Through a series of miscommunication, the League is now under the impression that Batman, strange cryptid that he is, may or may not have given birth to the other vigilantes running around in Gotham. This was not helped by Bruce referring to all of his children, no matter how big they get, as his babies. Nor was it helped by Red Robin, in the middle of a narcolepsy-fueled imminent crash, mentioned how he had no mother.
It also doesn’t help that no one is aware that they are in fact completely normal people, and not aspects of Gotham itself brought to life. Though really that’s on the bats themselves, because at this point they should at least count as undead.

I thought ''be considered X where I live'' would make the most sense since 'tallness' or etc. is sort of#subjective to the people around you or your specific culture/area/etc. And if I just said ''I'm tall'' or ''I'm short'' then#the response might be 'well how do I define whether I'm tall or not?'' or etc. But then most people could probably look#at the people around them in daily life they interact with and compare based on that to get a more literal idea or something#..ANYWAY.. lol.. as usual just thought of some random thing and was like.. hrmm... i wonder what the most common#feeling about that would be.#personally I'm not even short but I just want to be really really tall... like... 7 feet tall or something. i think there's really something to be said about how there has never been a record i've encountered where people wanted justification or excuse to refuse to acknowledge the intention and seriousness of the project itself like danger days by both defenders and haters. i find it so incredibly bizarre and strange and partially fascinating.
#its all wrapped up in what danger days represents for people partially.#like idk ive been trying to verbalize it for yeaarsss but it always feels like people rhetorically discuss it as a side-effect#of whatever neurosis soothes their narrative. its a record of immense mania and tragedy for some people for instance#which i find very laughable but whatever. people want dd to be miserable for so many reasons#which is immediately rendered sort of null when you compare parade. both the touring and the album making process.#like realistically this is a band that every single record is shaded with immense difficulty and uncertainty#but instead of dealing with that fans love to sort of isolate danger days since its this moment of betrayal its the beginning of the end#its not what people wanted#when realisitically the single biggest creative pressure on the band would've been being severely in debt#to the label for scrapping con weap. LMAO. but that never factors. because its about narratives.#like danger days To Me is an incredibly ambitious record. clearly personal. artistically inspired. absolutely rushed job#because they were bleeding money.#but its cool that they took that stand!!! and they had to have felt collectively passionate enough to do that in the first place!#but people want to engage with it on the terms of their disappointment. or the record as a harbinger of doom.#idk i was reading rym reviews (a mistake) and its wild how the critical positive consensus is either#incredibly stupid teenagers thinking mcr want to firebomb a walmart or 'well its not as good but i like fun things!'#am i crazy for thinking it more serious than that? that its pulling sonically from a wide array of inspirations and actually working#in conversation with them???#anyway. synths 4ever.#my posts

Watched Anyone But You and I just think if ur gonna do Much Ado About Nothing its rude to just adapt the fun bits and ignore all the themes and social commentary and an entire half of the plot. Like I don't think u get to make Claudio a lesbian for diversity points and then wriggle out of thinking about how the fuck you actually make the story MEAN something after youve made that change by just not adapting the claudio/hero plot at all come onnnnnn

I feel lame for not having many ocs tbh. Whatever i do what i want forever
#idk i feel like my entire art is only ever used on drawing pre existing characters#usually from popular ips i feel so shallow.#any ocs i make i never get attached to. and if i do im too nervous to post them#or like with my fandom intrests i love them so intensely and then a month or so later#i dont give a shit anymore. i wish i wasnt so reliant on pre existing characters with pre existing personalities to draw#my attention. and draw in general.#bc when im not in an intense intrest phase i cant draw for shit. thatd be a perfect time to draw my ocs right?#but i need to be intensely intrested to draw in the first place. and they aren't fleshed out they dont have content#yhere is no book or movie or show or game. ive gotta do all of that. but that passion isn't there#i get no big ideas for stories of my own. no characters with compelling backgrounds everytging i do#just feels like a rehash or repackaging of something else.#and insult to injury. usually i can pinpoint exactly which pre exosting character im ripping from#which nothing wrong witg inspiration. if it was anyone else i'd be like fuck yeag dude thats awesome#but because its me it feels like stealing stealing stealing i cant think of anything on my own so i must steal#idk. whatever.#i mean i do have ocs but i havent drawn them in fucking forever it feels like. and i love them ig#for once i cant really pinpoint where i pulled them from. but too nervous to post them on#this blog and also again. drawing them feels like a chore because the obsession isnt there#vent#whateverrrrr my interps are baller my lines are swagular. im gonna make it whatever#and also i feel like a flake with my intrests and its not deliberate but sometimes i feel like im#pullibg people in from fandoms then pulling a switcheroo gotcha on them by being invested#in something else#which obviously im fucking not thats stupid im not doing this on purpose#but it still feels so yuuuuucky like im sorry ik this isnt what you folloed me for. sorry#SJATEVER i win at art wbatever whatever

hobbies: extensively researching horror movies because i'm too much of a scaredy cat to actually watch them and because i hate watching movies
#horror is a fascinating genre to me and i do looove working with it#and i believe the best way to improve your writing and art is to engage with other media. so you can learn from others!#like even if you end up hating a certain book or movie or show or video game or whatever that's a valuable experience...#because now you know what not to do in your own works!#but because i'm too scared to actually properly watch or read or play horror i feel like my horror writing and concepts may be lacking..#so i like to pull up random horror movies sometimes and look into their plots and the characters#and if they were adapted/inspired from a book i'll look into that too#looking at silence of the lambs atm. didn't know this was a horror movie i thought it was like#idk. a coming of age story about a sheep herder😭???

When I was learning German my teacher pulled me aside to ask which of my parents spoke German. I was confused and said neither. Then belatedly I remembered that my dad did speak very rudimentary German after being stationed in Heidelberg for a few years.
This teacher was well loved but very strict, being questioned by her was always a little intimidating. I didn’t know why she was asking.
She pressed to ask if he spoke it with me and I laughed nervously and said no I asked him not to speak it because he couldn’t even conjugate verbs.
Apparently my accent was so good that she assumed I’d had more than one year of practice. The problem was my vocabulary. Ironically I needed her to translate the word for accent as I was unfamiliar with it. I was a decent student but some words tripped me up.
One day she conducted an oral exam and asked us to talk about the hospital. We could say whatever we wanted. In the middle of my nervous little monologue about how we go to the hospital when we are sick and the doctors and nurses help us she suddenly burst out laughing.
I had never seen her laugh before, at least not more than a sensible chuckle. But here she was, bent over her stomach cracking up leaving me baffled as to how talking about the nurses could possibly have inspired this extreme hilarity.
The word I was trying to use for nurse was “Pfleger” but I’d said “Fluger”. (Possibly fliegen? It’s been a long time) What I said was close to fly, and the teacher was imagining flying nurses drifting along the hospital wing.
She apologized and tried to compose herself but she admitted that hearing my extremely competent accent saying absolute nonsense was the highlight of her week.
