Random imodna thoughts about the last few episodes because I’ve sort of had put a stop to the hyperfixation in order to survive finals but WE’RE BACK and I need to rant about imogen temult and my favorite dead lady.

About the stormlord: Not too long ago Imogen broke my heart in two when she said that she’s been trying to talk to the gods her whole life and she’s been ignored by all of them. Now suddenly some lighting bitch is interested. I’m sorry but I stand my ground: the gods do not deserve Imogen Temult.

Laudna really went, AGAIN “if you feel like giving into the moon, I’ll support your every move, regardless of anyone's thoughts on who's good or who’s bad” and, oh my god, I get the sentiment. I also think that Imogen’s never done a single bad thing in her life and everyone else is wrong but this enabling behavior is making me freak the fuck out because above all I want is for her to be ALRIGHT.

About imodna: MARISHA AND LAURA ARE COOKING. I know it. 4sd confirmed it in my opinion. Marisha said she’s been thinking non-stop about Imogen’s words during the truth trial. So much tea dropped, actually: marisha’s comment about laudna being dead, therefore, having no future. So many thoughts on that, but mainly laura's reaction to the comment summarize's it all pretty well; she (marisha) was crazy excited about playing out relationship conflict + Laura basically confirmed that the whole thing with Delilah was going to affect their intimacy. I need them to get a minute on screen to get those issues to surface SOON.

JUSTICE FOR IMOGEN’S GLASSES (unrelated to imodna, but still so so relevant)

Can we just turn it back up for a moment and remember that not that long ago laudna was reliving her worst traumas and made Imogen promise to move on after she inevitably lost herself to Delilah, then Imogen sobbed her eyes out to a god and begged for someone’s help to save the woman she loves only for the raven queen to send an ominous sign, then laudna disappeared, spend a night with Delilah away from Imogen and returned totally regressed and barely lucid only to then make everyone cry by gifting a doll to Ashton (who had almost died) and say “love is pain. But it’s also warmth. I was so cold last night.” Then imogen took off her circlet, said some pretty heavy stuff and gave into the storm. I- just- can we go back to when they were kissing in supermarkets and announcing their relationship to dead pirates, and calling each other beautiful, and keeping each other in the forefront of their mind whilst floating down an ancient tree.

Another random thing that won’t let me sleep from 4sd was “Imogen always wants to know, and she would want to know if she went bad or not.” laura.bailey. Joke's on her, though, because regardless of what she chooses Imogen will always just be the best girl and her gf agrees, so that’s that.

Still forever funny, that one laudna comment about making everyone accountable. BITCH WHEN?

i hope buck, eddie and shannon are haunting helena through chris rn. i hope when chris rolls his eyes and snarks back helena freezes reminding her damn well who his father is. i hope when chris bites the inside of cheek and is suddenly really interested in his hands when he’s nervous about something helena scrunches her eyebrows in confusion bc she swears she’s seen it before and her eyes widen as she recalls eddie’s friend, the same friend who was there when they picked up chris, having the same mannerisms when eddie and his team came to texas. i hope when chris asks for the ice cream from the store 45 minutes from their house near the park and he picks rocky road helena swallows roughly bc shannon would do the same when she missed eddie and/or was sad. i hope she’s violently reminded no matter how much she pretends, that child will never be hers in the way she’s so desperately been trying to make it be for years. i hope she’s reminded of her damn place in chris’ life.

i love the way sansa is so proud to be catelyn's daughter. in a world where women are expected to assimilate to their husbands' world once they get married, there's sansa adopting her mother's gods into her creed, taking pride in having her mother's looks, often choosing to wear the colors of her mother's house and, most importantly, drawing strength from her mother's memory. what's so great about this is that it's not an act of spite against her father. she's just proud of being both stark and tully. it's like arya said: the woman is important too.

Acting entitled over women’s bodies is a problem that exists within the population of cis women to the point where it’s even cited as part of what makes up transmisogyny.

All of these things (and more) are much more coherently explained as patriarchal socialization of EVERYONE in society and often then a compounding of using your identity as a reason you shouldn’t need to unpack that. This is a society thing, not an ~AMAB socialization~ thing.

Sometimes I get messages about certain dialogue in my comics about how a character is being passive aggressive when I'm just writing them as straight forward and blunt.

idk, as an autistic person who's dealt with genuine harassment several times (including a few months ago) because his straight forward and blunt demeanor was misinterpreted as being "rude", "ungrateful" and "bitchy", its just kind of interesting seeing people interpret dialogue in a more hostile way.

it's not a complaint, i prefer those fictional interpretations over terminally online twitter users who need to be coddled over everything but it is kind of fascinating seeing how people interpret certain dialogue.
