update: i'm now 5 hours into the audiobook (yes, it takes me forever to listen to audiobooks) and i just got to the part where jim is on delta vega and quinto does the monster snarling at jim (TWICE) and i just ascended

for those who don't already know, there's a novel tie-in to the 2009 movie and the audiobook is narrated by zachary quinto. worth every penny.
