So, here's a request: A reader with low social activity gets tired and, in an attempt to take a break from the outside world, hides under the haori of her mentor.

Sanctuary

After Kyojuro, your master, offered to take you to a festival after another gruelling training session, you felt a little overwhelmed by all the crowds, loud chatter and bright lights.

Pairing: Kyojuro x gn!reader (platonic)

You never strayed far him, holding onto the tip of his flame haori, trying to keep him close and not get lost by the crowds surrounding you and him. While he was enthusiastically pointing out the different stands the snacks you two could try and a beautiful kite he thought about buying for Senjuro, you were dodging drunken strangers and trying to stay close to your mentor with your tight grip. Noticing that you were pulling his haori, Kyojuro glanced over his shoulder at your hunched form.

“Are you alright? Are you hiding from someone?”

His voice was much more hushes as he turned to you, carefully slipping his arm around your shoulder to keep you close and shield you from bodies bumping into you. His steps were quicker now, trying to lead you away and to a quieter area to have a proper conversation with you without needing to yell over the crowds and conversations.

Once he managed to escort you to a much more calm and less crowed area of the festival, Kyojuro’s arm slowly slipped off your shoulders, giving you your space. He worriedly glanced at you, still waiting on an answer to his question earlier. You mumbled a quiet “I’m fine” before walking around him and lifted his haori from behind, stepping beneath it and heavily leaning against your mentor’s muscular back. You buried your face in his shoulder, using his haori to hide from the world around you two.

Surprised by your sudden action, Kyojuro laughed warmly, leaving you in that position.

“Why are you hiding? Was the festival too much for you? We can leave and come another time, when it’s much less crowded. Also, how about we share my haori side-by-side instead of you hiding behind my back? It’ll be easier to walk that way!”

Obanai is very jealous of his closest companion, Kaburamaru.

At first he was silently really happy how you two have been getting along so nicely, Obanai knows that Kaburamaru is rather feisty with strangers, even though you and him have been dating for quite a while now. You started sneaking him snacks and treats, thinking your boyfriend wont notice, you forgot about the fact that the snake is still wrapped around his neck and is simply leaning over his back to reach your treat. Obanai just ignores your antics. He was also glad seeing you and Kaburamaru cuddle when he’s not around, glad that you two are bonding.

Sometimes, he can hear you coo to his companion while he’s in the next room over, “handsome boy” and “lil’ danger noodle” are seemingly nicknames you like to call his buddy, and Kaburamaru never seemed to mind. He loves you just as much as you do, always accepting your gentle pets and making himself comfortable in your warm beck, refusing to leave, when Obanai is trying to coax it back out to put him back into his enclosure to rest for the night.

But lately, you noticed how your boyfriend is giving you a glare and huffing at the cooing your doing, sometimes even calling the new nickname you came up with for Kaburamaru and scolding you for bullying his pet. Although, the snake was still contently wrapped around your hand, enjoying scratches and being showered in affection. Obanai swears that that damn snake knows exactly what he’s doing by hogging all your attention for himself, that greedy bastard. Isn’t being nestled in your chest more times than he was, your boyfriend, in total enough affection from you?

Obanai gently detangled Kaburamaru from your neck, silently glaring at it once he turned his back to you. You called out to him one last time with a new nickname.

“Good night, snakey-poo!”

“Absolutely not. You are banned from calling him that ever again.”

“Can I call you my snakey-poo?”

“… Not in public.”

Tengen sometimes gets jealous of his own wives, Suma, Makio and Hinatsuru.

Yes, the five of you are all together in a marriage, but why do the four of you keep coming up with nee inside jokes but never include him? Was he the joke all along?

Also, why do the four of you keep insisting on doing a girls night almost every night and never include his poor self? Tengen is left to sit on the couch while you paint Suma’s nails, Hinatsuru seated behind her and braiding her hair and Makio styling yours, banishing him from entering the bedroom for the next three hours.

Sometimes, he stands in front of the door and whines, complains and sulks about being bullied by you four by not including him, and other times, Tengen listens to the gossip you share with the other girls and then suddenly chimes in to share his own opinion, his sudden booming voice scaring the souls out of your bodies.

He also gets moody when you don’t give him enough physical affection and instead decide to cuddle with somebody else than him during your sleep. Usually. You, Makio, Suma and Hinatsuru swap every night on who gets to cuddle with Tengen tonight, but sometimes, you decline his offer, being perfectly content in laying in someone else’s arms.

The next morning, you found Tengen somehow being pressed up against your back, his heavy arms draped around your waist and your legs trapped between his. He was literally clinging onto you in his sleep. You still think about how he managed to climb over his other wives to reach you without waking them or himself.

I barely write for the flashiest hashira, I hope this wasn’t too ooc 😅

Aggressive healing

You returned home sick after a gruelling mission that took you all the way up to a cold mountain. Sanemi now resulted to becoming a doting (and a little pissy) husband.

Pairing: Sanemi x gn!reader

You were tucked into your marital bed, multiple stacks of blankets, probably all you and your husband own, spread over your body to keep you warm. A damp, cool towel was placed on your head and replaced by a fresh one by the hour and a bowl strategically placed right next to you on the mattress, just in case you get sick and don’t make it to the bathroom. A large glass of water with a straw was placed right next to a lukewarm cup of herbal tea you didn’t drink. You were just about to mumble a quiet thank you for the glass of water before Sanemi made you shut your mouth as quickly as you opened it.

“You still haven’t drank the damn tea? You know that I’m keep brewing this shit up for you and not for myself, right??”

While he was scolding you, his hands were angrily tucking you tighter into bed, trying to be gentle while doing so. You pouted at him.

“I don’t like it, tastes disgusting. It makes me even more nauseous.”

Sanemi rolled his eyes slightly and moved the straw from the glas of water to the cup of tea in case you wanted to drink it anyway. To be honest, it was making him a little anxious how you were resisting his treatment. You didn’t want to take any pills Shinobu prescribed, the tea was yucky, you were too hot beneath the blankets, too cold when a single one is removed, you still forgot to drink normal amounts of water and barely ate anything nutritious without him dishing up something for you. It’s like you want to stay sick on purpose!

He sighed while he crossed his arms over his chest, staring at your form being tucked in so tightly. You shifted your position a little, glancing back at him.

“Why do you refuse my treatment, huh? Just let me do my duties as your doting husband.”

“I can take care of myself! My doting husband can go back to his hashira duties instead.”

The wind hashira rolled his eyes at that again with a groan, running his fingers through his white hair that is now probably turning grey from your current condition alone. He snatched the damp towel from your forehead without a warning and gently slapped your cheek with it in timing with every word he said.

“Stop. Being. Stubborn. with. ME!”

Groaning, he headed to the bathroom to wet the towel again before ungracefully slapping it back onto your forehead. You let out a whine.

“I’m not gonna be gentle and kind no more. I’m nursing you back to health even if I have to force the damn medicine down your throat.”

Sanemi leaned over you, staring down at you with big eyes, making you cower beneath the multiple layers of soft blankets. He placed a small kiss on your forehead before messing up your hair a little with an annoyed sigh.

“I’m making you a soup. Don’t care if you don’t like it, you’ll eat every single bite. It’ll be good for you. I’ll even make you a warm bath after.”

The writing of jealous giyuu and rengoku.. a sanemi one please!!!

Sanemi is jealous as hell of your pillow. Especially the one you use to hug in your sleep.

You cling onto it all night, drool running down your chin, staining the soft sheets below. Your arms are tightly wrapped around the cushion, your cheek lightly squished against it. While you sleep ever so peacefully, Sanemi stares daggers at both you and the damn pillow. While that damn pillow gets all the cuddles and action, he has the honour to big spoon you.

Don’t get him wrong, he enjoys big spooning very much, he just prefers behind held from time to time. The thought of you slowly running your fingers through his hair while his face is pressed up against your chest and his arms comfortably resting around your waist. But nooo… that damn pillow you’ve been using for ages now gets all your affection.

You sometimes notice how Sanemi was “accidentally” is using your favourite pillow as a backrest, flattening it out with no care about your complaining. After fluffing it and heading to the bathroom to brush your teeth, you come back to Sanemi laying right on top of your pillow, again, deflating it.

Two can play this game.

Instead of giving into his silent stubbornness and finally cuddle him like he deserves, you blatantly ignored his silent pleading by snatching his pillow from beneath his head, using it as a replacement. You made yourself comfortable beside your groaning boyfriend, who was now openly being jealous of your pillow.

“You’re being a real piece right now, huh?”

He propped his head up on his arm, menacingly glaring down at you. You gave him a small shrug and a small smirk, cuddling tighter onto his pillow.

Seems like Sanemi is getting deprived of extra cuddles tonight… He’s already thinking about making you repay in other ways, and your boyfriend is not planning on being gentle or cuddly with you.

Sanemi not saying “I love you” back is extremely rare. It’s usually the case that the wind hashira is too distracted by something and instead of reincorporating your affection, he might mumble “Yeah, yeah” or a simple “Me too” under his breath, thinking he did say those three magic words properly, only noticing that he didn’t when he noticed that you were being pouty once he did manage to find time to solely focus on you.

Sometimes, when you two lay in bed together, you mumble a quiet “love you”. As you close your eyes and think that your husband is already deeply asleep, you hear Sanemi sleepily respond instinctively to your affirmation.

“Don’t let the rice eat you.”

At least he’s being concerned for your safety even in his dreams.

It would actually make him really sad. Sanemi strongly believes that he probably did something to upset you, what other reason could be there for you not to reincorporate his words?

He’d silently glance at you every now and then throughout the whole day, trying to analyse your body language to find out if you’re upset at him. Sanemi would hover near you, almost like a kicked-puppy, still waiting on you to give him love, despite the situation of you not reincorporating those words was early in the morning and with that several hours ago. He needs you to reassure him, or else no missions will be finished that day.

“Hey, you forgot something.” He’d try to remind you, but you not knowing what he meant you just cock your head in slight confusion. Sanemi ran his fingers through his hair and sighed quietly. “Nevermind. Whatever.”

Kyojuro Rengoku

♡—Him not saying “I love you” back…

Impossible! Either you didn’t hear him over his mouth being stuffed with sweet potato fries, or he overthought the perfect moment on when to say his favourite three words to the point where he forgets to say them at all. After missing the perfect moment and not saying “I love you, Kyojuro’ll just give you a simple compliment or a wonky yet bright smile, trying to convey his love for you in that way.

If he sees you get confused or even sad about how he is not reincorporating your love, he’ll quickly almost yell the words out, not wanting to upset you.

“I love you! I promise I do!”

♡—You not saying “I love you” back…

Kyojuro’s first instinct would be to think that you are just too busy or preoccupied to reply to him, especially with you having to run so many errands today. After a couple hours pass where you spend your time elsewhere, he’d briefly worry if there is something that is bothering you, but that thought quickly faded away since your husband is sure that you’ll share whatever troubles you when the time is right and you feel comfortable enough.

So, once he sees you again, Kyojuro’ll continue to give you affection and reassurance, trying to make you feel loved without words by giving you light pecks on your cheek, holding your hand while you two walked or taking you out on a small, unplanned date. He’ll tell you that he loves you again, watching you expectantly with big eyes until you finally utter the words that make his heart melt every time.

“I love you, my firefly!” He had a big grin on his face while those words left his mouth, now awaiting for your reaction. Chuckling quietly, you responded with a small kiss on his cheek. Kyojuro’s face briefly turned into a pout, wanting to hear you say it back. It was just too adorable to tease him like this…

Gyomei Himejima

The reason Gyomei barely says “I love you” is that he feels that actions speak louder, and besides, you already know that he loves you more than any words can ever express. Although, if you tell him that you love him, he will of course respond by reassuring you with a soft smile and leaning down to place a gentle kiss on your forehead.

If you don’t reincorporate his affirmation, Gyomei wouldn’t mind at all. Just like he does, you express your love for him in other ways: touching him in any way, kisses, small gifts or your presence alone is reassuring him of your love. Yet, it is nice to hear it every once in a while. If you ignore his “I love you” in order to tease him or whatever other reason, he grows very quiet and thoughtful. He wonders if you have any troubles or if he hurt you in any way, sitting down in a quiet area to reflect on all his actions and behaviours over the past weeks, praying quietly.

Your husband also will ask you outright if you are upset at him after pondering for a while. If you tell him no, Gyomei will grow even more worried. Perhaps you were using sarcasm? Surely something must’ve moved you to not respond to his affections, right?

“I love you, my light.” Your husband calls out to you, pulling your attention away from whatever you were doing, responding with a simple “Okay.” You watched as his whole face morphed into one of worry, him slowly retreating back into the gardens to continue to self-reflect and pray.

Giyu Tomioka

♡—Him not saying “I love you” back…

It happens on accident sometimes, Giyu either forgets or is too nervous to say it back. He’s not quite used to the idea of being loved and cherished by someone he loves so much, so his brain temporarily halts when you tell him that you love him. Sometimes, he gives you a nasty look on accident as a response, as if silently judging you for choosing someone like him to date and spend your time with. He hasn’t quite processed everything yet, so please forgive him when he either doesn’t respond or mumbled a very quiet “love you too”

His heart is shattered, thoughts about you loosing interest in him or not loving him anymore now running in circles over and over in his mind. Those three simple words can do so much with a person’s mind, can’t they? Giyu grows immediately extremely quiet, pulling away from you and heading off to any available mission right now or going to train, trying to give you space. He tries to concentrate on training or the missions but he keeps thinking about you not saying that you love him back. Giyu feels so nervous and nauseous about coming back home, thinking you are not there to greet him and gone forever, or suggesting to break up. He may be overreacting, but he just can’t help it!

Once the water hashira walks through the front door of your shared estate, carefully looking around for your presence, he spotted you in the bedroom. Giyu brought all the courage he had together for this: “I love you.” You lifted your gaze and glanced at him, giving your lover a small smile. “Love you too.”

Oh! His shoulders visibly sagged, tension leaving his body. He gave you an awkward nod before leaving. So his overthinking was all for nothing.

This was inspired by this post (from the Genshin fandom) and I wanted to write my own kny version of it, even if it’s not as long or detailed as the original XD

Anyways, I somehow got sick again and wrote this during the periods I did not feel nauseous but I hope you all enjoyed this anyway <3

Giyu gets jealous of your weighted blanket.

You snuggled into your precious weighted blanket, a small smile and content sigh escaping your lips as you prepare for a small nap. You were doing all of this while Giyu, a perfectly good boyfriend to hold and maybe even kay on top of you while you slept, delivering you both comfort and closeness. He knows it’s slightly odd being jealous of an inanimate object, a blanket out of all things, but watching you curl up in it and get all snuggly makes him feel… left out.

Maybe he’s imagining it or his overthinking was in full process again, but you look almost a little happier being held by your weighted blanket instead of being snuggled by your cuddlebug.

One evening, your boyfriend was silently watching you get comfortable with your blanket again, finally deciding to ask you why exactly you insist on sleeping with this thing every night, even during scorching summers. It made you feel safe, comforted. The pleasant weight distributed on the surface of your body helped you relax. Feeling a little guilty for becoming so jealous over something that helped you find comfort, your boyfriend’s expression softens quietly as you offer him to join you in the warm blanket. Of course, Giyu took on your offer without hesitating, and you were right, the blanket makes him feel secure and comforted, in addition to the affection he got from being held by you. You watched as Giyu seemingly gave into being compressed by the weight, his face shifting into bliss while his arms loosely were wrapped around your waist.

You also began witnessing how your boyfriend was slowly shifting away from you, hogging the weighted blanket all for himself while he was acting like he was asleep, ignoring your grumbles and quiet complaints about him stealing the damn blanket he was jealous of in the beginning!!
