to make it easier, maybe for maya fey specifically! I feel like you probably have a lot of thoughts on her

HI sorry for ignoring this ask for 12 days im gonna do it now (very very long post like holy shit how did i even type this much)

okay so for maya i have. a lot of hcs. basic stuff first she it trans (she/her), lesbian, poly, fat, and mixed black+japanese. actually there's a bit more to the fat headcanon cause i think she gains weight as she gets older, sort of as a "weight gain to represent healing" type of thing. i think around aa1 timeframe she's closer to her canon design but as she reaches more into adulthood she gains weight over time and is happier that way (part of this is because gaining weight is usually a good thing for transfems on estrogen)

okay anyways here's the part where i rant about trans maya stuff. actually i should probably talk about trans mia first cause theyre both trans in my hc and her transition actually plays an important part in maya's experience. basically mia was the first trans kurain spirit medium, before her it wasnt known that a trans woman could be a medium, but that all changed after mia realized she was a girl. for a while (months? years? not sure) mia thought that she would never be able to channel and just accepted the fact that she could be a woman but she wouldnt be able to channel, but eventually eh found that her realization of being a girl actually awakened significant spiritual power within her.

so anyways, onto maya, similar to mia she realized she was a girl when she was young, some time after misty left but while mia was still around. when mia came out, misty was very accepting in letting her transition, but with them under morgan's care they were both worried things wouldnt go as well. fortunately, mia would not let anything stop her sister from transitioning. i'm not completely sure if i think morgan would try to stop maya from transitioning or not (like yeah she's evil but idk if i see her as transphobic lol???) but if she did try to stop her mia would fight back no matter what.

anyways, maya transitions, but unfortunately things end up harder for her than mia, as maya isn't able to channel spirits. while she shows some signs of having spiritual powers, she's not anywhere close to as powerful as mia or any of the cis mediums in the family. this is deeply painful for maya and becomes a horrible source of dysphoria. how she sees it, if she can't channel spirits, she'll never really be a woman. in reality, this dysphoria is entirely false, plenty of cis women in the fey clan don't have spiritual powers (even morgan!). mia comforts her by telling her this, that she will always be a girl even if she can't channel spirits. this helps maya a lot, but it still isn't enough to fully rid her of her irrational dysphoria. it's all very hard for her, and i think morgan would definitely make everything worse for her, likely reminding her of her inability to channel for no reason other than to hurt her and make her feel inferior. but mia's positive influence helps her make it through everything, even if she does struggle a lot.

anyways, aa1 happens, and she's finally preformed her first channeling. but there's still a ton of doubt in her mind. despite now knowing she CAN channel, she's still struggling with this same dysphoria. probably thinking along the lines of. 'the only was i can channel is if i'm an urgent situation. If i was a real woman, i could channel at any moment, but i can't. I'm still just a man and nothing more." this all culminates with her inferiority complex in Turnabout Goodbyes. I actually really like reading into Maya's struggle in turnabout goodbyes as a representation of dysphoria, because the way she's hurt by not being able to channel mia is heartbreaking. hell, she literally says some genuinely suicidal things after the taser scene.

ultimately, I think maya finally begins to move past this dysphoria not because she learns to channel better, but because she finally, fully accepts mia's words to her, and i think Phoenix is really the person to finally help her out of it. sometime after turnabout goodbyes, maya opens up to phoenix about how hard this all is to her. tells him about how hard it is to feel like her womanhood is entirely dependent on a skill she struggles to grasp. phoenix would choose this as the time to finally come out to her that he too is trans, and would try his best to comfort maya, telling her how he's always seen her as a girl, how she should never doubt who she is just because she's not as skilled as her sister or mother. i think phoenix would feel some sense of guilt at this point, as he would feel like he played a part in maya's dysphoria since he was always hoping maya could channel mia again. with this, he would feel very motivated to help her through everything, both because of this guilt and just because he's now very committed to protecting maya. this of course wouldn't immediately fix everything for maya, but phoenix's continued support as they spend their days together would end up pushing her into learning to finally accept everything. over time, she's finally able to accept that no matter how strong or weak her spiritual abilities are, she'll always be a girl no matter what. of course, eventually she does become a very successful medium, but that takes much more time, and gradually freeing herself from her painful dysphoria helps her make it there.

My fave marauders ships and dynamics as a multi-shipper !! Ok so, there are certain ships I like to imagine as canon in the canon universe, and there are other ships that I prefer in aus and such but still ship them so much!! So I thought I’d just ramble abt them here lol.

My fave ships that are canon/I think I should be endgame:

First off, Jily ofc. My loves. I’m generally not super excited abt str8 couples but they’re just too cute. My fave dynamic with them is that they’re academic rivals — well at least lily thinks they are, James is just hopelessly in love with her and enjoys competition lol. Lily thinks he’s an idiot, immature and a bit of a bully at first but slowly warms up to him as she sees his kind-heartedness and stance on justice. Plus, she’s always found him a little hot :)

Wolfstar, duh. I don’t think I have to go into detail coz I already do so much on my blog lol.

Dorlene — aaah I love my tragic, angsty lil lesbians. Sucker for the quidditch-rivals-to-lovers trope. Ooh and i headcanon Dorcas as transfem. But yeah if you’ve read ‘the hands that feeds’ by rollercoasterwords that’s basically how I see their dynamic.

Fralice — cuties and did not deserve the ending they got ;((

Rosekiller — ok, ok. I know I’ve ranted abt how I don’t like the fanonization of their characters in fandom,, but I will admit I do like them together. Especially when they’re depicted as the awful people they are lol. I like to think that they’re still hooking up in GoF on nights where barty’s poly juice wears off lmaoo. Also random but I hc Barty to be in ravenclaw.

Pandora x Xenophillius (idk how to spell his name) — I like to imagine Pandora as a goth who runs an underground magical weed business and Xeno as a hippie weirdo and conspiracy theorist. Both are bi/pan tho and have def hooked up with ppl of the same gender before.

Andromeda x Ted Tonks — iconic. Love them. Andy was the og rebellious black family child.

Emmary — love, love this ship. For context, I picture Emmaline as a little older than Mary (maybe 2 or 3 years) and they meet when Em’s at the order. Mary’s a bisexual girlie who’s predominantly been with men at this point, and Em’s a big Butch lesbian who loves Mary so much but isn’t sure if Mary likes her back, at first. Ofc they end up together after the first war but when Em wants to join the second war, Mary oblivates herself and retreats to the muggle world entirely because she cannot bear more pain.

My fave ships that I like to think are semi-canon, as in their unrequited, or right person wrong time, or both have feelings that the other doesn’t know — they just don’t workout for some reason:

First off, Marylene — my absolute fave, right person, wrong time ship. Love the whole, ‘Marlene loved her too early, Mary loved her too late idea’. I’m a sucker for best friends to lovers ahhh. I imagine that Marls had crush on Mary since they were eleven and came out to her later, and although Mary was supportive she didn’t like her back at that point. Then Marls got with Dorcas and maybe Mary got a tad bit jealous. And then Marlene was killed ofc so Mary moved on and went with Emmaline, but she never really stopped loving Marlene.

Nobleflower — bi narcissa and Alice rights!! I like to think that they had a bit of a homoerotic friendship back in their hogwarts years, but the fact that they were on opposite sides eventually pulled them apart. And so Alice gets with Frank and Narcissa with Malfoy. Aaah so tragic I love them

Lily x Remus — I like to think Lily had a little crush on Remus when they were younger but she got over it and they became besties !!

Bellatrix / Lady Zabini — Toxic murder comphet lesbians!! Tho I imagine they ‘broke up’ their fling coz Bellatrix was murdering with pure blood fascism in mind,,, and lady Zabini was just like,, why can’t we just kill ppl for the sake of killing them?? 🥺🥺

Jegulus — ok so I don’t like jegulus as a canon(ish) ship, buuut I love me some unrequited jegulus, specifically from Regulus’ side coz sorry I just personally don’t see James ever liking Reg in canon. I imagine Reg goes into hogwarts wanting to hate the guy who stole his brother but ends up falling for him just the same. He has internalised homophobia and hates the fact that he’s gay, esp for someone like James lol.

Bartylus — My hc is that neither of them liked each other romantically, but they settled and got off each other to pass time. It’s transactional, at least it’s starts off being..maybe barty’s a little more into it than reg thinks they are.

Peter/Bertha Jorkins — I like to imagine they dated for awhile during hogwarts — until Bertha got bored of him and dumped him. Peter never really got over it and was still bitter.

Peter/Sybil — oooh I remember this one was trending on marauders tik tok awhile back but I’m still not over it. Happens after Bertha/Peter. Sybil breaks up with Peter maybe coz she gets a prophecy that he becomes evil. Peter is confused and heartbroken.

Snily — ok hear me out!! I don’t care for their portrayals in a lot of fics coz I think the pro / anti Snape bias is always there — but I would be open to exploring the complexity of their dynamic in a fic when snapes actions aren’t justified or excused, but he’s not portrayed as a one dimensional bad guy. And I think it would be interesting to explore more of Lily’s character and why she stuck by him so long.

Ok, now onto ships that I only enjoy in aus:

Marylily/macevans — by far my fave ship in aus. Best friends to lovers >>>> also half the marauders edits saved on my phone are marylily edits lmaoo they’re just so cute!!

Jegulus — requited this time!! If it’s an au and James is not reduced to a generic sunshine people pleasing character, then they’re a little cute I’ll admit. Not the biggest fan of the 'best friend's brother' trope but the drama is entertaining at least.

Mary/Dorcas — I don’t think they’re a very popular on here but I personally like it. In a way they’re opposites but they’re motivations are a lot more similar than they realise.

Pandalily — so, so cute. Fanart is spectacular

Dorlily — so academic rivals to lovers coded

Prongsfoot — specifically in aus where James and Sirius are on opposing sides, for example, slytherin!Sirius au

Wolfstarbucks — James and sirius share everything!! Including their lovers apparently. Mostly enjoy it as a crack ship tho.

Mike:

-I said previously that he always assumed he was straight cause he’s never been attracted to dudes, but then I remembered “oh yeah wait he’s trans that doesn’t make sense” so to explain that, I feel like he’s one of those trans guys who kinda always saw himself as a boy, even if he didn’t really have a way to put it into words, plus it’s not like he really thought about attraction and dating much, so when he was younger, he probably was one of those “girls” who didn’t fit in with other girls, had mainly guy friends (out of the few friends he had lol), and thought romance and dating seemed gross, so he wouldn’t talk about it unless other people brought it up, and he’d have to fight for his life every time he tells people that he in fact DOES NOT HAVE A CRUSH !! (No one believes him because no one ever believes that. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was one of those kids who just named some random classmate that he thought seemed vaguely interesting just to shut people up)

-I’d say he probably came out as trans at around 18, after he graduated. He probably knew he was trans earlier than that, maybe like somewhere around 15-16, but he didn’t want to deal with coming out and transitioning socially so he stayed in the closet until it was easier to kinda just…cut people out lol. He’s stealth and kinda just transitioned best he could without people questioning him, which wasn’t hard with his parents falling out of the picture and not really staying in contact with anyone from school (frankly I don’t imagine he was very popular lol) so like…yeah

-had a “looks like a lesbian with a boyband/justin Bieber type haircut” phase somewhere in his teenage years. Kinda didn’t care when people rumored about his sexuality. He didn’t date anyone so it just doesn’t really matter, but if people asked him directly he’d just say he’s straight cause again coming out as anything just seemed like a hassle

-had his first and only date (before Ness) at like 19/20 years old, and (as far as I’ve heard from the people talking abt the apparent fnaf movie novel) it’s canon that the girl didn’t wanna go on a second date because “his eyes were too intense” (autism💥💥💥) it was some random girl who asked him out, maybe a coworker or smth who thought he was cute, and he just said yes cause he didn’t really know what else to do and figured he might as well since it’s certainly generally considered embarrassing to have never gone on a date before as someone old enough to be in college (which he didn’t go to cause 1: money 2: he had to take care of Abby 💔💔💔) then after he was like “yeah I was right idk what the hype is about dating seems lame” (he’s a little dumb /j)

-he’s in his mid-late twenties, and I think his been on T for like 2-5 years, so he probably started T somewhere around 20-23. Again, realistically, no idea how he’s affording that, but…he did it 🤗🤗🤗

-the day this man discovers trans tape is the day this man finally learns a bit of peace (not as much as top surgery obviously but certainly more than regular binding)

-I reiterate once again that he binds so unhealthy. Wears his binder at home, wears it out, wears it when exercising, wears it from when he wakes up till he goes to bed, and he only takes it off at night because he literally HAS to and even then he still wears a slightly tight sports bra cause bro is NOT DEALING WITH THE BOOBAS (someone please stop him please good god how are his lungs still functioning)

-god at dressing to pass. Knows all the hacks. Even before T he passed pretty well, he just looked young. He knows all the right exercises to shape his body in certain ways, knows all the right kinds of clothes and materials to hide and accentuate the right things, dresses and acts like a man pretty easily because bro is just like that, he’s the kind of trans guy who’s basically just a cis guy with titties /hj like i said before he uses man soap (3n1 energy), he gets man haircuts at man haircut places, he wears man shoes that give him some extra height (being very stereotypical and gender-roley here but that’s legit just how he is)

-on that note, man’s height dysphoria is AWFUL !! Not to call Josh Hutcherson short (though let’s be real he is a short king and he owns that shit ((still taller than me though 💔💔💔)), but Mike is 5’5, which to some people is short even by women’s standards, so yeah he definitely wears thick shoes and shoe lift things to help him get closer to around 5’7-5’8 on a good day, and he definitely lies abt his height when he can get away with it

-the kind of guy who gets dysphoria over literally everything (“do I look like a woman when I sit like this?” “Are my eyes too feminine?” “I feel like how I’m walking is gonna out me” “the color pink cannot touch my body” “no I can’t sing that song, it’s sung by a woman” “does the way I hold this look girly?” “Why does my smile make me look like a girl” “this shirt makes my chest look big” “do I write like a man??” etc etc. all while he literally has a beard and is built like a brick /hj /lh)

Quinni was rather young when she realized she was a lesbian.

Maybe it was because she was unapologetically Autistic and therefore didn't have as much care for social norms. Maybe it was because she had two dads who were sure to try and keep their daughter informed. Maybe it was just because girls were really hot and she couldn't ignore that.

Regardless, one day she came home from school and excitedly told her dads about this pretty girl who had just moved to her school named Sasha and how she was so cool and smart even though they were all in 4th grade.

Her dads just exchanged a knowing smile before asking for all the details about their kid's first crush.

Dustin was in 6th grade when he fully had the thought of oh, I am NOT straight.

He figured it was puberty making his attraction to others harder to ignore because, in hindsight, he'd always found boys and girls equally as attractive.

"Hey, dad" he said one day after he came home from school.

"Hey, kid" his father replied. He seemed a little distracted, but Dustin didn't care. He was too excited about his realization to care. "How was school?"

"I like boys"

"Oh" his dad said. A tense moment passed and then he smiled. "Thanks for letting me know"

The first person Amerie came out to was Harper.

They were in 7th grade. It wasn't a situation where Amerie just suddenly realized then that she was bi- She'd always known she found boys and girls attractive- But that was when she first spoke it into existence.

"I'm bi" she said bluntly one night while Harper was staying over because her house was 'haunted' again. The platinum blonde looked over and smiled at her.

"That's sort of random"

"I just realized I hadn't told anyone that yet" Amerie shrugged. "Like, out loud. So why not tell you first?"

"I'm honored"

"Okay, smart ass" Amerie playfully shoved her and the two broke down into a fit of giggles.

After Amerie became more open about being bi in 7th grade, that gave Sasha the confidence to start being loud and proud about who she was.

She put "she/they" in the bios of all her social media accounts, much to her family's confusion. They sent their family a few articles about what nonbinary was and they weren't the most receptive but she didn't care. She was gonna be herself whether everyone accepted it or not.

They also became the school lesbian- Sure, Quinni had been out for a while but Quinni was weird and didn't have any friends aside from Darren and her dads. Sasha, on the other hand, was sort of popular.

She quickly went all the way into environmental and queer rights activism, much to some of the boys' amusement.

They were out, and they would never try to hide it again.

Darren had to come out to their parents twice.

The first time was rather uneventful. After Quinni had come out to her parents in 4th grade, Darren was inspired to tell their parents that they were gay.

Both of their parents took it... Fine. They weren't over the moon by any means but they weren't surprised, and they still loved them at the end of the day.

It was the summer before 11th grade, the year where the Incest Map would be discovered and change everything, when they decided to tell their parents that they were nonbinary.

This... Didn't go quite as well.

They figured it could've gone worse, for sure. They could've been kicked out or beaten or blatantly told that they just weren't, but they weren't given a pool of acceptance either.

Their mom was just annoyed because it was just another thing that would make her kid ostracized. "Wouldn't it be easier if you just kept being a gay boy?" she asked. Darren rolled their eyes. "I mean aren't gay boys respected now"

"But I'm not a boy, mom" they insisted.

Their dad's reaction was slightly better, but they could tell he didn't fully get it either. Neither of their parents got it, and tensions only rised from there, especially since their parents kept misgendering them and didn't seem super invested in trying, especially their mom.

Whatever, they thought. At least I have Quinni

Anthony wasn't given a choice when it came to coming out because the Incest Map was found and suddenly everyone knew that Darren- Who most people still just read as an effeminate boy- Had given him a handjob.

When his family got the call from the school, it was so bad that he wound up sneaking out of his window after the noise stopped and booked it to Spencer's.

Spencer's own parents didn't really care when they found out their kid wasn't straight- Then again, it probably sounded better since it came from him in response to the Incest Map rather than the map itself. There were no boys or Darrens linked to him on the Incest Map.

His parents were pretty absent in his life, so it literally didn't affect them, which he supposed was better than what happened to Anthony, who showed up at his doorstep at one in the morning, sobbing.

"Come in" Spencer said earnestly. "My parents went out for some sort of trip, so you won't have to worry about them" he continued. He barely had time to even tell his parents Hey, you probably heard about the sex map. Just so you know, it's not on the map, but I've definitely fucked around with boys before. Yes, including Ant. Please don't stop him from coming around we've never done it in this house, I promise before they left.

"My parents are really upset"

"About the Map?"

"About me getting a wristy from... Darren"

"Ah" Spencer nodded. Anthony's family had always been super religious. He should've seen this coming. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"What?"

"I mean, you've never shut up about how cool she is" he teased. She went slightly red. "I'd have been surprised if there weren't some other feelings there" he continued. "She's a nice girl"

"I don't know if she likes me back the same way" Harper told him. "I mean, I don't know either way, but I think our friendship is more important, y'know?" she asked, looking over at him. He nodded. "Just thought I'd tell you"

"I'm glad you can talk to me about this stuff now, ducky"

"Yeah" Harper smiled slightly. "Me too"

He'd done some research as soon as he was out, determined to find a label to fit what was wrong with him, and he did find one. Asexual.

- Yes, the toys took care of her but she doesn't remember most part of it, Mommy was the one who really considered her child, to the point where Player called her "mom" one time.

- The fabric close when she was in her 23-25 and worked to make Elliot notice her, it didn't work. Actually she is in her 30s (but tries to keep her 'teenage scene' like she likes to call it)

- Xer favorites were Catnap and Candycat before the events of Chapter 1, she actually had one hoodie for Catnap (which is shown on the drawing) and Candycat!

- She got a girlfriend (and she is worried sick about xer)

- Baby long legs was a bit jealous of her, but he really liked having an "older sibling".

- Elliot never payed attention to her, when xe started growing up and buy more female clothing, his dad never noticed. The toys accepted xer (even if they didn't quite understand what gender or these things were but Mommy was glad to have a daughter now) and when she started working in the factory she was treated like the rest.

- She hates her dad but she can't help but wish xe had his attention.

- She never was aware of the experiments the scientists made until she discovered all of it by Poppy.

- Xe has some trouble trusting Poppy later of the train incident.

- Her girlfriend and xer met when her partner was in a "tourist travel" on the factory, she got herself lost from the group and xer guided her back. Then, she got her number.

- Mommy, Kissy and Bunzo helped her to escape the day of the 'hour of joy' hours before: She wanted to have a date with her girlfriend, so they planned a way she could left duty without getting caught.

When she came back, the fabric was in ruins.

- The three did it because they knew that was her partner + this was a great way to get her out of this.

- The only smiling critters she had contain are Dogday, Catnap que solo veía de lejos y Bobby.

10. worst part of fanon Found. Family. It went from one of my most favorite tropes ever, to the one that makes me roll my eye the hardest. People can be close without calling each other family, they're allowed to be friends (Like hell I'm calling one of my old professors my "dad" or "weird uncle", or "mom" or "vodka aunt" we're JUST friends). I also don't like how it all just defaults to a nuclear family set of roles, like there has to be two parents, some kids, and then everyone else is somehow a cousin. I've been getting into GOT/HOtD lately, and damn THOSE family lines are easier to follow than some of the shit that gets passed off as "FAMILY DO NOT SEPARATE OR WE WILL SEND DEATH THREATS!!" And to harp on that second point, it just brings so much wank! I have a friend who made a super SUPER niche DGS ship, and no one ever said these characters were family before they started posting about it-- but one of the characters is often headcanoned to be a lesbian (which, yeah, I'm basic, I also hc the same), so when this "rival" ship came about, it was suddenly "fOuNd FaMiLy". Mostly, I just roll my eyes now at this trope, which is sad because it can be so beautiful. Family really can be a bunch of people you find, and it doesn't need labels!! to summarize: Fuck the concept of the nuclear family, all the homies hate the concept of the nuclear family

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

Seishirou Jigoku, he's big and dumb and beefy, pure babygirl <3 But in all seriousness, he is such a fascinating character to me! He really seems like the kind of person who could have done good things in his own little sector, totally inconsequential and mundane, but good. I think he shares a lot of the same characteristics as Genshin and Yujin, optimistic and a bit patriotic. I like to think that he was pretty close with Yujin, it was HIM that convinced the latter to go on the trip after the death of Ayame after all! I just love to think about him so much, how he is with those around them. When it's just him as the judge, he's calm and collected, serious and gets the job done. With Yujin (And I presume with Genshin as well), he's jovial, a little bit goofy and all around enjoyable to be around However, with Stronghart, he twists in on himself, and he leads himself to hell. They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and I think that really does describe his character so well! He wanted to change the court system in his home, to make it brilliant, but he had to eventually do the unthinkable that fateful night in the cemetery <//3 At the end of the day, he's a small and bitter man... DIRECTOR'S CUT! give me the rundown on Lemon Boy!

Oh god uhh. That is three whole chapters lol it's gonna be a bit long oof

Okay so like. The concept started from this Cavetown Album (called Lemon Boy, fittingly) and me singing Lemon Boy to myself one day and going, "huh. Apollo and Snufkin both fit this song. I should do something with that." (I pretty easily spiraled into shipping the two help)

I wanna be ten feet tall!! I wanna grow big red horns!! I wanna eat fire and snow!! And scare everyone!!

Uhh yeah go listen to Ten Feet Tall it's a good song. Very Apollo vibes.

(I love to write to music, if you couldn't tell. Sprinkling in the motifs or imagery of them is like my fave thing to do it's so much fun.)

It is very important to me that you understand that Apollo's love language is to shove. This is my headcanon and I will go to the grave pushing this agenda. XD

The concept of Apollo tracking down one of his old foster caretakers was actually something I came up with while jamming out a different story with Tega. It was a nice little heartbreaking thing to include in Apollo's backstory and so I put it here. Shit's fucked, my boy, I'm sorry.

(Maple and Ginger were purely named for food. Also lesbian couple because idk I will also die on this hill that Apollo is gay and had a lot of gay in his life.)

I am pushing an Agenda and y'all will have to live with it. XD

But for real, I just like the concept of a young Snufkin, not really knowing any other way to console his friend, kissing him first and explaining it after. Snufkin and Apollo can understand each other in a way not a lot of the other kids around them could, so of course they'd also have a bit of a different relationship than those others.

This was also a good setup for the final chapter but it's really the entire reason I wrote this fic, I wanted this scene where Snufkin kisses Apollo and then Apollo pays it forward later in his life.

so uh I wrote the Clay chapter *after* finishing the first and last chapters!! I was originally just not gonna include a Clay segment (he was giving me too much trouble), but then I had a burst of inspiration and slammed it out so hey Clay gets to be in this lol.

Also furthering my Apollo will bite agenda. I love the idea of Apollo not actually getting bullied because he fought back, but getting ignored and avoided actually because, again, he fought back. I think it fits his character pretty well to have that in his background, considering how desperate he is for validation.

Clay is also weird to me. Like, he's such a blank slate for characterisation that I end up not knowing what to do with him half the time and that kinda makes him boring to me. He's only fun because *I* made him fun, which can be nice but like. The Ace Attorney roster is filled with too many good characters for him to stand out at all. Dual Destinies made Clay an important fixture in Apollo's backstory, though, so fuck me I guess.

Finally, Klavier chapter!! I got to start off with Apollo just buying the concert tickets Klavier sent, which as you know is my favourite little detail. Klavier sending these tickets is such an unhinged move but Apollo then buying them without a second thought is just as unhinged, these two are dumbasses and perfect for one another. XD

IT'S ME I'M STILL MAD ABOUT THIS. Phoenix goddamn Wright you cannot make Apollo present two (two!!) pieces of forged evidence and then never apologise for it!!! And then Spirit of Justice rolls around with Dhurke's whole deal and!!! Makes everything worse!!!

I have a whole ten or so rants about how AJ's ending is made worse actually by SoJ's inclusion (because how could Apollo be "too new" to law when he grew up with a literal disgraced defence attorney?? How could he have nothing to say on the poisoned system when he's known Dhurke and Khura'in's whole deal for all his life??? I'm upsetti I am so upsetti about this) but I'll save that for another time >T

I just really like this bit. Absolutely added this scene it does not exist in canon, but. I like Apollo's last line. Maybe one day you won't be such a coward, Klavier. Maybe one day you'll stop running from the truth.

And agh. The whole conversation scene in the lobby is just. Catharsis but not. I ended up playing the comfortable-but-also-not mood the two got stuck in, Apollo reaching out and Klavier dodging his advances (like the coward he is lol) until Klavier finally does accept that offer. I just like their dynamic, two men touched by ruin and reacting to it in vastly different ways. Klavier runs until he sees someone else in need and Apollo reaches out against all of his better instincts. They're my faves <3

The end bit is funny specifically to me. Like yeah Apollo just spent a whole day making out and talking with Klavier and only when Klavier is like, taking care of him (making breakfast) does Apollo go "oh. Shit. I might desire this man romantically." Like lol amazing my fave. XD

- Honestly, the first thing that came to my mind rn was that Gally is bi. And then I just went, yeah, as everyone else is. And idk if this is something I should even put as a random headcanon here but I'm gonna do it anyway because I have thoughts on these people's sexualities and I'm gonna share them. So yes, Gally is bi. I'm convinced that this is absolutely the case. I saw one bi Gally edit like a year ago and totally went with it from then on. Minho's also bi. Thomas is. Sonya is. Brenda is. Teresa is. Newt's gay. Aris is pan. Harriet's a lesbian. Literally show me one straight maze runner character, I'm telling you there's none. Apart from rat man maybe omfg-

Anyway moving on though, onto the real stuff!

- Gally and Minho are friends, even if they’re not best friends, and honestly Minho's not the only one who's indeed friends with Gally. Everyone makes it seem like he's this lonely brooding type of guy, but hell, in the first film he was able to convince at least like 1/4th of the Gladers to stay with him even after their second-in command and the most important other keepers leave, and more than half of them to fucking sacrifice Thomas and Teresa to the Grievers. Which not only means that this man has a lot to say in the Glade and is also definitely rhetorically and psychologically skilled, but also that quite some people trust and rely on his judgement. Idk whether the keepers were just made keepers because they arrived in the Glade earlier than others (which I'm not even certain is actually a thing in the books but I'm way too lazy and tired to research) but I'm pretty sure that to stick with that title, you did have to play a big part in the shit that was happening.

- Despite almost always being picked on, Chuck was a little brother to everyone, not only Thomas. Every and any Glader had a sweet spot for this boy, even Alby. I mean, don't we get to see Chuck pranking Gally with Thomas, saying he usually does that with Minho?? Don't we get to see Alby giving Chuck the important role of being tour guide regardless of how many other people there are? Don't we get to see how much his death affects the group???

- Frypan's cooking actually could be good. Fight me on this if you want, I'll stand my ground. Frypan actually is talented, he could earn his spot if given the chance. But he's not. - Everyone loves the bonfire nights, and it's the only reason everyone is excited for Greenies to arrive too. Like, take the bonfire nights away and these people have nothing at all to look forward to anymore. So yes, they're spending their resources unnecessarily in a material sense, but without that, I'm quite sure that there would be much more boys like Newt. Bonfires are a mental relief for all of them, and honestly the fact that they're not having them every night is both resourceful and actually psychologically smart as well. It's important that they have them, and it's important that they have them in exactly the way they do. Now this might not be a headcanon because it is canon that they have them, but I needed to share my thoughts, because hell, they live in this depressing ass reality, facing the possibility of dying every single day, not knowing if there’s even anything worth working towards, and there was only one single boy who threw himself off of a wall.

I'm bored and in a kkg brainrot mood, so i'm just gonna rant about my opinions of kakegurui ships and i will make some headcanons:

Kirasaya

Ok i had to start with them bc they're just too iconic, i think they have one of the most interesting and complex dynamics in kkg, they really got me obsessed with them, it's probably my number one kakegurui ship and the reason i started watching the show and reading the manga. Honestly yeah their relationship has some power imbalance, since sayaka is kirari's secretary, and is probably disfunctional, but contrary to what some ppl say kirasaya is not abusive, kirari never physically or emotionally abuses sayaka throughout the story. Anyway they're a 10/10, peak lesbian yearning, if they don't kiss at least one i will jump the author. Probably one of my fav ships ever, i think they're made for each other and i can't see kirasaya with anyone else, they're just so good together and their chemistry is >>>>>>

Yumary

Ok this one is kinda an unpopular opinion bc most people like yumary, but honestly i can't get invested into it, there's something in this ship that doesn't make my heart go "fuck yeah they should be gfs". Personally i don't ship yumeko with anyone bc i can't imagine her in a relationship since her main thing is being a compulsive gambler, her existence revolves around it and she forms relationships when they're useful for her gambling games. I think yumary could be friends with benefits for some time, but after a while mary would probably break it off because i don't think she can handle a sexual/romantic relationship with yumeko and after a while it would make her go nuts. A friendship between them is already messy and complicated and honestly i don't think they are compatible that way. Yes they have chemistry and there's probably some mutual attraction but to me it's a no. Also can cishet dudes stop fetishizing this ship ? My vote is 6/10, mostly bc mary doesn't seem much physically comfortable with yumeko, idk mary just seems off with her in that sense and i prefer them as gambling partners or friends.

Meariri

I honestly love this ship, especially after reading the manga, they have such an great dynamic, i think they both care about each other, they have chemistry and i think they're compatible and that their personalities compliment each other, mary is often loud and aggressive and passionate while ririka is more closed off and quiet, they're like fire and ice and this case i think the saying "opposite attract" works with them. Mary counts on ririka and i love the fact that she is so comfortable with her physically (mary is almost always the one to initiate the contact, holding her hand, touching her head, etc) and ririka gets inspired by mary to be her own person and chase her goals. Plus they're really cute together, aesthetically i find them the most attractive couple, i'll give them a solid 9/10

Itsukaede

Lmao i don't even know if this is the correct ship name for itsuki x kaede, ok i don't hate it and i think they could work as a couple, it's not my cup of tea bc m/f ships bore me, but i like their relationship, they have the kind of old married couple dynamic that always works. 6/10.

Ryomeko

I can see it happening, i don't ship it, but i don't mind it either, i'm kinda neutral about ryota x yumeko, but i think he's one of the ppl who care about yumeko the most in that academy (with also mary ofc), the ship is boring bc ryota is bland (he's a good guy don't get me wrong and he defo doesn't deserve the hate he gets) and as i said previously i don't ship yumeko with anyone. Sorry i gotta give it 5/6 out of 10

Yumedari

Ok i love midari but just like yumeko, i don't ship her with anyone bc i see her as someone who's too much unstable for relationships, but i know that canonically she loves/likes/is attracted to yumeko so i don't hate this ship, i think it's decent, the only problem is that yumeko hates midari. Still i think that since they're the most insane mfs in that school somehow this ship could work. 6/10

Yuridari

Again midari in my eyes is kinda unshippable, but this ship is not bad at all, they would have that kind of bickering married couple dynamic like itsuki and kaede, i like it but it doesn't do much for me. 7/10

Ryomary

Jsjssjsksk i looked the name of mary x ryota's ship on wiki so if it sounds weird it's bc i don't know their ship name and i have looked at the first site google gave me. This ship is hard no, mainly bc ryota is very bland and i consider mary a lesbian (i read that she is a canon lesbian but idk if it's confirmed by the author, let's say lesbian mary is just my hc) so shipping her with men feels like a hate crime to me, mary is for the girls only, 4/10.

Tsumary

They are kind of cute together right ? I think they're adorable, tsuzura is mary's first love and i think that someone like her would make mary very happy. I still haven't finished kkg twin, so my opinion on tsuzura is incompleted and it might change, i don't hate her but i find her character a little basic/boring so even though this ship is cute it doesn't make me fall in love with them. 7/10 bc probably also tsuzura had feelings for mary and they have a healthy dynamic, you can see they love each other.

Midasaya

I enjoy this crackship, i know that they both like different people but i headcanon that they were together during middle school or that midari had at least a small crush on sayaka during that time, before kirari came to hyakkaou i like to think that they explored their sexuality together so midari was probably sayaka's first kiss, her first date, etc, so they would have history together and we also see that midari knows sayaka bc her character is described through her pov during tower of doors. I find this ship pretty funny bc sayaka is always so serious and composed and midari is a ball of chaos. 7/10

Yumesaya

This is another crackship i don't mind and find hilarious, yeah i'm a huge kirasaya stan but i'm also a multishipper and sayaka deserves all the girls in the world, so the more the merrier. I like to think this ship as one sided love in which yumeko sort of pines after sayaka and i think it would be very interesting to see kirari being jeaulous that sayaka is getting yumeko's attention. We saw jeaulous/protective sayaka in kakegurui, but i would also like to see how kirari reacts when someone tries to take sayaka away from her, it would be really interesting. Obv this would create some tension between kirasaya and also between kirari and yumeko, almost a sort of love triangle dynamic. My opinion is that yumeko is just too unstable to settle down, also they both probably would get bored/lose interest in each other after the heat of the moment. 6/10

Ririsaya

Sorry but i really can't see it happening not even if i squint, but i really enjoy the ririsaya fanfictions and i think those works are pretty great even though i don't ship them very much. It would be interesting if both twins were in love with sayaka and there was some tension/coldness between them for a while bc they liked the same girl (maybe i read too many fanfictions). My headcanon is that both sayaka and ririka had a crush on each other when they first knew each other and for sayaka it was probably pretty confusing bc she already had feelings for kirari. I see them as friends, 7/10

Yumemisaori

Again idk if this is the correct name of the ship, many said that yumemi and saori are a healthier/mentally stable version of kirasaya and i agree. the dynamics are similar bc we have the secratary that is willing to do everything for her boss and the relationship is a little more balanced, i think they would be very cute together, but sadly they had very little interactions and if i could see more of them i would probably ship them even more. I like them 7/10.

Sachiko x Mary

I didn't even find a ship name for this couple, so they must be pretty unpopular, i like both characters and their antagonistic dyanamic is very interesting, but i don't ship them much bc i think mary needs/wants someone who is completely different from sachiko, who wants to make mary her pet and mary is someone who cares very much about her freedom, her indipendence and wants to make her own choices and this completely clashes with sachiko's extremely sadistic and domineering nature. I prefer them as enemies who have some sexual tension or enemies with benefits or one night stand adventure, but nothing more. 5/6 out of 10 bc the only mary ship i really love is meariri and i also like tsuzumary a bit.

Sachiko x Mikura

This is probably one of the most unhealthy relationships in kakegurui, but i kinda like it. Their dyanmic is pretty much vertical with sachiko who has all the power and makes mikuro do everything she wants and mikura who is completely obsessed and devoted to sachiko (my opinion is that she developed a sort of stockholm syndrome towards sachiko). I think that someone like sachiko could never have genuine romantic relationships bc of her extremely sadistic nature, she sees ppl like toys to break and what she enjoys the most is seeing ppl suffer, so the only compatible person with sachiko is someone extremely masochistic like mikura. Giving them a 6/7 out of 10 bc their interactions are fun/interesting and spice things up.

Rin x Ibara and Yumeko x Kirari

Hard no to both of them, i don't ship incest, yall can do what you want but personally it's a huge no for me. When i first started watching the anime at the beginning i thought yumeko and kirari had some sort of tension and could have been enemies to lovers (lmaoo i was so naive), but then i discovered they were cousins and i saw more kirasaya interactions so i got completely turned off by this ship. 3/10 to both of these ships.

Sachiko x Sakura

Now this ship is very sexy, idk why i like it but i do, yes i don't see sachiko with anyone besides mikura, but this pairing is not bad at all, even though it's a crackship. I think they would be rivals with benefits and would argue a lot and then make out/have hot sex. 7/10 (maybe it's too high but since these are just my opinions i won't be objective)

Mary x kirari

Uhm is there really someone out there who ships them ? Yeah i thought they had some sexual tension in s1 with that tea scene, but it's a no from me, i don't like it and i don't think they're compatible in any way, i can't see kirari with anyone who isn't sayaka. 4/10

It was a little funny with my sexuality headcanons for Ámbar and Nina when I started watching season 1.

Cause while I eventually headcanoned Ámbar as bi and Nina as ace + biromantic, for both of them I actually in the beginning had a lesbian headcanon.

It's funny because usually, I start off having bi hcs and then see if they change, but this time it was the opposite.

So Ámbar in season 1 had 0 chemistry with any boy. She really didn't have any chemistry with any boy outside Simón imo. She was however, incredibly obsessed with Luna. Talked about her all the time, thought about her all the time, stared at her sleeping, etc (keep in mind that neither she or we (correction: me) knew they were cousins at this point so shut up). We also got the strict guardian with the "you are way too obsessed with that girl" lines - I immediately got a "rich girl afraid of losing status if she comes out" vibes. Plus, I think I had some recognition to her after the mean girl from the previous DCLA show - which was a character I headcanoned as a lesbian, so now when I saw Ámbar I saw similarities. Ámbar ofc has a lot of vibes with Emilia, but Emilia came in S2, and by S2 I had changed my hc to bi.

And with Nina, it was that it took me a while to actually feel like she was in love with Gastón. She said she was, she said that pretty early on, but I just didn't feel it until like half the season had gone by. Of course, I do think she may have had a crush on Luna at some point, but it's really not only that i'm going for with this. Nina also had the line "the word boys aren't in my dictionary" and that was the LEAST straight thing I had ever heard anyone say. But the biggest thing that got me with this headcanon actually regarded her parents - her mom was so overprotective and nosy in s1, and I got this fun idea in my head of "closeted lesbian with nosy parents who try to figure out her secret". Especially with how her parents could be like "ooh, you're in love with a boy, huh?" - they were correct ofc, but imagine if it was actually that their daughter was a lesbian. I knew that canonly this wasn't true, but idk, sometimes it's more entertaining to watch stuff in different ways than what canon intended. But eventually, I actually felt like "no yeah, she's in love with that boy" - I think you can find me realize this at a specific episode even, if you look through my archive back when I liveblogged watching SL for the first time. I think I wrote "ok, maybe she's biromantic asexual" - cause even when I had a lesbian hc, I did always get ace vibes from Nina aswell. I don't really know why - I just took a look at her and went "you're ace" - similarly to how I just looked at Luna and said "you're pan" - they didn't really do anything to give me a reason why, it was just the vibes I got, period.

So anyway, it was a little fun with how these two were the ones where I actually started with lesbian headcanons and then changed it. That doesn't happen often.

Conclusion to this post is probably "I liked the what-if scenarios and that's why I had the hc in the beginning"

- sometimes when bruce has to go on patrol and can’t hang out with dick, drive them to school, etc. and alfreds gone, he’ll call jack and ask him if they can go over and take care of dick :D (jack rly does like hanging out with dick even if they say they dont)

- alfred makes two lunchboxes for bruce and dick when they go on patrol because he didnt ONE TIME and they came back starving and exhausted shdslk he fed them and gave them a lecture :)

-  sometimes, with bruces permission, jack and harley will take dick out to go shopping, get ice cream, just some real bestie shit- or they’ll come over and bake or play video games together. (bruce secretly loves it)

- jack is actually a rly good cook/baker and will make everyone breakfast in the morning after he’s stayed the night (bonus: bruce and jack got into a flour fight while making pancakes and alfred walked into the kitchen to see them on the floor losing it)

- dick has a sneaking suspicion that padre and jack arent just “friends”

- bruce and jack, flustered and stumbling over their words, quickly shut this “ridiculous insinuation” down. dick didn’t buy it but okay!

- jacks hair has gotten longer and bruce loves it so he constantly tries to come up with an excuse to braid it or run his fingers through it, but hes really bad at covering the real reason up bc hes stuttering n shit so jack will just smile at him and sit with his back against bruces chest and say “go to town, ya sap”

- bruce also is still trying to understand and learn more about all of the lgbtq+ terms/sexualities/identities, he wants to make sure that he is always respectful! he has however, come to the conclusion that he likes men and women >:) (he/him, cis, bisexual)

- jack got very excited when dick came to him for advice on these things because they love introducing and educating people on the community! he was also ecstatic when dick came out to them as non-binary and told him that their pronouns were he/they!! because now they were pronoun buddies!! jack is also ftm trans :D (he/him/they/them, trans, gay)

- i felt like i should do barbara because...idk i just want to sdshk- barbara, honestly just in this movie to me, is a straight ally (i think that apart from this movie that shes a lesbian!) who will attend pride events and pass out candy, give hugs, etc. she loves the community and like bruce, always tries her best to be respectful and correct when using her terms!! yayay! - harley!!! harley is a loud and proud bisexual woman and she is dating poison ivy >:)) who, i headcanon, is a lesbian YUUUP- harley was there for jack when they needed her and she was the one who taught jack about all of the terms and stuff :)) the three of them (harley, ivy, and jack) will go to pride parades/events together and sometimes jack will persuade bruce to go with them <3 (harley: she/her, cis, bisexual. ivy: she/her, cis, lesbian also off topic but ivy is black and has long red braids fucking fight me)

Also since I'm on the topic heres my akatsuki gender/sexuality headcanons. Under a readmore bc it's long as hell.

• Nagato/Pein - nonbinary gay (they/it/he)

Idk I've just always seen them as nonbinary. I think they've known since they were a kid. Also I wouldn't be surprised at one point he had a crush on Yahiko. But at this point he's too caught up in everything to even consider getting a partner. I like to think it was the first one to come out in the ame trio.

• Yahiko - cis bi (he/him)

Cool guys like him are always bisexual like cmon. Was always very supportive of Nagato and Konan being trans.

• Konan - nonbinary/demigirl lesbian (she/her)

I go back and forth on whether she's nb or demigirl but she's def a lesbian. I think it took her a while to figure it out but was relieved when Nagato and Yahiko supported her. Same as Nagato, she's too caught up in everything, although I'm sure she sometimes sits and wishes she had a gf.

• Zetsu - bigender (they/it)

White Zetsu is nonbinary (a little feminine leaning but not transfem) and Black Zetsu is agender. I don't want to think about them fucking.

• Kakuzu - agender gay (he/him)

He's too old to give a shit at this point. He's too cunty for a partner and no one seems worth his time to him.

• Hidan - cis?? bi (he/him)

Idk he's also known he was gay for a while but he was the kind of gay kid that was like "yeah I'm gay what about it?". I say he's cis??? bc when he was younger/first joined I feel like when asked for his pronouns he would've been like "the boy ones" but now that he's been around different ppl with different genders, when asked abt his gender he's probably like "whatever". Since he's from a smaller village I'm sure there's little education abt lgbt things and people so he's learned more being in the akatsuki.

• Sasori - nonbinary gay (he/they/it/doesn't rly care)

Look at him and tell me he isn't transgender. He literally took his body and turned into a puppet. Again, I feel like he's also known he was gay/trans since he was pretty young, but he kept it to himself instead. Knowing Chiyo, she probably isn't as accepting and Sasori knew, so he just. Didn't formally come out. Once he left Suna he went all out ofc.

• Deidara - trans gay guy (he/they)

For Deidara I think it took him a while to figure out he was gay/trans. I like to think that while he was figuring it out, he identified as bi, and when he realized he just wasn't into girls like that, he fully embraced being gay. At the same time he was also figuring out his gender. I think when he got recruited into the akatsuki, he had been on T for a little while and had either gotten top surgery right before he joined or right after. He was just a baby gay/trans when he was recruited. I don't think he formally came out to his village. When he left he was still figuring shit out. I think him being attracted to Itachi confirmed he was into men.

• Itachi - transmasc nb gay (he/they)

Itachi also took a while to figure out his gender/sexuality. He never felt like a girl but didn't know being trans was even an option until he joined the anbu and was around Kakashi and Tenzo (who I also both hc as trans). He was like "no way" and talked to Shisui about it, and was the 1st one who he came out to. He was accepting and supportive of course. He then like. Explained and "came out" to Sasuke, who was rly young and didn't quite understand fully, but was happy to have a big brother. And then for a while he thought about coming out to his parents, he was hesitant but did it anyways. Mikoto was taken aback but accepted it, but Fugaku was less accepting. Not full on "get out of my house" disowning transphobe, but he just was even more distant. He probably told Itachi to not tell anyone else outside their immediate family. So there came even more repression for Itachi.

After the massacre he decided to finally go on T. He kind of held off on getting top surgery, since he was getting more sick he didn't know what would happen. But he has a naturally smaller chest anyway so he didn't rly mind.

The gay thing I think was much more recent/took him longer to figure out. I genuinely think he realized he liked men when he met Deidara. Idk he just seems like the kind of guy to not think about partners bc he was preoccupied with a bunch of shit. He was probably like "oh I'm gay" and thats it.

• Kisame - trans bi (he/him)

I go back and forth on whether he's trans or cis but I rlyyy like the idea of him being trans. The thought of Itachi having an older trans person to look up to is rly cute. He's had bottom surgery. Idk that much about kiri but I'm sure they like. Don't care if you're lgbt. As long as you can prove yourself as a fighter you're good.

• Obito - cis bi (he/him)

He's bisexual bc he's obsessed with Rin and Kakashi.
