ik its all jokes but ngl i hate when people are like “woaaaaaah have u guys seen how much furries pay for art….brb i gotta go learn how to draw furries 🤑” ik for outsiders it can be shocking how much some furry art goes for but like. the undertone of the joke is just “these freaks pay so much money for stupid art” and they joke abt just suddenly deciding to do it. as if its super easy and takes no skill or effort. like its easy money. “these losers will buy anything 😂” type energy. and the idea of ppl who have zero respect or interest in the community just basically seeing cash cows rlly pisses me off bc like. to me furries are one of the few communities that actually values artwork as the luxury it is and will pay accordingly, and a lot of furries that are well-off put their money into the livelihoods of artists in their communities and thats not stupid just bc the artists are drawing animal people

I think the most baffling thing about the Tulpar as a vessel to me is the fact that the ship really did only have a one way communication system.

I know it was cheap but even the most basic of vessels regarding major transport would have some way, shape or form for outside communication. Not only that but there was absolutely no form of innate emergency signal to show they may have been offline or in trouble despite clearly having a system to dock credits if they went off course. It's another factor that really shows that bad situations are made to get worse by design. One person who is required to relay all information to the crew and make all the choices without feedback. No way to update or call for help in case of a dire situation. No way to inform of inner personal conflicts and acquire procedures accordingly.

It really is like they are all in some sort of fucked up solitary confinement. They have their own world with strict roles that are meaningless in the end, as long as the cargo makes it, it doesn't matter what happens on that ship to the company. They don't want to hear anything and will come to conclusions on what happened based on how much pay they can withhold from the workers. Even what they do send is short, sterile and corporate to the extent it was likely written and sent out with a command by some random unmanned computer in an office.

There's something to be said about how unfair it is to force absolute power and control onto one person when you as an entity could do so much more to offload it but I've said it many times before so I won't again.

took a shower today, after 8 whole days of not being allowed after surgery. the first shower of the rest of my life where i got to wrap the towel just around my waist. and honestly. id do the discomfort of bandages and passing out during the drain removal and figuring out insurance and the agony of waiting and. well fucking all of it all over again. just for that simple feeling.

I think there's a lot of reactionary anger surrounding Taylor's handling of both Nightwing and Titans, and that's fair! But (and this is a big but) a lot of that has carried over into a desire to see the new writers in these runs take a torch to everything he did, especially with Nightwing. And that is unrealistic, Watters and Layman both have to work within the framework set by Taylor, and even if the plan is to tear down some of that it will take time and set up to get to that point.

A lot of people are being extremely critical of runs we've only seen 2 issues of, and it's far too early to tell I think. I'm not saying you can't have criticisms, there's a lot of valid complaints that can be had, and I do think I may be on the more optimistic side of this. I think it's still too early to tell.

Babs has been flat and mostly just his girlfriend, yes. But that's not any different than Taylor's take on her, and one benefit to her lack of presence has been that she hasn't been acting as Batgirl, which leaves room for her to function as Oracle. It's also very early in this run and highly possible he's trying to set up Dick as a fleshed out character first (it is Nightwing after all, not Nightwing & Batgirl) before working with other characters much. It's also a possible setup for more conflict between the two of them: him not making more time for her, her feeling unappreciated.

The immediate criticisms of Titans were mostly unfounded as well. I saw some "spoilers" (quotes here because they were horribly inaccurate) after the first issue of this run, complaining about Dick quitting and Donna and Roy being bitter exes, both of which were blatantly untrue, or mostly unfounded. And again valid criticism is valid, but false statements and exaggerations help no one.

I think we, as DC fans, have been burned a lot, especially recently, and it's fair to be hesitant, but I think there's room for optimism, and context is important. No writer is going to take over a run and immediately blow up everything the previous one did, they aren't going to come in and say "that was all a nightmare here's what really happened," especially after an award winning run (whether we enjoyed it or not Taylor won awards for NW).

TLDR - have a tiny bit of faith guys, cautious optimism is ok!

oh i am so excited holy shit. am i the only one getting slade vibes from her?? because im getting massive slade/rose wilson vibes from the single eye cover and im wondering if artemis is a plant, someone unconnected from slade who wouldn't be considered a threat, to go undercover and get close to the titans. this is also like, high-key a chance to make jade and artemis sisters and/or half-sisters in canon which would be neat. i know comics fans aren't huge on changes to the canon based on outside things but making them half sisters doesn't really change jades backstory, nor artemis'.

im kinda bad at talking to people on the internet but i always want to comment on art and music i like by small creators 1) because its nice to know and 2) depending on the website (like youtube) maybe it might help a little with spreading it around. but im still kind of bad at it. so a lot of people get an "awesome!!" from me and lemme tell you - i mean everyone of those "awesome!!"'s. i mean it with all my heart. sometimes a thing is just awesome, so awesome it needs more than one exclamation mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
