Just rewatched the tsunami arc and had a few realizations. It was 100% a choice that when Buck goes to carry the bear he puts it over his shoulder and supports it with his arm the same way he later does to Chris when running from the tsunami wave (this is why I love this show) .

I would also like to point out how Eddie and Buck hold Christopher in moments following when they had thought they had lost him. These weren't the best images cause I think Buck hugs him this way a few seperate times in Sink or Swim (possibly later episodes as well), and Eddie does as well. They both have one arm wraped around him and one hand on the back of his head to support him and hold him against them. This just further cements in my mind how this episode sort've showed how Christopher had become not just his "best friend's son" but maybe more than that for Buck.

(This is probably phrased horribly, and my grammar probably sucks but I hope it makes sense).
