A clockwork apprentice Danny that has to fake Jason’s death because he accidentally meddled in the event leading up to it and now he has to act fast because he literally can hear Batman’s running steps catching up to him so in spectacular fashion Danny panics, goes “shit shit shit” and puts Jason in the ghost version of a coma but like expert level pumps him up with so much ectoplasm the kid legit dies for a hot minute there.

…It makes Batman think his kid really is dead like he is supposed to so not all is bad, the timeline is back on track.

It’s just that now Danny can’t leave Jason to be be buried in the ground like he was meant to be originally, instead he waits until no one is looking to snatch the kid up and take him with him to the infinite realms.

Jason is legit convinced he was kidnapped.

Jason: who are you and why did you kidnap me???

Danny: what— kid I didn’t kidnapped you, I saved you

Jason: likely story

Danny: really kid I’m not kidding this is not a kidnapping

Jason: well then can I go home

Maybe I’m just too attached to comic, but i don’t buy Bruce’s speech at the end of the UtRH movie.

The whole speech about not being able to come back from it if he killed joker, he’s too calm and controlled, it sounds rehearsed to me. I could picture him saying that weeks early but not in that moment.

I vastly prefer the overwhelming emotion shutting down any sensible debate like it goes in the comic: The face of his dead son is in front of him demanding he break his vows and kill his worst enemy. Throwing all his Worst trauma in his face, After weeks of Bruce losing control of the very city those vows are meant to protect, after being forced into a vicious fight with said dead son. This isn’t the time for Making a Case for Restraint, this is the time for freaking the fuck out and throwing a batarang without thinking it through. This is the time for Batman’s iron will to crack.

I was telling my sister about Titans, and she was like, “the whole Bruce/Dick/Jason storyline is like the prodigal son story, with the older and younger brothers' positions switched,” and I was like ohhhh???

If you think about it Tim and Dick became Bruce’s sons later they eventually saw him as a father but they were his partners frist like how in the 90s it was the Wayne family and the batfamily with Tim being a bat but not a Wayne until his becomes both and how Dick started as his ward and became his son.

But Jason and Damian have always been Bruce’s sons it was essentially their whole point to make the Batman and robin dynamic into a father and son one and not just a mentor and mentee one and they like died because of it like Jason died because ppl didn’t like that Batman had a kid so Tim was distinctly not his kid and Damian died because of who his father was too

They were all damned by their relationship in a way not matter the form because the narrative demands it but I really do like how the distinction in the characters can influence Bruce’s relationship with them with this context and I think you can see a shift in mainly Tim when he went form faking an uncle so he wouldn’t be Bruce Wayne’s kid to insisting that his name is Drake Wayne

I want a Batfam au were Tim and Damian have a normal sibling relationship, but due to the fact everyone else in the family has been the only child up until their adoption into the family and don’t necessarily have the most normal sibling relationships with each other (Jason+Dick pre Jason’s death didn’t talk, Jason has heavy resentment for Tim, Dick is more of a distant mentor/hero to Tim, Cass isn’t around much, and Duke is new to the family) they don’t realize Tim and Damian have a perfectly normal sibling relationship. But to their only child brains they don’t know this and subsequently they think Tim and Damian have a really unhealthy relationship and hate each other. Like they get Canary involved to observe them and she’s just really confused because her and Sarah (White Canary, and her little sister) do all this stuff all the time, this is normal.

I want Tim!Robin and Red Hood caught in camera fighting where Tim’s being such a little shit trying to get Jason back in to the family and get him to bond, that Jason ends up throwing back “Yeah, how’s fracticide for a bonding activity?” Only Tim smiles like the little freak he is. In his mind, he is like wow he skipped steps two to five and acknowledged we’re brothers. progress.

meanwhile, Jason is screaming in frustration and shooting at him, but just missing him cause he is sorry about titans tower but that’s about it. he doesn’t like the brat, he doesn’t want to play happy family with him and he doesn’t appreciate his efforts of purposely getting in dangerous situations in front of Jason so he has to sweep in just because he feels guilty. (Tim is totally trying to get him to associate him to safety)

Anyways the next day Jason wakes up to a bunch of headlines and conspiracies stating his sibling rivalry with Robin publicly which what. Now Jason has many of his enemies trying to get back at him via the little idiot and oh my fucking god Jason has never been so distracted as to having to keep up with bat comm than he is now. He curses everything and everyone and begrudgingly has his goons act like traffic light protection control.

Yes Jason has accidentally been given the chance to redeem himself by dealing with a problem he himself made and he’s giving himself sooo much shit for it. He literally never meant everyone to question in polls who’s now more protective over Robin—Jason’s literally mortified????to have Batman compared to him in that regard??? Jason may not like Robin at all but hell is the bar fucking low. that he refuses to let the dumbass die in the same colors he did is—is not a fucking custody battle?? what why is Vicky Vale painting it like that

Jason swears he has never hated the media more than he does now. He is constantly framed in being in a competition with Batman?? which yeah he gets a fucking kick of winning one over the asshole but he literally said it in that fucking video (the beginning of his downfall) he is the Tim’s older brother why do they have to bring Batman in the conversation?? he fucking hates him.
