A shortcut!#Now imagine for a sec trying to get through a parkcore + miros bird gauntlet with a corpse and a worm within 5 cycles #before the scav ran out of karma and you were stuck inside forever. Yeah #Besides that tho I've been messing around and been very tenderly modding the game.#Turns out you can have a bit of fun with most sprites without too much effort by simply cloning the MSC mod in your files #Then changing the copy's mod info so it doesn't clash and simply swapping images out for whatever you want #As long as you have the sprite name you can do this. You can also change region names and decals and music all sorts of stuff.#In short I've been brewing a custom mod for a friend to make her suffer as much as possible <3 #Thanks to a buddy on the rw server for showing me that trick btw lol. I hate men because today after years of my brother mocking me whenever I talk about something I’m well informed on by saying I did no research I finally told him how much it upsets me. So straight after he brought up my male assault statistics and called them fake before leaving.

Nothing like Heartstopper S2E8 removing some of Taylor Swift's "seven" lyrics just so that the singing can specifically come back in at "Or hide in the closet" while Isaac is processing difficult emotions related to the book he's reading (i.e., Ace: What Asexuality Reveals About Desire, Society, and the Meaning of Sex by Angela Chen).

Did I mention "Or hide in the closet" hits just as the camera focus finishes shifting away from Isaac?

#This is not fine #Warning: Long tags ahead (2 topics)#TOPIC 1:#I'm glad Isaac feels safe enough to be reading this book and processing emotions around his friends #That's the positive spin on “he's quietly dealing with a lot while next to his friends and they're not noticing and he's not sharing" right #The contrast of this with the happy friend-bonding montage time feels purposeful and sad (esp. with lyrics about staying in the closet)#but on the bright side this is in the midst of happy friend-bonding montage time so we also see them having happy bonding times together #- showing the friendship is still strong even if right now Isaac isn't wholly known or fully fitting #Hopefully this is leading to Isaac telling his friends what he's going through in S3 and the friendships adapting to fit him better #TOPIC 2:#Also - don't think it's unintentional that where the camera focus shifts to is Nick with his arms around Charlie and then kissing his head #I think we're being purposefully distracted from Isaac with allo 'cuteness'#Because what the other characters often get swept up in - especially as they all couple up in S2 - is alloromantic/allosexual interactions #And that's frequently what the world prioritises or cares more about too #I think the show is intentionally calling everyone - from the characters to us watching them to the whole world - out #So that hopefully we (general) can all be more aware and do better #[In case you were wondering this N&C/Isaac scene is also right after we see short clips of Elle & Tao and Tara & Darcy cuddling -#which also seems very intentional: Isaac - sandwiched in between views of cuddling couples - alone in more ways than one]#CONCLUSION:#I think everything is working together to highlight the contrast between what N&C and Isaac are respectively experiencing in this moment #Did I mention this is not fine?#It is well done though #heartstopper mini moment #isaac henderson #aroace #aromantic asexual #lgbtqia+#queer #taylor swift #seven

My post about Anya is making like a little ruckus on Twitter and I think it’s crazy how many people like have a problem with it.

Like you don’t have to agree with how I characterize Anya and her actions but it’s more like, why are you focused on only one aspect of her character? Why are you removing nuance from the situation? I don’t see it as giving Curly the benefit of the doubt when it comes to doing better for Anya, but as exploring his character and hers relationship with a the very little authentic facts we get about them. In truth, there’s a lot more I wish Curly did, even if it wasn’t pragmatic but I realize the issue there.

The first psychological horror game in a while that’s real intricate in its storytelling and makes you need to really need to address the morality of intentions and its already getting torn asunder smh 😔

#I don’t know if it’s the case of people who hate curly and think he should’ve just killed Jimmy won’t accept anything else #but I really am trying to get the idea that they were stuck for over a year in space together on a ship barely kept together with wildly #different and conflicting personalities who also got more hostile because they know they are going home to unemployment #it sounds heartless to say and he should have prioritized her more but in his head that’s not the only thing he has to manage and he has to #fit the necessary actions to take in his head with all that including his perception of them as a friend vs as a boss #idk I just don’t believe Curly was comforting Jimmy with the intent of helping him get rid of Anya. he wanted to help both of them he went #about it horribly like the game is literally about realizing how misguided you can be and that responsibility #and how to be responsible look different even if there are better options like it’s just weird just block my ass dawg #also I think the argument of how could the situation be worse if he stopped Jimmy is stupid cause it’s under the guise that Curly would #assume someone he trusted would just try and commit murder suicide or he’d get degloved and all his crew directly #or indirectly killed by that friend like sorry if that’s a reach statement like adding #your supplementary thoughts is how analysis is born but adding facts about events we don’t know happened and treating them like character #truths is lame is a cop out from actually engaging with parts of the story that adds grey areas to characters you wants to see in black #this is just a stupid like thing to me but it makes me sad cause I don’t even hate seeing depictions of Curly as more aware and #accommodating to Jimmy purposely but I need you to understand he thought he was doing the right thing for both his friends and his closest #friend but the key point is he thought he was doing right for both of them like what game were we both watching???#mouthwashing #like just block me pls like Anya would not share ur mindset or hold ur hand like do more than just pity her if you like her so much

2nd hitch in Mississippi and the mosquitos have been just as bad as the first one. We've been pretty miserable and it's almost impossible to do anything at camp once the sun starts going down, which makes dinner and dishes a huuuuge pain

Today me and my crew lead finally got our shit together and made a smudge pot with punky pine wood, some pine resin, and some dry cedar

It's lunch time and we've barely had a single mosquito. This has worked so so well it's kinda crazy, we're definitely going to keep doing this for the rest of the season. I also got some beautyberry leaves to add

i have some closeted friends online, and one of them just had something bad happen (not going into any specifics at all because of privacy) but like... THAT is why KOSA scares me. how are they supposed to get help? how are they supposed to feel safe ever? if the government can so blatantly try and censor LGBTQ+ identities, and neurodivergent people, and FUCKING GENOCIDE what's next?

and i don't really have to be scared like others. even though i am neurodivergent, it is not super severe, and i am cis straight white dude, i have life on easy mode. i hate when people have to hide and i want to help but i can't. i can't even hug them. the closest i can get is typing on my screen and hoping it reaches them safely and that they haven't died.

im not scared of KOSA because of what it would do to me, but because of what it will do to my friends, and people who are suffering like my friends, and people who are suffering in ways i can't begin to fathom. it's a very hard feeling to describe.

now the government wants to take that link away from me, from my friends who supported me in my times of need, and, hopefully, who i supported well too. it is a feeling of desperation and depression and anger.

im really just typing at this point, and im probably not making a whole lot of sense, but it basically boils down to this, and im directing this at YOU Senators and Representatives of the U.S.A:

Stop KOSA, keep our friendships intact, and ACTUALLY do something to protect kids you fucking inept dumbasses.

Today I found out my son took it to his school to show off to all his friends and his teachers because he loved it so much, and I’m like:

#sorrrry pity party part 1323 incoming #i am finally feeling slightly better - still no appetite and not like myself but i want to get up and showered and dressed and stuff #and can actually walk around #and mr sportsthoughts has just come upstairs and looks like death and it sounds like he is now coming down with what i've had #we thought he already had it but it never progressed past a cold so i think it was something different & now he's caught the plague from me #i just want to cry. and go to sleep until 2025 so this year can be over #we have cancelled SO MUCH this week and are going to literally miss every single friends and family christmas occasion at this point #and hahahaahaa at least we'll be fine by jan when we have to go and fly and see his parents which is the one thing we both don't want to do #and its fine we are ok we're together we're fortunate to be in a dry warm house etc #i'm just really letting my feelings get the better of me because i have put so much emphasis on christmas this year - even more than usual #because it's been such a rotten year and christmas was just this wonderful few weeks where he'd be home and we had all these special plans #and it was the one thing keeping me going and now it's here and well. we aren't exactly on tip top festive form #womp womp. nothing can be done! at least i'm alive and on the mend
