And I believe it's because deep down, Eddie KNOWS he has feelings for Buck and what it means. So he's extra-conscious in putting it away

unpopular opinion (maybe?) but we are not going to see eddie mentioning buck every other sentence in el paso. this is because they are different people who deal with their feelings of loss differently. and also because buck's biggest problem at the moment is quite literally that eddie is in texas. while eddie's biggest problem at the moment is that he had to leave his entire life behind to go grovel at the feet of his parents who took his own son away from him just so he can see his son again. thanks for your time

sometimes when i see things through buck’s pov i get gaslit into thinking he’s the reacher in his friend(situation)ship with eddie but thank god for episodes like 8x12 to bring me back to reality and help me realize that eddie is also a fcking loser

one little detail I really like about 8x12 is that buck's hoodie matches his phone case and matches the ovens in his kitchen

in an otherwise fairly neutral environment those pops of color really tie them together visually. could be a neat way to emphasize the two people currently missing in buck's life, or the ways he deals with what he's missing
