Jervis as a golden retriever who used to be from a happy home, but A.R.S.E. (yes i know the acronym is unfortunate for my non-plague dogs readers) and their relentless experimentation has given him extensive irrational fears and scrambled the shit out of his brains. Yeah. Arkham, much?

Harley is a golden retriever too, but unlike Jervis her experiences at ARSE lead her to a life of rebellion after escape.

The Riddler as a cushy lapdog who, through experimentation, understands concepts unbeknownst to other animals. While he is technically smarter than everyone else, he is never taken seriously. (Sorry Ed.)
