yknow i love transmasc/tboy dirk always and forever but the way some ppl treat transmascness vs transfemmeness in HS's narrative........kinda sucks. like the whole thing about how being transfeminine is a literal transient experience and lets the character in question (any character) truly escape the oppression of HS's narrative-as-a-character which is patriarchal and toxic (lord english, hussie-the-character to an extent. i guess. idk ive seen a lotta ppl lump SI-hussie in w/ this), which is great and does hold weight as an analytical lens esp with how hussie irl is nonbinary. but where does this leave transmasc characters. why are we treating (headcanoned) transfemme HS characters like this and then tbh gleefully dooming (headcanoned) transmasc characters to eternal narrative suffering brought by LE and then mocking them for being ''gross tboys'' full of ''icky testorerone'' so its their fault theyre in this perpetual torment really? because they ''''chose to be a man''''? dunno man its starting to feel bad. especially since some bnf's who are really into this fan theory do actually kinda treat the general idea of transmasculinity like somthing to hold with tongs at arms length away from them. as if its alien or infectous or something and then get really mad when equally dysphoric transmascs do the same with feminity. why are we dooming dirk strider to eternal toxic-masculine suffering and what does that say about how we treat real life transmasc folks both in and outside of the fandom

Since the MOMENT the original GF show aired, I was kinning YOUR problematic fave; thats well over a decade! And boy oh boy am I SO fucking back. (I never left.)

Keep in mind; at the initial time, I was a child and didn't know what kinning was (small brain, big big plans!) which puts me over the legal drinking age now. No kiddos interact, come back once you hit legality.

I'll be honest, its been years since I've made a sideblog (or a main blog) for kinning; I don't really care either way if people wanna talk to me, but I'm not against having some fun! I'm here for a good time, and for the love of GOD no drama. Does that still happen in kin communities or has everyone finally grown up?

Hello!?! So this is my second time ever sending an ask, so excuse if its poorly written</3

So, as far as i am aware, i'm not a system, i have system friends and i can see a clear difference between us, even if they are clearly not the same either.

Thing is, at times i have odd moments where, lets say, i'm deeply attached or for some reason i follow through with a character, and i look fan content. What usually happens is simple, i enjoy the content and move on! But theres been a few times i've had literal panics when something went on with these characters, lemme explain-

Scrolling down on ao3, as one does, i find a fic of my fave poly king, the boyfailure of the year! But the content of the desc for some reason freaked me out and i had a panic of sorts where i thought "that is not me, i wouldnt do that" and after an hour to calm down i had to pause 'cause it wouldnt stop?? And when i calmed down i had to double take what went on with my freakout, this has happend many times now with a lot of characters(?) I'm curious if thats even normal or not, given that, for all i know, i'm just a guy???

Also i have very especific memories to one particular character that arent canon?? But i am sure they happend?? I'm /gen with this one

What you're describing sounds a lot like fictionfolk experiences – in particular, plural (fictive) or fictionkin experiences. Lots of fictives and fictionkin can relate to having memories that don't match their related source material (which are known as pseudomemories or exomemories), as well as having a visceral "I would not fucking do/say that" reaction to fanworks of their source. Although, I would say that "double take" feeling you describe much more often falls under fictive experiences. It's not impossible for this to be a fictionkin experience, of course (some posts on very strong kin shifts come to mind), I just see that sort of thing discussed more often in the plural community (however, I acknowledge that that may be because I'm more active in the plural community than any 'kin community). But regardless, I want to reiterate that what you're describing reminds me of the experiences of many fictionfolk.

I won't say anything for sure, but if you're certain you are not a system, then I'd encourage you to look around the fictionkin and extended fictionfolk communities and see if you relate to any of it. You don't have to take up any particular label, of course – you can still be and describe yourself as "just a guy" – I just think you'd probably be able to find a lot of folks who understand your experiences there.

A couple of small updates!

There is one submission left in the queue (which will post today), so I will try to muster up the spoons to work with the ones we haven't answered yet; however, I (current fronter) know nothing about this game and want to wait for someone who does know more and can give you genuine responses to do so.

We've been considering running a mini event based totally around projecting onto your faves (maybe trying out flag edits?) since we personally have a decent number of "Project Sekai" fictives, and we wanted to see if there was any sort of interest for that.
