Will never get over how Starscream and Skyfire's relationship is always doomed. There's never an iteration of them where they both stay on the same side at the end. They always end up being against each other, tearing each other apart (whether intentionally or not). They always end up losing each other, be it by a snowstorm, by the war, or by death itself. They never receive a happy ending together, one if not both of them is doomed to suffer.

Skyfire is doomed to be an Autobot, by forces out of his control. Starscream is doomed to be an Decepticon, by his own self destructive tendencies. They are both doomed, because of who they are. They always try to save the other, in their own way. But it never works. They are doomed to fail, whether they stay together or not.

and then the weird moments that they hang out like cats in each other’s motorhome in between sessions trying to figure each other out (vale) and trying to get the other to visit their house (marc) and talking about racing (both) take a distinctly illicit vibe turn. not doing anything maybe but. thinking about it.

PLUS you also have such a good point about marc as this comparatively more shy and serious and small kinda kid bc of his late blooomer status in relation to vale as well… vale spinning like a mirrorball doing fun little pranks and getting all this attention while marc is a little less of a natural at that sort of thing (he GETS THERE but i think in lots of ways vale is a roadmap lol and baby vale wouldn’t be into the joint thing in this regard so. he has to figure it out a little bit by himself)… idk like it’s interesting to think about marc as an athlete existing in the time of those crazy tobacco money ragers and all that jazz because i think they’re both like to party (obviously…) but the vibes of those parties are perhaps a leedle different a to me (babynflames brought up marc HATING ibiza recently while vale was like. probably sucking off sete gibernau in a club bathroom in ibiza semi regularly for a couple of years there in the early aughts. there’s also i think some generational stuff here, not just their raw personallities etc) but of course the FUN route on this highway is to think of vale as a somewhat horrendous influence wrt to marc who is. maybe wrestling with what it means to have valentino as his biggest competitor and also to want to be the person he’s sucking off in club bathrooms in ibiza. and they’re like 19/20 at this point and trying to kill each other every other weekend and no one has the emotional articulation skills or bravery to break the sexual tension equilibrium so i could conceive of a scenario where marc gets invited on a group clubbing vacay of vale’s and then has to see him making out with a different (dark hair, dark eyed, spanish) girl across the club for multiple days (while hyperaware of where marc is at all times) and that’s part of why marc hates ibiza… but then eventually the girl notices and re-enacts the movie challengers with them because it’s WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH and it’s not gay if it’s in a threeway

OG!Stan and Ford will be going around trying to uncover what happened with Stan and no one will tell them anything. They come to the conclusion that Stan must’ve died with the way everyone in this universe keeps looking at them.

But it’s the worst for Shellfish!Ford who is confronted with everything he could’ve had, if he had been a better brother. A better person. Someone who didn’t just abandon the people closest to him the moment he found something more interesting to waste his time on.

Ford is used to hating himself. He always did. Every time he looked at his hands or let Stan protect him like a coward, he hated himself.

But now, looking at who he could’ve been, his past issues all seemed so petty and inconsequential. 

As it turns out Ford never knew what true self hatred felt like until they, Grunkle Dipper, Other Ford and himself, were buried nose deep into their research and Other Stan came and dragged Other Ford away from them.

Other Ford protested loudly, but Other Stan simply laughed and shouted over his shoulder: “See you later, Nerds!”

The two of them came back an hour later, giggling and triumphant, with a solution to their dimension replacement problem. Together they managed in a mere hour what three geniuses couldn’t do in two weeks and had fun doing it.

Ford truly hates himself now. 

And there is no one to blame but himself. 

Then he finds out that Other Ford also had the option to stay in Gravity Falls but didn’t take it because that would mean he wouldn’t get to grow up with Stan and nothing could be worth that loss.

It’s mentioned offhandedly and in passing. 

Ford excuses himself quietly, locks himself inside his room closet and starts to bawl.

He loses track of time but then there is light and his brother is there and Ford stops thinking. He lets himself be embraced and apologizes until he passes out.

Well anyways the OG Stans eventually figure out what really happened, decide they can’t have that and drag Ford with them to find the little lost Shellfish. :)

Before they make up, but Stan is living with them in Gravity Falls?

We can start that one with OG!Stan glaring at Shellfish!Stan and be like: “What the fuck is his deal? Why is he so rude? How dare he make Ford sad!”

Turns out they make it worse before they figure poor Shellfish!Stan out. But after they do, they plan to kidnap this Stan back to their home dimension :D

just for fun this time during 'sea of blood' I counted out all the venatori corpses I think we can be pretty sure were lucanis' handiwork before we show up (not including the ones he kills in his initial cutscene, and with an assumption that he's been at work mainly up and down in the areas we move through until we find him, not behind the locked door -- I think that's mostly the work of rampaging undead and other venatori-hoisted-by-their-own-petard suchlikes). can thus happily inform you lucanis has killed at least 32 venatori before rook and company get there. at least one of them he's impaled on their own weird crystal spike things the venatori mages cast as an AOE attack and that they're trying to keep him contained with when we find him. so he's clearly been keeping busy lol. that's my boy dispensing poetic justice and claiming some enrichment in his enclosure while he's at it good for him!

The difference in the way Mike treats El and Will is so insane when you really think about it.

Season 1: Will goes missing and Mike does everything he can to get him back. He SEES WILL’S CORPSE, mourns his loss, and the split second he hears Will’s voice on the walkie talkie he jumps back into action to find him. He convinces the entire hesistant party that he’s still out there.

Season 2: Mike SEES EL. HE SEES HER. STANDING IN THE FLESH OUTSIDE HIS WINDOW. What does he do? Elects to convince himself he’s crazy. He sticks by Will’s side and continues to mourn the loss of El. They make a point to show the cops chasing her. NOT MIKE. He never looks for her, he just walkie talkies her instead.

Mike saw both Will and El die, and he had MORE reason to believe El was alive because there WAS NO BODY. They know Will vanished into thin air. Why doesn’t Mike go look for her? Why?

He likely walkie talkied her looking for the same moment he had with Will. Will dies, he’s heard on the walkie, hes alive. That’s what Mike was looking for: he was trying to replicate what he had with Will (*cough* like he does in the s4 monologue *cough*).

Even better… it happens again in season 3. In a much less kidnapped, dead angsty way, and more of a teenage, dramatic angsty way. El breaks up with him, he whines and needs constant help (from Lucas) to “chase after her”, and does so very late. Will fights with Mike and within MINUTES, zero prompting needed, he chases after him. Just like Max claimed Mike would for El.

I will not deny that Mike and El have an extremely strong bond, and as Mike said, they care for eachother so much… but Will consistently gets more boyfriend treatment from Mike than El does. Mike loves El, but he doesn’t *love* El.

When Bakugou died, you’re not sure how you went on living. Grief had taken over your life, sat you in the passenger side while it cruised off the highway into icy waters. And even then, you couldn’t find the energy to drown.

It’s why there’s a sudden uptick of energy when you’re promised to have him back. Some top scientists contact you months after his death, tell you to hurry down to the headquarters labs, come and rejoice for what you’re about to witness. And you’re horrified, to say the least.

“This isn’t my husband.” Are your first words when you walk in, watch the figure on the other side of the glass examine its own hands. It looks like your husband but—but his hair isn’t the right shade of blond all over. His nose bridge had a slight bump after a scuffle with a villain. He had a scar on his hand but—but it never looked like it was to sew a pinky beside the other fingers.

“Is that really my husband?” You ask next in disbelief, slowly entering the room. Bakugou’s head snaps up, his eyes a little brighter than you remember but—they hold so much emotion. So much memory, so much panic, so much guilt.

“I left you.” He mutters, his voice raspy and ragged, and you wonder if it’ll always be like this now. It makes you cry a little harder than it should, but you only embrace each other. He’s cold and his shoulders don’t hold the same mass and his back doesn’t carry the same scars. There’s one, jagged and rough, running down his back, and you think, you think that’s where they slipped a new spine in.

“Welcome back home.” You tell him, weeks after meeting him again, new and not totally—Katsuki. He’s stiff and he doesn’t immediately take off his boots when he enters, and it worries you. Makes you think if you’ve just let a stranger into your home, one that has stolen your dead husbands face. Makes you wonder if he’ll be as loving as Katsuki once was, or if he’ll become your monster looming over you with the guilt of not being able to rest anymore.

“I’ve missed you so much.” You whisper against his mouth one night, a little while after he’s moved back. You don’t know why you lay under him, why you let him nestle himself inside of you, why you let him hold you against his chest. Katsuki always ran his hands over your cheeks and neck whenever he held you like this, but this…man, only holds himself up with his hands resting beside your head. It’s alien, how he looks at you, how his hips are methodically measured with every thrust, how he kisses you every 8 seconds. You wonder if he’s more robot than Frankenstein monster.

“Why did you come back to me like this?” You ask him one night, barricaded in the bathroom away from him. You can hear his sobs on the other side, his pleading to be let in. He tells you he never wanted to come back if he had to be like this, that he’s sorry, please let him in, he misses the warmth of your skin, he’s never been so cold before, he’s never liked the cold.

“Is this considered cheating?” You ask yourself aloud one night, when Bakugou is forced back to the lab when he becomes too…un-Bakugou. To sleep with a man that is your husband in every way but? Your husband has been dead for a year now, and yet you stroke the chin of the man that tries so hard to be him everyday, but fails so miserably at it every time.

“I’ll come back to you right this time.” Bakugou promises to you when he’s strapped down to leave for the lab and before he’s sedated. But you don’t believe him—you never did. Your husband is dead, and this animated corpse has been nothing but a cheap mockery of everything you’ve lost and something you will never truly get back.

it's so frustrating they don't take the necropolis as an opportunity to explore spirits with more depth in veilguard. or even Manfred's whole thing. Manfred being able to learn to speak implies that any wisp is capable of it with time. they have preferences and emotions and comprehend speech but you still shouldn't be concerned that they are used for slave labour in the necropolis. you're supposed to be horrified that Hezenkoss is abusing spirits but not at that. engaging with spirits as people introduces too much nuance to the situation and veilguard is absolutely incapable of dealing with it. otherwise they'd have to engage with why Solas wants to tear the veil down

We are all aware that Yuu did not speak too much, and if they do, whatever dialogue Yuu picked, the result is still the same. Yuu will still get strung along and deal with the troubles and the overblots.

One may not think much of the part they play, merely a person that talks on the other side of a screen where the characters wouldn't heard you.

However, small and worthless as it looked, Yuu's words and existence are significant enough to push the story we all know.

Without Yuu, Grim will never attend NRC. Ace will not go to Ramshackle Dorm and consider Yuu's words to apologize to Riddle, nor will he have that kind of friendship with Deuce. Riddle's tyranny continued, Trey still remained the same just like Cater, and their relationship with the rest are within arm's reach.

Who will take the role of an investigator when there are accidents during the Spelldrive Tournament and foil the Savanaclaw plan?

Who will save them from the repercussions of striking a deal with Azul? Jamil succeeds in going through his plan and reaching his goal but not without a cost. Nobody will be able to return Vil's appearance back to normal if Malleus were not invited. The same goes for the rest.

That is the world without Yuu. Only if Yuu exists will the story move forward where everyone is saved and has come to peace with their issues even if the first meeting wasn't that great.

However, that does not mean everything will turn out okay if Yuu exists. It's all about their personality and how the people favor them.

Everything turned out to be even worse than ever if the others dislike Yuu, who is indifferent, or Yuu has the aura and personality that people immediately hated them on first sight.

There's something irritating when they were looking at Yuu. Something that caused them to loathe Yuu even though Yuu hasn't done something that garnered their unreasonable hatred. Plenty of people here are villainous in some traits, from tyranny down to pure selfishness.

However, although Yuu had not shown these traits, one can agree that Yuu is simply… dislikeable.

Just that feeling alone, and they avoided Yuu. Some mocked them, but Yuu did not take it to heart.

Yuu does not understand how they are disliked. They mind their own business, mindful of others, and only joining when it needs to. Yuu tried to be considerate and laying low. It's people's fault who are refusing to understand them.

Grim was not as close, preferring to look down at Yuu and make them work. Ace and Deuce were not Yuu's friends; the statue did not burn nor did the expensive chandelier ever fall down. Ace merely mocked Yuu and passed by as they swept the floor, and Yuu never met Deuce.

Yuu is alone during break time, and Trey and Cater never get to know them. Maybe Trey did send pitiful glances, but that's it. There's no need to get involved if you don't know them.

Riddle, however, knew Yuu but only by face and a title "magicless janitor". He got a worst impression of Yuu during the ceremony, and they never talk to each other after that.

Yuu and Grim were never present during the unbirthday party; the Mont Blanc was never made, and no one knew about Riddle's issue of how he came to be a tyrant.

Nevertheless, overblot happened, and it went downhill.

There were deaths and the wounded, and the hierarchy changed. Trey became the 'Queen of Heart', and Cater his right-hand man card soldier. Trey blamed himself and the people that contribute to Riddle's overblot which then bred dissonance and defiance amongst the card soldiers.

The dorm known for its countless rules became lawless; anarchy became the norm.

Yuu did not bother. As sad as it was, it was not their business which making people capable of sympathy dislike and avoid them even further. Yuu is a magicless janitor after all; it was also their job to clean up, and Yuu can't afford to feel when he's busy working.

Spelldrive tournament still continued, and most of the greatest players in Heartslabyul Dorm joining the tournament were almost non existent. The accidents of people falling and accidentally hurt themselves still happened and Yuu, despite being a janitor, was asked to investigate and found nothing due to people being uncooperative.

Nothing was done to oppose the plan Savanaclaw came up with. Although the intended target is not affected, many were still injured during the stampede. No one was able to point out the culprit behind this.

But still, overblot occurred before the audience, and on the screen across the world the moment Savanaclaw lost to Diasomnia.

Leona was saved after that in just a matter of time, but he was ashamed. Not because he was thinking of Malleus' downfall and Malleus had saved him despite everything, but rather because he was being exposed to the world. The eyes of his lackeys that trusted his words lost its gleams, and Leona was alone.

He is but an undignified cub unworthy of the throne.

He tarnished the school name and the royalty. He did not become a king, nor did he become part of the family, and instead, he was expelled from school and banished from his pride, never to be seen again.

That is the only mercy they can give, to let him run and live. But they will not forget what they cannot forgive.

The housewarden position remained absent. Lying became unacceptable. Selfishness and unruliness grew. Despite that, they are all a pack and they don't need a king at all.

Ruggie had to resort to scamming and stealing others' food, and Jack's sense of justice wavered at the sight. The scale slowly leaned towards a grey area, and before long, Jack found himself unbothered by the mess around him.

Gradually, once everything stabilized, the exam month arrived, and almost all students got caught in a net that Azul threw strategically. Grim was no exception. He made a deal with him about something, and Yuu could have left him behind, but Grim was vital, so Yuu had no choice but to save him.

Yuu saved only Grim, no one else.

They got off rather easily with a few challenges here and there, and Azul did not overblot, but plenty of students either dropped from fatigue or developed resentment to the point of overblotting. Naturally, everything comes to light.

Yuu did not bat an eye why Azul was forbidden to do business and anything that required him to steal everyone's power. Unfortunately, Azul does not react well. Forbidding him all of these means his power is taken away.

He instantly overblotted. Nobody is able to fight back as Azul was stronger from all the power he stole. But using those powers eventually leads to getting his life force drained, and that's what happened.

It does not end there sadly. Although Yuu was not dragged into the future overblots and the mess that comes with it, Yuu was still involved in cleaning the aftermath.

ok well that one's going straight on the favorites list for sure. absolute masterpiece. one of the most genuinely unsettling horror movies I've ever seen, and I've seen a LOT. It's all the slow descent into madness that the Shining movie wanted to be, the acting never missed a fucking beat (this is the guy's FIRST LEAD ROLE and goddamn did he command every second he was on screen), played super well on the 70s talk show on-air/off-air setting, then throw in some Cronenberg-style practical effects and I could not look away
