ermmm so i don't really know how to use tumblr but i do wanna start posting my art (specifically toa stuff) more frequently and insta wasn't really working. here's my arcane order yaelokre crossover thing i did like a few months ago. not the biggest fan of it still but bughgyayaulughhhh

based on a book

based on mythology

about a teenage boy

who stumbles upon an ancient artifact that gives him powers

that's being sought by this cocky guy with daddy issues

who's right arm is mechanical some of the time

and his Dad is this massive guy with big horns (and sometimes glowy blue eye(s))

who's being manipulated by a powerful woman

that he freed from her centuries old prison

who may have had noble ambitions in the past, but now has been consumed by power

and the woman possesses a young girl in order to get what she wants

and sacrifices the lives of her minions in order to unleash her ultimate weapon ->

(Dozens of Gum Gums) (Spider Queen, Huntsman, Syntax, Goliath, Not- Mayor) You know what I'm talking about :(

and she's got this indentured servant *cough Slave cough* (with pretty gold eyes 😘)

who she refers to as "Her Champion"

who travels using shadows (I could not find a single picture of Angor Rot using his shadow staff)

who was really sweet and kind in his past but then... well... stuff happened

and has lost his right eye

and he's been killed before

but the big bad restores him back to life so she can use him

and he gets a redemption arc at the end of season three

and the main character doesn't have a bio Dad, but he attracts plenty of father figures throughout the course of the show

and he gains a non-human form that makes him even more powerful

and him and the others gain an armor upgrade at the same time

and the girl of the team has short black hair with dyed stripes

and you know the guy with daddy issues who wanted to steal his artifact in the beginning? He becomes one of the protagonist's closest friends

and there's this gentle giant character

who becomes one of my most beloved characters of all time 💕💕💕

and he has a history of violence and trauma

and has now vowed to be a devote pacifist

but breaks his vow in order to protect the people he loves (with angry glowy eyes to boot)

and has a deep love for cats (yes, I did just do that)

...then I would have two nickels.

Which isn't very much, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

Lake was a problem.

Of course, fate just had to choose a fellow student to be the Trollhunter instead of another stinking troll. Couldn't make Steve's life already god awful life any freaking easier. Nope.

At least he had a plan. He knew Lake at least thought he was attractive. It made the smaller boy easy to kill. After all, things like him don't have emotions.

My oc would be one of the agents that gets moved in after NotEnrique is placed in the series. A school student that will provide further more insight on certain things Strickler may not catch onto.

Good morrow.

Today I am here to discuss one of my all-time favorite shots in Tales of Arcadia. It's incredibly brief, and the part that makes it my favorite isn't even really the focus of the shot. It's this:

This shot appears in both halves of the Trollhunters/3Below crossover, and that's because of how telling it is. Up to this point in Trollhunters, Aja and Krel seem just completely oblivious and doofy.

And then we get this look from Krel, and the doofiness doesn't add up anymore. This tiny little shot is key to exposing how intelligent and aware Krel actually is in this moment. It's hardened, focused, shrewd- this look is more Krel than most of what we see in the Trollhunters half of the crossover (In Good Hands). You can build an entire sense of what Krel is truly like under his oddity just from this one little shot of his expression and body language narrowing in on the screen. You can see his royal regality for a moment in the way his shoulders set; you can see in his eyes just how much he's absorbing and comprehending inside.

And wow is that just some truly incredible work from the animators.

fin. ... 6/6 ab5042qjq ... Welp, it's finally here. The sixth and final? entry of the main 'I Remember' limited comics. It's been a long and expensive road since the release of Part 1, but I'm honestly happy to have seen it through to the end ^^ I realize, in many ways, this whole thing's just a glorified OC-insert and crossover, but, at the end of the day this just goes to show how much a series like Tales of Arcadia can mean to a person, how a good story and characters can inspire you and what you can take away from them upon reaching the end. Case in point, when TOA's saga ended with the "Rise of the Titans" movie, I think it's to say the majority, uh... wasn't too happy with how it all concluded, and I'll admit, the desire to create Luke stemmed from a desire to...okay, not exactly "fix" that frown-inducing ending, but, expand upon it in a way so it's at least a little bit less hair-pullingly frustrating; thanks a lot, Guillermo del Toro. xD Speaking of which, Luke's story and this little AU of mine will continue, in one format or another, but it may be quite some time before he appears in any more comics, hope that's understandable. x}

I want to also give a huge thank you to @muku-gc . When @undeadchestnut disappeared off the face of the internet, they really did me a solid by stepping in to draw part six, thank you so SO much, friend ^^ One more, thank you to @roesavalonsigma for allowing me to cameo her special character, Roes Sigma, who was also something of a cornerstone for Luke, but that's another story ;) I may make a master post providing a link to each comic in order, we'll see. Until then...thanks for sticking with me, means a lot :) ~HSeeker

Au idea that just popped up into my head. What if Jim and Claire started at demi-gods?

At the dawn of time, they were part of the demi-gods that were created, demi-god of light (Jim, because of the whole daylight thing) and the demi-god of darkness (Claire for obvious reasons)

Maybe they did something wrong. Maybe they meddled with things too much (is falling in love with your counterpart god illegal?), and the others got outraged at them. Somehow, they die, doesn't really matter how. Then, they get reincarnated as humans.

What would this mean storywise?

It would be a reason why they got their roles. It wouldn't change much at first. Maybe they would pick up their skills a little faster when normal. Maybe they're just that little bit more deadly than they're meant to.

For Claire, it would be an obvious reason how she became so powerful at shadowmancy . For Jim, it would be how he defeated so many foes. How he became the best trollhunter despite being human.

The scene where Claire opens up that huge portal? Another reason she doesn't die from it.

It would be another reason why the arcane order has such distaste for the trollhunter group. The hatred towards them would be all that more personal.
