It appears to be bread day on tumblr, so here's the Michael Sheen bread toaster video for the vibes

Superb direction. 1000/10. Every shot, every transition was perfectly timed. The sound was synced beautifully to the toaster clicking, building the atmosphere and urgency even though there were no clear stakes. The dialogue was so understated but it was positioned perfectly. Just where it made sense to add it, nowhere else. The use of diagetic sound, the clicking toaster, to add to the mood. The transitions themselves, oh man. The way one shot of the bread moved to another, like the clicking of old-fashioned slides in a projector. The perfect POVs. The variety that they managed to bring to one simple, repeated action. The stillness in the kitchen filled with frantic motion, and the restless motion in the beach that was mostly deserted. It's like a beautifully choreographed dance. Not one step out of place, not a single missed beat. It felt flawless.

Today's book is 'Don't Ask About My Genitals' by Owen Exie Hurcum, published in 2022.

This book breaks new ground in non-binary publishing. In it, Hurcum described their childhood as an agender and genderqueer person (under the non-binary umbrella). With a focus on exorsexism(1) and transphobia in society. For example, the transphobic question "What genitals do you have?" serves as the inspiration for the book's title.

I read some of this book, but I haven't finished it yet.

[*Hurcum's pronouns are they/them, so the nasal mutation in the Welsh shows that the ei pronoun is neutral (neither masculine nor feminine ei).

**No transphobes or exorsexists ask this question respectfully, so I wrote 'ti' and not 'chi'.

i luv tht ppl thought burn was 5'11 for a good amount of time like have u seen him. he's literally tiny. u know that joke how 5'9 looks sooooo much shorter than 6'0 / 6'1. it's so true like he looks so small in tw all the time, until hes next to freema or naoko who are both 5'2. also that scene in pr1 where hermann's behind stacker + herc and he's like barely peeking over their shoulder,,, tiny!!! little lad!!!

This amazing human says more with a look, a raised eyebrow, the slight almost imperceptible tilt of his head than others can say in a complete thesis……. Myself included.

And John Cales voice makes this even more haunting.
