niche and personal so i left it out of the main caption- i was thinking about that weird kind of grief that comes with transitioning after a loved one has died. feeling like they never got to really meet you. the only photos left taken with someone else, letters adressed to a name you'd rather not know. what would they think of you now?

Introducing my Steven universe AU series: EVERGREEN AU 💚💚💚

Evergreen is a Steven universe alternative universe. It’s an extremely parallel universe from the original, so any characters of the og doesn’t exist. It’s about four gems who live on earth. They have their own problematic past and some secrets I will show in the next episodes. The history have A LOOT of layers and I want to share it so much with you guys.

Green:

Green is a unknown type of gem. He have some powers like: laser light and some undiscovered yet. His currently weapon is a boomerang 💚

Pearl serves no one anymore. She have all pearls skills including her weapon: a fan that she can use as knife or a shield. 🩷

Bluebird azurite used to be a lapis lazulis commander on the terraforming missions on colonies. He can control ice and water and his weapon is a ice stick. 💙

A permafusion of a ruby and a blue jade. She can control the wind, her weapon is a whip. 💜

Bornite's Bestie. Roommate. Gal Pal. If you will.

Angie's a little toughie! She got fed up with her job on Homeworld trying to pacify others and decided to pick up a blade for the Rebel cause! Of course, her size and generally lack of combat prowess have made the other members of the Resistance hesitant to include her in their battles. But, she won't take no for an answer! She's got a fighting spirit, and to her it doesn't matter if other people think she's too itty bitty to throw hands.

Angelites on Homeworld are produced by White and Blue Diamond. They can summon puffy clouds that will make any gem who comes in contact with them feel light and airy. Basically, their job is to pacify any gems who step out of line or get too violent. They're put into groups in the dozens called "Choirs" and managed by a higher ranking gem, like a Marble.

I'm not exactly sold on the exact way in which Angelite defected from Homeworld. But Angelites are kind of supposed to act the way their powers make other gems feel. All air-headed and cheery and stuff. The other gems in her Choir definitely fit that mold more than she did, and it freaked her out a bunch. And imagine her Marble was kind of tough on her. So maybe one day she just slipped away while no one was looking.

There's some bonus gems in the doodles this time. Bornite, who you've already seen, but also some newbies! There's Angelite's Marble, on the right side. And on the left is Bloodstone, a fusion who I'm very excited to get to! But you'll have to wait to see more of her later.
