Is It Good to Use Vitamin E on Your Face Everyday? Unveiling the Benefits of Vitamin E Skincare
Vitamin E, a fat-soluble antioxidant, is renowned for its numerous health benefits, both when consumed internally and applied externally to the skin. When it comes to skincare, Vitamin E for skin care has gained immense popularity due to its potential to nourish, protect, and rejuvenate the skin. But is it safe and beneficial to use vitamin E on the face every day?
In this blog, we will explore the vitamin E benefits for the skin when included in your daily skincare routine and address some considerations to ensure optimal results.
Understanding Vitamin E for Skin
Vitamin E plays a vital role in protecting cells from damage throughout the body. It is naturally present in our sebum, the skin's oil, which acts as a natural barrier, retaining moisture. As a result, areas of the skin with higher oil production, such as the face, contain more significant amounts of vitamin E. Those with oily skin have elevated levels of sebum, leading to higher concentrations of vitamin E on their skin. Adding vitamin E cream or skincare products to your daily routine offers several skin benefits that we will discuss below:
Benefits of Vitamin E for Skin
Moisturizes and Hydrates: Vitamin E is an excellent emollient, which means it helps retain the skin's moisture. Regular application of vitamin E creams or oils can keep the skin hydrated, soft, and supple, especially in dry and harsh weather conditions.
Boosts Collagen Production: The production of collagen is vital for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. Vitamin E has been shown to promote collagen synthesis, reducing the appearance of sagging skin and promoting a more youthful complexion.
Fades Scars and Blemishes: The regenerative properties of vitamin E can aid in fading scars, acne marks, and blemishes over time. It promotes skin cell turnover and helps replace damaged cells with healthy ones, leading to a more even skin tone.
Soothes Sunburned Skin: Vitamin E's anti-inflammatory properties can help soothe sunburned skin and reduce redness and irritation caused by excessive sun exposure.
Protects Against UV Damage: While vitamin E should not be considered a substitute for sunscreen, its antioxidant properties can complement sun protection efforts by neutralizing free radicals caused by UV rays.
Conclusion:
Using vitamin E on the face every day can be a beneficial addition to your skincare regimen. Its antioxidant properties help protect the skin from free radical damage, moisturize, boost collagen production, and fade scars and blemishes. However, it's essential to choose the right product, follow recommended dosages, and be consistent in your application to experience the best results.
As with any skincare ingredient, what works for one person may not necessarily work for another, so it's essential to pay attention to how your skin responds and adjust your routine accordingly. If you have specific skin concerns or are uncertain about incorporating vitamin E into your skincare routine, consider consulting a dermatologist for personalized advice and recommendations. With proper usage and the right products, vitamin E can become a valuable ally in maintaining healthy, radiant skin for years to come.

DIY: Summer Citrus Sugar Scrub
Rejuvenate and revive your skin with this easy citrus sugar scrub recipe. With only 3 ingredients you probably already have on hand, you’ll be ready to whip up this gentle exfoliating body scrub in no time!
Sugar Scrub, or body polish is a luxurious way to refresh your skin. It is so gentle that it can even be used on sensitive skin.
Exfoliating body scrub makes a great shower favor, quick gift, treat for yourself or a hostess gift when you are welcomed to a friend’s beach house. This jar will keep my skin happy all summer long!
Keep a jar of this sugar scrub by your kitchen to soothe your hands after washing dishes. It will rehydrate your skin from the harshness of the hot water and dish soap. Keep a jar of sugar scrub in the shower for a mini spa treatment up to 3 times a week!
Citrus Sugar Scrub Recipe Ingredients
It’s made with just a few ingredients, from your kitchen!
Sugar – 1/2 cup of regular white table sugar is perfect for this diy sugar scrub! It exfoliates your skin, gentling rubbing away dead skin cells leaving your skin feeling smooth and radiant.
Oil – I use 1/4 cup Vitamin E Oil in this recipe which is so good for your skin. Its anti inflammatory properties soothes and calms, while hydrating dry skin and working to heal any blemishes.
Citrus – Is so good for your body inside and out! Naturally full of vitamin C it leaves your skin with a beautiful glow! It also can help to lighten sun spots or other blemishes on your skin. I love the texture and beautiful color the citrus adds along with its amazingly refreshing scent! You can use the zest from one Orange, Grapefruit, or Lemon, or 2 Limes, in this recipe.
*** Zest is made from the top layer of a fruit peel. Always try to avoid the white pith. If you don’t have a zester, you can use a vegetable peeler to gently peel the top layer of your fruit. Then cut the strips into finer strips lengthwise, and then again into tiny cubes widthwise.
Supplies
Large Glass Mixing Bowl
Handheld Citrus Zester (variations under Tips and Tricks)
Spatula
Measuring Cups
Sealable Glass Jars (I like to use mason jars or repurpose clean jars I already own)
Ice Cream Scoop
How to Make Exfoliating Body Scrub
This scrub is so easy to make. It only contains natural ingredients and no artificial food colorings.
Combine sugar and oil.
2. Add zest.
3. Scoop into sealable glass jars.
4. Label and date.
5. Store for up to 3 months in an airtight container.
Variations
This sugar scrub recipe is so easy to customize to fit your needs!
Citrus Variations – In this recipe I use orange, but any other citrus would work well! In the past, I have used grapefruit, orange, lime, and lemon. They all have worked wonderfully! If using lime I chose to use the zest from 2 limes since they are smaller sized fruit.
Oil Variations – Vitamin E Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Almond Oil, Carrot Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Grapeseed Oil.
Sugar Variations – Any white sugar should work well in this recipe. Sugar is used for a gentle exfoliation so keep that in mind when choosing the coarseness of the sugar.
For a winter sugar scrub try adding a dash of ground cloves or ground cinnamon.
Add a few drops of essential oils. My favorite combinations include other citrus oils to complement and enhance, floral scents such as moroccan rose or lavender, and woody scents such cedar or rosemary.
Pro Tip: If using coconut oil, it will help to slightly warm the oil on the stovetop or even the microwave before adding it to the mixture. I love coconut oil and lime combination!
How to Store Sugar Scrub
This Sugar Scrub recipe can be stored for up to 3 months in a properly sealed jar / airtight container.
PRO TIP: Upcycle jars you already own!

Sergle I have cuticle questions!! I got my nails done last week and the technician trimmed them (after putting oil on them). But two of them tore back to the skin, and the skin on all of them has been peeling back more than usual since then. How do I tend to my cuticles without the peeling and splitting??
HM okay so I'm not a nail technician and I can't say For Sure why your cuticles are peeling and splitting. But not everyone's cuticles take well to being nipped, that's why ppl generally recommend pushing them back or using cuticle dissolvant on them before trying to cut them- I'd recommend trying that route! not every nail tech is going to be Gentle w your cuticles, but if you use cuticle oil / moisturizer at home and you gently push them back on a fairly regular basis, the shreddiness should heal and you can still keep them from growing down the nail plate.
#your skin might just not take well to that kind of thing. cutting them can make the cuticle grow faster#and it can cause the skin to get thicker (scar tissue yk) or to split like you're describing#if the nail salon you go to employs those little tiny drills#then you could ask her to use the little Cuticle Drillbit to clean up the crusty part of your cuticle#and file the dead skin instead of using the Nippers#definitely still use nippers for little hanging pieces of skin that could SNAG though. you still want to do that#but yeah- you can buy a cuticle oil for yourself or you can make one with jojoba oil and vitamin E#jojoba oil is the thing that'll really get you there and the vitamin E is just all-purposely good for skin#and since it's a lot more viscous it'll help w the consistency of the mixture bc jojoba is REALLY liquidy#use a regular ole lotion or hand cream after you wash your hands#for your At Home Cuticle Care you can pick up just about ANY cuticle dissolvant. I use the sally hansen one#do that every few weeks or when you see some cuticle growth that's bugging you#and buy a little cuticle pusher or some orangewood sticks#if you don't already have one of those things#that's more or less all the advice I got!#nailposting

Pro tip: if you are ever struggling with a sore throat get vitamin E oil! Or capsules that you can break open. I learned this from one of my voice teachers. Its usually pretty readily available, and will instantly make your throat feel better and helps with healing damage from coughing and inflammation.
#Also great for canker sores or skin!#Coconut oil works well too but can act as a laxative if taken too much#And vitamin e is more effective with healing

Reasons to Add Vitamin E to Your Skin Care Routine Now
Are you looking for a simple and effective way to enhance your skincare routine? Look no further than the power of Vitamin E for the skin! This incredible ingredient has been hailed as a skin-saving superhero thanks to its numerous benefits. From fading hyperpigmentation to preventing signs of ageing, Vitamin E is a must-have in any beauty enthusiast's arsenal. In this blog post, we will explore why adding Vitamin E to your skincare routine can work wonders for your complexion. So sit back, relax, and get ready to discover the secrets behind this extraordinary nutrient!
What is Vitamin E?
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that provides numerous benefits for your skin. It is a fat-soluble vitamin that can be found in various foods such as nuts, seeds, and vegetable oils. This essential nutrient plays a crucial role in protecting your skin from damage caused by free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can lead to premature ageing and other skin issues.
Benefits Of Adding Vitamin E To Your Skin Care Regime
1) Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation is a common skin concern that affects many people. It occurs when certain areas of the skin become darker than the surrounding skin due to an increase in melanin production. This can be caused by various factors, such as sun exposure, hormonal changes, and inflammation.
One of the benefits of incorporating Vitamin E into your skincare routine is its ability to help reduce hyperpigmentation. Vitamin E has antioxidant properties that can help protect against free radical damage and promote cell regeneration. By applying products containing Vitamin E topically, you can fade dark spots and even out your skin tone over time.
When using Vitamin E for hyperpigmentation, it's important to use products specifically formulated for this purpose. Look for serums or vitamin E creams that contain higher concentrations of Vitamin E to ensure maximum effectiveness in targeting dark spots. Combining these products with daily SPF protection will further prevent new pigmentation from forming.
2) Gives soft and smooth lips
Who doesn't want soft, supple lips that feel as smooth as silk? Well, adding Vitamin E to your skincare routine can help you achieve just that. Vitamin E is known for its moisturizing properties, which makes it the perfect ingredient to nourish and hydrate your lips.
The skin on our lips is delicate and prone to dryness, especially during harsh weather conditions or when exposed to harmful UV rays. But with Vitamin E in your arsenal, you can say goodbye to chapped and cracked lips.
Vitamin E helps lock in moisture and prevents dehydration by forming a protective barrier on the surface of your lips. It also promotes cell regeneration, helping to heal any existing damage or cracks.
3) Preventing ageing and wrinkles on your face
As we age, our skin naturally undergoes changes that can result in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging. However, incorporating Vitamin E into your skincare routine can help combat these signs of ageing and keep your complexion looking youthful. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect your skin from damage caused by free radicals. These harmful molecules are produced by environmental factors such as pollution and UV radiation, which accelerate the ageing process.
In addition to its protective properties, Vitamin E also promotes cell regeneration. This means it aids in repairing damaged skin cells and encourages the growth of new ones. By stimulating cell turnover, Vitamin E helps smooth out fine lines and wrinkles over time. By neutralizing free radicals, Vitamin E helps prevent collagen breakdown and maintains the elasticity of your skin.
To fully reap the benefits of Vitamin E for anti-ageing purposes, consider using products specifically formulated with this powerhouse ingredient. Look for vitamin E creams or serums containing high concentrations of pure Vitamin E, or opt for trusted brands like The Body Shop's Vitamin E range.
4) Treats acne scars
Treating acne scars can be a frustrating and challenging task. Acne scars not only affect the appearance of your skin, but they can also have a negative impact on your self-confidence. Thankfully, Vitamin E can play a significant role in reducing the appearance of acne scars and promoting healing.
Vitamin E is known for its ability to nourish and repair damaged skin cells. When applied topically, it penetrates deep into the layers of the skin, helping to fade stubborn acne scars over time. By promoting collagen production and improving elasticity, Vitamin E helps to smooth out uneven texture caused by scarring.
In addition to its scar-fading properties, Vitamin E also has anti-inflammatory effects that help reduce redness and swelling associated with acne scars. This soothing effect can provide relief from any discomfort or irritation caused by scar tissue.
By adding Vitamin E into your skincare routine now, you are taking a proactive step towards addressing those stubborn acne scars and restoring confidence in your complexion!
