In truth, Mineru had hardly found a thing out of place or to fuss over after maybe the fourth time (truly the second time around if Mineru were being absolutely honest), but was it not the duty of an elder sibling? To aid in preening and preparation certainly, but a faint recollection of teasingly poking a Rauru that once had scarcely came up to her shoulder brought a wry smile to her face.
She tucked a lock of his mane back just once more before he could mount another protest and stepped back. With her slight grin poorly hidden behind the resting of her chin in hand, she looked up to him, perhaps noticing for the first time that she had to do so when conversing with him now. "I do apologize, Rauru. I must have been lost in thought."
In all the whirl of preparation for the ceremony, it had seemed so apparent this day how much he had grown. Rauru is tall and strong, a fine warrior renowned across the land. To see him stop and converse with the various delegates and guests offering congratulations, and how he had responded with grace in the different customs of Hyrule. His hands steady enough to apply the kohl-like liner to his lids without her help.
"You know I am proud of you, yes?" Mineru cannot help the misty sheen that comes to her eyes as she looks fondly upon her younger brother.
[ADJUST] Sender straightens/fixes receivers clothing (perhaps for a big occasion like his coronation)
It felt like this was the sixth or seventh time his elder sister sought to fix the way his top cape lay around his shoulders. He's been tolerant of it, knowing his sister sought to make him look as presentable as possible. It was a rather grand event, today he would cultivate a new era of prosperity to Hyrule. But the next time she stopped him, he leveled a rather tortured gaze that was almost comedic. Taking her hands softly into his to impede her, " Mineru, I know you mean well. But please, fussing over this will only drive us both mad. "
He was nervous, yes, but he couldn't stand to think about it, " I'm sure everything will be fine, clothing is the least of our worries, my dear sister. "

With Ravenna's permission given, Mineru gently takes her wrist in hand, keeping claws clear of skin as she turns it over. The smooth scales of the zonai's free hand hover over where her pulse would be felt. Mineru extends her senses with a gentle laugh. "Versatile indeed. A mage capable of wielding a single element is rare enough."
Just under her own smooth scales, she could feel the strange aura of the other beneath the pulse of flesh and blood. It puts her in mind of how she feels zonaite, the sheer potential of the material and the myriad shapes it could assume. Even then, zonaite could only ever be made into different shapes, little to say in regards to true transformation. Or was that similar to
"I would not be troubling you too much if I asked for a demonstration, would I?" Mineru wished she had her library, or at the very least her wax tablet for note taking. Her eyes flick upwards finally, and Mineru takes in the expression with a smile, bowing her head forward slightly. "I do appreciate the indulgence of my curiosity."

“The essence of magic courses through my veins and exists fully within the structure of my very being,” she says while offering Mineru her other hand. Don’t be so hesitant.” She giggles. “I enjoy the company of those willing to sate their curiosities. I believe t’is best to question everything, otherwise you’ll be left wondering and wondering gives imagination full reign to make silly, inaccurate conclusions. As a scholar, you already knew this. So, you may ask away.”
Ravenna’s golden gaze observes the other fondly. Watching the change of her expressions and every cautious movement she executes. Though this is their first interaction, the witch already feels comfortable and even the beginnings of an emotional attachment.
“I may seem limitless with my magical capabilities and knowledge, but t’is not the truth. While I can manifest and manipulate different magics; such as, the elements of shadow, fire, air, and so on, I do have limitations to how much I can use at one time. If I use too much, my body grows weary. I could collapse from exhaustion and blackout for several hours, even days. If I use too little, I feel as though I’m going to burst. I can extend my magic for others to use and even amplify their own natural abilities. I can also transform the shape of my being, so long as I’ve studied the creature extensively, taking on the visages if fauna and monsters. I’m plenty versatile.”

The one eye exposed by the tunic widens at the appearance of the two footsoldiers, relaxing at their twin salutes (associates? he said he was chief..) before wondering once more at poof of talismans spinning in the air. The girl, when she had come to them, had barely seemed to grasp the extent of her powers.. Was this teleportation a lost art by her time? One unique to the Yiga? Maybe the Sheikah as well given the way Kohga had brought them up in comparison to his people..
Her ears prick up at the mention of the zonai tech. In her surface life she had known her ancestors to have left evidence of the massive amounts of zonaite pulled from the earth somewhere, and after her journey to the Depths she had found the remains. Old pillars framed by the flickering light of poes.
The finding of intact zonai devices surprised Mineru though. Had they been concealed? Needed to be excavated?
"I can certainly try?" The zonai stepped forward, nodding uncertainly to acknowledge the Yiga who had appeared. "How did you come to find this place?"

For a moment all she could do was gape dumbly. The Depths had a sort of deep quiet to them, one that had easily made it's home in her within just the first few months of her time alone in them. Mineru had only her own body's rhythm to try and gauge just how long it had been since her self-imposed exile, the ever-present dark not exactly good for keeping track of time's passage. And it had certainly was little help for the sheer scale of time she had been gone.
Belatedly realizing that the masked man had been waiting quite a few beats for her response, Mineru swallowed, a sudden dryness (one that had always been there, perhaps just little noticed without anyone to talk to) gripping her throat.
"..Yes." Her voice was cracked, dry as a tomb. Garbed in the livery bequeathed to her by the Bargainer statues, Mineru knew the loose fit of the attire made her zonai heritage a little difficult to discern from the few times she had viewed her reflection in the water of the underground springs. Whoever this man was, and contrary to his showy, boastful attitude, he had discerned that at a glance. She would have to keep that in mind, especially given that the zonai had likely been long gone for near millennia at this point.
Delayed courtly instincts from a life long abandoned made her slowly straighten up to her full height. The zonai hacked into one gloved fist, trying to clear the lack of use from her voice. "..I am Mineru."
"My apologies for any.. fear I caused with my approach. I had come to investigate the new lights in the Depths." She motions towards the lit lanterns of the Yiga base with one hand, the other clutching a chipped staff.
A prickle of mild disquiet goes down the back of her neck, as she tries to place the design on his mask. "Apologies if this may seem.. odd, Master Kohga was it? I have been down here alone for some time."
"What is the Yiga Clan..?" This may have been the most words she's spoken aloud in near centuries.
@sagemechanisms He was resting peacefully they've found refuge by now since their fall from sand down to here in the darkness and they have also found bases at least they were until they heard somebody poking around RUDE! do people not understand that one needs to get some shut eye even around here?! It was hard work to do that! they have thankfully now reunited with their clan he is glad to see them all still in one piece but after all of that work they were tired ! and here comes this person snooping around. Kohga guesses they must confront them himself also not an easy task. " Hey! who the heck are you? and what are you doing in my napping spot???! --" Shaking their head doing a double take to get a better look at her. " Wait! you are one of those Zonai people! right???! IT'S YOU! you are one of those guys!! oh, excuse me i have not even introduced myself, I AM THE ONE AND ONLY SPUPENDOUS AND ONE AND ONLY MASTER KOHGA LEADER OF THE YIGA CLAN!"

"I believe I am likely the best versed in exactly what my people and I are capable of." Mineru muses, Ravenna's use of murder as an example making her ears twitch back in discomfort. Rather too close for comfort. "And I am certainly knowledgeable in my capabilities."
Mineru flexes her fingers absentmindedly as she studies the other woman, the teal-green of Ultrahand illuminating the limb in a soft pulse. She leans forward, her jewelry clinking as she rests a palm in the crook of an elbow as she leans slightly forward.
"Magic, true magic, wielded by beings like you and I.. My abilities in manipulating the spirit are one thing, yours-" The long limbs of the zonai woman would be quick to close the distance between the two despite Mineru's slow, cautious approach for the others hand. Like a researcher trying to figure out how to handle a delicate artifact, or trying to avoid the viscera of a dissection. Mineru remembers herself then, and pauses halfway through the action as she considers who she is talking with (and what they may be capable of). And her own manners, Hylia's sake.
"-I've never seen anything like it." Her tone is nearly reverent, her eyes holding the bright curiosity of a scholar.
..you think i could do something like that ? (morbid curiosity prompts)
“You are capable of anything,” she says as a grin curls her lips. “Take murder, for example. Anyone is capable, you need only meet the right person. Or wrong person, depending on your perspective.”

Ultrahand and Autobuild; Arts of the Zonai
Given that it may come up in my portrayals of Mineru, I thought I'd discuss how I choose to depict Ultrahand and Autobuild differently in regards to how they appear in Tears of the Kingdom.
To start with, I'm not going to write Mineru with the ability to pick up and bind together arbitrary items with Ultrahand. In my portrayal, the zonai exert this power through their cultivated connection to the zonaite mineral, so any object my Mineru attempts to manipulate in this way must contain/be made of zonaite. When it comes to instances like binding together logs to make a raft, that requires raw zonaite to shape into a binding agent that locks the objects together.
With the way Ultrahand binds objects together, the green goo seen appearing between connection points in game is 'melted' zonaite in my portrayal, and often the sign of a beginner at the craft. Expert users of Ultrahand & Autobuild are revered for how they can shape the material to seamlessly lock together devices. This can make it harder for other Ultrahand users to 'shake them apart', but it also takes more time to build in this manner. On a similar note, all it takes to thwart the power of Ultrahand is to put together your contraptions with nails/stakes/screws/etc, Mineru has power over zonaite, not building in general, and will be unable to take apart anything built traditionally. Though she may be able to lift it if it is composed of enough zonaite and depending on whether if it's in motion or not.
Now onto Autobuild! Where in the game there is a limit to one's history, in my portrayal it is based on memory and familiarity! Generally, assembling devices at such speed requires this to be a construct that the user has made quite a few times to establish the muscle memory. When it comes to the spontaneous creation of missing pieces via raw zonaite, that greatly increases the time needed to complete the construct, depending on the complexity of the missing part, and how pretty one is trying to make it. If you absolutely NEED to make a car and you're just missing a plank to serve as the body, making a lumpy slab of zonaite that works serviceably is possible, but making a cannon or beam emitter in a pinch isn't quite as easy.

What is your favorite thing about the research you do? And do you have a particular construct that you’re most impressed with?
"..My favorite thing about my research?" Mineru hums to herself a moment, lips lightly curling up as she ponders the question. It is generally not one she receives very often.
Slowly rising from her desk chair, she begins to walk.
"That which I have chosen to study is often regarded as unpleasant." She traces the shelves of her library as she goes, clawed fingers gently tapping over crackling parchment depicting what exactly ancient Zonai had used their homing devices and tracking turrets for. Wax-sealed documents containing terrible rites. "Much of it I hope to never see light."
A deliberate touch to the secret stone above her collar, and where it rests on the stylized tongue. "I will say, it gives me some manner of joy to know that my work may preserve this knowledge, however unpleasant, for those who can find a better use for it. Or failing that, so it may never be erased as though it never happened."
That last bit holds the slightest bit of venom in Mineru's pointed enunciation.
She stops where the wall of books and scrolls end, the surface instead shifting to a veritable honeycomb of hexagonal cubbies, containing smooth stone chests of varying sizes. The one she draws out is smooth, flat, and barely larger than the flat of her palm.
"As for your other question.. I have a particular weakness for flying devices. There is nothing quite like being eye level with the clouds." Luminous green flows through her limbs as her palm tense, and the box clicks open. From within, Mineru draws a small, pod-like piece of turquoise, smooth as a river stone, with a flat section almost shaped like a darner wing extending from it.
A thumb flicks across the 'wing' of the object, and thin, looping lines along its edges begin to glow with bright teal. "This one certainly has no ability to provide lift, but it is one that Rauru and I had enjoyed as children."
Her eyes glimmer with silent contentment as she gently tosses it into the air where it begins to hover in place; gently spinning like a maple seed falling from a tree. A ribbon of the same green-blue that powers the constructs snakes from the end, spiraling downwards in a cascade of soft light.
Mineru's voice is fond. "It's purpose is simple, but it's creation requires surprisingly intricate work. Zonai devices are typically rather large for a reason."
