Obey Me Rewrite - the Passion Project
Note: spoilers below the cut
I’ve always been in love with the game obey me and been super passionate about it as a long time fan however the game itself is kind of lacking.
Obviously it does what it does well, it’s a dating simulator about demons from hell but what I mean is it lacks potential.
I love the characters and their relationships with each other and the overall concept, that is what made me fall in love with it in the first place however I do have my own issues with the game not as a dating simulation but as a story.
To give you more context:
Characterization
- characters are given great potential with interesting backstories and fun personalities however the direction the game takes them completely wastes any sort of progression as interesting 3 dimensional characters
Example: Satan - he is shown to show personal struggle with a sort of inferiority complex with the way he was brought into this world (or hell) by people only viewing him as an extension of Lucifer and only as wrath, not as an individual living being. He works hard to create a name for himself and he prides himself on wisdom. He has a strong character and one of the best self restraint in terms of anger I dare say (he did attack mc but honestly from the way he was acting in Nightbringer it is progression) plus he is calm and collected and obviously by now a respected demon. Though he knowledgeable in itself, he still has issues to work with, one being working out his difficulties with Lucifer, (maybe) coming to terms with the way he was born and the trauma he went through when Lilith fell (he technically felt Lucifer’s pain). Instead as the series progressed we only saw him a soft cat boy, cmon 😀.
There are much more examples of this in fact all of them have such wasted potential, I’m not going to go in depth (unless someone asks me to hehe) but a very notable mention I would also like to make is
Example 2: MC - I’m not going to comment on how they are dull or has no personality because actually they can be very sassy depending on which options you choose. Also the mc is supposed to just be a self insert so I understand that enough. Anyways what I would like to give note to is the fact that mc forgave belphie right away after he I don’t know KILLED US? Or should I say, more accurately, the game forced us to forgive him so we would have the belphie lovey dovey options (no hate to belphie stans I’m just saying). What I mean to say is that we shouldn’t have not forgiven him you know, honestly it’s more of pacing. We COULD have forgiven him and actually that would be interesting development and a look into their backstory as angels, however there was no real progression towards forgiveness or us even being remotely scared of him (I may be wrong on this but I remember belphie and mc becoming besties real quick with no hard feelings) like the snappy mc incorrect quotes I think would actually fit well into the story as well as proper talk and real progression towards forgiveness.
2. Concepts and storylines
This is slightly less of an issue but I do take slight to the way the game handles storylines. Season 1 was the best (in my opinion) because it was less of “uwu mc marry me” content and more of demons being demons.
Alright so this really bugged me but I don’t like how MC is a a descendant of Lilith, like I know the brothers and Lilith are not blood related and are honestly more found family and that MC and Lilith and so far related (in terms of how many generations were between them) that they barely share dna I believe (in terms of physical dna and all that good stuff not the angelic powers) but I’ve always found it kind of gross but I guess that’s just a me problem…
I’m going to take the next part of my issues with concepts and storyline as general as possible but it’s really long but… hell doesn’t feel like hell, or should I say devildom doesn’t sound like hell
There is technology in other depictions of hell (like Hazbin hotel) but that’s done better because it’s not so emphasized (I know DDD is part of the game but I think they drive the technology bit overboard) it’s a lot less subtle and hell just feels like an abridged human world with slight magic involved.
The demons don’t even act like demons or look like demons, as hot as their demon forms are they look like emo teenagers that just discovered hot topic like girl bye 😭. They don’t act remotely demonic like sometimes, and everything just seems like a cosplay is the best way I can describe it. I know it’s 12+ and not 18+ but I really enjoy the more gorey fanfic versions of obey me concepts because that feels like hell, it brings out emotions in me of shocked scared and surprised which is what Dre me into the game in the first place, not a bunch of boys going to play dress up and harass the MC.
I have much more problems with the game( I still love so obviously I’m gonna play it) but this is more of a rant and I just played Nightbringer so I hope there is more lore that resolves some of my issues but yeah!
I’m not that skilled of a writer or anything but I would really like to try and rewrite obey me as a kind of “real hell” as a passion project, obviouslt no characters, or anything trademarked belong to me this is more of for fun. Again I’m not that experienced so if anyone would like to give me tips on how to write or would lousy like to chat about obey me, about this rant and other issues or just obey me in general feel free to dm me I’m always looking for more obey me stuff hehe but yeah, or actually honestly I just want your opinion on this.
I know it’s not that deep it’s a game about horny demons but it still means a lot to me and I hope you guys understand where I’m coming from. Thank you.

Incorrect quotes
Thanks @unrepentantcheeseaddict for the tag!
Rules: use this incorrect quotes generator with your OCs!
Was excited to get this again cause I couldn't stop laughing last time
Noelle, trying to impress Jedi*: I re-initialized the entire command structure, retaining all programmed abilities but deleting the supplementary preference architecture.
Maddie: She turned it off and back on again.
*he kinda becomes a mentor to her
Robbie: *holds a gun out to Noelle*
Noelle: I-I don't believe in guns.
Robbie: Well, trust me, they're very real. Now take it.
Kelsey: I just found out that humans are capable of fitting a light bulb into their mouth with ease but can’t take it out without shattering it, and now I have to physically restrain myself from putting a light bulb in my mouth
Jedi: Say no to drugs.
Maddie: Say yes to drugs.
Akash: It doesn't matter if you say yes or no to drugs. If you're talking to drugs.. then you're on drugs.
Carmen: Are you alright with constructive criticism? I don't want to sound mean.
Kelsey: No, go ahead. I want to hear it.
Carmen: It sucks.
Kelsey: That's not constructive criticism.
Noelle: It was difficult, so you’ve just given up. You might fail, so why bother trying?
Lexi: Exactly.
Lexi, to Akash: I told you she’d understand.
Ash: That sounds super! Doesn’t that sound super, Carmen?
Carmen: No.
Ash: I think I speak for Carmen when I say it sounds really super.
Robbie: Act natural.
Lexi: For this kind of situation, the most natural thing would be to panic, so technically I can panic.
Robbie: NO, that’s not what I meant! Act like it’s a normal day!
Lexi: My ‘normal’ days of late, consist of a lot of panic.
Robbie: Will you just cooperate?
Lexi: When a person is panicking, they are not apt to cooperate very well!
Kelsey: So... This is my full potential?
Rose: Yes.
Kelsey: So, then it's...
Rose: All downhill from here.
Kelsey: Like Akash.
Rose: I do not know what this Akash is. But it sounds disappointing.
Gwen: Fight me!
Carmen, standing behind her and holding a knife: *mouths* Do not.
Some of these feel accurate

IncorrectHousamoQuotes in 2020
read me first please
so the blog anniversary was like... April 16. circumstances in 2020 made it so I feel like I owe an explanation for what I’m doing, and at one time I wondered if it’s necessary for a dumb meme blog but I know people care about this dumb meme blog. so this will be mainly 3 parts:
how narwhal had been feeling about the game in 2020
the future of incorrecthousamoquotes
closing remarks about the Tumblr community
how narwhal had been feeling about this game earlier this 2020 (spoiler alert: bad)
ok before I continue I want to say that I’ve been doing fine for myself in real life. I do acknowledge that I have the privilege of remaining financially stable this year and I am happy that I was able to keep my job I was just hired for in the beginning of the year. that being said please let me be internet melodramatic.
if you’ve known me personally and talk to me frequently in Discord servers then you may already know how I’m feeling in 2020. there’s a lot of people that don’t, though.
as part of me being internet melodramatic I do express the anger I felt toward the game and the fandom (outside of Tumblr) but I do not feel or say that the game, the fandom or anyone in particular did anything wrong. my purpose is not to criticize anything or anyone but just saying my feelings.
other than that, some of these feelings may be exaggerated and I do not guarantee my explanations of my feelings will make sense or be sufficient explanations for myself (then again since when did feelings make any sense)
basically me in 2020 was a result of major burnout in this game and the fandom.
my burnout technically began back in Christmas 2019 aka Mistake Christmas (I have feelings about this event but I choose not to elaborate right now) but I think the first thing that got me feeling burnout was late January with Main CH10 and translated CH9. until this point I liked to make self-deprecating jokes about how I haven’t read story yet but this was when I first began feeling I didn’t have a place in the fandom. like... who knew self-deprecating jokes could have a negative effect on my psyche if I think about them enough. how I can explain it is... in the past I wasn’t particularly crazy about new content in particular but I felt like I can vibe with people who were and I did have an interest towards new content. but CH10 was the first time I actively disliked new content and I took it really personally the fact I didn’t try to catch up with main story, so I started to mentally separate myself from the fandom even though I had no reason to. mostly because I held myself to more expectations than anyone would ever put on me.
so after Mistake Christmas & CH10 I ended up losing a lot of enthusiasm especially towards new content. I ended ignoring Val Timeslip completely but I did really like the Great Gendarme rerun. but my burnout hit an all-time low in April during New Semester 2020 which I will refer to as Worst Semester. now at this point I wasn’t looking forward to anything new at this point and the worst part about Worst Semester is that it was basically CH10 Part 2: about half of each banner was characters directly from CH10.
and this was when I started feeling angry at the fandom like an old entitled fan who hates change and can’t stand when people are having fun; basically it was a mix of envy and self-hatred that I couldn’t find anything to be excited about at that time. how could anyone like any of these characters, is what I felt.
that was even without considering the thing that tanked my mood for my blog in particular: summosnap. like even without considering the self-deprecating jokes about being cancelled it forced me to look back about how I’ve been running this blog and how I haven’t made a single new quote in 2020. long story short I kept comparing myself to the high expectations I put on myself and it ruined my motivation to work on what I’ve planned for the anniversary. so the blog anniversary passed completely burned out.
now I have been feeling better because the next few months weren’t particularly new content: May was just rerun month, and June was technically new but was basically from an old game that I liked a lot, so nostalgia has helped me feel better. now it’s July and we have completely new content and I’m feeling anxious over whether I’m willing to accept new content or not. right now in early July I’m actually focusing on other games right now (and reading main story on the side) so I’ll gradually start making more stuff for the fandom.
the future of incorrecthousamoquotes: the Tumblr
if you followed this blog in the past year, then you would know I didn’t have a regular schedule of making quotes in 2019, even though I did in 2018. in 2019 I did make quotes but it was released in batches every other month or so.
even in 2018 I’ve always made other Housamo content, so I’ve always given the impression that this blog is for whatever I feel like making (at least I hope I’ve given that impression) so when I remake my info pages, I will be taking the focus off of incorrect quotes. I can still make them when I get the motivation (and to clear my drafts of submissions I’m sorry) but my info pages won’t mainly talk about incorrect quotes as much as me just making whatever I want for Housamo.
I would like to make more personal posts like I did in 2018. For some reason I held off on the personal posts in 2019, but I think that contributed to my growing mental self-isolation and my eventual burnout. on a related note I’ve been ignoring my askbox and I’m sorry for that. one of the major reasons is that some of the asks I’ve been sent I have no answer to, but in the future if I have no answer to them I might just publish them anyway hopefully to start a discussion and have other people respond if they like.
I’m also going to be more open to just reblogging things because that’s something I’ve always been hesitant to do on this blog for some reason.
what hasn’t changed over the years is that I’ve always covered game news and game info and have taken time writing guides for this game. this will not change and I’ll continue to cover news in the future.
I still have unfinished projects in general and I hope to get them done this year.
the Twitter
as for my Twitter, I have mentioned before that I opened it again this April and will be using it just for uploading the video memes I make. growing the Twitter is not a priority for me, so I have no plans to change that right now.
--which is what I said before I clowned myself trying to make tweets that never took off so I’ve deleted them, sorry for trying to be an attention hoe
starting this month I’ve also permanently changed the name of the Twitter to summemepedia, which better fits the content I make.
closing remarks: I am so grateful for the Housamo Tumblr community
despite how I felt about this game in 2020 I’ve honestly never felt happier for the Housamo Tumblr community posting and writing about what they love. Tumblr as a blogging platform that encourages creativity is a website I will defend with my life and even though Japan mostly uses Twitter so it’s natural Housamo will revolve there, I will still be happy for anyone that still decides to use Tumblr.
I’ve made a list of blogs here that I’ve been saving for anniversary before I had my burnout so you can check out the list and suggest additions to it if you’d like.

Note
So I saw your post about certain sexualities being “just bi” and I wanted to discuss that with you. The reason that these other terms exist is due to the fact that bi is meant to refer to being attracted to TWO genders (of course if someone identifies as bi and for them it means something different I give no hate or judgment). These two genders don’t have to be limited to male and female, but they often are in certain definitions. Terms like pan refer to attraction that exceeds only (part 1)
two genders or the reason for attraction is slightly different (again with pan that means that they are attracted to this person regardless of their gender). I just want to know why they all have to be placed in the same category when fundamentally they’re meant to be different? I honestly don’t mean any hate with this, your post just made me curious and I wanted you to explain it if you don’t mind.
Alright well there’s a lot to unpack here but I will try. The prefix bi does, as you said, technically refer to two. However, since the 1990s, it has been commonly accepted in the bi community as not being truly “restrictive” to the two binary genders. Bisexuality is a common term and relatively well understood by the general public (even if they don’t respect it as an identity). The true definition of bisexuality, in my and most bi people’s opinions, is that you are attracted to the same gender, and other genders. Those are two categories, so it fits within “bi” as a prefix (even though language is almost never literal and latin prefixes mean fuck all in english half the time because english as a language is bullshit). You are correct in saying that bi people are not only attracted to “males” and “females,” but you are incorrect in saying that bisexuality can be any two genders. Primarily because bisexuality is not about attraction to JUST two genders but rather as stated before attraction to the same gender and other genders, but beyond that you are spreading a very dangerous mentality that is rampant in the MOGAI subculture on this site - that one can be bisexual without experiencing same-gender attraction.
As a non-binary person, I have a little fun fact: Literally everyone is attracted to non-binary people. They may not be attracted to ALL non-binary people, much the same way that people are not attracted to everyone in their gender(s) of choice. Non-binary, as a group and identity, is NOT a monolith. You cannot be attracted to non-binary people as an individual group because it is impossible to tell who is non-binary just by looking at them. Claiming that you can be attracted to non-binary people when we have no distinguishing characteristics comes across as extremely fetishizing. Even “monosexual” people (in quotes because I dislike that word) are attracted to non-binary people. Straight men are attracted to me because I am feminine presenting. Even if someone is truly androgynous, there are likely “monosexual” people who would be/are attracted to them. This is the problem with identities like pansexual, polysexual, and omnisexual; it treats non-binary and sometimes even binary trans people as a separate group that you must explicitly include in the word for the sexuality. And, as I’m sure you are aware, non-binary is an umbrella term; there are tons of words underneath non-binary and non-binary is not a third gender. As a result, bisexuality as the “attraction to two genders” is a pointless way to view it because if you claim to be attracted to women and “non-binary people” that already encompasses far more than two genders and I have never met a bi person who has two SPECIFIC genders to which they are attracted. Bisexuality’s lived, tangible reality is attraction to people “regardless” of gender the same way pan and omni define themselves and encompasses poly as well as you are attracted to multiple genders. By your definition, bisexuality is either a pointless, non-existent identity, or the identity of people who explicitly exclude trans people from their attraction because they are are attracted to “only” men and women. This is a biphobic conception. With my post I ask people to think critically about why they view bisexuality as so limited when the reality of bi people is quite literally no different from pansexual and omnisexual and all same & other gender-attracted people. By your definition of bisexuality you also invalidate the identities lesbians and gay men who are attracted to/identify as/are in relationships with non-binary people.
TL;DR pan/poly/omnisexuality is redundant because bisexuality is not “attraction to two genders” but “attraction to the same and other genders.” Non-binary people are not a separate group that you can be “attracted” to and therefore are included in bisexuality and all other sexualities for that matter. And you can’t be bi without experience same-gender attraction.

6 Proven Ways A No-Reply Email Address Hurts Your Business & How to Fit It
Tumblr media
Historically, organizations have used no-reply email addresses to dissuade customers from replying to certain marketing or transactional emails. However, the days of communicating with customers via “[email protected]” must come to a halting close.
At the end of the day, the benefits of no-reply email addresses are steadily diminishing, In fact, this time-saving “hack” is doing great harm by impeding customer retention and damaging email marketing efforts.
When their responses go unanswered or a no-delivery notification is sent, customers conclude that you do not in fact wish to engage in dialogue with them. As a result, they’re much more likely to take their business elsewhere.
You spend so much time drafting your emails and crafting the best subject lines. it’s high time business recognize the incredible value of encouraging replies. Not only are they an invaluable source of feedback, but they’re also a quick and easy opportunity connect to more meaningfully.
Below are 3 concrete reasons why no-reply email addresses are fast becoming tabooed and swapped out:
1. No-reply emails have higher chances of being written off as spam
In an effort to keep customers happy, internet service and email providers use certain filters to prevent spam messages from making it into their client’s inboxes. Using a no-reply email oftentimes gets your email caught in a spam filter thereby blocking messages from being delivered at all.
Additionally, most email service providers do not allow users to add no-reply email addresses to their address book.
Using a no-reply email address can inadvertently end up defeating the whole purpose of sending the communication when this happens.
2. Customers may feel frustrated by their inability to respond
Customers reply to emails for a reason. They may have questions, concerns or feedback to give. Perhaps the shipping address on their order confirmation is incorrect? Or maybe they need to contact support for assistance. Whatever the reason, your job is to make it as frictionless as possible for them to contact you. The easier that is to happen, the more likely you are to close the sale or keep that customer returning.
Also, a lot of the time, people fail to even check email addresses when responding. So if an email from a no-reply address delivers and your customer replies directly, they may think you’re ignoring them if no response if received.
Worse yet, if they get a no delivery error message, they may start to think your first email was spam. Either way, you’re really not helping your business’ image.
It’s a lot to ask customer to hunt down your preferred contact email address just so they can provide feedback. Stop adding unnecessary steps and pain point to their consumer journey. Do everything in your power to make two-way communication a breeze.
Remember, customers deserve to feel like you value their thoughts and opinions. If you do anything to make them feel like that's not the case, then they will be more likely to seek out a competitor who does.
3. Might not be legally compliant
GDPR (Global Data Protection Regulation) are a set of European Union laws that mandate how companies should be making use of the data they gather about customers and internet users. One of the main rules stipulates that customers must be able to request information about the data collected on them.
By indirectly preventing customer communication with the use of no-reply email address, you run the risk of breaching GDPR compliance. Realistically speaking, subscribers are essentially blocked from exercising their data rights if your business’ no-reply email address prevents them from making contact in the first place.
In other parts of the world, for example the United States, the CAN-SPAM Act gives subscribers the right to opt-out at any time they’d like. This means business have to provide customers and prospects alike with a valid email address that can be used for easy contact.
At the moment there is no specific provision that outlaws no-reply email addresses. Still, it’s essential that you consider potential violations and weigh the pros and cons. Also, do you really want to wait for a law to outlaw a specific practice before you stop using it?
The below infographic on Email Marketing Do’s and Don'ts should be observed before ever hitting that send button:
Tumblr media
In order to avoid having your messages blocked, hemorrhaging customers and potentially breaking the law, here’s what you should be doing instead:
4. Swap out your no-reply email for a real email address
You probably don’t need any more convincing, so I advise you to take immediate steps is to swap out your no-reply email address with a more enabling one. A few alternatives to consider include:
A generic, but more welcoming alias like [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected]
An alias specific to an email campaign’s focus like [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected]
Creating a spokesperson who could be an employee, a mascot or really any fake alias, for example all of Trello.com’s marketing emails are sent from [email protected]. Taco is actually the co-founder's Siberian husky.
Be creative and be efficient. Fight the urge to feel overwhelmed at the thought of loads of people responding to your marketing emails. You want to engage as many folks as possible and thankfully there are several ways of avoiding death by inbox overload. Below are a few tactics that can help.
5. Filter out automated responses
One of the best things you can do is practice filtering out any automated responses. These responses are pre-designed replies sent to acknowledge that a message was received, but are oftentimes automated and unrelated to your message.
Many inbox providers will allow you to specify certain rules that can filter messages based on set conditions.
This functionality can be used to filter out emails containing words like automated response or message delivery notification most commonly associated out of office or delivery failure messages.
Your inbox will thank you once this automatic separation is set up, plus the emails filtered out will still be in a separate folder in case you need to reference them for any reason.
6. Be proactive with providing resources
Granted, one of the biggest draws of using no-reply emails is not being flooded with email responses. One extremely effective effective way to avoid this is to provide as much information as the customer will ever need.
For example, after customers make a purchase, can you direct them to the Frequently Asked Questions page of your website? How about including a link to your help page in your email communications?
As you continue to create new and engaging content around the most often asked questions, be sure to include links to those resources in emails. Your goal is to answer your customer’s questions even before they ask them.
Another option to avoid drowning in customer response emails is to set up a dedicated email address so that you can separate email responses from normal business emails. If you’re using GSuite, this is a super easy set up. Other setups might require a little more technical help. Whatever the case, it’s a great tool for staying organized.
To Summarize
One of the surest ways to lose customers, profits and market dominance is by failing to adapt your business model and practices. There was once a time when no-reply emails were effective. But today, using a no-reply email address is one of many other email marketing mistakes we’ve learned should be avoided at all costs.
It’s user experience leaves much to be desired, it can reduce the overall efficiency of your email marketing campaigns, and can prevent you from receiving valuable feedback from your customers.
Even if you don't make the change overnight, you should definitely be exploring ways to move away from this tool of the past. Instead, you want to use an address email address that your audience can reply to. You also want to set up a procedure to manage these replies.
It’s better to set up your email campaigns, newsletters, and transactional emails with senders that instill confidence in your audience. With email marketing, it’s always better to put your customers’ needs first, as this will always result in better engagement and deeper customer loyalty. You might just uncover some valuable information in the process.

How to Build a Marketing Funnel That Converts
Tumblr media
Before tackling the question of how to build a marketing funnel that converts, it’s important to properly understand what a marketing funnel is.
Funnels come in many forms and have several different applications across a vast array of industries… but what are they, really? Are they a series of well-designed landing pages? Or eye-catching headlines? Or high-value lead magnets? Or relevant calls-to-action?
All these things are what a marketing funnel needs, but individually they are not what a marketing funnel actually is.
What is a Marketing Funnel?
The marketing funnel is a mechanism through which a brand can guide prospects on an emotionally-stimulating journey along the path to purchase, building trust and demonstrating their ability to solve problems and address pain points in unique and creative ways. The objective is to capture as many leads as possible at the top of the funnel and nurture them through the consumer decision journey, with the pool of prospects becoming smaller and more qualified at each stage.
This process, combined with a well-constructed, compelling offer, then becomes a system for turning prospects into leads, leads into customers and customers into powerful brand advocates.
However, achieving this requires more than just designing a funnel’s individual components.
What we must do instead is to focus intently on the needs and desires of our customers, so we can then reverse engineer the consumer decision making process to identify the most effective lead magnets, marketing copy and CTAs that resonate directly with them.
Peter Drucker said:
“The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well, the product or service fits him and sells itself.”
This quote encompasses the first vital step in building a marketing funnel that converts: understanding your ideal customer.
Understanding Your Ideal Customer
There are many ways of doing this, but one of my favorites is called empathy mapping. If you’re unfamiliar with that term, you can check out this article, but fundamentally it looks like this:
By analyzing our ideal customer within the context of these six categories, we can begin to structure our message around what is most important to them:
Goals (Who are we empathizing with? What do they need to do?)
What do they see?
What do they say?
What do they do?
What do they hear?
What do they think & feel? (Pains/gains)
The answers to these questions then give us a framework to follow when deciding what our message needs to be and how to communicate it most effectively so we can engage our target audience at each stage of the consumer decision journey.
If you haven’t done this for your business before, print off a copy of the diagram above and try it yourself!
Once this step has been completed, we can then confidently move on to the second phase: the technical implementation.
As mentioned previously, funnels come in many forms depending on your goals, and a forensic analysis of how to create each one is beyond the scope of this article.
However, there are some universal components that are fundamental to all successful funnels, which I will now briefly discuss to give you the best chance of success:
1. Flexible software:
The best strategy in the world is useless without the necessary tools to execute it. The ability to customize every aspect of every page, test them against each other and manage leads effectively with minimal amounts of friction is vital to your success.
Fortunately, there are several tools available that make this process as pain-free as possible:
Clickfunnels: https://www. clickfunnels. com/
Kartra: https://home .kartra. com/index
Unbounce: https://www. unbounce. com
Any of the above will get the job done, with nuanced features depending on your specific goals.
2. High-value lead magnets:
This is where we start to reap the rewards of our empathy mapping process. Typical lead magnets include:
E-books
Physical books (if you’re an author)
Cheat-sheets
Buyer’s guides
Video tutorials
Understanding the core problem you are solving for your ideal customer enables you to craft a lead magnet that sparks your prospect’s interest. The idea is to clearly demonstrate value by positioning your offer as the best solution to their problem, generating enough desire for your product or service that your audience is happy to exchange their contact information to get it.
Here’s a simple structure to follow when creating lead magnets:
“How to do ________ without ______.”
For example:
“How to lose weight without starving yourself on crazy diet plans!”
Keep in mind, the lead magnet should give your prospect everything they need to solve their problem on their own, while highlighting the common obstacles they are likely to face in doing so.
3. Compelling and emotional marketing copy:
This is where the rubber really meets the road.
Now that we’ve successfully exchanged some upfront value (lead magnet) for the prospect’s basic information and shown them how to solve their problems, our new goal is to build enough trust that they are willing to give us the opportunity to solve it for them.
To achieve this, we must answer the following questions:
What is the root cause of their problem?
Why can’t they (or why is it difficult to) fix it themselves?
What is the cost of them not fixing it?
How does your product/service fix the problem?
Why is your product/service better than (or different from) competitors?
What results are your current customers already getting?
How can they easily switch to work with you?
The purpose of this is to trigger an emotional reaction while encouraging the prospect to trust that we’re an authority in our field and can help them solve their problem, just like we’ve helped others.
4. Irresistible offers:
At this stage, if you’ve properly executed the previous steps, your prospect should be very interested in working with you. If they’re not, then they probably aren’t a close enough match to your ideal customer.
All that is stopping them from taking action is a compelling reason to do so now.
Keep in mind, so far we’ve taken the prospect on a powerful emotional journey, but the same emotional triggers that have endeared them to our brand will also make them doubtful about taking the next vital step (to work with us).
Your prospect will likely be thinking;
“I feel like doing this would be a great idea, but maybe I’ll sleep on it/check with my partner/wait until payday/any other excuse before deciding for sure…”
Whether you’re asking them to set up a consulting call, attend an event, or buy a physical product, this flutter brain reaction is what will consign your efforts directly to the funnel graveyard.
“People buy on emotion, but justify with logic.”
Which is exactly why we now need to justify the emotional benefits of using our product by appealing to their logical brain – and provide them with an irresistible offer that it would be completely illogical for them to say no to.
Typically, the best way to do this is to bundle together multiple different products & services into a high perceived value package, with a discount that expires if they don’t take action within a specific timeframe. Time-sensitive offers are so effective because they leverage one of the most powerful principles of persuasion: scarcity. Scarcity is the perception that products are more attractive when their availability is limited. Simply put, scarcity sells.
By promoting time-sensitive, high-value offers, we combine the trust and good will associated with our brand with a logical reason to take action now rather than later, creating the necessary conditions for a successful conversion to take place.
5. Relevant Call-to-Action (CTA):
And finally…
…remember to ask for what you want!
It might sound like a basic point, but if you don’t ask, you don’t get – and you would be surprised how using the incorrect terminology in your CTA can hurt your conversions.
If you’re asking somebody to sign up for a call, then using language like “Speak To An Expert” will consistently outperform a simple “Book Now” CTA.
Before we wrap up, it’s important to remember the final ingredient to building a successful funnel – and arguably the most important component of any marketing strategy: Consistent, data-driven iterations and improvements.
Ultimately, no funnel will be perfect straight out of the gate… but that’s why we invented A/B testing!
The ability to isolate which variables will move the needle on conversion rates at each stage of the consumer decision journey is what will turn even the most basic funnel into a well-oiled, lead generation machine.
Over time, what you will end up with is not just a marketing funnel that converts, but a self-reinforcing feedback loop with your customers that continuously improves itself – and informs long-term decisions about product development, content creation and your brand’s overall position within your niche.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit more about our approach to marketing funnels! I hope you found this post useful and learned a few valuable takeaways to apply to your own marketing efforts. If you have any questions, or you want to share your own experience with building marketing funnels, be sure to drop us a note in a comment below. We’d love to hear from you!

Soul of a New Machine by  @stygianlotus

Rating: M

Optional info:
Is English your first language? Yes How long have you been writing for? 4 years Are you 18+? No Do you want publish / write professionally one day? Maybe
Technical Style / Formatting: Paragraphs are of a good size.
Quotes and dialogue are all correct, punctuation is used correctly.
I find parenthesis to be unnecessary in fiction, but they are still used correctly.
Could use a bit of dialogue attribution switch-ups (Lance said vs. said Lance) here and there, but that’s a very small thing.
The second chapter’s flashback doesn’t need to be entirely in italics, but it’s ok.
Pace: The pace is affected by the problem of the mixed-omniscient narrator.
The biggest core problem in the story, and one that is at the root of all others like the confusing sentence structure is: Who is our narrator and what does our narrator know?
In some paragraphs, is seems like we have an unreliable, deep-pov narrator that keeps us well inside of Lance’s head. In other paragraphs, the narrator informs us in a more omniscient way of information that Lance himself does not know. And inconsistence narrator can lead to plot and characterization problems, as well and issues with general prose flow and how the story progresses.
We need to establish solidly who the narrator is (is it a detached voice of lance, or an outside figure?) and what exactly they know. Do they know A) everything about everyone, all the time? (omniscient) B) Everything about lance and only Lance (Limited omniscient) or C) Some things about Lance, but not everything (Unreliable non-omniscient)
Establishing this will help with the confusing sentence structure and set the pace and tone of the story so the reader can understand what’s going on (even with limited information) and progress.
Dialogue: The dialogue is fairly good, and I appreciate the fact that the team care about Lance and want him to feel safe and welcome back on the team.
Once we solve the narration problem, the dialogue will fit the story that much better.
Characterization: So far, characterization isn’t too much of a problem, but with huge, personality-changing events such as capture and torture, it’s really important to research trauma and how is can affect a person. It’s up to you to decide how lance’s behaviour deals with his trauma, whether he chooses to smile through it and pretend nothing is wrong, or like in your story actually show that he has been deeply affected.
It’s not wrong for Lance’s personality to change from an extreme situation. I think it would be wrong to write him as the exact same person he was before his capture, but I also want to stress that he is not 100% a new person. There are and will always be fragments of the old person there, and they will have good days where they are able to laugh and joke and have  a good time. It’s about finding the balance of depth.
For research, I would really recommend watching the movie Room (2016) about the 5-year-old child who grew up in captivity with his mother. This movie does an amazing job of showing that even in a dire situation, they are able to be sane and smart. It also shows that they are not immune to breaking down and falling apart. Both are true, and that is what makes the story so powerful.
Flow / Prose Style:
Try to find and remove extraneous filler words like was and had. As well, look for text written in the passive voice, and try to edit it to become more active.
“The cup was picked up by Lance.” - Passive “Lance picked up the cup.” - Active
I think I understand what you’re going for in the beginning, so I’m going to make a few assumptions.
The opening fades in like a person coming into consciousness after being knocked out- blurry, unclear, unable to pin facts and details and people. This is an appropriate way to open a thriller / angst story, no problems there.
My advice for a choice like this is that as an author you need to be very careful and specific about what you make clear and what you make hazy.
Too clear, and you don’t get the desired effect.
Too hazy and your readers are confused and bored because they can’t understand enough
So when you’re doing a style like this, be very careful about who knows what, and who is being mentioned. If you turn too many names into epithets or pronouns (he or she) we very easily lose track of what the narrator is referring to.
“He remembered Allura ordering for them to attack him, remembered Hunk being the one to do it while Lance was still restrained.”
This sentences contains two “he’s” and the second one is unclear as to who it’s referring to. We could use clarity by saying “Lance remembered Allura ordering for them to attack him, remembered Hunk being the one to do it while he was still restrained.”
“How could they still act like they were best friends after everything that had happened?”
And here, it’s slightly unclear as to who the “they” is referring to. Lance and Hunk? Lance and the rest of the paladins? Hunk and the rest of the paladins? etc.
For someone who is english as first language, some of the phrasing is… odd. It’s not exactly passive voice, nor is it grammatically incorrect, but it attributes action and intention to the wrong symbol of importance.
Like PutTING the emPHAsis on the wrong sylLAble. It’s not incorrect, but it it is jarring.
““Hey, Lance?” The sudden voice jerked Lance out of his thoughts, looking up quickly like he had gotten used to doing.”
The second part of the sentence says that it’s the voice, not lance, that looked up quickly.
“Keith’s face made Lance take an involuntary step back, watching him cautiously.”
This is also odd phrasing that leads to odd mental image. It’s like Keith is pressing Lance around physically… with his face. Keith’s face doesn’t really make anyone do anything unless he’s physically using it. The way it’s described currently gives keith’s face, and not keith himself the agency and importance.
At the very end of the sentence, it’s unclear whether it’s Keith’s face or Lance that is doing the watching cautiously.
I get the idea of the scene, but the phrases used to describe the action are odd. So when the common thread of concern is confusing sentence structure, it’s often a good time to go back to the basics and start from the bottom. try to rewrite sentences three times and pick the best one you like. this can also help stimulate new ideas and new ways of phrasing.
Parenthesis tend to be aside thoughts. Find a way to integrate them into their own sentence or paragraph. Also, things said in parenthesis tend to come across as comedic, so it helps the tone of the serious story to try to minimize them.
The same goes for but / although additions to sentences. Decide if they deserve their own new sentence or paragraph or if that information really needs to be told to the reader at all.
Beware when using epithets. “The blue paladin” sounds cold and unsympathetic. If you want readers to attach themselves, use names.
Story:
There’s a lack of impact in the initial chapter because we are told snippets of Lance’s experiences, but rather than holding it as a mystery, or exploring it in more depth, these things come across like an informative list rather than a story.
Each event and experience that lance has faced, while impactful on its own, loses impact when strung together with the other pieces that come across as list-like.
There are two options of exploring lance’s experiences, and this will come down to how you choose to narrate the story, and it’s this: Do you want Lance to be the POV character or not?
If you make lance the poc character, you can explore all of his thoughts and memories of the events of his capture. It would be an internal tale, and explore him learning to communicate with his team once again.
Or, you could make Keith the POV character, and write more of a “medical mystery / crime procedural” type story, where the team slowly learns of the events that happened to Lance and how deep they go. (this does not have to be a klance fic or romantic at all if you choose to make keith the POV. He’s just the narrator who cares about his friend)
The flaws in the first couple of chapters are a little counterintuitive. The story seems a bit rushed, and one would assume that it’s under explained. I think the opposite is true. It’s over explained, trying to catch us up as quickly as possible to everything that has happened to Lance.
What would make the story more interesting would be to let each event breathe a bit, and explore more of Lance’s sensory reactions and his dialogue with his team than simply stating what happened to him and what went wrong. Show us Lance’s flightiness and mistrust instead of telling us about his torture.
The first chapter could use a bit more environmental description. Where do they go in the lions? How far? When?
The second chapter where Keith is rescuing Lance is fairly straightforward a good, we just need to decide on a main narrator and stick to them.
“Keith wished that he knew how to help, really – it was frustrating to all of them. They wanted to be able to help, but Lance wouldn’t let them in. He still kept everything inside, as he usually did, they’d learned. Lance was the type to bottle up his emotions because he was worried they’d hold someone back.”
This would be a great opportunity to show us Lance’s mistrust instead of telling us. What are his actions? His reactions? What does he do, specifically?
“Coran wished that he could see what was going on inside of Lance’s head so that he could help him.”
This comes across as odd and weak because we as readers can see inside of lance’s head. We were told lots of things by the story, so there’s no surprise or mystery. We feel smarter than Coran, rather than on his level.
The story really starts to take shape in the third chapter, and I really like that Coran is both a main part of the story and well-characterized. But the POV / narration problems are of prime concern. Once we figure these out, it will start to flow much more smoothly and be much more engaging to read!

What do federal government contractors do?
A government contractor is a private business that produces items and services for public federal government agencies. Contractors end up being utilized by the federal government by winning agreements that are out for quote. … Much like government firms, federal government contractors been available in all different sizes. Not every government job is done by a government employee; significantly, federal and state federal government works with a Government Contractor from the economic sector. The thinking is simple: there is a belief that private business can do the work faster and better at a lower expense. In fact, Daniel Moynihan once said, “The single most exciting thing you come across in government is competence, due to the fact that it’s so rare.” So, what is associated with being a contractor for government jobs? The contractors we are talking about own companies doing whatever from construction to managing security. Contracting has been around considering that the 1980s but in the past years it has actually ended up being a pattern. This contracting is likewise referred to as privatization or as outsourcing and is due, in part, to increased government boondoggle, or “red tape.” Federal governments tend to employ people to employ people to work with people. This contracting is likewise described as privatization, or as outsourcing. A study commissioned by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie found that privatization of specific state government contractors saved the state in excess of $210 million, according to the website LGI. West Virginia turned its Employees’ Compensation firm into a private insurance agency in 2005. Rates decreased by almost 30 percent. On the other hand, Texas relied on outsourcing for its information control and emergency situation retrieval. The state awarded a private business a seven-year contract worth about $863 million. The offer broke down due to under-staffing and “careless service.” Because most private and public corporations count on computer system service, the down-time was devastating. The answer to this question appears to be that state and city governments can privatize agencies and contract individual jobs, but they have to keep oversight. That implies continually keeping an eye on quality and cost. In addition, there need to be an initial cost-effectiveness study that becomes a working plan. Why is the tail end of that statement important? The answer to this is again, federal government boondoggle. In Colorado, for instance, a cost-effectiveness research study was done for constructing a brand-new veteran’s hospital. The facility was to be incorporated into an existing task at a likely cost of around $200 million. A contractor started building and construction but, after years of delay, the federal government had actually morphed the advancement into a stand-alone hospital with an increasing expense of more than $800 million and the courts are considering enabling the contractor to ignore the project. Oversight and cost-and-effectiveness studies are important, however federal governments need to “stay the course” for contracting to show effective and cost-saving. That Colorado problem is not agent of all government privatization. Federal government agreements can be financially rewarding for personal companies. The site Stable Job.com points out that the wage for government-hired employees is generally high. In fact, the typical pay for an employee is $55,000 and can reach $90,000. Business and employees can be sure they will be paid. Payment, however, can be slow in coming. It is also in some cases challenging to fulfill federal government credentials for a job. There isn’t a great deal of job security in federal government contract jobs: once they are completed the contract is terminated but, if you do good work, there is a high possibility of repeat hire. The other disadvantage for contract employees is that, given that they are not really civil servant, they do not have the very same benefit package. Federal government is growing and increased intricacy typically leads to locations of overlapping tasks and indecision. The trend towards privatization makes good sense. The Government Contractor is likely to be in demand for some time to come.
youtube
Check out a federal company and you may never know some workers are civil servant and some are contractors. The two often work side by side, and lots of contractors work under the direct management of federal jobs managers. Some of individuals working for contracting business wish for a government job, but numerous state they wouldn’t think about giving up their contracting status. An Option to Government A lot of people desire federal jobs however there’s more demand than supply, according to NJ.com. In fact landing a government position is often a long, arduous and tiresome procedure. It’s typically quicker and easier to get a job with a federal government contracting business. Mike Borgia, a production operations supervisor at Boeing, recommends in ClearanceJobs.com that defense contractors will employ you on the spot, no documentation, no waiting, if you have what the business want. A Different Method
Working for a contracting business does not have to be an option to federal employment; it can be an alternate means of achieving that objective. Contract positions supply a chance to acquire valuable experience, and lots of contract staff members are eventually offered government positions. Even when deals are forthcoming, it’s often easier to transition from contracting to federal employment, than it is for an outside candidate to get a job with no appropriate experience.
How to end up being a government contractor?
Look for smaller state and regional agreements. Research government agencies. Network within government contracting and procurement programs. … Go to government agency events. Find a mentor. Train your team. Market towards federal government agencies. An Appealing Package Many people find working for contracting companies to be rather attractive because they tend to pay well. Contractors generally make more than the government workers by their sides. On average, contractors with a security clearance earned $15,000 more than their federal government coworkers, according to a 2011 ClearanceJobs income study. Contractors’ incomes are typically enhanced with an attractive advantages bundle, including paid time off, budget-friendly medical insurance and retirement advantages. Get ready for Criticism Working for a contracting company can require tough skin. Contract workers frequently claim there’s no sense of friendship. They state government workers look down on them, make their jobs more difficult, enforce higher standards and often even try to get them fired. Contracting positions are also slammed by many members of the public who argue that contractors are overpaid and the government shouldn’t contract out numerous jobs. Not Danger Free Working for a contracting business likewise involves some dangers. In October 2013, the government partly closed down for over 2 weeks. Congress approved back pay for furloughed government workers, however not for contractors. Whether or not they earned money was left approximately their employers, who would not be repaid. There’s also less overall job security for contractors due to risks such as budget plan cuts and the lack of assignments at the conclusion of a contract. But lots of people accept that that’s simply the way it goes. Compensation In general, federal contractors can expect to be paid more than government workers doing the exact same job. However, given that contractors are not government employees, you will not get the generous benefits for which full-time government workers are eligible. If you own a small company and you’re thinking about obtaining a government contract, you can expect to receive reasonable market settlement or much better– but you will be taking on other vendors who send bids for the job.
Tumblr media
Luckily, you can find out precisely just how much the federal government has paid for similar jobs in the past by browsing the Federal Procurement Data System. (Unlike economic sector customers, the federal government shares its spending history. After all, it’s funded by taxpayers– so they figure you have a right to know just how much you invested.). Flexibility. If you like the concept of working for the world’s largest employer, however do not want to be used by the federal government full-time, contracting can be a great way to go. You do need to abide by the regards to your government contract. Nevertheless, once the work is over, you can select to end your company relationship with the government if you choose it’s not for you. Or, you may want to court business of a various government agency. The flexibility of federal government contracting, compared to full-time government work, lets you test the waters of performing government work, with fairly little danger. Free Resources. The federal government wants to deal with small businesses– and you’ll discover a bunch of online resources readily available to help you navigate the procedure of government contracting. For starters, try the Federal Organisation Opportunities website, the Government Contracting Small Business Advancement Center (SBDC), and https://www.fbo.gov. Opportunities for Unique Classification Businesses. Are you a Woman-Owned Small Companies, Small Disadvantaged Service, or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses? via RSS feed - SEOCheckOut Discover An Easy To Use Software Tool That Finds UNLIMITED Relevant Backlinks...With A Few Clicks Of Your Mouse! All website owners who have the intent to make money online want traffic to their blog, landing page or website offers. What if you could get a highly targeted traffic and leads to your business without spending a penny in advertising your business online? Sounds cool right? You can only achieve that if you rank first page in Google on a good amount of search volume keywords. To do this, high-quality and relevant backlinks are necessary as link building is still the largest factor to rank your website well in Google SERPS.How to Build Backlinks in 2019 (NEW Guide)Backlinks are the nitrous of every successful SEO campaign. This new guide will teach how to build backlinks in 2019. Every strategy you will read is battle tested.Through hundreds of successful SEO campaigns, we now know what does and does NOT work.Ready to get started? Start watching (or reading): What are Backlinks (and How Do They Work)?A “backlink” is created when an external website links to yours. This why some people refer to them as “external backlinks” or “inbound links”.Here’s how it looks in action: These links are a large piece of the ranking puzzle. But before we get into the heavy link building strategy…You need to make sure that your site is ready for backlinks. When to Build BacklinksMany people dive into link acquisition before they’ve built a strong foundation. What you must realize is that a strong foundation (a well-optimized website) makes your link building more effective. When your backlinks are more effective, you don’t need as many to achieve your desired result! That ultimately saves you time and money. So, here’s what you need to cover before jumping into link building:1. Fix All Technical/UX IssuesTechnical issues can hurt User Experience (UX) and UX is correlated to SEO performance (or lack of it).View this as a foundational stage of the process. That’s because if speed through this process, you backlinks won’t be as effective. And what happens when your backlinks aren’t as effective? You have to acquire more, which costs your company more money. Here are some technical/UX issues you need to look for:Site loading speed (use Google’s PageSpeed Insights)Mobile friendliness (use Google’s Mobile Friendly checkDuplicate content (use Siteliner)Canonical errorsDuplicate META dataIncorrect uses of directives (noindex, nofollow, etc)Redirect ChainsSometimes the most obvious solutions are right in front of your face. Redirect chains are another simple problem that can boost your site’s authority once fixed. This is what a redirect chain looks like: By fixing a redirect chain you will send authority/link equity directly to the page. That is more effective than making the link equity pass through a buffer.302sThere’s some debate on whether or not PageRank passes through 302 redirects. For many years, SEOs (including myself) have always stated that you should change 302s to 301s. This is still my stance. However, he’s what Gary Illyes said about the topic: “30x redirects don’t lose PageRank anymore.”Is Gary telling the truth? Probably. But I still don’t think it’s worth the risk.Out of the hundreds of SEO audits I’ve conducted, I’ve seen a few websites using 302s for their actual purpose (a temporary redirect). In most cases 302s are nothing more than accidental. With that said:It’s my preference to change 302s to 301s if they aren’t being used for their actual purpose.Reclaim Lost Link Juice (404 Link Reclamation)404 link reclamation is at the top of the list because it is the easiest. You can use Google Search Console to find 404s (Crawl > Crawl Errors > Not Found):You can also use Screaming Frog to find 404 as well (Response Codes > Client Error – 4xx):Then to see what 404 pages have backlinks, just use Ahrefs’ or Majestic’s bulk analysis tools.I recommend doing both just in case you miss some links. When you find pages with link equity, you must 301 redirect them to a relevant page on the site or to your homepage.Fix Broken External LinksEvery external link you place on your site leaks authority. That’s why it’s important to audit your site (here’s an SEO audit checklist) to find broken external links. This applies to both external links in your content and in the comment section. You can easily find these broken external links using Ahrefs.Go to “Outgoing links” and click “Broken Links”.You can use Screaming Frog SEO Spider to find most of these issues such 302 redirects, redirect chains, 404 errors, canonical errors, duplicate META data and incorrect uses of directives.2. Develop a Strong Site ArchitectureDeveloping an intelligent site architecture is the single best way to get the most “bang for your buck” when it comes to link building. My favorite site architecture strategy is to use a reverse silo.Instead of trying to acquire backlinks to non-linkable pages (homepages, category pages, product pages, etc), the reverse silo is built to acquire backlinks to content-rich pages. These may be blog posts or individual information-driven pages. Here’s how it works:This is a more effective approach for link acquisition because people are much more willing to link to valuable information than sales-driven pages. With that said:The ultimate goal of the reverse silo is to distribute link authority (PageRank) from your content assets to your sales-driven pages (via internal linking).I believe this content-centric approach is the safest way to grow your site’s authority.Bringing me to the next point:3. Create Linkable AssetsEvery effective link building campaign should begin with creating linkable assets.First, what is a linkable asset?A linkable asset is usually a blog post or page that is informationally-driven.For example, this blog post you’re currently reading is a linkable asset. It’s designed to educate and add value to my industry. Not only is it easier to acquire backlinks to a valuable content asset, but it’s much more scalable in the long run. That’s because you can continue to earn new backlinks overtime without much additional effort. That is, if you created the content the right way.Read my guide on how to create SEO content to learn more.At this stage, your website is on a strong foundation so it’s time to start building backlinks, right?Wait a second. You need to have a clear understanding of what a “quality” link opportunity looks like before you dive in.This will help:7 Backlink Quality IndicatorsNot all backlinks are created equally and that’s why it’s critical that you know what a good backlink look like. Here are some guidelines to follow:1. RelevanceYour #1 link building objective should be to get backlinks on websites that are relevant to yours. But don’t take my word for it. Here’s what a former member of Google’s search quality team, Andre Weyher, said back in 2012:Not only this but take PR for example, getting a link from a high PR page used to always be valuable, today it’s more the relevance of the site’s theme in regards to yours, relevance is the new PR. – Andre WeyherThis quote is stating the obvious:Your link acquisition efforts should begin with the most relevant opportunities. But there’s a problem with this approach:Getting 100% exact relevancy for every single link is unrealistic. That’s why I develop The Relevancy Pyramid framework for prioritizing your link opportunities. The Relevancy PyramidHere’s a visual representation:The idea is quite simple. There is a limited supply of 100% relevant link opportunities. However, as you broaden your research, there will be many more opportunities to go after. The key is prioritize opportunities at the top of the pyramid (since they’re the most relevant) and work your way down the pyramid (towards less relevant opportunities).Let me show you how it would work with a more practical example.I’m going to show you how I would prioritize opportunities for a supplement company.Tier One: 100% RelevancyI will designate a “1” to any opportunities that are 100% relevant to the supplement company. An example of 100% relevancy would be a website that reviews supplements. Or, a website that focuses on a specific supplement that the client offers like creatine. As you can imagine, 100% relevant opportunities are few and far between. This is especially true in the “supplement” industry. That’s because supplement companies create micro supplement sites to persuade you. So the chances of landing a link are low.Tier Two: 75% RelevancyAll opportunities that are 75% relevant get a “2” designation. On this tier you would want to focus on “body building” opportunities.Tier Three: 50% RelevancyOn tier three, you would focus on all “fitness” opportunities and assign a “3” to them. The fitness space has unlimited opportunities.First, you would focus on pure “fitness” blogs. After that, you could move onto any type of sports, CrossFit, or runner blogs. It would likely take a year to tap into all the opportunities within this relevancy tier.Tier Four: 25% RelevancyOn tier four, you would focus on “health” opportunities and assign a “4” to them. There are countless websites about “health” in general. But, you can also tap into nutrition, elderly health, women’s health, and men’s health blogs.Tier Five: 0% RelevancyOn tier five, you would focus on more “general” opportunities. For example, if I link to the fall outfits guide on Joyfully Styled, it won’t be as effective a “Tier 1” opportunity. That’s because SEO and fashion aren’t relevant to each other. But, that doesn’t mean the link I injected won’t work.We classify “general” (Tier 5) opportunities as authoritative news sites, colleges, and unrelated, but high-quality blogs. You would assign a “5” to these opportunities.News sites such as Huffington Post, Fox, CNN, or Yahoo would be targets on this tier. You are likely wondering what “unrelated, but high-quality blogs” are…Let me explain. You would want to ask yourselfoes the supplement company have a CEO who would like to share success secrets? If the answer is “Yes”, then focus on entrepreneur, business, small business, sales, marketing, and Internet marketing blogs. You would also want to consider productivity or self improvement blogs. That’s because both topics could incorporate supplements in one way or another. Now that you understand the Relevancy Pyramid model, here’s how it would actually look in practice: I wouldn’t normally color code, but I wanted you to see the different tiers. The cool thing about this process is that you can outsource the entire thing. So, what I just showed you is how I would leverage the concept of a Relevancy Pyramid for a national SEO campaign. Now let me show you how you can use this technique on the local level to prioritize link opportunities. This is just a brief overview of the surprises and secrets present in this Offer by: adamalsafi Created: -- Category: Link Building Viewed: 29
