I have too many thoughts on the Yunmeng siblings to fit into a succinct post, but I can offer you a Jiang Yanli addendum to the tummy hurt alignment.

#ask #poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #jiang yanli #They way I analyze characters is in two layers - the first is how these characters act as literary devices #(i.e. their relationship to the protagonist and themes of the story)#And the second is who they are as independent characters.#Which means I have extensive thoughts on JC and JYL on a scene to scene basis as well as overall thoughts.#The tummy hurt comic was always about the different ways we process grief #and Jiang Yanli's role as the 'comforting older sister figure' despite the hurt she carries in her heart truly fascinates me.#I can relate in the sense I find it easier to care for others than care for my own grief.#But that grief caught me eventually. And it was ugly and raw.#JYL is grief in rose tinted glasses (minimized). JC is the messy chaos of grief when raw and exposed. Clever move to make them siblings!

And then my hand and eye mutinied against me and it ended up like this #It does look really nice like I'm really happy with it but hweh #I'd say I was trying to simplify so I can knock multiple out at once but a) I completely changed the poses during the sketch #Which I mean it's already a little on the complex side with them in costumes lol #And b) I ended up knocking another out the same day anyway so uhhhh it's fine I guess lol #Their couch really only comes in Loveseat and Extra Wide flavours depending on the day lol #Continuing the trend of them getting ready at home rather than actually being out during Trick or Treat #Even that one kid Trick or Treat was in the dreamscape! I say this with the greatest amount of love possible, but that lady in Daemon's vision was way too pretty to be Alyssa. Canon Alyssa didn't have the conventional white blonde Targaryen hair and her nose was crooked from having been broken. It was hard to tell but it also didn't look like the woman in the vision had heterochromia either. I want to think the show is using that to make a point about what Alys said later about Daemon never knowing his mother and his tendency to emphasize the ideal stereotype of a "true Targaryen" that even his own mother didn't truly fulfill, but idk if I trust the show to be smart enough to truly make that parallel.

#also ignoring what was going on when Alyssa showed up bc literally wtf #I know the Targaryens are the incest house but COME on do we have to go that far? Breakdown of time spent in zone for the first and second lines of the Minnesota Wild. We're only 13% of the way through the season (11GP) but you can see that Kaprizov's spends LESS even-strength time in the offensive zone and MORE time in the defensive zone compared to 23-24. Rossi and Zuccarello see this same trend . The second line of Johansson, Ek, and Boldy remains largely similar to their 23-24 percentages, though Boldy spends more time in the defensive zone than last year. Overall, the team is spending slightly more time in the neutral zone and defensive zone than in 23-24, though obviously the results are thus-far going our way.

Please note that Kaprizov's slide shows all-strength and even-strength stats by year, so to compare his 23-24 and 24-25 even-strength percentages, those would be upper right and lower right in the graphic. All other stats shown are even strength.

One thing I love about mutant mayhem is that Leo has a crush on an April who’s not conventionally attractive. It almost feels like, because of the turtles’ isolated upbringing* he hasn’t been influenced by the popular western beauty ideals and just thinks this ordinary human is beautiful!
