Note: I couldn’t decide on what exactly he would do, so I laid out a couple ideas out. Tomorrow I’ll be focusing more on writing more of my own ideas, so I might not do any asks of requests tomorrow, but I’m still happy to talk to you all!

The work life

Fighting instructor/Teacher

— Sanemi still has a lot of fight in him, and he can’t just sit home all day with you. The Ubuyashiki family still sends him and your payment for his service, but Sanemi still wants to do something in his free time. Besides, he could get some pocket money for you four. Maybe Sanemi could build a treehouse with that money? When his babies grow up, they could play all day in there!

— He enjoys working with young people and teaching them how to fight, both with fists and a katana. It reminds him of the time in the corps, although not always pleasant, it was still nostalgic.

— Sanemi found more patience inside him for his students, given that there is no looming threat that could take their life, the life of their partners and kids in the middle of the night anymore. Muzan is dead, and Sanemi uses that fact to remind himself to stay patient and calm.

— It doesn’t bring much money, Sanemi sometimes even doing it for free and just the fun of it. He just wants to feel helpful and teach some young men and women the basics of fighting and defending oneself.

Working on a farm

— Perhaps after having a mostly violent and stressful life, Sanemi would like to have some peace after the final war against Muzan. It would be therapeutic for him to loosen the earth, throw some seeds around and water the soil, and then watch it grow. He treats the plants very carefully and made sure none of them died or dried out.

— Once the triplets were old enough, he would start teaching them about plants too. Sanemi would talk about how to grow them, what they can do or what you can cook with them. After harvesting, he and the kids would cook the whole evening, letting you just sit back and watch.

— Sanemi would pride himself of the fact that he can provide food for his family through his farm/garden.

Opening a small shop

— Sanemi would maybe open up a small shop, mainly selling sweets and snacks.

— He would prepare all the sweets himself: dango, ohagi, mochi and more. Sanemi looks scary, yes, but once the locals gave him a chance, Sanemi got accepted into the community as their local former-samurai-shop-owner.

— The kids loved buying sweets in his shop and ask for some stories about demons. Are they really real anyway?

— Sanemi would of course leave out all the gruesome details and just tell them stories about heroics and victories, romanticising his experiences. They would eat it up every time, the stories and the sweet.

The daily life

— Sanemi wakes up everyday thanking the gods for gifting him a family like this. Then, he would either roll over and cuddle you, or just pull you closer to himself when he’s already holding you. The mornings with him are cuddly and affectionate, since Sanemi is still sleepy and the most vulnerable. You two would talk about the tasks ahead and what to do with the kids today.

— You just recently gave birth to three beautiful baby boys, and the pregnancy still affected you. You couldn’t leave the bed yet, so Sanemi made sure to pamper you plenty.

— After receiving his energising kisses and pampering you with cuddles, Sanemi would crawl out of bed and check up on the babies. Simply watching them sleep made him feel peace and serenity inside. After changing some diapers and some rocking, he would bring the babies to you for feeding and bonding. While you were busy, Sanemi would go make some breakfast.

— Most of Sanemi’s day consists of running errands, shopping, and taking care of your and the boy’s needs. He enjoyed it though. A peaceful life is something he appreciates, although he can’t help it but sometimes miss the feeling of slaying and beheading demons.

— In the evenings, Sanemi would light some candles on Genya’s shrine, and he would pray to his little brother and the rest of his family, thanking them for watching over him and his own little family. He sets out some bowls of snacks onto the shrine like watermelon, still remembering how Genya used to love them.

— Sanemi would leave the door between your bedroom and the nursery wide open, finding peace in knowing that in case something happens, he’s right here.

— He would hold you close, whispering thank-you’s and I-love-you’s into your ear, wanting to make sure that you feel loved and appreciated by him.

I’m tired of people invalidating and excluding closeted people from their own community. Do people understand how hard it is for a closeted person to come out? Me as just an ordinary person has had a difficult time navigating all of this, I can’t imagine a celebrity. I think we forget that they are people too. This is not only a fandom situation but on a much bigger scale when you factor in the general public. For queer progression and normalisation in society we need people to be brave and come out. The people in the best postion to do that are people who are in supportive environments, and don't risk losing jobs, opportunities, money, friends and family or their lives. Celebrities are role models and most of them are usually in a position to be able to come out. They should come out. It's safe for them.

It's also important to differentiate between someone closeted of their own will, and someone forcibly closeted. There are not many people in the last category, but H and L are in that category. They want to come out, they're hinting as much as they can, but they're contractually not allowed to come out. With proper seeding, it's safe for both H and L to come out.

Nobody should be forced out of the closet. But queer people need representation and somebody needs to take the first step for others to follow. If it's isn't safe it isn't safe. You know best if it's safe for you to come out or not 💚

I love how he's always an outsider, always apart, I love his contradictory nature: how he's the avatar of life but is unable to truly enjoy life; how he craves peace and quiet and yet is constantly being pulled to take part in universe-shattering conflicts; he's the master of the soul gem and thus has insight into other people's souls and yet is unable to truly connect with most beings, he's Thanos' self appointed psychologist and is way worse than him, etc

On that last point I love his constant mental breakdowns and I love that his head is a mess. Adam travels to Thanos' mind and it's regular goth shit with skulls and stuff, but when Thanos travels to Adam's mind he's like "whoa dude! this is fucked up!"

I love that he can't stay alive for more than 5 minutes at a time, shout-out to his tombstone for when he was only 10 years old, actual literal baby boi!

I love his journeys of self discovery that helped at a time where I was going on some introspective journeys of my own

I love that this cosmic being of incomprehensible power is afraid of women and relationships, he can deal with the fabric of the universe breaking, that's easy compared to feelings

I love his soon to be 50 year long incredible slow-burn relationship with Thanos they come in a package do not separate them, I love the similarities between the two and how they understand each other completely in spite of their differences, I love how they'd rather blow up the universe than resolve their issues without making it everybody's problem ;)

I would have bought into the whole homophobic narrative that my family spouted had I not started reading fanfiction. I was young, not even in high school and had already laughed at 2 guys being denied the right to adopt a child because they were homosexual. Let me tell you.. I did not know why my family was laughing and celebrating. I just heard them call it unnatural and I laughed and agreed.

BUT! Fanfiction, online interaction, tv shows, they showed me a very different world (also some of those 'gay' fanfictions were written better than the ya books I had and I was hooked!). It slowly opened my mind to so many more possibilities that till now were not even something I had entertained because they were taboo!

And suddenly I didn't know why I laughed? I didn't know why I was made to sit down and explained how bad it was that two men were together and how it went completely against the natural order of things? Because love is love whether it's between different genders or the same one. People are people, whatever they are born as and whatever they identify as. In India, 'hijra' is used as a slur. It means transgender and it is so sad to see that the very existence of someone has been reduced to an insult. I get so tired of correcting people, family members/friends, to not disrespect others, to not buy into the same bullshit homophobic narrative we all have been fed our entire lives.

Our families love spouting about compassion and blah blah, but when it comes to actually putting these things into words, actually being empathetic (and I've observed this in both the attitude towards lgbtq+ rights and animal rights), yeah mostly it's all lip service. When it comes to actually putting that kindness into action, whether it's by supporting the queer community or boycotting animal products/animal abuse, mostly they fail (just had a family member tell me in the morning to not mention bisexuality because it makes them nervous. And this was 2 minutes after I reminded them that I'm bisexual).

So yes, forever thankful for fiction and just the internet in general which taught me so much, stomped out the very very small seed of homophobia when I was young and made me realise and accept my own bisexual self, years and years later. Happy pride! 💚💖

Poor Rulie can dish it, but when it comes to romantic subjects he cannot take it. Legend has a field day. Many field days in fact.

It’s Wednesday for me, so here is a short snippet from one of my WIPs as my offering for WIP Wednesday. This is from Asking for Advice, Asuma's story in Courting Culture Confusion, and the concept was entirely inspired by @zanahoriabaila​.

Or rather, he sees but he doesn't have the attention to spare. He normally makes a point of being friendly, greeting the people that work here and maintaining the relationships he has with them, but not right now.

Not when his mind and heart are in turmoil.

Another year, another spring, another failure.

His hanakotoba is on her desk, yes - a very visible warning to other people that she's being courted - but that's about all he has to show for his efforts. He's tried and tried, for years and years, but he feels like he's running in place.

When he first fell in love with Kurenai, when he approached her, he'd chosen to do it in the Senju style, a gesture to her heritage since his clan doesn't have any courtship customs of its own.
