Who is...The W.I.Zard?
Born Frederick P. Garth on Earth-2 sometime in the early 20th Century, Freddy Garth was a common hood in the employ of various bosses until he was forced to go into hiding abroad when a former employer put a hit out on him. Coming under the tutelage of a mysterious Homo Magi lama, Fred was a surprisingly apt pupil until--in pursuit of power--he opened his heart to a mystical entity far in excess of anything he could control. Fred Garth, his master, and everyone in the immediate vicinity of the ritual died that night. William Zard emerged from the wreckage.
Returning to America, seemingly unaware that his old self had been a wanted man, Zard cut a swathe of destruction through Garth's old associates. In an act of mutual misunderstanding, Zard found himself in the ranks of the Justice Society. While he recognized the raw power of his associates--especially Diana's untapped mystical potential--Zard was quickly frustrated by their morality and restraint, resigning in violent fashion. However, the experience left Zard with an appreciation for power in numbers, and he would go on to found and lead a number of superpowered criminal organizations, beginning with the Injustice Society of the World.
Eventually, Zard would escape to Earth-2, following his failed experiment with Scream Queen. Now in debt to Ravanahatha (his patron in the Scream Queen ritual) Zard was forced to find a new host for the demon. He continued to engage in these human experiments, resurrecting Garth's son Joseph using the Black Flame of Nekron, and enchanting Adam Blake to his side during the early days of the Secret Society of Super-Villains.
Blake and Zard would have an incredibly complicated dynamic over the years. While Blake struggled with his constantly mutating body and growing power, Zard was constantly seeking new ways to transform himself and tame greater forces of the multiverse. While he would never admit, Zard's jealousy over Adam's relationship with the Star Sapphire Remoni-Notra (a crystalline alien living on earth as a human named Debbie Darnell) also drove him to further pursue Blake as a thrall, to diminishing returns as Blake's evolving nature made him impossible to control.
The pair's final adventure together involved a journey to Earth-2 and one common enemy they would always share: The Lantern Volthoom

Note
have you seen the 1946 batman show? we got a couple episodes into it last night. whatever happened to the wizard?? is he ever a villain again?? i love him 🧙‍♂️
oh, neat! I can't say I'm familiar with the 40s serials, but they sound like a trip! unfortunately I can't say that the Wizard ever comes back as far as I know; DC Comics has a villain named The Wizard (real name William Zard, you see what they did there) but he does, like, actual magic and not electrical tomfoolery like this Wizard seems to according to wikipedia.

The Battle for Victory: Columbus Crew vs. Charlotte FC - Expert Analysis, Exciting Team News and Winning Lineups! The Battle for Victory: Columbus Crew vs. Charlotte FC - Expert Analysis, Exciting Team News and Winning Lineups! The Exciting Matchup This upcoming matchup between Columbus Crew and Charlotte FC is being highly anticipated by soccer fans. Both teams are gearing up to give their all for the victory. Team Analysis Columbus Crew Columbus Crew, who finished third in the Eastern Conference in the 2020 season, have a strong defensive line headed by their goalkeeper, Eloy Room. The team has a good balance of experienced and young players, which helps in creating an effective strategy on the pitch. Their midfield is the backbone of their attacking game, with Darlington Nagbe and Lucas Zelarayan leading the charge. The team also has key players like Gyasi Zardes and Pedro Santos, who are known for their scoring abilities. Charlotte FC Charlotte FC is a new team that is set to join the MLS in 2022. However, they have already recruited some impressive players, including Spanish forward Sergio Ruiz. They also have former MLS Player of the Year, Víctor Ulloa, joining their ranks. Defensively, they have experienced players like Jan Sobociński and Joel Johnson. Key Matchup One key matchup to watch in this game is between Columbus Crew's Darlington Nagbe and Charlotte FC's Víctor Ulloa. Both players are known for their ability to control the midfield and create goal-scoring opportunities. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this duel. Winning Lineups Columbus Crew Based on current form and injuries, the following lineup is predicted for Columbus Crew: Goalkeeper: Eloy Room Defenders: Harrison Afful, Jonathan Mensah, Josh Williams, Milton Valenzuela Midfielders: Artur, Darlington Nagbe, Pedro Santos, Lucas Zelarayan Forwards: Gyasi Zardes, Miguel Berry Charlotte FC Charlotte FC is a relatively new team so it's hard to predict their exact lineup. However, based on their current squad, the following lineup is predicted: Goalkeeper: Jan Sobociński Defenders: Joel Johnson, Tommy McCabe, Tikoŝ Kahoul, Abdoulie Mansally Midfielders: Víctor Ulloa, Sergio Ruiz, Adam Armour Forwards: Dane Kelly, Ettore Valagussa. Expert Analysis Based on the strengths and weaknesses of both teams, it is predicted to be a closely contested game. Columbus Crew has an edge with their experienced team, but Charlotte FC is a hungry new team who will be looking to put up a strong challenge and prove themselves. Both teams have strong midfielders, so whoever dominates in the midfield will have an advantage. However, Columbus Crew has a better defense, which could be the deciding factor in the game. Gyasi Zardes and Pedro Santos have the potential to cause trouble for Charlotte FC's defense and if they are able to find a way past their defense, Columbus Crew could potentially emerge as the winners. Conclusion Overall, this matchup between Columbus Crew and Charlotte FC is one that soccer fans won't want to miss. With a strong and experienced team against a new and hungry team, it promises to be an exciting game. Keep an eye out for Nagbe vs. Ulloa in the midfield, and Zardes and Santos' attacking abilities. It could be anyone's game, but Columbus Crew may just have the edge to come out on top. #SPORT Read the full article

(A group of magic-using villains are discussing Klarion) Wizard: He’s killed dozens of people! Circe: He’s a kid. Kids do dumb things. Wizard: How many kids have done *THAT* dumb thing? (Circe, Felix Faust, Enchantress, and Tala all raise their hands) Wizard: ...This is a skewed demographic.

Don't we all need some lovey-dovey stuff to think of from time to time?
Displays of affection headcanons
The Fiddler:
Lots of hands touching! holding hands! interwining fingers!
Not only does he plays with much more energy and from the bottom of his heart when his s/o is listening but also plays some soothing melodies when they feel down
The Wizard:
He wants to be close, always so close. When you move, he moves too.
He offers to teach s/o how to play cards or how to do magic tricks only to be able to come as close as possible, hug them from behind, maybe plant a little kiss on their neck, jaw or cheek, wherever possible.
Bito Wladon:
He gets a bit embarrassed with any displays of affection, public or not. The way he melts into it after some time is quite a sight.
He leans his head on their and lets his s/o lean their head on his shoulder. It's his favourite, so intimate. And holding hands while doing it, simply magical. And kissing ear, and whispering. It makes him so weak.
Count Vertigo:
Not keen on touching at first. At all. He doesn't like to touch in public. His first attempts are very timid and gentle, more of a brief of touch, yet so important, aren't they?
Kisses on fingertips are his favourite to give. So sweet and caring. Also, yes, he nuzzles his cheek into palm of s/o's hand.
Black Adam:
He dislikes big public displays of affection except maybe holding hands and gazing at each other from time to time. He is very powerful so he feels secure enough to show affection but he prefers to keep it moderate.
But when they're alone the way he acts is the warmest and gentlest imaginable. He loves holding his s/o in his arms, cuddling and just sitting together. When they lean their head on his shoulder he just goes all "bdbxhdhxhshs"
Fauna Faust:
When she's into someone she's head over heels for them and displays of affection give her the feeling of home and safety. She doesn't mind if anyone see them and how many folks do.
Her favourite are "nose kisses". But good old kisses are great as well. Holding hands, changing position to match s/o, this is her jam.
Sebastian Faust:
He gets a bit embarrassed with PDA and sometimes he just doesn't feel like touching but besides that he is so happy to spend time with his s/o and show them his love!!! He's more a words and acts of service kind of guy.
Hugs, hugs from behind (also being hugged from behind) are his favourites. Cuddling and spooning is so wonderful, too!
Felix Faust:
When he's in love, he's all for it and all into it. 1 thought (his s/o), head no more empty. Depends on the person he is in relationship with but if the situation is right he's not afraid to show affection even before his enemies and make it into couple goals.
This rat of a man gets all gentelmanly with his s/o. Acts of service the most but also: hand and fingers kisses. Brief and gentle and full of respect.
Wotan:
He believes himself unlovable and wasn't touched lovingly/friendly for so long he forgot how it feels. So it takes him some time to get used to it.
He considers caressing s/o's cheek the most wonderful thing on earth. Also wrapping them in his cape so they're so close. Exquisite.
(No Klarion this time because he's, well, a minor. I hope this is understandable)
