Newt who would be stunned and surprised by your looks when you first came up in the box. Newt who tells the boys to 'back off' when they're making fun of you when you first arrived at the glade. Newt who would always be staring at you; through the bonfire, across the glade, and even when you're eating (literally all the time). Newt who is startled when both of your hands brushed at the slightest contact. Newt who would always guard you when you're showering. Newt who accidentally heard the way some boys talk dirty things about you and yell at them to shut up. Newt who would use his position as the 2nd on command to try to save you from alby's punishments when you break the rules. Newt who hopes everyday that you won't be a runner. Newt who would insist that you shouldn't be a runner which leads to you both arguing so loud which later on ended with Newt kissing you against a tree. Newt who knows that you can handle yourself in the maze but still gets scared that something would happend to you. Newt who clenches his jaw when a Greenie flirts with you. Newt who talks to Minho about taking care of you in the Maze. Newt who would tell you and even show you how much you really mean to him without being ashamed. Newt who accidentally calls you 'love' but later on calls you that all the time after seeing your shy reaction (he wants to see more of your flustered face). Newt who doesn't realize that he likes you until Minho jokingly tease him about you getting with other boys. Newt who is shockingly easy flustered whenever you flirt with him. Newt who would ignore his feelings for you until you're the only thing in his mind, and it makes him shy around you. Newt who would kiss you slowly as he brushes his thumbs against your cheek. Newt who enjoys your presence so much that he wants to spend all his time with you. Newt who would suggest to Alby that you should move into his hut once you both start dating to give your hut to the new greenie. Newt who would wake up more early due to his position as the 2nd leader and spend his time kissing your cheek and forehead gently and admire you're features, and whisper 'your so bloody gorgeous' and 'i love you' quietly. Newt who would always take every chance he could to be with you because he's busy as the 2nd on command. Newt who's surprisingly into PDA (not all of the time, and not too much, and it's more of a cautious possessive thing than just being cute in front all of the gladers; he normally stands behind you with his hands on your waist. His grip is gentle and he loves it when you relax your back into him).

tbh it's crazy and still unbelievable how i get requests btw I'm thinking of making a part 2 of this since i still have many more hc's of him on my mind and maybe make a smut or spice version of his hc's, but do you guys want that? (In case y'all don't know yet, i'm a really big simp for newt.)

What would tmr boys reaction would be if their S/O got kidnapped instead of Minho

- His s/o was not the type to throw themselves in danger

- however, when the berg showed on the horizon, they were one of the first people to put their hands on a rifle

- Thomas got there late, and there was no s/o in sight, so he figured they were safe

- until they sprang out of nowhere, trying to tackle Janson

- the nearby soldier knocked them out right away

- Thomas struggled against the two soldiers holding him down

- misplaced his shoulder in the process

- he yelled the name of his s/o so loudly he probably wouldn't be able to speak for a week

- a huge fight started, during it the kids, including his s/o were loaded in the berg and took off

- being reckless as he is, Thomas managed to keep Janson off board, beating the living hell out of him

- soldiers stopped him, but not before Ratman was half dead and bleeding

- Thomas didn't hide his tears

- was terrified Wicked would experiment on s/o, or kill, or God knows what else

- wouldn't stop thinking about how to save them

- would do anything to get them out alive

- would have dreams when he saves them and hugs and kisses them, wakes up with tears of happiness streaming down his cheecks only to realize it wasn't real and cry some more, but in fear and sadness

- after saving his s/o, Thomas is super overprotective of them

- like, every little thing, a paper cut or a bruise or a slightly different voice would make him run towards them, asking if they were okay

- eventually came back to normal

- but we all know he's soooooo caring and protective

- the moment he saw his s/o in Wicked's arms, his world stopped

- however, he got out of his stupor quickly, trying to run for you, but the soldier kicked his bad leg, causing him to fall

- when he finally managed to stand up, s/o was already gone

- he kept yelling curses at them, kept hitting those injured soldiers who were left there to die

- it helped nothing and he knew that

- honestly, he could've murdered someone if not for Minho, who held him in a tight hug until he calmed down

- his anger turned to an agony

- he was crying hard, because he was in terrible pain, physically and emotionally

- he vowed to get s/o back safe and sound

- would be the first to find them, as if he felt where they were

- didn't let go of their hand until they reached the Safe Haven

- both didn't go out of the hut for a couple of days, talking, crying and promising their love to each other

- when he barely escaped being captured by Wicked, he thought the victory was there

- little did he know they grabbed s/o instead

- s/o bravely fought the soldiers, but Minho couldn't see it

- and then his s/o stands on the berg, helplessness in their eyes as they take off

- and Minho just stands there, angry at Wicked, and furious with himself for being unable to help

- Newt and Thomas promise they'll find his s/o

- he became very grumpy after that, but also really really silent

- sometimes his bottled up feelings would unleash on everyone because of any little thing

- like a stupid question, or a fallen fork

- he wpuld be so eager to find his s/o he didn't even think when he stalked inside the Wicked headquarters fighting off every soldier like they were bugs

- he found s/o exhausted, hurt and bleeding

- but they were alive, that's all that mattered

- hugged them all the way back

- watched as the medics patched them up, controlling everything

- never leaving their side while rlthey recovered

(The Maze Runner) You Get A Minor Injury

What Thomas, Newt, Minho, and Gally are like when reader gets a minor injury, pre-relationship and also during.

Warnings: Injuries, mentions of blood, scratches, scrapes, fluff.

Author’s Note:  In my fics/imagines/headcanons, Gladers are aged up, and also movie version.

Thomas:

"Ouch!"

Thomas immediately looks up from his task at the sound of your pained wince. The two of you had spent the afternoon clearing a section to make way for a new garden. In the final stretch of the project, the garden tool in your hand slipped and scraped your other arm.

You lift your arm to check out the damage, and Thomas is making his way over toward you before you could insist it was nothing. He isn't in a panic, but the concern's evident in his expression as he crouches down beside you, carefully taking your arm in his hands to inspect it. He concludes that it's nothing serious, and his gaze travels back up to meet yours, suggesting that you pay the medjacks a visit. He lets it go if you insist you're alright and don't need to get checked out. He keeps an eye on you, though, to make sure it doesn't get worse.

If you're in an established relationship, Thomas feels free to be a bit more open about his concern. If you didn't wish to stop work and go to the medjack hut with him, then at the very least, he's getting the supplies and bandaging you up himself. He'll pull you into a hug when it's taken care of, letting you know he just wants you to be alright even when it comes to the little things.

Newt:

You're standing a little ways away from your crew, taking a break from your hard work after a spectacular fall, when Newt approaches you.

He must have been making his rounds as second-in-command, checking the progress of each group of Gladers.

Newt seems puzzled at first as to why you've paused your work- Not suspicious, as he knows you do your part. When he notices the tiny red scrape on your chin, his curiosity turns to concern as he leans in to get a closer look. You glance down sheepishly at your palms, both a tad scraped up as well.

"You just missed it," you laugh it off, though internally you're extremely glad he did indeed miss it. One misstep had all but wrecked you, and the last thing you'd want was this handsome Glader in particular to witness it.

"Are you alright?" He lifts a hand to gently tilt your chin up to inspect the wound. He definitely pulls you away from the job to escort you to the medjack hut and won't hear any "but"s or protests of any kind on your part.

In a relationship, Newt feels more inclined to take the task of tending to your injury himself. He'd rather be the one to enter your space, dab at the little scrape on your chin with a clean cloth, and bandage your hands. You can expect a tender kiss on your forehead when he's all done.

Minho:

You wince, kneeling down to take a look at the wound. You can hear Minho's steps slow to a stop ahead of you before he swings back around to see what was the matter.

An unfortunate misstep during your routine run through the maze left you with a scratch on your knee. It's red, and there is just a bit of blood beading in certain spots where the scratch went a little deeper.

"Oh shuck," he murmurs, crouching. "You okay?"

"Yeah, it was my own fault," you replied.

"You're getting that checked out when we get back." It wasn't a question.

And you do. He's glancing over his shoulder at you the whole way back, and then he walks you to the medjack hut to ask for Clint or Jeff.

In the context of a relationship, Minho is more transparent with his concern. He's a bit more in your space, in a gentle way, inspecting the injury more closely and asking you more than once if you're alright. He's good at remaining calm. He's just focused on getting you the care you need. You can expect him to be a bit fussy after you're all bandaged up, insisting you take a break from running for a while.

Gally:

You had a slip-up with one of your tools, and you're trying to hide the evidence. You were not in the mood to draw the attention of the Keeper of the Builders with a minor mistake that you thought might make you look silly to him.

To your embarrassment, he happens to be walking by when you wince, shaking your hand to fan the slice on your finger. He stops immediately and approaches, and you quickly protest that it's nothing.

"Let me see."

You sigh and hold out your hand, gauging his reaction as he leans forward to take a look.

His lips pressed firmly together, brows furrowed in concern.

"Take five, Greenie," he tells you, nodding in the direction of the medjack hut. "Get yourself bandaged up."

If you do voice any other protests, the raise of his brow tell you they're futile.

In a relationship, Gally is less reserved about his worry. He knows things happen on the job. He can't exactly blame you. Sure, he'll scold any one of his guys if they were being a shank and got hurt doing something obviously dangerous, but for the average cut and scrape, he is actually pretty understanding. He'll still tell you to be careful while he inspects the injury more closely, but it's not from a place of frustration at you. It's his protective nature, and he just wishes he could protect you from even the little things.

My headcanon (i don't know if i understand headcanons correctly) is Gally, after losing one lung, living in Safe Haven experiences small panic attacks and loses control of his breathing, which is already difficult on a daily basis, so he has to use an inhaler

Now imagine newly arrived survivors who see this huge guy with a terrifying face suddenly start wheezing, only to pull out a tiny inhaler to use it-

This isn’t meant to mock; my fiancé is a two-meter-tall, 100-kilogram guy with asthma and a little inhaler <3

Tmr characters at school (in my humble opinion):

Newt minho and gally are a trio in PE

Gally takes the sports way too seriously he defo shouts at other students, looking like a tomato by the end of the lesson

Minho is once again just there for a good time. He's effortlessly good at all sports whilst simultaneously caring about none of them (except running of course (and for some reason i feel hockey)) he's the pe teachers fav and for that reason he can get out of any trouble, he defo uses this to his advantage. Also... he gets girls (it's me I am girls)

Newt is just the chill version of minho, does not give two shits about sports but is really good at all of them, hes mainly there to mess around with minho.

When he gets his limp minho is AGGRESSIVELY PROTECTIVE if anyone makes fun of newt he will "accidentally" shove them to the ground and make them eat a mouthful of AstroTurf

And he doesn't get in trouble bc he's the favourite lol

Newt also gets girls... but he doesn't want them he wants the awkward art and theatre kid doodling in the corner of the classroom THOMAS GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE

Thomas outside of school is a certified yapper, but in school, he is sworn to a vow of silence

Newt always chooses him first in PE because he doesn't want thomas to be the last one chosen (and also because he wants to watch thomas do sports newt I know what you are)

Teresa is straight A's and works really hard for them, she's all the teachers favorite and all the students least favorite (they're just jealous teresa 🙄🙄🙄) she has an academic rival (not romantic please😭) and that person isssssssss drum roll please.........

Frypan 💀

And frypan has no idea about this rivalry. He is effortlessly smart, does not revise, and occasionally bunks but still gets all A's. He's also chill with everyone at the school and can keep up a convo with anyone

And teresa gets PISSED

In her mind frypan is out to get her and hates her guts when really he barely knows of her existence

Chuck cannot catch a break bro

He's a year 7, been there less than a year and has been pelted with a panini on more than one occasion (wonder who would do that GALLY)

He cannot leave the cantine without his food being smacked to the ground

Wherever chuck walks, an spilled pot of pasta follows (GALLY)

He sits in the art room with thomas and yaps away whilst thomas draws (he's not technically allowed in there bc he's not an art student, but the teacher feels bad for him)

Alby is a beast at english. He doesn't talk to anyone, not bc he's shy but bc he doesn't fucking like them. Alot of the younger years think he's a teacher

Brenda is top set PE

She's also super into PE theory but doesn't like that class as much bc there's not that many girls in it and she wants to make some more girl friends bc SHES SICK AND TIRED OF THE PICK ME ALLEGATIONS AT THIS SCHOOL

She gets them bc her friends are mainly men (she hangs out with the newt minho gally group) so people just assume she's "not like other girls"

But then she gets into a HEATED debate in English about feminism and people lay off

Sonya INCREDIBLE at art hangs out with thomas alot people think they're dating when really he's dating her brother HAHAHAHA

-The Maze Runner Angst Headcanons-

I saw a bunch of people doing these, so I wanted to do my own! Sorry in advance if any of this headcanons are common or someone already posted them, I can’t remember them all ʅ（◞‿◟）ʃ

Brenda never really got the chance to say goodbye to her brother, so she made a grave for him in the Safe Haven.

Minho sometimes feels he’s in a simulation created by WCKD, so he he hurts himself because he thinks if he feels the pain he makes sure he’s really there. Gally notices his bruises and asks him to hit him instead of hitting himself.

Newt cries a lot but hates when other people watches him cry. Thomas caught him crying once and comforted him for hours after that.

The first few weeks, Thomas and Newt shared a room, but they had separated beds since they weren’t a couple yet. When any of them had nightmares they would sneak into the others bed.

Thomas has an immense survivors-guilt, he often has panic attacks because of that. The worst days are the ones where he wishes he could have died instead of his friends.

Gally will avoid touching spears. He can see them, touch them, but when he does he always gets this sad feeling, thinking he deserved to die in that moment after what he did.

There are some kids in the Safe Haven, everyone enjoys being with them, except Thomas. There’s a kid that reminds him to Chuck, he always tries to play with all the kids, but when he sees this one he just can’t take it and ends up leaving, feeling terrible.

Newt decided to cut his hair short because he believed his hair hold all those terrible memories from the past. He wanted to grow it back again but with new memories.

Jorge and Brenda often have discussions because of him being overprotective, even when they are already safe. Sometimes Brenda ends up saying things she doesn’t mean and hurts Jorge.

Vince often gets upset because he can’t get over the death of Mary. He thinks he will never get over it.

Minho and Newt were having an argument once. In the middle of it, Minho started to cry, believing this was a trick of WCKD to make him go insane. Newt felt guilty for a week after that.

When Thomas has a nightmare he tries his hardest not to cry, but after feeling Newt’s hand caressing his hair he just can’t hold it anymore.

Frypan feels useless. All he can do is cooking for his friends, he doesn’t like to use weapons and believes he didn’t actually help in the last city.

Medicine in the Glade: aka medjack headcanons from an irl medjack (part 1/?)

Jeff really did get the job by chance. He wasn’t part of the initial insertion group, but was the only one who took charge when people started getting injured on a regular basis

Clint was the first Greenie who actually seemed interested in what passed as medicine in the Glade. Everyone else didn’t have the patience or the stomach for it

They submit asks into the Box for actual medical supplies on a regular basis but are consistently denied

WCKD gives them the bare necessities: aspirin, gauze, sutures, and bandages

They use Gally’s brew as a rudimentary antiseptic and cleaning agent for suture needles and other instruments

Through a lot of trial and error, they discovered honey’s medicinal uses and use it for wound care

Despite his wishes, Clint has never had the opportunity to amputate

They’re both rather strict on hand hygiene while in the med-hut or when doing wound care

They really truly are trying their best

I’ve been thinking about these for ages, if anyone wants more let me know! Sometimes I can’t turn healthcare brain off and it seeps into everything 😅

(The Maze Runner) What It's Like Having Him as a Close Friend

(Author’s Note:  In my fics/imagines/headcanons, Gladers are aged up, and also movie version...)

Thomas

Quiet conversations while working or in between jobs.

Walls coming down gradually over time.  You both open up about things you’re thinking about.

You lend a hand whenever he gets himself into trouble.  Which is all the time.

Seriously, standing up for this guy is a full-time job in and of itself.

On the flipside, you will have a most loyal and trusted friend.

Thomas will keep your secrets.  He will look out for you.  You can count on him no matter what.

The slightest hint that someone will do you harm will send him into overprotective mode.  He’ll stare down anyone who says or does anything to make you uncomfortable.

He has this uncanny ability to convince you his shenanigans are a good idea on occasion.  It doesn’t always happen, but when he does manage to recruit you, it’s chaos.

Newt

Witty banter back and forth.

Sitting together at mealtimes and spilling the tea about other Gladers and ridiculous things that happen during the day.

This guy believes in his friends so much, and his actions back that.

He’s there to stomp out any doubts you may have about yourself.  He’ll give you a motivational scolding.

Newt appreciates your willingness to help wherever it’s needed.  As second-in-command, he finds himself helping out in different areas.  It brightens his day when you offer up a helping hand.

He’s super knowledgeable about the Glade, and he never gets tired of questions.  Ask away.

Laughing and joking around at bonfires.

Minho 

Playful teasing and taunts.

There’s also some joking flirts.  Silly pet names spoken with light-hearted sarcasm.  It’s his love language.

He’s so full of sass, but can turn around and be serious around others when trying to be tough.

With that being said, he likes to be taken seriously by others.  He saves the jokes for his closest friends, but doesn’t do it in front of Greenies.  There’s a time and place in his mind.

He’s the Keeper of the Runners, so he’s usually gone most of the day.  He’ll rely on you to fill him in on anything that took place during the day - unless of course you’re a Runner too.

You also get a heads up on progress made in the Maze.  You know more than you probably should about what’s going on.

Gally

In the very beginning, he’s like “oh great, a girl greenie” *sarcasm*

You’re so eager to prove yourself, to do your part, and you do in fact start to grow on him.

He realizes that he had some unfair preconceived notions about having a girl in the Glade, and he comes to respect you.  His respect is bestowed on very few, so don’t take it lightly.

He’ll lighten up a bit and not be quite so gruff.  He still picks on you, but it’s more good-natured and genuine, and it’s usually a cover to distract you from the fact that he’s helping.

“Sheesh.  Move over, Greenie.  You’re going to break your back doing that by yourself.”

Values your opinions and really takes them to heart.  While he’ll tell anyone else to quit complaining or take their ideas elsewhere, he’ll listen to you.  If anyone gives him klunk about being a softie, he gives them a death glare.

He picks on you, but won’t stand for anyone else doing it.

Random TMR Headcannons

• Frypan is Gally's best friend. He's the only one who knows how to calm him down.

• Frypan once went on strike and wouldn't cook his famous stew because everyone made fun of it. It lasted just two weeks.

• When they were Runners Gally always wanted Newt to be his partner in the Maze.

• Aris loves history books.

• Aris is just naturally a night owl.

• Rachel and Aris were together at one point or extremely close to it.

• Aris always blamed himself for Rachel's death.

• Harriet almost died in the Maze but never told anyone.

• Minho called Gally eyebrows instead of Greenie.

• Minho refuses to let anyone see him cry.

• Minho admires Newt more than he could describe.

• Newt did write Minho a letter. He just took a long time to get the strength to read it.

• Newt always wanted someone with his accent to come up.

• Newt is extremely self conscious about his limp.

• One time a Greenie asked about Newt's limp. Someone else had to take over the tour that day.

• Newt gives the best hugs.

• Thomas still has dreams that everyone is alive only to wake up to everyone dead.

• Thomas is scared to love someone because they all end up dead.

• Teresa has extremely neat yet tiny handwriting.

• Chuck only started pranking people because he wanted someone to pay attention to him.

• For about 5-6 months the Gladers purposely sent down stupid requests they knew they wouldn't get because they wanted to piss off tbe Creators.

Books

• Teresa was excited about being with the Group B girls because she didn't get a chance to be around any before.

• Whenever Sonya hears someone say Lizzie she feels like it's familiar.

• Sonya randomly felt like a part of her was missing when Newt died.

• Aris would debate telling someone about his bigger role in WICKED to get some of the guilt off of his chest. 

Movies

• Brenda used to call Jorge Dad when she was little.

• Minho spent every Greenie night for a year after he got his limp.

• Thomas always wears Newt's letter around his neck because it makes him feel safe.

• Newt came up with the idea of a fight ring on Greenie night because he could tell that Gally was holding in a lot of anger.

• Gally threatened anyone who was even slightly mean to Chuck.

• Gally used to test out his 'special drink' and made himself sick the first few times.

• Sonya, Harriet, and Aris had dreams of being reunited while they were apart.

• Aris thought he recognized Sonya and Harriet's voices from the start when they were reunited but was terrified of being wrong.

• Sonya and Aris ended up being together.

The Fever Code

• Sonya used to constantly talk about Newt to her friends

• Harriet would comfort the new girls and explain everything whenever one came.

• Teresa hated being immune because of everyone isolating her.

• Aris would color code his notes.

• Aris would constantly fall asleep in class.

• Occasionally some bored teenagers would dare each other to get as close to the Crank cage as possible.
