Welcome to Ask-1248, an ask blog for my Marvel universe!

The Golden Age of Heroes, often referred to just as the Heroic Age, is over. The Avengers have fallen, broken by a disaster that left its core members presumed dead. Many other heroes have moved on to do other things with their lives. That's not to say superhumans have been forgotten - quite the opposite. But with SHIELD in complete disorder and the lines between good and evil becoming blurrier with each passing day, a desperate director turns to an unusual source, proposing the idea of reviving an old-fashioned notion.

The culmination of almost ten years of roleplaying, creative writing, and staring at blank Google Doc pages for hours on end, this is an ongoing project in which I create by own Marvel universe by doing everything I can to not make it "just another Marvel universe." I want to break new ground, try new things, and explore new concepts.

Tech Talk: The New Armor

Okay, so let’s get into the fun stuff for a second -- tech. Because even when life’s uncertain, there’s always a new project to dive into.

I’ve been tinkering with some new ideas for armor upgrades. Nothing crazy -- just a few adjustments here and there. Dad’s old War Machine suit is a beast, no question about it, but there’s always room for improvement. I’ve been thinking about ways to make it more adaptive, more responsive. Maybe something that doesn’t just respond to my commands but learns from the way I fight, the way I think. The old suit is a great tool, but it’s more like a weapon. I want to make it feel like a partner -- like it’s a part of me.

I also played around with a new energy shield concept. Imagine the repulsor tech combined with an adaptable barrier. I’ve been talking with Shuri from Wakanda about some new materials -- light, yet tough as hell. We’re still in the early stages, but if this works, it could be a game-changer for defense in battle. Maybe that’s where I’ll focus: protection. I don’t need to be the next War Machine, but I can be someone who shields others from harm. Something worth thinking about.

For now, the suit’s still in the testing phase, but I’ll keep you posted if anything major changes.

I'm going thru ur angelverse tag rn cuz I'm writing a bit about computer angels and you've got a lot of neat stuff in there and it's got me curious abt what that's about. 🎤

so angelverse is this original fiction setting i made up for an rp server that no longer exists. i lost the server in the divorce but kept all the lore and worldbuilding i came up with for it. which was pretty much all of it. it's an urban fantasy/cosmic horror story set in a universe where angels are these powerful eldritch machine aliens whose species is in decline due to their dysfunctional, heavily militaristic society, near-perpetual conflict between various political factions within that society, a mass lack of purpose beyond warfare, and dwindling resources available for the continued propagation of the species.

the story mainly focuses on exiles from this shattered civilization; fallen angels banished to earth, usually for heinous crimes or extreme miscarriages of justice, and angels who were considered unfit for active duty due to personality or utility flaws and "reassigned" there under the pretense of some kind of nebulous greater purpose, but actually just abandoned for being weak links without the disgrace and ceremony of being officially exiled.

these malcontents, misfits, murderers and weapons of mass destruction, and how the people of planet earth interact with their presence, create most of the central conflicts that drive the story - death, rebirth, the horror of having a body, the existence of free will, machiavellian schemes, supernatural turf wars, epic love stories, bloody revenge tragedies, cycles of violence, and those who seek to break those oppressive, infinite loops - but the threat of the various powers of the republic of angels finally resolving their differences and turning their attention to the unresolved issue of their discarded toys, or being called to war once more, this time by the increasingly frustrated human population that has unwillingly hosted the angels' castoff scraps for the past few thousand years, remains an ever-present threat that hangs over all like a sword.

Backstory: as a baby, they were picked up off the side of the road, but they looked a little strange. Growing up in California, they were raised by a family of one mother, six sisters and one brother, being the third oldest of the group. They wear a human disguise because they are a secret alien shapeshifter exploring earth! (They are actually born from Venus…)

Appearance:

Evan’s brown eye color matches their hair, although Eva’s eyes are a lighter brown.

Both of their hair is the same brown, but a blue and red/pink ombré.

BLU bandit, aka Evan, has somewhat crooked teeth (and find the excuse to wear their scarf more often to hide it. Mostly, to hide their smile). But Eva’s teeth are straighter, being the cloning process. Evan also has rather sharp canines.

Both bandits have beauty marks (moles) in the same spots.

Eva’s skin is slightly darker than Evan’s due to being in the sun more

Red bandit’s hair is a bit straighter, and shorter In the back. Blu bandit’s hair is more wavy

Facts:

both Bandit’s use they/them pronouns.

The BLU Bandit is actually the original, the RED being the true clone. Both bandits often, casually, switch teams because they get along with them better. They only kill their friends on the battlefield. (My headcanon is that the blue team is all clones of the red team, being born into the mindset of war, which is why some mercenaries may be more serious than the RED team.)

A strange fact about Eva, is that during Evan’s cloning, they were recognized as a human, therefor, they are not an alien like the BLU Bandit.

Eva is rather monotone and speaks a lot less than Evan. Although, they are kinder if you get to know them, despite looking angry as a resting face.

Evan has a tortoiseshell cat named Molly, back at home

They shake violently when having caffeine, and since they have anxiety they either get a burst of energy, or get anxious (choosing to ease their nerves by running or dancing), so they ‘aren’t allowed’ to have it, but would do anything to get their hands on coffee cause they love the taste.

Oddly enough, BLU Bandit melts (literally) when they feel a strong emotion (like nervousness, excitement, or extreme pain - so they often melt when they die during battle), but it’s somehow a normal thing to the others. (Melts into a puddle, but always returns in one piece)

Relationships:

Scout: He’s just too much similar to Bandit. They often bicker (usually in a playful way). Though sometimes, they like to talk about comics together.. they have a relationship similar of siblings.

Their duo name would be called Comic Twins

Pyro: Bandit and Pyro love to craft together! Even if it’s with the blood and guts of their enemies. Evan is also a good translator to his mumbling.

Soldier: These two often play fight like animals, but Bandit teases him more than actually doing something. They bond over their love for raccoons and rockets! Bandit sees him like an uncle or a ‘stupid older brother’.

Demoman: they are Very close with him - If Demoman isn’t with Solly, he’s with Bandit or both of them! And Bandit seems to have a little crush.. they exchange platonic kisses sometimes and play piano together, but perhaps it’s a bit more than friendly.

Heavy: Bandit and Heavy have a family like relationship. Like they do to others, bandit likes to mess with him, but he doesn’t react as much as the rest do. So taking that into consideration, Bandit is calmer around him and nicer.

Engineer: The last thing this Engineer needs is for a sneaky thief to steal parts of his machines! He gets frustrated with them sometimes, but they’ve got a silly thing going on. Bandit sees Engi like an uncle, and he sees them like an annoying little nephew.

Sniper: While sniper studies aliens, it doesn’t help that he works with one, though he doesn’t know for sure (even though he’s correct). Bandit knows of this, since Sniper sometimes tries to call them out, but they ignore it, protecting their secret, by playing it off as a joke. Besides that all, they’re quite good friends.

Horus has a mech literally made out of graywash, and another that's a weaponized cognitive hazard. SSC's White Witch literally shreds everyone around it and turns them into armour for itself. Harrison Armory has a mech built around flamethrowers, a mech built around mines, and third built around naval artillery.

So ehy is this person calling our parent company the portable war crimes people? Caliban is just an aggressive pursuit frame, the worst it has is a really big shotgun.

Why the association with the same guys who made the portable warcrime machine (caliban)

I have terrible news for you about every single mechanized chassis ever built: they are all portable war crime machines, or at least can be in the wrong hands. The Caliban is unusual only in that it makes no pretensions as to being anything other than a killing machine, and that it has no civilian applications to help it pretend otherwise. In that sense it is much like a sword, or gun, or any other mundane weapon.

To actually address your question, however, we accept aid from IPS-N, knowing that they benefit as well, because with the ships and chassis they provide, we are able to directly oppose those who would commit the war crimes you mention, and in so doing save many more lives than we would without.
