Recovery | heroesofbr00klyn
@heroesofbr00klyn [continued from here] Steve sighed softly and lay back as Peter’s fingers brushed through his hair. “You’re not gonna lose me, Peter. You know I’m pretty tough, right? A few hunters aren’t anything for me to take down and their fucking wolfsbane bullets don’t work on me. I didn’t want them hitting you or Der or Cora. Stiles was helping and he got hurt too but I don’t see you fussing all over him…”
"Wolfsbane effects humans, too, Steve. Especially when concentrated into ammo rounds." Peter countered, thumb brushing Steve's cheek. "Trust me, Derek is reading him the right act in his own way." he countered. "You know he's much more quiet in his scolding." A sigh escapes him and he leans over to kiss Steve softly. "You are my everything, Steve. I'm always going to worry when you're hurt."

Peter kissed Steve's hair softly. "Of course, Steve. We need time together more than they need me right now." he replied. Adjusting, he let his fingers run through Steve's hair. "Get some rest, my mate. I'm not going anywhere. I'm sure Derek or Stiles will bring us food when breakfast is ready."
heroesofbr00klyn:
Steve sighed softly. He really did just want to hide himself away here in the bedroom with Peter and not deal with anyone or anything for a couple more days. So much had happened, too much. He knew Stiles needed Peter too in a way, especially with the loss of his father. Peter was their alpha and they all needed him but he was Steve’s mate and right now, he knew that took precedence with the older wolf.
“I want to stay here a while longer… I know you need to see to Stiles and… help him with everything that’s happened with the death of his father but… he has Derek too and right now… I just need you to myself…even if that sounds selfish.”
Peter gave a soft chuckle, nuzzling Steve. “Steve, they will be fine for a day or two. I have been gone for months, they’ll understand that we need time alone.” He moved to let his arm drape over Steve’s waist. “I’m just happy to be home, at your side, again.” He adjusted to press a kiss to Steve’s lips, letting his forehead touch his mate’s. “My precious captain.”

Now that we are remembering mercenary Spiderman in the alternate timeline, I do have some questions.
1) Even Wade knew that their relationship would be SOOOO TOXIC AND DOOMED TO FAIL, my horny ass need to ask this. Would the sex would be worse with the morally dark Peter?, cause I think he would be a super selfish lover (I don't do this question in the askblog, cause I might add more emotional turmoil into poor Wade.)
2) is that Peter gonna be ok in his lonely timeline?, or is something that we better not to worry about.
3) this is not a question, but I think it is fun to add. I do remember when after Peter died in Civil War, Wade shows two intersecting factors about him. (Although I might be wrong in some
A) Although Peter is always angry and bitter, Wade is scarier, when he is actually angry.
B) While Peter is a creator and protector (cause he's is a genius scientist super hero), it seems Wade is a man that gets things done, he is actually really good at fixing stuff (not for the greater good and more for his own and loved ones gains). Yeah he kinda messed up the time stream, but no one's seems brothered about it., both of them bring the best of each other even though it is not perfect is cute and healthy.
C) Wade has healed a lot, he recognized unhealthy behaviours from himself and others ( one reason he denied edgy hot Peter), and choose the healthiest option
D) Wade is so hot
I really loved what you gift us with these two boys
hooh man, hooh man. okay. 1) good question! there is many a fic for that. i didn't write anything, but xenospider on AO3 put the time in. 9319 shades of grey - tl;dr - you're right. alt!peter is selfish in bed. selfish in life. selfish in just about everything. the opposite of the peter we know and love. that's not to say the sex is worse - this peter is more experienced - but all of the freak that lives in nasty, dirty, twisted peter also lives within our timid wallflower too. one just has to unlock it. similarly, nasty, dirty, twisted peter also has the same generous, romantic heart that beats under that heartless facade. one just has to unlock it. so after a warming-up period, you'll find that they're both equally good lovers. they're both peter parker, after all.
2) this timeline doesn't exist no mo! rest assured - in this universe, it's not the whole - two universes existing concurrently, no sir. this peter is our peter. they aren't two separate peters who can meet in the multiverse, no sir. the only way wade can visit that peter again is if he alters history again. this peter is fortunately not lonely. he's head-over-heels! in love with his boyfriend who has thighs like a tree, and he has a job at the bugle, and has never made a kill, (as far as we know).
3) to your point B – deadpool's kind of the embodiment of second chances, to me. he's just – that's his real mutant ability. always, somehow, managing to get a second chance. even if he thinks he doesn't deserve it - he always makes it happen. that's his origin - and he just keeps finding a way, over and over. to your point C - really, i don't know if any option is ever healthy for one wade wilson but - his decision to decline edgy hot peter was less about what's good for him and more about what's good for the world. the world is uglier without a hero like spider-man to make it brighter. he could stay with this peter and make a lot of freaky sex and win over his heart all over again - he did it once, he can do it twice - but - he didn't pick the selfish option. he didn't indulge - because he knows the world is better with heroes in it. he knows it isn't right.
for once, this was a decision wade didn't make for him. he made it for the world. he did it so the world would be a better place. he's a selfless hero. kisses him.
and to point d, you're so right. kissing him again.
thank you!!

Karla’s Choice by Nick Harkaway
A new story about cold war spymaster George Smiley written by John le Carré’s son expertly evokes the atmosphere of the originals
They do it with James Bond, so why not with George Smiley? The estate of Ian Fleming has allowed many new 007 books to be written by luminaries such as William Boyd, Anthony Horowitz and even Jeffery Deaver, to keep the franchise (and, perhaps, its copyrights) alive. So why not try the same with John le Carré’s great anti-Bond, the diffident, corpulent and brilliant spymaster of “the Circus”? At least here the literary pedigree is unimpeachable: the novelist Nick Harkaway is also le Carré’s son.
You wouldn’t want to plonk Smiley down in the present day and have him mutter owlishly about pronouns and smartphones. He belongs to the cold war, in his anonymous overcoats and ability to live in Chelsea. So Harkaway sets his story in a gap between canonical Smileys: after The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (published in 1963) and before the events of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (1974). (Smiley appears only in the background of The Looking-Glass War, 1965.) We are in 1963, to be precise, and the events recounted in The Spy Who Came in from the Cold are still fresh in the characters’ memories: they are all grieving for their colleague Alec Leamas, gunned down at the Berlin Wall.
What a treat it turns out to be to wander anew the fusty, crumbling warren of the Circus (not the peculiar open-plan brutalism of the 2011 Tinker Tailor movie). The original gang is all here: Control, with his spectacles that always catch the light just so, in order to make the lenses seem opaque; the fast-talking Hungarian hard man Toby Esterhase; Bill Haydon, the old-school charmer who will shag anything that moves; Jim Prideaux, the soldier-poet scalp-hunter; Peter Guillam, the sorcerer’s apprentice. They all act as aficionados would expect; the stentorian research queen Connie exclaims “It’s a song of sorrows, George”; while Harkaway has a lot of fun in particular with the speech patterns of Esterhase, who almost steals the show: “My God, this fellow. He’s making heavy weather, doesn’t want to play … You think we just bust him right now? Disgraceful conduct from a so-called diplomat, hobnobbing with professional assassins, we are all shocked, tell us everything or it’s persona non grata and no more Harrods.” Later, the reader is almost inclined to cheer when Esterhase explains, after a spot of fisticuffs: “I like to fly the flag for rootless cosmopolitans when I can.”
You ask about the plot? Well, Susanna Gero is a Hungarian émigré who works in the London offices of Mr Bánáti, a literary agent who every day “performed a series of ludicrous exercises devised by a Swiss”. One day her boss goes missing, and another man arrives at her door to explain that he was sent by the Russians to kill him but has changed his mind. There follows a satisfyingly slow and circumspect investigation by Smiley and team, followed by a similarly slow and circumspect chase across Europe. Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Lisbon. The atmosphere is delicately painted in all the appropriate shades of grey.
The prose of Karla’s Choice is not an absolutely perfect exercise in ventriloquism of the master, nor does it try to be. There may be a few seeming anachronisms (we hear of old field agents who lack the “chops” for management; the word “definitionally” to mean “obviously” is overused), but there is a satisfyingly cold tone throughout, recalling the way that le Carré’s own furiously tamped-down moralism (in the novels of the 1960s and 70s, at least) could approach nihilism. (A doctor’s report on a man’s torture “noted with disapproval the unscientific use of lit cigarettes” on his legs.) Harkaway might be a smidgen warmer and more sentimental, but he is also funny in the right way: in Control’s office there is “an electric fire which seemed to generate only false expectation”. He demonstrates superbly, too, how suspense can arise from the patient accumulation of detail, and the brilliant climactic scene is nothing so vulgar as an action-movie shootout but rather a sequence of ordinary bureaucratic peril: the attempt to cross a border when one’s papers are not quite in order.
It cannot be a bad time to revive old George, what with a resurgent Russian threat (not so subtly adverted to herein) and the popularity of the TV series adapted from Mick Herron’s excellent Slow Horses books, starring the 2011 film Smiley, Gary Oldman. An afterword, mentioning the genesis of a wonderful new character, an expert Indian forger, or “artist”, hints that Harkaway might be planning more such stories. Well, le Carré once said that he didn’t write as many Smiley novels as he had planned because it was too hard to get away from Alec Guinness’s definitive portrayal in the classic 1970s TV adaptations. So at least we know we have the master’s blessing. And a drop more of his narrative voice’s caustic decency, expertly continued by Harkaway, would not go amiss in these times. “We don’t do justice, though, do we?” Peter Guillam remarks at one point. “That’s another department.”

A few more Headquarters song spotlights...
“Band 6 as you may remember was the Warner Brothers cartoon theme. Michael was learning pedal steel and played a little bit on it and we did this thing where Mike and I went, 'da, da dum…' and Micky’s going (makes crazy sounds) on the drums and it was absurd. Then Chip Douglas, who was our producer said, 'I think you got it Micky' and we burst into all together at the same speed and at the same time and ripped through it to our amazed surprise and joy. The fact that we were able to find a way to make that part of the record, that to me was the point of Headquarters. It was us wild guys, us crazy kids, doing the best we knew how with what we had. I listen to that album now and it’s tinny and a little bit like a teenage garage band and we weren’t teenagers any longer at that point but it had that teenage garage band vibe. It wasn’t as slick as the first two albums. I think things like Band 6 and Zilch and the fact that we were making the arrangements of these songs ourselves as we went on through it. I particularly remember working out the piano introduction to Shades of Grey and doing some arrangement ideas on Mr. Webster. I remember all that stuff and that was the great joy of it for me. Making the record and just being part of the overall creative process from the ground up; that’s what I live for.” - Peter Tork, Rock Cellar Magazine, 2016 “You Just May Be The One” features Peter on bass. And as for “I Can’t Get Her Off My Mind”: “Playing the tack piano was fun; that barrelhouse thing. It was a lot of fun playing [different] instruments on [Headquarters].” - Peter Tork, Headquarters CD liner notes “‘No Time’ was just a Chuck Berry rip-off. We assigned it to Hank [Cicalo], who got into a little trouble about it, because engineers are not supposed to solicit songs. When RCA saw his name on the thing they thought, ‘God, he solicited this tune.’ He had to go in there and explain it to them. It was just a tip.” - Peter Tork, Headquarters CD liner notes

1, 3, 6, 8-10, 12, 14-17, 20, 21, and 26-28, please?
What song makes you feel better?
Oh, there's lots. One I often find myself turning to in hard times is "Dearly Loved" by Shaylee Simeone.
3. Reading or writing? Why?
I mean, it depends on if the reading or writing is good, doesn't it? ;P Generally, I guess I would say reading, because it's easier to do. But writing is generally more fulfilling, I guess, because I'm creating something.
6. What’s your favorite candle scent?
As I've already answered, lilac is my top favorite. A close second would be fresh linen, though. Or just anything that has a light, clean, soapy sort of smell, really.
8. Whats a fabric/texture that’s nostalgic for you?
What a weird question. I don't normally think of texture as being nostalgic... But you know, now that I think about it.... I don't know if anyone will know what I'm talking about, but there's this particular kind of floor that's...concrete, maybe? But it's speckled, like there's a bunch of rocks mixed in together before it's smoothed out. And it's not just grey; the ones I'm remembering were green or pink. The floor isn't rough, exactly, but it's more porous than a tile floor or something. Anyway, we had that floor in a couple houses growing up, so the feel of that against bare feet is pretty nostalgic.
9. Best childhood moment?
The best? Oof, that's hard to pick. Okay, this is going to be a super nerdy answer, but one of the best was probably the Christmas when my brother and I got a Nintendo 64 ^^' We'd played it at people's houses before, so we knew just how fun it could be, but it was always one of those luxury items we assumed we'd never get. But then my aunt and uncle got us one! And completely changed our lives forever.
10. When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried? (or just felt really good afterwards)
Hmm, trying to think of another one...nothing specific is coming to mind, but it was probably while playing Spider-Man with my sisters. We tend to get very giggly, especially when things start glitching out or Peter dies and flops down in a ridiculous position.
12. What calms you down?
Psalm 121 is my favorite, and reciting that to myself is really good for making me feel better when I'm anxious about something. "The Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night."
14. What's something upcoming that you’re excited for?
Christmas! It's one of my favorite times of the year, and this one is shaping up to be really good. I don't have work, I get to go to my sister's Christmas Eve service and hear her sing in the choir, and my whole immediate family will be together for Christmas for the first time since...I don't even know when! And we get to do it in our new house, which is very exciting.
15. Comfort food?
Gotta throw a shout-out to @bunnyscar's curry with sweet potatoes. Perfectly warming on a cold winter's day.
16. What’s something you want to create soon?
Aw, if I hadn't just finished it, I could have said my next AMV! But I do actually have a YTP idea that I'd really like to make once the holidays are past and I can devote time to it....
17. How do you feel best loved?
As I answered before, Quality Time is my top love language. Gifts comes second, though. A truly thoughtful gift that shows you know me and what I like, or even better, a "just 'cause" gift? Oh, my heart! I've held onto silly little trinkets for years just because someone gave them to me as a gift and that means so much.
20. Tell us about a memory you hold close to your heart.
Hmm...okay, because it's Christmastime, this one popped into my head. One year on Christmas Eve, my brother and I were the only people awake, and we were in that very giggly stage of tiredness. So we took all the presents from under the tree (except for one that was in a big box) and put them in the tree instead, sticking them in all the branches. I don't remember when exactly this was, but we were teenagers, and at that point, most of the presents for my siblings and I were usually books/movies/games, so they were mostly relatively light rectangular packages, so it worked pretty well. It was pointless and silly, but we were very proud of ourselves XD
21. Tea, Coffee, or hot cocoa?
Already answered this - tea! Especially black tea, but I also like certain fruit teas. I hate the taste of coffee, and hot cocoa is usually so sickly sweet, after drinking one cup, I don't feel like drinking another for a loooooong time.
26. If you could live anywhere with anyone you want, where would it be and who would you bring?
I don't really care where it is, but I would love to live at least close by @rainintheevening and @sergeanttomycaptain. Even if we had to build a really weird house with like three wings or three floors with different temperature controls or something, if we could at least have a central area to hang out in together, that would be awesome <3
27. Do you like to garden? Have you ever grown something?
I have two brown thumbs, unfortunately :/ I'm prone to killing any plants under my care, though I'm going to try to actually plant some things in the spring to spruce up my window well. Currently, I have an anthurium(?) plant on my windowsill that seems to be doing okay so far:
It put out some leaves earlier this year that started out red, so I thought they were going to be the flowers, but then they slowly turned green??? But now I've actually got a nice, bright red flower just in time for Christmas!
28. What are you proudest of?
My...stick-to-it-ive-ness? I guess? Like...it will probably take me longer than someone who's actually ambitious, but if I decide I want to get a project of some sort done, it will get done. Eventually.
Soft Asks

Lily suffering in m/m Fics
I don't know what is the big deal.
I mean Sirius who is protagonist in so many fics, general or romantic or slice of life etc, himself goes through unimaginable suffering to reach an ambiguous ending which is bittersweet.
But these people have problem with making lily suffer. Why? Because she is a female character. And in the times we live, females are not supposed to suffer???
Isn't it upto the characterisation of the author about what happens to lily. And the storyline.
Maybe she started cheating on james with snape and James rather than confronting decided to give her a taste of her own medicine. Maybe in such scenario lily comes back to her senses and wants James back and maybe James is finally done with her and lives his hea with sirius. This right here is a happy ending for prongsfoot and not so for lily.
Or maybe James is a gay man with strong internalized homophobia and he decides to trap the most popular girl in the school so that no one can ever doubt. But once her relaxes and feels safe after marriage, he decides to go out and test the water, so to speak.
No lily Evans bashing. This is a tag I only see with lily. The one character in hp world we know the least about. And the author was successful in making us all believe that because James and lily were oh so great- any suffering that comes should come to lowlifes like sirius whose own parents hurt him or Peter who was born a traitor or hell even snape whose teenage years shaped into all the wrong choices and worst imaginable adulthood.
James and lily and specially lily should not suffer. The most you can do is kill them before old age. Anything more is unacceptable because lily is a woman.
I mean common.
I agree that it should not be done for the sake of bashing or making her out to be the thorn amongst the rosy prongsfoot Or jegulus relationship.
No, absolutely not. I agree that her worth shouldn't be only as a girlfriend or wife.
But she could be a grey character of her own whose poor choices and wrong decision lead to some suffering.
We see she smiles at snape's cost. We see that she doesn't sympathies with a teen petunia. We see her being friends with snape until he uttered that word to her, up until before that she was discrediting every other muggleborn in school by putting her head under sand. Because I feel that only muggleborn snape showed a basic human decency towards was her.
In fact i see her as capable of being a wonderful grey character. So why limit her with only being a Mary sue who is the best and gets the best. She was freinds with snape, a dark gray shade character. Wife to James, again a grey character. Then became friend with Sirius, again an ambiguous in terms of good or bad character. Canon lily surrounded herself around morons because she herself was a moron.
And life is unfair. We know this.
So why should it be unfair to only sirius or james but lily has people marching for her to only get a happy and respectful and wonderful life.
Even gods suffer in whatever mythology you pick.
But lily shouldn't???
So aren't you asking for the same as jkr. A sweet wonderful life for our dear lily evans because she as a female and a mother is great so she should live a wonderfull life.
Hell, my mother is the most wonderful person I know but let me tell you that being good at heart doesn't make the suffering less. If anything good people face most trials in life....
Ps- being cheated on is based upon how much respect your partner has for you. I mean yes love can fade but if they respect you as a human. They will have the decency to cut things off before starting something new. But in no way is being cheated on is about the person who is cheated.
In fact all these people marching for lily should just chill because at the end of the day even if she is cheated on, she will have the moral high ground.
The real question is - was canon James Potter as a character capable of cheating her????
#Lily Evans critical#Not so critical#Just stating facts#But i dont won't to trampled by lily lovers#James Potter#Prongsfoot#Sirius black#If lily is a human she will suffer#Or else she is just a cardboard piece like jkr's version

The Church of England currently teaches two totally incompatible visions of God. On the one hand, there is a gospel of grace, where the love of God is unconditional and available to all. On the other, there is a God who places restrictions on that grace and asks the church to act as the gatekeeper. The latter teaches that if someone like me, a lesbian, has sex then I will go to hell – a truth as central to this branch of faith as believing in the virgin birth or the resurrection.
For years, the church’s solution to this contradiction has been to kick the can marked “LGBT+ relationships” down the road, and the “historic” proposals announced last month on sexuality were no exception. They continue to embed discrimination by refusing to recognise civil marriage as “holy matrimony” and only offer token prayers of blessing to gay couples, cunningly blessing the individuals rather than their union. There are also many shades of grey – especially as to whether our unions can actually now be consummated. All this from our established church, the official state church that operates thanks to delegated powers from parliament, which continues to be allowed to discriminate against those it serves.
This is an unholy fudge. It is a mess designed to try to keep us all happy but that has only succeeded in upsetting everyone. Progressives are angry – they know that while discrimination remains embedded in our teaching, LGBT+ people’s lives will continue to be severely impacted and pose a major safeguarding risk. Conservative Christians are miserable, issuing a statement saying that any hint of change will mean that they will call on their churches to leave the established church.
The church cannot be allowed to continue kicking the can down the road. That is why I have tabled an amendment at the General Synod next week, requesting that provisions for equal marriage legislation be brought back to the synod at its next meeting in July. I am not alone – following her tea with the archbishop of Canterbury, Sandi Toksvig has concluded that “the present position is untenable”. Parliament was also given a warning by Peter Bottomley, the father of the House, during an urgent question last week, when he said that “the Church of England needs to wake up”. Even Penny Mordaunt, leader of the House of Commons, has said as much in a letter to her bishop.
The proverbial can in this scenario is the LGBT+ community and our relationships, and we get badly hurt every time it is kicked. Current church teaching has already cost far too many LGBT+ lives. It has led to countless LGBT+ teenagers being rejected by their families while others are crushed by heavy weights of shame and guilt. A large number have left the church, such as Wes Streeting MP, who last week in parliament told his own story of rejection and hurt.
Against this backdrop, my synod amendment also proposes that we remove the apology that the bishops have tabled in their motion, which seeks to “lament and repent” for the harm that the church has “caused and continues to cause” LGBT+ people. I believe this would be better until such a time that this discrimination, the “kicking”, embedded in the current proposals ends. Put simply, it is sheer hypocrisy for the church to apologise while at the same time wilfully enabling the abuse to continue. It is also hypocritical for the archbishop of Canterbury to say that he “joyfully celebrates” the provision of prayers of blessing for gay couples while refusing to say the prayers himself and while stating that he would rather the church be disestablished than split over same-sex marriage.
The powers that be in the Church of England would like us to accept that this is just an issue of differing “points of view” with each having equal merit, despite the harm that is inflicted on the lives of LGBT+ people. It won’t work. Those vigorously opposed to equal marriage will never accept there is a diversity of views on this. To them, prayers, blessings, marriage are all the same – if any ground is conceded then all is lost. That is why the matter needs settling now, once and for all.
I understand it was political expediency rather than doctrinal theology that lay behind the bishops’ proposals, as they did not believe that a vote on equal marriage would get sufficient support in the synod. Rather than capitulating to these fears our bishops – and indeed all those on the synod – need to show some spiritual leadership and embrace the Anglican moral tradition of conscience, making room for a plurality of views.
Unless we do, I foresee this will be the hill on which the Church of England, quite literally, will die.

The fun part is that the OP seems to try and make this as a negative, rather than what it really was, aka Scott evolving on the issue, and evidence of him growing into his views, rather than them being some naive notion that he stubbornly always insisted on.
yes, Scott did agree with wanting to kill Peter back in s1. Why wouldn't he? Peter had murdered people, he'd assaulted Scott, violated him, terrorized him, threatened everyone Scott held dear. And more than that, killing him would lead to giving Scott a chance to be cured, to have his life back, to be safe again, and have a chance at a peaceful future where he didn't have to worry about being a werewolf... Of course he'd consider it.
In s2, he tries to do the right thing, tries to defend Jackson, understanding that Jackson is a victim. Even after Jackson tried to blackmail him, and betrayed him to the Argents, even after Jackson has given Scott zero chances to care about him.
But he also has to deal with not just Derek, who is dragging innocent children into the whole werewolf crap, endangering their lives as Derek heard Gerard threaten to kill any werewolf in town. But worse than that, he has to deal with Gerard. A man, who despite being human, is more dangerous than any of the supernatural beings Scott has had to deal with. And not only does Gerard torture Scott, worse than that, he threatens to kill Scott's mother, not just once, but multiple times. Scott could have given up. He could have just done what Gerard told him, handed Derek over to Gerard, get rid of at least one problem that way. But he didn't. He never told Gerard where Derek was hiding out, he never truly gave Gerard any info, the man couldn't have gotten in some other way. But more than that, he went to get help from the one person who'd proven Scott could trust him. Deaton. So when Gerard used Jackson to threaten not just Allison, but everyone else in the room, Scott did what he had to do, he followed the shades of grey, pretended to obey Gerard, forcing Derek to bite the old man, knowing he had a plan in place to stop the actual biggest threat in the room, probably fully aware that it could kill Gerard.
Because no matter what anyone tries to claim, Scott wasn't going to let innocent people die, just so he can stay up on his high horse and refuse to kill.
And then comes s3, and Scott has to deal with Jennifer (as well as the alpha pack), And Jennifer has already killed again and again, she's shown she has no remorse over this, and she's about to kill Scott's mother and the parents of the two people Scott cares about the most.
So Scott was willing to kill Jennifer to get her to stop, but was stopped from doing so by Deucalion, who just like Derek, was awed by watching Scott become a true alpha, something that changed something in the mad alpha's mind, (and which we later found out set him on a journey towards redemption)
Just like in s4 when he didn't disagree with Derek, when Derek offered to start a deadpool against all the assassins coming after the supernaturals in Beacon Hills, or when Scott never even tried to make Argent get rid of his guns. Hell even by s6, when he was willing to work with people that went against his every moral instinct, like Peter, like Deucalion, like the feral pack
See here's the thing, yes, Scott just wants to save as many people as he can, he wants to save lives, especially those of innocent people. He's not going to kill people as the first and only option, he'll give chances to people even when they don't deserve it. But he's not against killing in any and all cases, and never has been. And he's not in the least big judgmental against others who kill in self defense. He's just against killing victims, he's against seeing victims as monsters, because he knows from first hand experience what it's like to be seen as a monster, and to have your life be seen as meaningless.
He didn't start out with a 'I refuse to ever kill, no matter what the circumstance' viewpoint, and he still hasn't got that viewpoint.
It's just interesting that people judge Scott so harshly over the fact that he dared to grow and evolve over the course of the show, and that he learned form his experiences, and grew wiser from them. When to me, it's one of many reasons, why he's probably the best and most interesting character on Teen Wolf.

“I’m going to be stuck in bed for how long?” (From Steve for Peter or Tony)
"Until I'm certain you're better." Peter counters, shaking his head. "You may be able to heal fast, Steve, but even the serum can only work so fast." Blue eyes are worried, the slightest hint of crimson around his pupil as he fusses over his mate, sitting one the edge of bed as he pets his fingers through Steve's hair. "I can't lose you, Steve. I would lose myself in that pain and never get back. The pack doesn't need to witness an alpha in a spiral from losing their mate, especially Derek and Cora." His voice is soft, watching Steve intently. "I can't live without you."

You Found Me | heroesofbr00klyn
@heroesofbr00klyn continued from here
Steve had been in Beacon Hills for about six months when the oldest family in the town, the Hales, held their end of summer part for the whole town, all ages, all people. It was nothing small or cheap by any means. Steve worked for the Sheriff's department, having retired from the Avengers and from government work about a year ago. The party was semi-formal and so Steve was currently wearing dark chinos, a blue button down shirt, no tie, and an open vest. He had a drink in his hand and was listening to the Sheriff's son, yet again, talking about what he'd been doing at college. The young man was engaged to one of the Hale boys, though Steve never could remember which one.
STeve had caught the eye of a man early in the evening with darker blond hair and fierce blue eyes that drew Steve in. He kept seeking him out all night, their eyes occasionally meeting and the other man giving him a teasing smile each time.
It had been a couple of hours and Steve was heading to the bar when he saw the man again, but this time he looked put out and uncomfortable. A woman was talking to him and kep getting closer to him, a hand on the man's arm which seemed to irk the man to no end. Steve frowned. A rescue was in order.
He quickly walked over and slid an arm around the man's waist, kissing his cheek softly. "There you are, sweetheart. Sorry I was so long. The Sheriff's son got overly chatty. Are you ready to grab another drink or have we had enough fun for tonight?"
Peter wasn’t a fan of the annual party when the Hales had numbers, but after the fire, the event hadn’t been priority. Most of the family had burned alive, Peter himself had been forced to undergo over a dozen skin grafts, and he was thankfully back to his former look, though a very large chunk of the family inheritance had gone to the process. Peter knew that he and the other five survivors, his own kids, Jackson and Malia, and his sister’s children - Laura, Derek and Cora - were still well covered financially and the police were looking for the team responsible. However, nine years had passed since the fire, and the girls had insisted they hold a party to hold tradition and Peter had let them choose the theme and helped get the location secured. The girls had set up a memorial wall along side, photos of the many family members lined with candles and flowers of all kinds. Peter had been surprised when the images of his dead wife and youngest daughter were there, and he had avoided the memorial wall as much as possible as they waited for the guests to begin arriving.
Once the party was in full swing, Malia and Jackson had easily found their friends, Laura and Cora had coordinated outfits and were out and about. Derek had found his fiancé, Stiles, and the two hadn’t been far from each other for much of the night. Peter himself kept meeting eyes with a handsome man, a deputy if he was right, and he was impressed at the male. Something wanted to draw him closer, but Peter had feared getting close to anyone recently. Enough time had passed for him to find a new mate, but a part of him was terrified of losing anyone else. When a few hours had passed and his glass was finally empty, Peter found his way to the bar to refill his drink. That moment was when a news reporter had approached him. She had wanted an interview from the Hales in regard to the fire; how they had adjusted and moved on from the tragedy that made national news, and when Peter had politely told her to fuck off, she had turned off work mode and begun to hit on him. It was unsettling to say the least, because Peter knew the type. Get your story by working your way into the target’s private life and then post everything they open up about.
Then there was an arm at his waist and it felt as if all his anger and tension melted from him. He was startled by the kiss, a spark tingling through him. He found himself relaxing into the blonde, lips curving in a thankful smile. “I believe the fun has run it’s course.” he answered, wanting to get out and get some fresh air. He reached behind him to move Steve’s arm and lace their fingers. “Shall we?”

Candlelight | walkinggatorbait

Peter was quiet as she approached, knowing she was lying without listening to her heart. His eyes closed, a faint smile curving his lips as he let her hold him. “The anniversary is soon.” he said quietly, knowing Celine would know what he was saying. The silent stare down with a simple flame happened more frequently around the month before and after the anniversary of his family’s slaughter. The urge to fight her grip was strong for just a moment, but the wolf in him soaked in her warmth and scent in a way that made it impossible to fight Celine in a moment of weakness like this. “Should we go to bed?” he asked, though blue eyes didn’t stray from the candlelight in front of him.
“I’m sorry,” Celine whispered and pressed another kiss to his shoulder. Sighing softly as she held him, rubbing her thumbs along the back of his hands. “I don’t know. Will going to bed make you feel better?” She asked. Comforting him about this wound was always hard. There wasn’t anything she could do to ease Peter’s pain. While she waited for him to answer, Celine took a quick breath and blew the candle out. She didn’t want him staring at it any longer.
The sudden breath from his mate extinguished not only the flame, but the spell the simple blue and orange bud of light held over him. While Peter hated to see it go, he knew it was better if he didn’t fight. He leaned back into Celine, reaching up to pet a hand through her hair. “It will when I have you with me, my precious queen.” he promised softly, tilting his head back to kiss her gently. Celine was more than the one who brought him back; she was his second chance, his reason for living and the one thing he would willingly die for again. “Everything is bearable when you’re with me.”

Stiles had done s lot of research since Peter had become an alpha again. Mainly on the subjects of mates. He’d been having dreams of Peter is wolf form, shared dreams from what Peter had been overheard saying to Derek. But both wolves had been avoiding him lately. Even the pack had avoided him. It hurt. With all he’d done... it hurt to feel u wanted...
Peter knew who his mate was. He knew. But He wouldn't risk a war with Scott when the town needed protection more than ever by saying it out loud. So he'd done what he could to stay out of the McCall pack's business, but always close enough to be near when asked for assistance. His pack consisted of a resurrected friend and be liked to think Stiles was his even if Scott laid claim so valiantly anytime he was around.
He had been asked to go to a pack meeting at Derek's and an argument had ensued over whether Peter was fit to be an alpha and Peter had angrily left to the mountain cabinhoirs away that he'd bought the first time he'd left Beacon. He was gone just over a month when he got a call from Scott apologizing and when he pressed, Peter discovered Stiles had nearly died and Derek had been forced to explain it to Scott. With Stiles' life literally on the line, Scott had been forced into accepting Stiles was a member of Hale pack and Peter returned driving fast enough that even he wouldn't survive a collision.
He arrived and with a singke bite, Stikes began to heal and Peter refused to leave his side, perched on the foot of Stiles' bed with his back to the wall. Always alert, never letting anyone except Lydia or Derek in to deliver food as they waited for Stiles to wake.

Steve was in the kitchen. The pack would be over tonight and he was happily inside, humming quietly as he worked to make a large enough dinner for everyone to enjoy. He heard Peter and turned, his smile brightening as he saw the large bouquet of roses his mate was carrying for him. “Peter… they’re beautiful!”
Peter smiled as he set the crystal vase down, adjusting the flowers. “Well, tonight is special and tomorrow is Valentine’s Day.” he replied. “The pack is ready for whatever news we have.” he walked over to kiss the blonde, humming softly. “I can’t wait to see their faces when we tell them you’re expecting.” he wrapped his arms around Steve’s waist, kissing his neck. “We still need to decide on how to set up the nursery.”

It's a fun thing, to see what kinks they like. They've discovered quite a few in just spur of the moment dares and requests. Peter laughs from where she's pinned him, blue eyes watching her as he arches a brow, but relaxes thanks to her response. "And what if I would rather just eat you out, hmm?" He asks, glad the parental kink thing can be scratched off despite having put the idea out. "I'm glad we can cross that one out, honestly."
