all about mobility
what is mobility & how is it different from flexibility?
mobility is the ability of the joints to move through their full range of motion, while flexibility is the ability of the muscles to temporarily stretch.
why do mobility training?
there are many different benefits of mobility training, including:
increased flexibility
reduced risk of injury
improving joint & muscle health
improving range of motion
improving posture
gaining muscle strength
balance & stability
reducing pain & stiffness in the body
when should i start?
now! there’s a common misconception that you shouldn’t need mobility training until you are in your later years and your mobility starts to decline, but mobility training is useful no matter your age. in fact, the sooner you start, the less mobility & joint problems you will experience as you age.
how often should i train mobility?
mobility training is safe and beneficial to do daily, but ideally, you should try to train mobility at least 5 times per week for at least 5-10 minutes each time.

Slow Motion Mountain Climber
summary: leah signs up for pilates, what could go wrong?
warnings: none
a/n: based on this request !
word count: 981
-
Leah texts you on a Tuesday morning, right before your alarm, like she does whenever something has gone terribly wrong in her life. Like when she found out gluten was in soy sauce, or when she discovered she might have to use that godforsaken 6 train in New York. This time, it's a message that reads: Just signed up for Pilates. You may never see me again.
You roll your eyes, groaning at the incoming rant that's sure to follow. Leah's the kind of person who only does new things for one of two reasons: someone dared her, or she's trying to prove to herself that she is still young and can get away with eating three chocolate croissants in a single sitting. You suspect it’s a combination of both. She’s mentioned something about trying to build a "strong core," which you assume is code for "I'm slowly being bullied into this by the fact that all my teammates have six-packs and I have a soft spot for bread."
At 7:45 AM, just as you’re pouring coffee, Leah calls. You pick up on the third ring because you’re not a monster.
“I’m going to die,” she says, without so much as a hello
“Bold start to the day,” you reply. “Anything specific, or is it just a general feeling?”
“Pilates,” she says, and it sounds like a curse word. “Do you know what that is?”
You almost spit out your coffee because, yes, you know what Pilates is. You’re not sure what’s more shocking: that Leah doesn’t know or that she actually followed through on signing up.
“Yeah, Leah, I know what Pilates is”
“Well, it’s hell. No one told me it was this hard. And the instructor—she’s, like, smiling at me while she’s killing me. How are you supposed to trust someone who's trying to make you do something called a 'teaser' while she grins like a lunatic?”
You can picture it now. Leah, in the middle of a room full of people who've been doing this since their nannies signed them up for ballet at age three, contorting herself on a reformer like it’s some kind of medieval torture device. Meanwhile, the instructor—probably named something like Tiffani with an 'i'—is telling her to “engage her core,” as if Leah didn’t already have a job that required her to do that for 90 minutes straight, several times a week.
“Did you die, though?”
“Almost. My legs were shaking. My abs—I didn’t even know I had abs. Why does anyone do this willingly? I’ve literally been fouled by Fran Kirby, and that was less painful”
“Maybe you should stick to yoga”
“Yoga!” Leah scoffs. “I can do yoga. That’s just stretching and pretending you’re one with the universe or whatever”
You let her have that one because there’s no use arguing with someone who once mistook a meditation class for an excuse to nap in public.
Leah continues, “This class, though—it's not natural. They make you put your legs in straps. Straps! Like a harness, but for your feet. And then they expect you to lift them while you're suspended in the air like some sort of flying squirrel”
You’ve taken Pilates before, so you know exactly what she’s talking about, but you can’t help but laugh. Leah, in her infinite wisdom, probably signed up for the most advanced class because, as she said once, “Go big or go home.” Now, she’s paying for it.
“Maybe you should ask to start in a beginner class,” you suggest, knowing full well she won’t.
“Yeah, no. I already told them I’m an athlete. Can’t back down now. But I swear, if one more person tells me to ‘breathe through it,’ I’m going to punch them in the face”
You imagine the looks on the faces of her Pilates classmates as she throws a fit in the middle of a serene, candle-lit studio. You’ve seen Leah frustrated before, but this is a new level of agitation, and it’s all directed at something she willingly signed up for.
“Maybe it’s good for you,” you offer, “builds character”
“Yeah, and scars. On my pride”
You laugh again because you can see where this is going. Leah, who tackles challenges like they’re personal vendettas, is going to keep going back to that class until she can hold a plank longer than anyone else, even if it kills her. Or, more likely, until she finds something else to distract her, like knitting or extreme ironing.
"I’m just saying," she adds, after a pause, "if I end up with a six-pack, it’s because I earned it. None of this ‘strong core’ bullshit. I want abs of steel. Like, I want to be able to crack a walnut between my ribs”
You’re crying with laughter now, imagining Leah doing sit-ups in front of a mirror at home, testing her progress with various hard-shelled nuts.
“Don’t worry, babe,” you say, trying to calm yourself down. “If you do get abs of steel, I’ll make sure to bring walnuts everywhere we go”
“Good,” she replies, and you can hear her finally start to laugh along with you. “You’re on walnut duty. And if this all goes horribly wrong and I never make it out of Pilates alive, just know it was the straps that did me in”
You shake your head, still smiling. “You’ll be fine. But maybe next time, start with a class that doesn’t sound like it was designed by someone who secretly hates people”
Leah sighs dramatically. “Noted. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to spend the rest of the day lying flat on the floor and cursing Joseph Pilates”
“You do that, babe,” you say, hanging up as you imagine her sprawled out on the carpet, texting you updates about how her muscles are rebelling against her. And you can’t wait to read every single one.

Yoga in Sims 3
Really enjoying the yoga mat mod from Kitabalibar and some cc yoga decore to match. Check out the links.
The latest update allows your sim to improve their athletic skill while practising yoga.
This sim is not even a level 1 athletic skill and can do beginner poses. It is similar to the sun salutation.
This sim is level 10 athletic skill so the beginner, intermediate and advanced poses are available. This is the matrix lol (sorry but I was freakin out when she was back bending, so funny).
Here are some intermediate poses. I believe they are available at level 4 athletic skill and Advanced is available after level 7, according to descriptions but i haven't tested that.
I haven't tried the advanced poses yet but there is a video run-through of the poses by this awesome simblr desiree_uk
It is really relaxing to watch. Unfortunately, the sim must finish the move before cancelling out which can take a little time.
On the plus side, they change into athletic wear during practice and then change into their everyday wear when finished.
I haven't noticed how it affects Hygiene yet but it would be cool if it didn't affect it as much as a workout.

day 9: suspension
itzy 1.2k words gender neutral reader insert Reader x Lee Chaeryeong NSFW
🖤 warnings: dirty talk, use of a suspension rig, reader's anatomy isn't specified~ 🖤
kinktober masterlist
connect with me! / masterlist
You knew she'd look good like this.
You knew, because you've seen her like this before.
Flying yoga is a ridiculous thing. For beginners, it's just hanging from the ceiling in a giant curtain. And even for experienced students, it's like a weird combination of exercise and circus performance.
You liked the few classes you took on a friend's free pass, though. It was interesting, and it definitely made your abdominals burn for the rest of the week.
And of course, you met Chaeryeong there.
Beautiful, interesting Chaeryeong. She's a dancer, so she had gotten the hang of flying yoga right away, putting the rest of you to shame and getting nonstop praise from the instructor. It was kind of captivating, honestly.
Her toned body just did whatever she wanted it to do, easy as pie, while the rest of you struggled and bent and coaxed yourself into the poses.
In the middle of a particularly strange move set, you'd gotten embarrassingly lost. You couldn't figure out why your legs were getting caught. You'd called for the instructor to give you a hand, but before she could make her way over, Chaeryeong was there.
"Just make sure you ankle goes..." She gently turned your leg to the side, first the thigh, then the foot. "There!"
Easy as that, your leg fell free, right into the position you'd been trying to reach by yourself.
You'd straightened up to get another look at the pretty girl who'd just had her hands on you. "Thanks."
She looked back at you, and then, to your delighted surprise, a little bit of a flush bloomed on her cute full cheeks.
The rest is history.
Now, you've upgraded your room in a really stupid way, just for this moment.
You've been thinking about this since you met her. Since that first day, in her little athletic set, brightly-colored sports bra and leggings that showed off her abs, her incredible lithe figure.
One of your friends helped you find the studs in your bedroom ceiling, the spots of solid wood where you could safely install hardware without hurting the room, or yourself. And into one of them, you'd screwed the top support of a suspension rig.
She just looked so pretty in the hanging scarves at the yoga studio. You had to see it again, in a little bit of a different context.
Your imagination ran. Sue you.
"Anything hurt?" you ask.
Chaeryeong shakes her head, feathery strands of her dark chestnut hair falling into her face. "No."
You brush her hair back again fondly.
She's standing on a box you'd brought in from the other room. Not the sexiest piece of equipment, but you don't want any risks of her getting stuck.
This isn't the beginning of the night, not by a long shot. For one thing, both of you are already naked, already several steps into the game. You'd had a nice meal earlier, had a nice long talk about the scene you'd intended to have, and now you're here.
Now, Chaeryeong's wrists are strung above her head, but not pulled tightly. The ropes are new. The cuffs, you'd already had. Which is helpful, since you can vouch for their comfort and strength. If you tighten the rope, and remove the box, she'll be hanging just about right, toes barely on the ground.
"You gotta tell me if it hurts," you say.
She smiles. "Isn't it supposed to?"
It's a good thing that she's just as bad as you are.
"Chae."
"I know my safeword," she says, rolling her eyes, good-natured.
"We're not doing shit if you're not taking it seriously," you say.
She pouts. "Oh, I'm taking it very seriously."
She's such a pain.
But you kick the box out from under her feet.
Once the surprise passes - she shrieks a little, which is cute - and the realization sets in, Chaeryeong's expression changes. Something softer. You never know quite how to explain it back to her, when she asks, but when she's really feelin' it, her whole demeanor changes. Coy. Sticky-soft.
The rope is taut now, the cuffs keeping Chaeryeong suspended by her wrists. You measured well; her feet aren't quite touching the ground, close enough that you can easily help her but not so much that she can stand by herself.
"Oh," she breathes.
She looks at you with those heavy saccharine eyes.
You thank your lucky stars that you'd chosen to do this not in the middle of the night, but in the evening.
Golden sunlight still comes in your windows, buttery and half-dampened since twilight is coming fast. It's enough to illuminate her where she hangs, playing off the warm color of her hair. Bending around her bare curves, highlighting the dip of her ribs, the gentle curve of her spine into her ass.
She's so pretty.
Hanging there, unable to move, and all yours.
You don't want the tension on her wrists to be too much, too fast, so you indulge right away.
Gathering her in your arms, you have her wind her slim legs around your waist. She's sitting higher, like that, and the ropes have some give, so that they're not tugging on her quite so much. It has the added perk of being able to feel the heat of her against your lower belly.
So, she's enjoying this, too.
"Still doesn't hurt?" you ask.
Her hair is warm under your palm as you smooth it back again.
"No," she says.
"What should I do with you?"
She flexes her arm experimentally, making the chain connector on the cuff rattle above both of your heads. "I dunno."
You grin. "You can't think of a single thing you'd want me to do?"
"Well, I-"
"Because if you can't, I have a few ideas."
Chaeryeong laughs softly. "Oh yeah?"
"Wouldn't you like me to fuck you like this?" you ask.
You hitch her a little higher in your arms, letting her lean back so that the cuffs tug at her wrists again, keeping her suspended between you and the rig.
"It would be fun," you coax.
"Yeah," she says.
Her voice is small, but you trust that she's just thinking, not that she's not into it.
"So pretty like this," you say. "Just like a little doll for me. Hanging up like a sculpture."
She whines, high in her throat. If she had full use of her hands, she'd probably be hiding her face by now.
But she can't. She's just looking at you, flustered, wide-eyed.
"Is that something you'd like?" you ask.
She nods.
"Imagine how that'd feel," you tease. "Just hanging here. Taking it. Being good for me."
You're not sure where all of this is coming from, but it's making Chaeryeong blush and squirm against you, so you're content to keep it going.
"Please," she says.
"Please, what?"
"I wanna...can you...?"
You need to get ready, if you're going to give her what she wants, so you carefully release her legs, letting her drop back to hang completely on the rig.
Frustrated, she tips her head back, sending her hair cascading down her back. Her posture, from here, in the darkening room...waves of hair, the long lines of her body...
Like a figurine. Like a marble Venus.
Oh, you're not sure if you're going to survive this.

I am an unpublished author, teen author, fanfiction author, beginner author and possibly many other things!!!! These factors don't make me or anyone less of an author, because you can write fanfiction and still be an author! You can be unpublished and still be an author! And you can be younger than most and still be an author!!!
Guess what! I will do requests!!! If you want to, send in a prompt for a one-shot! Look at the bottom for my request info!
What I write?
• I wanna write a lot of k-pop fanfiction's as of right now
• I write my own stories, and I would one day like to be an actual author
• I specialise in romance-type and heavy smut stories
• One-shots
• Multichapter fics
• And I'm gonna write/make a lot of WIPS (the list is endless!)
• Request reminders!!!!!
• I have a right to refuse requests!
This isn't me being rude and I'm sorry if you feel that way! It's just that I'm trying to stay safe online and if I'm not comfortable writing something I won't write it.
• I can write one-shots or mini-fanfics!
• I will do: Ships, SFW, Angst, LGBTQ+, one-shots, mini-fanfics, NSFW, Alcohol, _________ x reader, raceplay, gender-bent, alternate anatomy: boypussy | girlcock, regular stuff
• When it comes to requests try to send in ones that align with the fandoms I'm in!
• This is an LGBTQ+ safe place, everyone is welcome!!!!!
• If you don't like, don't interact, please! Again this account will be dark and freaky and may contain uncomfortable and triggering themes. i always content warn and tag the content that i know is sensitive so that people who don't want to see it, don't see it! i encourage those who are uncomfortable with what i write about (see below for specifics) to utilize the block and blacklist features to their liking! i can be slow to answer asks, i have a job and i am also neurodivergent so apologies in advance if it takes a while.

What Are the Benefits of Yoga for a Person's Physical Health?
Yoga, an ancient practice with roots in India, has transcended its spiritual origins to become a mainstream form of exercise. While many associate yoga with flexibility and pretzel-like poses, its benefits extend far beyond that. Yoga offers a well-rounded approach to physical health, promoting strength, balance, and a range of other positive outcomes. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a complete beginner, yoga can be a valuable addition to your fitness routine.
Building Strength and Muscle Tone
Yoga postures, or asanas, engage various muscle groups throughout the body. Holding these poses for sustained periods isometrically strengthens the muscles, leading to improved tone and definition. Unlike weightlifting, which can isolate specific muscle groups, yoga works the entire body in a more holistic manner. This is particularly beneficial for beginners, as it helps build a foundation of overall strength.
Strength Benefits:
Improved core strength, leading to better posture and stability.
Increased upper body strength, beneficial for daily activities.
Stronger lower body muscles can improve balance and gait.
Many yoga styles, such as Vinyasa and Ashtanga, incorporate movement sequences that build strength and endurance. These dynamic flows can be a great way to challenge yourself and build a stronger physique.
Enhancing Flexibility and Range of Motion
One of the most well-known benefits of yoga is its ability to improve flexibility. Yoga poses target tight muscles and connective tissues, gradually increasing their range of motion. This not only improves your ability to perform the poses themselves but also enhances your overall mobility and reduces the risk of injury in daily activities.
Flexibility Benefits:
Increased range of motion in the shoulders, hips, and spine.
Improved ability to bend and twist, enhancing daily activities.
Reduced muscle stiffness and tension.
Yoga for beginners focuses on gentle stretches and modifications, ensuring you don't push yourself beyond your limits. As you progress, you'll find yourself becoming more flexible and able to explore more challenging poses.
Improving Balance and Coordination
Yoga poses often require you to maintain balance on one leg or with different parts of your body in contact with the ground. This constant focus on balance translates to improved stability in everyday life, reducing the risk of falls, especially for older adults. Additionally, yoga sequences that involve transitioning between poses enhance coordination and proprioception, or your body's awareness of its position in space.
Balance and Coordination Benefits:
Increased stability and reduced risk of falls.
Improved proprioception for better body awareness.
Enhanced coordination for daily activities and exercise routines.
Many yoga classes incorporate balancing poses, even for beginners. These poses can be modified with props like blocks or straps to make them more accessible. As you gain confidence, you can progress to more challenging balancing exercises.
Maintaining a Healthy Spine and Posture
Yoga emphasizes proper alignment throughout the practice. Holding poses with a straight spine and engaged core muscles strengthens the back and improves posture. This can alleviate back pain caused by slouching or poor posture, promoting a healthier spine and better overall body mechanics.
Spine and Posture Benefits:
Strengthened core muscles for better spinal support.
Improved posture, reducing back pain and discomfort.
Increased flexibility in the spine for a better range of motion.
Yoga for beginners often focuses on poses that promote proper spinal alignment. As you progress, you can explore more challenging backbends and inversions that further strengthen and improve spinal health.
Benefits Beyond the Physical: Stress Reduction and Relaxation
While the physical benefits of yoga are significant, its impact extends beyond the body. Yoga incorporates breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation techniques that promote relaxation and stress reduction. By focusing on your breath and calming your mind, yoga can help manage stress hormones, leading to a feeling of well-being and improved overall health.
Stress Reduction and Relaxation Benefits:
Reduced stress hormones like cortisol.
Improved sleep quality.
Enhanced sense of well-being and relaxation.
Many yoga classes incorporate periods of relaxation and meditation, even for beginners. These practices can be a valuable tool for managing stress in everyday life.
Yoga for Everyone: Modifications and Accessibility
One of the beauties of yoga is its adaptability. Yoga poses can be modified for all fitness levels and physical limitations. Whether you're a beginner, recovering from an injury, or have limited mobility, there's a yoga practice for you.
Many yoga studios offer beginner-friendly classes that focus on foundational poses and proper alignment. Additionally, there are numerous online resources and yoga for beginners programs that cater to specific needs and limitations.
