If you think a deeply experienced trial attorney, let alone a career prosecutor, ever needs a teleprompter, you're absolutely an idiot. Do you think we get to use a teleprompter in trial?? Do you think we even get to use written scripts??

Juries hate seeing lawyers read off of things. They think it makes us look inauthentic and unprepared.

Jury verdicts in criminal trials must be unanimous. All jurors have to vote to convict as guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If even one juror has reasonable doubt, the prosecution loses.

So, as a prosecutor, to earn a conviction from the jury, you have to learn to not only memorize what you want to say, but to do it in small topic chunks, because you will need to move pieces around in your mind in real time, and you need to say in a way that sounds fresh and engaging. And you have to memorize tons of material because you never know what's going to come up and need to be addressed, or what will be excluded or become irrelevant.

And you need to be very careful with your words because if you say something wrong, it might be grounds for a mistrial and then you have to start over with a new jury months from now. Or grounds for an appeal and the conviction gets reversed entirely. So prosecutors must be very good at thinking on their feet while being very careful in what they say.

Career prosecutors are smart as fuck.

The idea that Kamala Harris needs a teleprompter is absolutely absurd. You can certainly disagree with her policies, you can certainly dislike our criminal justice system, you can certainly dislike prosecutors, but you're flat fucking wrong about her oratory skills.

Tucker Carlson isn't going to claw his way out of hell to fellate you. And though there is always room for another in Putin's polycule you don't seem like a useful idiot. You seem like the regular old boring type of idiot. Useful to no one.

I'm just saying, the Six of Crows Spinoff would have made big money for Netflix. Likely even more than the first season of Shadow and Bone, just look at how highly rated Six of Crows is on Goodreads with a "95% liked this book" average score. As well as how hyped it is on BookTok and the fuck ton of fanart and fanfiction.

Constantly, I also think about how Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young, Danielle Galligan, Calahan Skogman, and Jack Wolfe would have had a blast filming the Ice Court scenes. Just imagine the utter chaos in the bloopers and interviews. The insanity of the six of them (plus Kuwei!) clinging onto the side of a tank, four of them soaking wet, two covered in bits of glass and one in purple silks, and they're just storming through the snow while screaming "WE HAVE A TANK" at the top of their lungs.

I will cry now.
