So. Since first seeing this beautiful menace, I had to redo several documents because LOOK AT HIM. I also took down every single lamppost between home and work because LOOK AT HIM AGAIN.

I adore this art. I'm staring for indefinite amount of time and can't stop.

Just... Guys, look. At the pose, at the expression. At the little details like a chain, like the jacket, like the earring, like the eyes, like the blue tint for the hair.

Stan Dress Up Week, Tuesday: Salesman Stan

Did someone say jimstan fluff? I thought I heard that, in the wind mayhaps. N e ways if you don't want to make yourself sick, definitely don't imagine the affection Jimmy drowns Stan in- kisses all over his face in the morning, hugs from behind in the kitchen, arm thrown round his shoulders whenever he's close enough, laying his head in Stan's lap on movie nights. Don't imagine Jimmy and Stan laying around, Stan doodling his comics while Jimmy strums his guitar, Jimmy watching and pausing to comment on how much he likes something or how good Stan is at his drawing. Don't imagine them taking long rides side by side on their bikes, riding through a wooded area to see the turning leaves and feeling free together, Jimmy pulling tricks to impress Stan per usual. Don't think about Jimmy cleaning Stan up after his time in the ring, washing wounds with gentle hands and pressing soft kisses around fresh bruises. Definitely don't imagine their maniacal laughter while spinning donuts around a cop come to bust a neighborhood takeover, speeding away in Stan's modded El Diablo (Jimmy made it faster than the cops could catch anyway). Don't imagine them going to every concert they think sounds cool, trading T-shirts and amassing a large music collection together. Definitely do NOT imagine Jimmy taking Stan way up North for a little cabin retreat, and telling him they were going for a snowmobile ride late at night. Leading him out to a frozen lake, where the northern lights are reflecting against the ice and snow and this is where Jimmy tells him he wants to spend the rest of his life with Stan, marriage license be damned, he had the club's (very expensive) lawyer drum up all the documents that would mimic it legally anyway, if Stan wanted, or if he didn't, Jimmy just wanted Stan to know how he felt and- Stan asks if they're gonna do the ring thing, or if their tattoos for eachother are enough already.

Oh I definitely DIDN'T imagine anything from your list, instead I MINDLESSLY just let your idea flow further to let somebody instead try and NOT imagine it!

But honestly, those are so good visuals. Just two boys having fun and enjoying each other! I feel like today is just a "destroy me emotionally" day, because all those little domestic details whispers to me quite passionatly.

I wish I could add anything meaningful here. Like them jokingly mispronouncing the words to the songs that Jimmy is playing until the meaning is different and based on their jokes.

Or like running though the rain because both were sure it wouldn't be raining. All while arguing about who actually was insisting on taking the damn umbrella. And then the next day being both red-nosed and throat rasping and groaning to each other.

Or Jimmy trying to surprise Stan with some pancakes in the morning but failing (and pouring too much sugar into the mix*, and even burning them completely). With Stan rising to the smell of burning everything and helping to air the kitchen. And in the end they left with several crackers, but they joke and smile and yet Jimmy is banned from the kitchen.

*this idea has no bearing on whatever happened today. There are no proofs left!

What about them both going roller skating? Both being quite awful at first and holding tight to each other so not to fall? And eventually going as far as to be racing each other between other visitors? Until they are chased away?

What about going to new diner and making their orders, and midway swapping their dishes because they like other's choice better?

What about Jimmy passing his guitar to Stan and moving his fingers into accords? What about Stan just pressing the strings at random, giggling when Jimmy is wincing?

What about Stan offering a pen to Jimmy and watching some stick figures being born on paper? They are not much, but Stan can recognise himself and Jimmy in those figures and of course Stan would keep this drawing forever.

What about them getting ahold of a camera? Spending a whole day posing and taking pictures and then giving the film to be made into photos and after week of waiting seeing that every photo was awful but full of life and joy?

Gravity Falls + Vladimir Propp’s Morphology of the Folktale

I’m taking a class about fantasy literature, and Propp’s theories came up in our discussion. Propp came up with a list of 31 plot elements contained within Russian fairy tales. I got excited when I noticed many of the elements can be found in Gravity Falls, so I made a bunch of screenshot redraws to share with you. (And practice coloring. And give you more Stan twins feels.)
